Staff were uniformly supportive and helpful. I chose to have no anaesthesia for my cataract surgery; everyone was supportive of that choice. My ophthalmologist, Dr. Barbara Kuczynski, and her medical team worked together very well, as she explained what she was doing, step by step. A great experience!

The frontline staff and nursing staff are superior in professionalism and care. They gave a detailed explanation of procedures which was repeated by each person on the care team. They gave explanations with confirmed explanations established by the previous care provider. It is totally assuring.
The doctors on the other hand ( not the primary surgeon) were not as kind as the nursing staff. There was a feeling of not working in the desired position or venue or simply in need of better bedside manners. They could be kinder and less condescending. They were professional nonetheless.
The aftercare was superior as well. This was not an institutional experience like corporate hospitals are but very appropriately sized for out patient care.
Parking and building are adequate and clean for its purpose.

I visited the facility twice in two weeks. WOW. Truvista is a world class operation. Extremely well organized, incredibly clean, and runs like a finely tuned machine. Their staff is top notch and clearly care about the patient / customer. The nurses / anesthesiologists / doctors know their jobs well, explain the process, let you know what to expect, and take great care of you. Their preparation and attention to detail certainly minimizes complications and leads to great surgical results. Wonderful place.....I'm very satisfied and pleased my Doctor uses Truvista.

I love working here. Everyone knows their job and works very hard. The pay is definitely not enough for how much work we do…. But the staff makes it worth it. The schedule is great mon-thurs. Doctors are all very nice. Management isn’t the best but staff all looks out for each other and makes up for it. GREAT for work life balance and low stress.

My husband is writing this review. I was at Truvista Center for out patient surgery in May 2024. The facility was ver, very clean, the environment was very comfortable, the surgery was right on time and the pre-op and post-op area was very comfortable. The staff were excellent. They were very personal and professional as well as knowledge. They kept me informed throughout the procedure. The doctor was also excellent as well as the anesthetic doctor. I would love to have any future surgeries at Truvista Surgery Center.

Busy, fast paced, friendly atmosphere
Very fast paced job, there is no down time, and if you’re lucky enough to have some, you better find something productive to do. Very friendly staff and management are willing to work with your home schedule.

Eye fluid was getting on my glasses as my eye lids would not hold the fluid on the eye. Both eyes & both top & bottom lids. Driving with sun glasses was not possible as fluid covered the inside lens. Also with regular glasses but I could stop & clean them. Surgery was done mid-December only mild pain for one week. Stiches removed in one week. No pain but some soreness when washing around eyes. After three weeks no soreness and no scares. Cannot see where cuts were made as a lot of skin (eyelid) was removed. Real pleased. No pain, soreness or scar. Great Job.

My surgeon, Dr. Lawrence Handler, performed my eye surgery at Truvista Surgery Center and the entire process was flawless. I was notified of my financial obligations in advance and received my scheduled surgery time two days prior. The entire staff was friendly, professional and caring. I received a follow up call the next day to check on my progress which I appreciated. Without hesitation I would return to Truvista if I have any further ophthalmic needs.

I recently had lens replacement surgery at the Truvista Surgery Center in Troy. If ever having surgery can be pleasant and comfortable, this was it! The first thing that set this whole place apart from the rest was what would seem a small thing, but it certainly showed me that they care: My hearing ability is poor, which I mentioned to the check-in person when I checked in. What was wonderful to me is that from that point on it seemed like every one of those people whom I had to interact with made certain to speak so that I could understand them! That has not happened for me anywhere else! In addition, the rest of the experience, from the preparation for the surgery, where I was given extra warm blankets because I was cold, thru the trip riding the gurney to the surgical suite, was pleasant and comfortable. After the surgery, the trip to the recovery area must have been uneventful because I don't recall much about it. Then the nurse removing all of the things that get attached for surgery was friendly and painless.. AND when I was fully awake again they had my big cup of fresh coffee for me, as I had sorely missed my morning coffee. (No food or drink prior to surgery is the rule.) So it was clear to me that the whole team took me seriously! I certainly recommend the Truvista Surgery Center, and also Doctor Kalt, whose work has improved my vision more than was promised. Having eye surgery can be rather scary but everyone at the center from the admitting person to the nurse that worked on me and explained in detail what to expect to the anesthesiologist explaining and then Dr Handler again before surgery made me very comfortable. After care was again well received and explained follow up again. If you get to choose where to go I give this facility a 5star rating

Very busy office. Although being quite busy, unlike other offices, everything was well coordinated and organized. It took more time to prep than to do the lens replacement. Surgery only took 8 minutes. Definitely a place that puts the patient first. I would highly recommend.

