The camper was quite old with 270,000 km on the clock, and there were visible signs of time, but everything worked perfectly. We didn’t have the slightest problem with the vehicle. Now we’re heading to New Zealand and using the same rental company again.

Totally loving our camper van trip from Sydney to Brisbane over 9 days and 8 nights. Travelling inland mainly and stopping at campsites and off road. Everything is working great, even when not hooked up to mains on a site. We have rented a Fiat Ducatto 2 berth and especially chose StarRV as we wanted the camper to include an awning, air con and auto gearbox as standard. Their website seriously needs to be updated with pictures of the vans and what is included, at present it really short sells the product ! We are thrilled with our choice of company and the product. Collection of the vehicle was very straight forward having ‘ checked in online ‘, just a couple of formalities at the desk on arrival, then shown the van and how it all worked by Jed, who is super helpful, explaining and demonstrating how things work and where things are etc etc. Big thank you to you Jed ! We’ve already booked our flight (well part of it anyway) back to Australia for January 2027, and hope to pick a van up in Cairns to head south for 3 or 4 weeks —- that’s how much we are enjoying vanlife !

We rented a Polaris 2 for a 2 week trip from Sydney to Brisbane. This was probably the best campervan conversion I’ve seen in terms of design, functionality and quality. Nice job. A few minor problems—because of Fiat, who made the vehicle. The locking fuel cap wouldn’t open. We messed with it for an hour, and eventually took it to a locksmith who sprayed some brake cleaner into the lock (who knew?). It worked perfectly after that. The Fiat kept telling us we were speeding because it misreads the highway signs. And it kept telling us we were leaving the lane, but we weren’t. Key takeaway—never buy a Fiat. StarRV was easy to deal with both during the pickup and return. No problems at all with them.

We picked up our campervan in Sydney and returned it to Adelaide after three weeks. Everything went smoothly, the van was like new, very well equipped, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great, new motorhome, completely uncomplicated pick-up and return. There were only minor issues that didn't really affect our trip: the grey water tank constantly showed "full," the cruise control didn't work, and the second vehicle battery didn't seem to charge when connected to shore power. However, the solar panel on the roof worked all the more effectively – we were impressed! We had a great trip and would book with Star RV again. For next time, we would only wish for some leveling ramps for uneven pitches, but these are apparently not part of the standard equipment in Australia and New Zealand.

We hired from Star RV Sydney for our trip to explore the coastline between Sydney and Melbourne with a Polaris campervan. From start to finish we had great communication and really enjoyed the campervan. A highlight was the front seats turning around and the bed always being made up with a simple button to bring the bed up or down. The back seating area was great when the weather wasn't fantastic to sit out with perfect wildlife viewing. Overall we really enjoyed our campervan trip and would hire from Star RV again for another one.

Me and my wife travelled 3000km from Sydney to Cairns for a trip of a lifetime. Our campervan made things much easier, from automatic cruise control, to the seating arrangements, available living space on board, and the overall cleanliness. I was dubious because of the other reviews on Google however, we had an absolutely excellent experience with Star RV Sydney. At the collection they were really busy but the staff were all friendly and helpful. We were travelling with our two young children and they sorted the car seats and kids chairs etc. The Fiat Polaris 6 we got was in excellent condition, clean throughout and it all worked well. We found we were missing towels and tea towels but we emailed the main Star RV helpdesk and they said to go and buy them and then at collection reimbursed us. All in all we had an amazing family trip.

We’ve had the best experience renting a motorhome with Star RV! Super spacious, even traveling with twin baby’s. They’ve got great service where you can get fresh linen at their offices; we left in Sydney and got fresh ones at both Cairns and Brisbane. Mattresses were very comfortable and the camper had all necessities for a comfortable camper trip. Would definitely rent with them again!

Great motorhome rental! We’ve rented a motorhome from Star RV while going on a 8 week trip with our twin baby’s. The camper was super spacious and easily fitted two car seats. Beds were very comfortable and the camper had all necessities you can imagine. As we were traveling through the outback, it was great that lots of groceries could be placed in the fridge and it had even a small freezer (super convenient with kids!). Make sure to stop at their other offices if you’re passing by to get fresh linen, great service! We would definitely rent with them again!
