Star RV pick up in Brisbane
The team at Star RV in Brisbane made our motorhome pick up experience smooth and pleasant. They were friendly and professional, the vehicle was clean and well presented, and we could do our ‘settling in’ under cover and unrushed.

My car broke down while I was on the Gold Coast, and within half an hour, they came out and fixed it. This was extremely important to me because I was very stressed and worried about the situation. But with just one phone call, they came quickly, fixed the problem, and completely relieved my worries. I really appreciate their fast and professional service.
We will be back
We had a really good experience renting from starRV for our New Zealand trip. The vehicle was a great size for us and was handed over in good condition. It also came very well equipped with pretty much everything we needed for the trip, including cooking utensils, bedding, plates and cutlery. There were even thoughtful extras like a toaster and wine glasses, which made living in the campervan very comfortable. One area that could be improved would be the handover process. We felt that it could have been a little more thorough, as we were mostly left to carry out the vehicle checks ourselves. Thankfully, we had come prepared with a detailed checklist and were able to clarify anything we were unsure about with the starRV staff. To their credit, the service staff were very helpful and patient in answering all our questions. We also would have appreciated having the option to choose the vehicle generation or model, rather than having one randomly assigned, especially since there can be differences between the newer and older vehicles. Overall, though, we had a positive experience with starRV. The campervan was comfortable, well equipped and suited our trip very well. I would definitely consider renting from starRV again for another New Zealand road trip.
This campervan experience was beyond…
This campervan experience was beyond expectations, with a fully contained van featuring updated technology including lane assist, adaptive speed control and plenty of space. I also quickly stopped worrying about energy consumption and charging capability as the battery lasted quite a while and I had no issues with charging devices. The bed was comfortable although I’m 6’5” so I got a bit tired of not fitting after a while. The petrol last a good while. Over 4000kms, I refuelled maybes 4-5 times. My only gripe was that the water and grey water tank digital meters were far from accurate, only providing a reading at the nearest 25% which would be skewed massively if I was on a slope.
Excellent service
Picking up our campervan at Perth Airport was seamless from start to finish, largely thanks to Coby. The pickup location made getting on the road completely hassle-free. Coby was fantastic—friendly, professional, and thorough. He walked us through every feature of the campervan, answered all our questions with patience, and made sure we felt 100% confident operating everything before we drove off. His local tips and warm service set a great tone for the whole trip. Exceptional service from Coby made all the difference—we would definitely book through this location again!

We had an amazing experience with Star RV! We travelled from Adelaide to Perth and covered nearly 4,000 km in the van. Everything went really smoothly, the van was great, and it allowed us to have an incredible road trip and visit some absolutely amazing places along the way. The Star RV team was fantastic from start to finish — super friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. A massive thank you to Kobe and his colleague who we met in Perth, you guys were legends! Thanks again to the whole Star RV team for helping make this trip such a great experience.

It was amazing trip travelling around…
It was amazing trip travelling around in WA for 5 weeks. I was amazed that the Van (Hired under RVStar) had run very well which I have driven over 33.000km. I admitted I have wish to choose bigger size of the Van as the Van I hired was quite too small inside the Van for me but main thing the Van run very well to many places I had visited in WA. WA are truly amazing and beautiful country even the local people are quite friendly people.
Ease of rental
Ease of rental, great inclusions and more competitively priced than the likes of Britz/Maui etc
Campervan is a great way to see NZ
Campervan is a great way to see NZ. Our Star RV served the purpose very well. we had the 6 Berth Ivesco van and this drove very well. the van was comfortable. The team was wonderful to deal with, they seemed very focused on helping us to have the best experience possible, were happy to supply more linen 1/2 way through the trip. It was an easy pick up & drop off.

Our Star RV Polaris 6 was great for 3 adults to enjoy a trip from Adelaide to Perth. Both depots are close enough to each airport to make it very convinient to collect and drop off the van. It was an older van but mechanically we felt very safe and had no problems on the trip. There were no hitches when booking the van and when we needed to change drop off dates the staff accomidated us professionally and witout any hassles. They were great to del with all round. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

Such a great van you won’t want to give it back
We were able to collect the van with ease and drop it off at a different location. It was reliable and easy to drive. It had everything in we required for an amazing holiday. It really added to our wonderful experience and allowed us to see so much of the east coast.
great RV
our Polaris 2 was clean, well-maintained, and everything was ready to go. I also love the easy and quick pickup and dropoff process at the Melbourne branch.

