Stegbar Chatswood

I went into Chatswood Showroom trying to find some parts for one of my Stegbar Products and met Tim Bradfield who resolved my issues , especially after I had been around the world on the Stegbar Help line, I will be revisiting Chatswood for more assistance from Tim, cannot more than highly recommend him .

I would like to say how impressed I am with the installation of my new sliding stacking doors. Jake & his team arrived at 7am and did a fantastic job. They were very polite & worked so efficiently & I am very pleased with the final result. They took away the old doors and cleaned up everywhere. I have no hesitation in recommending the team at Stegbar, from the salesman Greg who inspected my job in the beginning to the installation day which was completed in less than 5 weeks. Happy customer !

Just had my best customer service experience for years from Tim at Stegbar Chatswood. Very unexpected. Apart from being very knowledgeable about the Stegbar products Tim was very friendly and did not make me feel technically inept as many hardware/ building related shop assistants do.

As a builder problems arise on a daily basis throughout construction and finding good help currently is a major problem. Dealing with Dalton Bass from Stegbar Chatswood is an absolute breeze. He is always on hand to help us out with any questions or queries and does whatever he can to make the whole process smooth and efficient. He goes above and beyond for us which is amazing for the current industry climate we are in.

I have been dealing with Stegbar Chatswood for many years now. As a builder, having good customer service is essential. I cannot commend our Rep Dalton Bass enough for the job he does. He goes above what is expected of him and makes dealing with stegbar a breeze.

I have not bought anything from Stegbar yet however we went to the Chatswood show room and two representives were excellent and very knowledgable. They provided answers to all our questions with a smile. Thank you

Stegbar sorted out my dogdoor

Tim was very helpful and a great help, we have 40 year old Stegbar Western Red Cedar colonial window and needed replacement clips for the colonial bars. Tim found some clips out the back and gave then to us. Thanks Tim we now hope to get many more years out of our Stegbar windows.

As you'll be able to see below, my original review was not glowing. That said, their on-site service was fantastic. So they go up from three stars to four. Seeing what they could do / did do with their own product, and adding the pieces that were missing was impressive. There wasn't any umm-ing and ahhhh-ing, they saw, they adjusted/moved/fixed/added and it was done. Even a swinging door catch that wasn't able to close unless the door handle was turned slightly was fixed simply. So everything below has been resolved - and we all can use the doors now! Oh, we did recently discover that a seal had a big gap in it. Seems that it was incorrectly fitted when one of the windows were assembled at the factory, but apparently someone is coming back to replace it. It's nice to know the stand by their product. -- Original Review (early 2019) -- Average product. Our stacker door came with the lock on an angle, and we need to force the door closed hard and time the locking just right to lock the door. Kids can't even unlock the door. The safety stickers are not straight either. Which looks very poor when looking at them and the sliding fly screen horizontal bar is directly behind them. The sliding fly screen door within the same unit (from Stegbar too) also grinds against the door & cannot be closed fully - and therefore can't be locked closed. Oh, and the back piece of each door (mullion) seems oversized. So much so we can't put window coverings within the reveal. Edit (Sept 2020): A local glazier was here for an unrelated reason, and mentioned that the angle of the lock on the door can be adjusted. It now is far easier to close. Edit (Sept 2020): Apparently, when you edit a review - the date changes. The original review was posted early in 2019. As you might see below, Stegbar / Jeldwen has started the conversation to resolve all the issues/grievances (which totaled eight things all up). Getting this resolved apparently involves waiting fo "a text from Stegbar with a date. One week out from this date, you will get another text with an approx. time that the serviceman will be there." ... I suppose I contact this as yet unknown person if I can't be here? Edit (Oct 2020): Service people attended, and we were very pleased with their work. Oh, and it turns out that the massive mullion is there to give the stacker door's large panes of glass stability. Knowing that it actually has a function is actually somewhat of a relief.

Great service from salesperson Dalton Bass in the Chatswood NSW showroom. Returned our calls & replied to emails promptly. He understood our needs and pointed us in the right direction of what to purchase. The check measure went smoothly with Greg & lead time on manufacturing & installing was realistic & on time. The installers did a great job on the installation day and cleaned up after themselves. Overall VERY HAPPY with quality of product & service received. Thanks

Went in with broken parts removed from a Stegbar window... Installed in 1972. Tim was a great source of information and quickly found some suitable replacement bits. Fit perfectly, and much cheaper than getting a new window. Cheers!

We have ordered off stegbar twice in the past 2 years and have never had any issues. I'm shocked about reading some of these reviews. Tim was the rep we delt with at Chatswood both times and I thought his experience and customer service was second to none. I would recommend stegbar to any of my friends for future renovations.

We shopped around at a number of window suppliers and decided to use Stegbar as the best balance of price, quality and service. Price was comparable to other suppliers but quality was far better. Service was also great with Gail providing advice on which glass works best and the relative advantages of different glazing.
