We had a wonderful journey with our Star RV campervan! The motorhome was well-equipped and provided incredible convenience for our road trip across New Zealand. The check-in and hand-over process went smoothly. Just a couple of minor points for improvement:1. We encountered a slight issue with draining the grey water/waste water hose at times. 2. The side awning was not functional during our trip. Overall, it was still a fantastic rental experience! Thanks for making our New Zealand trip so memorable.

From receiving the vehicle, Roger gave us a very details information about the vehicle. Though the motorhome has issue with the awning on the way to Christchurch, the staff in Christchurch branch, accommodated our request for a smaller vehicle and even allowed us to use it until 11pm where exceeding return time of 4pm. Thank you to Roger and the lady in Christchurch for all the good services rendered to us. Certainly will comeback again to Star RV.

Price was great for what was supplied. No hidden costs when we returned either and staff were great for delivery and pick up. Would recommend to many people
The whole Star RV experience was awesome
Quick easy pickup and drop off but unfortunately no airport service and used DidiVery easy to go through pickup routine and simple clear instructions RV was clean and easy to move around and had a cold fridge and a heap of storage I found it easy to drive and pretty economical on fuel and drove to Hervey Bay and back on less than a tank of fuel The double bed was very comfortable and I slept well The electronic controls to turn on/off shower , water pump etc was very easy The two staff at pick up were very friendly , multilingual and helpful and return was even easier !!!!

The Polaris 2. Winner.
The core of our experience was the vehicle itself, A Fiat based Polaris-2 fitted into normal parking bays, handled like a sports car and was in off grid setup. This gave us proper independance while exploring the Daintree out of the Cairns depot. 1st class experience.

My partner and I were worried about having booked the larger vehicle and Roger looked after us and found a more suitable vehicle even though the store had closed. He was very professional and still took the time to explain everything about the vehicle before we set off.

Amazing luxurious drive from Christchurch to Queenstown. I enjoyed the snow capped mountains and stopping in Geraldine. I wish I had more time for Mount Cook! The polari 6 was fully equipped and comfortable for travel. Lots of places to stay off grid and easy to explore with.

BNE to SYD and back
We had an amazing trip, and every single experience made it memorable. The motorhome was beautiful, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed, making our journey enjoyable from start to finish. I do have a couple of suggestions that could make the experience even better. Firstly, the grey water drain hose was too short. We stayed at six different campgrounds, and it only reached the drain at one of them, so a longer hose would be very helpful. Secondly, the pick-up process took quite a while. Having more staff available during vehicle collection would help reduce waiting times and make the experience much smoother. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily recommend Starrv to others.

The motorhome performed very well with just a couple of minor issues. Neither of which caused any problems to our wonderful holiday. It was easy to drive and contained all we needed to be self-sufficient. The booking service was exceptional, especially since we needed to add an extra day to our booking. They went out of their way to make things happen.

We had a great experience. we picked up in Queenstown and dropped in Christchurch. Easy to drive vehicle. Had a few agrat yes but no major problems. We had a great family holiday even that the weather was not the summer we expected.

We hired a motorhome to explore the South Island with the whānau, and honestly, Star RV made the whole trip smooth as. The van was clean, spacious, and packed with everything we needed, comfy beds, full kitchen setup, heaps of storage, and even USB ports for the kids' tablets (lifesaver!). Booking was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the pickup/drop-off process was a breeze. It became more than just transport, it was our home on wheels and the base for all our best memories. If you’re keen on a road trip with comfort and zero stress, I 100% recommend Star RV. Chur team, you made our NZ adventure next level!

The service at the location in Queenstown was very good! We picked up our Star RV Polaris 2 in Christchurch, but had a problem with it (check engine light went on) on the way from Te Anau to Queenstown. We arrived at the rental station in Queenstown only a few minutes before closing, but still the employees made it possible to take care of the Problem. Our Polaris 2 should not be driven further according to the mechanic, therefore we had to change vehicles. There was no equal vehicle available, so we got a Polaris 4 instead. The very nice employee took care of everything, showed us all functions of the other vehicle and closed the station over an hour later, than normal! The additional costs for the already booked ferry from Picton to Wellington, due to the larger dimensions of the motorhome were also refunded at the dropoff in Auckland! The whole dropoff process in Auckland was also very easy and quick! We were very satisfied with the customer service at both rental stations. Picking Star RV as Motorhome rental company was a really good decision!
