Schema Markup

What is Schema Markup?

Schema Markup is structured information you add to your webpage to make it easier for automated programs such as search engine spiders to understand the nature and intent of the page. This allows you to give hints to the search engine about the page that they can incorporate into their algorithms and increase their understanding of your pages.

The most commonly used schema format is schema.org.

Schema markup can be added to you site in HTML tags or JSON-LD formats. Google recommends that the JSON-LD format be used.