The staff at Truvista were very pleasant to deal with and they understood my fear and anxiety and took time to put me at ease, in preparation for the surgery. I recently had a procedure done at Truvista Surgery Center and I am extremely pleased with the results. The staff was very professional and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. The facility itself is clean and modern, creating a calming atmosphere. I highly recommend Truvista Surgery Center for anyone in need of surgical procedures.
No one enjoys having to have surgery, especially eye surgery. I'm so squeamish about my eyes, I would hyperventilate having to put contacts in, so I switched to glasses. That being said, I eventually needed to have cataract surgery. I avoided it like the plague. When I finally decided it was time, my doc and I scheduled it and as it turns out, she uses Truvista Surgery Center. I now understand why. They are the best. I had one eye completed there yesterday. They are simply WONDERFUL! From start to finish, they were kind, professional, efficient, beyond belief. They put me at ease from the moment I walked in. They also called me today to see how I was doing, even though I had a follow up with my eye doctor this morning. What a great group of professionals! I highly recommend this surgery center.

Overall great experience
A typical day at work for me was fast pace moving from patient to patient in pre op and post op. If you aren't with a patient you have other duties so you stay busy. The culture was friendly and supportive overall. Hardest part is learning exactly what each surgeon prefers, there are many and they all want something a little different. Most enjoyable part for me was chatting with the patients in our short time together.
I took my mom here for cataract surgery and we had such a positive experience! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Excellent customer service and care. My mom was treated very well every step of the way.
They are very clear ahead of time with procedures and protocols. They called my mom a few days before the surgery to give us the exact time to be there, and they called a week before that to go over other information and billing.
They are very organized and efficient. It's not a long wait at all. The office is pristine and large, with a lot of seating options and social distancing is encouraged.
As the driver, they needed to physically see me in the office for check in to confirm I was there. Masks are required inside. Once they confirmed I was there, I was asked to go to the waiting area, my car, or remain in a 10 minute radius of the building. (Due to Covid protocols, they want to reduce the amount of people in the office so I was unable to wait with my mom until she was called in for surgery.) I appreciate how diligent they are with Covid protocols. They took my mom's temperature as well.
They took down my cell phone number and the make/color of my car to verify when I picked her up. There was an easy pick up place and someone escorted my mom to my car. I love curbside pickup!
There is a waiting area on the second floor with a TV and plenty of chairs. Restrooms on the second floor too. There have a spacious parking lot too, if you prefer to wait in your car. They called me 10 minutes before my mom was ready for pick up. Everything was easy and smooth. I was very impressed.

December 2021 I had cataract surgery with Laser assist completed on both eyes by Dr. William Goldstein. He took the time to ease my concerns (anxiety) and the nursing staff were amazing. Cataract surgery advice please? I am scheduled for surgery at the Truvista Surgery Center on Maple Road in Troy on the 20th December. Has anyone had surgery UPDATE DAY AFTER MY POST! I wish to express my gratitude to each of you who took your time to reply here. To be honest I was quite unsure of all of this before I posted and was even considering looking elsewhere for this surgery. Your replies have changed my opinion totally and I now feel I couldn't be in better hands! Thank you all so much for giving me this peace of mind.

Eye fluid was getting on my glasses as my eye lids would not hold the fluid on the eye. Both eyes & both top & bottom lids. Driving with sun glasses was not possible as fluid covered the inside lens. Also with regular glasses but I could stop & clean them. Surgery was done mid-December only mild pain for one week. Stiches removed in one week. No pain but some soreness when washing around eyes. After three weeks no soreness and no scares. Cannot see where cuts were made as a lot of skin (eyelid) was removed. Real pleased. No pain, soreness or scar. Great Job.