5 Star RV great experience
Most enjoyable experience with Star RV. Pickup and drop off was very simple, the equipment was in good order and all staff that I encountered were very friendly and most helpful
Kath Caruso
Hired a Polaris 2. Everyone smooth from start to finish. No issues with anything. Van fit out modern and comfortable. Only thing to mention is this is a camper stuck on a suburban delivery van. Not really designed for any Aus roads outside of a city. No upgrades to handling, suspension etc. it handles like a whale. stick to the speed signs around corners or you easily drift off line. Apart from that all good 👍

Found the Polaris 4 a bit cramped and for us,an older couple, would have preferred a fixed bed lower to deck level. The awning was a nightmare for us and needs improvements. But overall very happy with the van

Star Rv was an excellent option for our holiday. We live in the state of Queensland decided to fly to Brisbane rent The Polaris 2 and meander around the Sunshine Coast scenic Rim instead of hotels and hiring a car. excellent choice we would highly recommend and definitely a holiday option for us again in the future👍👍👍

We had a wonderful journey with our Star RV campervan! The motorhome was well-equipped and provided incredible convenience for our road trip across New Zealand. The check-in and hand-over process went smoothly. Just a couple of minor points for improvement:1. We encountered a slight issue with draining the grey water/waste water hose at times. 2. The side awning was not functional during our trip. Overall, it was still a fantastic rental experience! Thanks for making our New Zealand trip so memorable.
Exceptional service
Price was great for what was supplied. No hidden costs when we returned either and staff were great for delivery and pick up. Would recommend to many people

The whole Star RV experience was awesome
Quick easy pickup and drop off but unfortunately no airport service and used DidiVery easy to go through pickup routine and simple clear instructions RV was clean and easy to move around and had a cold fridge and a heap of storage I found it easy to drive and pretty economical on fuel and drove to Hervey Bay and back on less than a tank of fuel The double bed was very comfortable and I slept well The electronic controls to turn on/off shower , water pump etc was very easy The two staff at pick up were very friendly , multilingual and helpful and return was even easier !!!!
So easy to book
So easy to book! Staff friendly and willing to help! Fast and easy check in system! Van clean and everything we needed
The Polaris 2. Winner.
The core of our experience was the vehicle itself, A Fiat based Polaris-2 fitted into normal parking bays, handled like a sports car and was in off grid setup. This gave us proper independance while exploring the Daintree out of the Cairns depot. 1st class experience.

BNE to SYD and back
We had an amazing trip, and every single experience made it memorable. The motorhome was beautiful, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed, making our journey enjoyable from start to finish. I do have a couple of suggestions that could make the experience even better. Firstly, the grey water drain hose was too short. We stayed at six different campgrounds, and it only reached the drain at one of them, so a longer hose would be very helpful. Secondly, the pick-up process took quite a while. Having more staff available during vehicle collection would help reduce waiting times and make the experience much smoother. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily recommend Starrv to others.

(Translated by Google) We rented a Polaris 6 motorhome from STAR RV in Sydney for a trip with five people and we were delighted with our experience. Everything went perfectly from start to finish: quick and efficient check-in, and just as easy check-out. The motorhome was high quality, very comfortable, clean, and extremely well-equipped. Everything was provided: dishes, linens, towels, everyday essentials, etc. The vehicle was also very easy to drive and a pleasure to use throughout our stay. We used Star RV as part of our Australia travels, we found the Polaris 2 Generation 5 to have everything we need (including a built in separate AC unit) the overall condition was excellent. During our travels the Vehicle was reliable with no issues. Check in / out all seemed pretty easy also.

A good well equipped camper. Everything explained as to the operation of onboard equipment. The location relative to the airport made the transition from plane to holiday much easier. Would defiantly use Star RV if I return again.

