Took our daughter there for a few years until we moved. It was her first real dental experience and they did such a good job getting her to feel comfortable, never pushing her to do anything. They even have a comfort dog who comes in once a week to help kids who might need extra support. All the staff was super great. Highly recommend!

Had a bad experience with the mail dentist (and owner) but both female dentists were wonderful. The staff has been great and they have a kid friendly set up (bathroom with wipes, a stool, changing table, toys in the lobby). The male dentist doesn’t seem to like kids and sort of forced my 3 year old daughter’s mouth open before giving her a single moment to be convinced-first appointment.

I brought all three of my young kids for a visit at the same time, and was so worried it would be challenging. The set up is perfect-I was able to easily check in with my two oldest, they were just a few steps apart. My little one is not yet two so just had a quick easy check in after my bigs were done. My kids actually *like* going to the dentist- because it’s not scary, but probably mostly because of the prizes & giant gumball machine with bouncy balls 😂. Fun colors, natural light and open spaces make it a calming environment for kids. They were accommodating with my neurodiverse kiddo who needed a procedure recently, giving us a “second chance” when the first appt didn’t go so well and working around his stuffie and iPad that he needed to get through it. We loved it here! The office itself is calm, open, airy and bright. The staff are wonderful with kids (mine are young and fickle so this counts a lot in my book) and they saw us right away. No waiting at all! The doctor took his time with us and managed to get all of my questions answered while my kiddos were distracted with a prize bouncy ball. We all left happy.

Update: My 3-year-old just had his second appointment at Tailwind. His first appointment, six months ago, was quick and really just to help familiarize him with the place and procedures. It really helped to alleviate his anxiety because the second round is the actual procedure. I was amazed at how excited my son was—he actually looked forward to playing with the toys in the lobby and getting a prize at the end. And he champed through it all! Afterwards he walked (not asked to be carried) out of the clinic, proudly, with his prize and new toothbrush. I was a proud mother too! The staff, dental hygienist, and dentist were also very friendly. I’m so grateful they didn’t rush my son. That first visit made such a huge difference. I’m so grateful I chose Tailwind for my son. I highly recommend Tailwind to parents questioning where to take their little ones, especially if they know their child(ren) has anxiety and/or a fear of strangers. This place definitely removes the worry from the parents and provides a safe and fun environment for the child(ren).

Tailwind Pediatric Dentistry is incredible. My boys have a bit of anxiety around the dentist and the team at Tailwind makes it easy. We were just in for 2 fillings and were literally in and out in 11 minutes. The machine they use is incredibly fast and completely painless! My son was completely ready for his day after with no pain, no numbness or anything else. He kept saying, I can't believe they fixed my tooth with a laser!! I highly recommend them to anyone!

Gotta say this is a great pediatric dentist office. The only downside is the size of the parking lot and trying to turn in there some times but we go so rarely I can’t even be mad about that. We love Tailwind Dentistry! We were referred there after multiple visits to Metro Dental where they couldn’t get X-rays of my young son’s teeth (using the trays/foam stuff, that he would gag on). Tailwind offers a totally different X-ray procedure and put my son at ease. He had gotten to the point where he was terrified of the dentist- after 2 visits at Tailwind, he now loves going. The staff is amazing with kids, all knowledgeable and a great experience each time. The office is inviting and my son likes that they offer a variety of small toys to pick from at the end of the visit. We highly recommend Tailwind Dentistry!

Everyone was taking all the Covid precautions possible which I very much appreciate. Monica, our hygienist, definitely has this thing with kids nailed down. She managed to get my 2.5 yr old to allow all of her teeth to be cleaned and flossed by just talking to her like another person and giving her lots of options. No using baby talk or puppets or anything over the top like that. The dentist was great at getting what needed done quickly, was really nice to both of us, and addressed my concerns and questions thoughtfully and honestly. Got a bouncy ball and was done in 25 min. Even with Covid I felt like we had a thorough and still fun time. She loved it. Can't ask for more than that!

My 6yo daughter needed 4 cavities filled. She has had 2 significant injuries to the mouth and is very sensitive to anything happening with her mouth. She is also feisty & strong-willed. We tried to take care of the fillings at our family dentist and we couldn't get it done. After 2 more visits (that didn't go well) for regular cleanings our original dentist asked us not to bring her back. We were referred to Tailwind. I wish I would have gone sooner! We went in for a consultation. Every person we encountered was lovely- reception and dental staff. They were patient, calm, and understanding. We made a plan and went back for the fillings. With a little gas and some noise canceling headphones all the teeth were taken care of in about 25 minutes. It was incredible. There were no struggles. I was completely impressed and will be taking my son there in the future as well. The staff is kind and genuinely cares about kids.

The staff are fabulous with the children! My 3.5 year old said “that was fun” upon leaving. They ease the children into each visit and help them to get comfortable and acclimate to the equipment and space! Would highly recommend Tailwind if looking for a pediatric dentist. Space is cozy, fun, clean, and welcoming!

We always have a great experience at Tailwind. The staff is very friendly and so good with kids. They do a good job of explaining the process to the little ones and adjusting to the child's comfort level during the cleaning and exam - for kids that might be anxious. We are able schedule both our kids for the same time and since our kids are young with limited dental issues, the appointments are pretty quick. Both kids look forward to their dental visits!

My almost 3 year old had her first dental visit yesterday. Everyone was so great with her! They were prepared and everyone from the receptionist to the dentist knew my daughter's name. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by name. That may seem like it's not a big deal, but it's just one of the little things they do to make sure kids are comfortable there. They let her sit in my lap the whole time. They explained everything they were doing before they did it so she knew what to expect next. They directed all their questions to both of us instead of just asking me, which I really appreciated. We had a great experience! As we were leaving, my daughter said, "That was fun!".