Lovely colleagues at the desk and in our case the RV was in decent enough shape. All fabrics inside very new. Easy to book, clear instructions. One recommendation to StarRV / Jucy is to be more specific about which driving licences from which countries they do accept and which they don't. That will be more useful than just stating "driving licence in English". Mind you, unlike renting something as common as a car, renting an RV requires more attention to detail when doing the initial technical inspection upon accepting the vehicle at pickup. Make sure to check the awning, tires, gas bottles function, stove function, AC / heating function, table structures inside (is it sturdy enough, anything wobbly or pieces missing), water pump. Also for your trip planning, keep in mind that these RVs are not designed to go fast, realistically 90kmh is my recommended maximum. This means that all Google Maps estimates of how long it will take you to go somewhere will not be accurate.

Helpful handover and a practically new van. Well appointed and absolutely mechanically sound. Couldn't have asked for more! Has made our trip round Australia even more amazing. Many thanks
Christine Jones
Process was smooth- quality of RV -don’t expect new/nearly new as ours was 10 years old and showed.
Jennifer Bryan
We rented a Star RV for three weeks in Australia and had a great experience. The size was perfect—compact enough to navigate cities easily but still comfortable for longer stretches on the road. It felt very new, with lots of helpful sensors that made driving and parking much less stressful. Inside, it was clean, modern, and surprisingly cozy, with everything we needed for our trip. A really easy and enjoyable way to explore!
Last minute RV cancellation
We made a RV booking with Star RV through Ratpack travel and sadly 2 weeks before arring in Australia had to cancel due to middle east travel restrictions . Both Ratpack and Star RV were fantastic with us when we cancelled. Our deposit understandingly was not refundable but Ratpack travel and Star RV have offered to hold our deposit for 2 years allowing us to use it on a future trip next year . Brilliant service from day 1 and wonderful customer service .

Very friendly and even though we arrived earlier than planned, they managed to get us serviced and on the road even quicker; also very helpful with all the questions we had
Marcin Borowski
We recommend it. Professional service — quick and hassle-free pickup and return. The camper was quite old with 270,000 km on the clock, and there were visible signs of time, but everything worked perfectly. We didn’t have the slightest problem with the vehicle. Now we’re heading to New Zealand and using the same rental company again.

Totally loving our camper van trip from Sydney to Brisbane over 9 days and 8 nights. Travelling inland mainly and stopping at campsites and off road. Everything is working great, even when not hooked up to mains on a site. We have rented a Fiat Ducatto 2 berth and especially chose StarRV as we wanted the camper to include an awning, air con and auto gearbox as standard. Their website seriously needs to be updated with pictures of the vans and what is included, at present it really short sells the product ! We are thrilled with our choice of company and the product. Collection of the vehicle was very straight forward having ‘ checked in online ‘, just a couple of formalities at the desk on arrival, then shown the van and how it all worked by Jed, who is super helpful, explaining and demonstrating how things work and where things are etc etc. Big thank you to you Jed ! We’ve already booked our flight (well part of it anyway) back to Australia for January 2027, and hope to pick a van up in Cairns to head south for 3 or 4 weeks —- that’s how much we are enjoying vanlife !
Geoff Bannoff
We rented a Polaris 2 for a 2 week trip from Sydney to Brisbane. This was probably the best campervan conversion I’ve seen in terms of design, functionality and quality. Nice job. A few minor problems—because of Fiat, who made the vehicle. The locking fuel cap wouldn’t open. We messed with it for an hour, and eventually took it to a locksmith who sprayed some brake cleaner into the lock (who knew?). It worked perfectly after that. The Fiat kept telling us we were speeding because it misreads the highway signs. And it kept telling us we were leaving the lane, but we weren’t. Key takeaway—never buy a Fiat. StarRV was easy to deal with both during the pickup and return. No problems at all with them.

Great, new motorhome, completely uncomplicated pick-up and return. There were only minor issues that didn't really affect our trip: the grey water tank constantly showed "full," the cruise control didn't work, and the second vehicle battery didn't seem to charge when connected to shore power. However, the solar panel on the roof worked all the more effectively – we were impressed! We had a great trip and would book with Star RV again. For next time, we would only wish for some leveling ramps for uneven pitches, but these are apparently not part of the standard equipment in Australia and New Zealand.

We hired from Star RV Sydney for our trip to explore the coastline between Sydney and Melbourne with a Polaris campervan. From start to finish we had great communication and really enjoyed the campervan. A highlight was the front seats turning around and the bed always being made up with a simple button to bring the bed up or down. The back seating area was great when the weather wasn't fantastic to sit out with perfect wildlife viewing. Overall we really enjoyed our campervan trip and would hire from Star RV again for another one.

Me and my wife travelled 3000km from Sydney to Cairns for a trip of a lifetime. Our campervan made things much easier, from automatic cruise control, to the seating arrangements, available living space on board, and the overall cleanliness. I will go as far as saying that having the campervan with yourselves, has made us question whether we should buy a similar van at home in the UK. We absolutely loved every minute of our journey, and what would usually feel like long drives, was made to feel like no time at all!
Gail McShane
The service at pick up and drop off from the staff was fabulous and our Polaris van gave us an unforgettable journey, we have no hesitation in using them again, thanks guys...

We used Star RV for the Gympie Music Muster for myself and band, and the whole experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and simple, the staff were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure we were set for the weekend. The RV itself was spotless, modern, and super comfortable! Everything worked perfectly, and it honestly felt like a home away from home. What really stood out was the attention to detail and the genuine care from the team. Every interaction was easy, welcoming, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The RV made such a difference to our festival experience, from having a comfortable place to relax, to being able to capture amazing content and memories. We even had other festival-goers asking about it, and we were proud to recommend Star RV. I can’t speak highly enough of this company. Reliable, friendly, and top-quality in every way. We’ll definitely be booking with Star RV again for future trips. If you’re looking for an RV experience that’s stress-free and memorable, look no further Star RV is the one!

We had a great time with the Polaris 6. We’d never used a motorhome but it was made easy by Star RV. We’d book again.

I was dubious because of the other reviews on Google however, we had an absolutely excellent experience with Star RV Sydney. At the collection they were really busy but the staff were all friendly and helpful. We were travelling with our two young children and they sorted the car seats and kids chairs etc. The Fiat Polaris 6 we got was in excellent condition, clean throughout and it all worked well. We found we were missing towels and tea towels but we emailed the main Star RV helpdesk and they said to go and buy them and then at collection reimbursed us. All in all we had an amazing family trip.

Had a fantastic Road trip in the Star camper van that we hired. It had everything we needed for our trip and was extremely comfortable. The customer service we received at pick up and drop off was brilliant 🤩. We would definitely recommend Star RV Motorhome Hire for anyone planning a road trip.

We booked a camper with Starrv for 3 weeks. The camper we got was fairly new, well equipped and clean. Wonderful experience
Freddie the worker was very helpful in showing us how to use all the amenities of the camper. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a wonderful experience.
Absolutely great motorhome and service!
We’ve had the best experience renting a motorhome with Star RV! Super spacious, even traveling with twin baby’s. They’ve got great service where you can get fresh linen at their offices; we left in Sydney and got fresh ones at both Cairns and Brisbane. Mattresses were very comfortable and the camper had all necessities for a comfortable camper trip. Would definitely rent with them again!

Great motorhome rental! We’ve rented a motorhome from Star RV while going on a 8 week trip with our twin baby’s. The camper was super spacious and easily fitted two car seats. Beds were very comfortable and the camper had all necessities you can imagine. As we were traveling through the outback, it was great that lots of groceries could be placed in the fridge and it had even a small freezer (super convenient with kids!). Make sure to stop at their other offices if you’re passing by to get fresh linen, great service! We would definitely rent with them again!

We just want to commend all the staff who attended to us, specially to our check in guy on 4th September noon - he single handedly did the registration and handover to us the 4 big RVs. Followed by some help of 2 other staff on the later part who are also very helpful. It makes our holiday even happier when attended by happy staff like them. The RVs are in good conditions. Highly Recommended.
