The team at Star RV in Brisbane made our motorhome pick up experience smooth and pleasant. They were friendly and professional, the vehicle was clean and well presented, and we could do our ‘settling in’ under cover and unrushed.

We had a really good experience renting from starRV for our New Zealand trip. The vehicle was a great size for us and was handed over in good condition. It also came very well equipped with pretty much everything we needed for the trip, including cooking utensils, bedding, plates and cutlery. There were even thoughtful extras like a toaster and wine glasses, which made living in the campervan very comfortable. One area that could be improved would be the handover process. We felt that it could have been a little more thorough, as we were mostly left to carry out the vehicle checks ourselves. Thankfully, we had come prepared with a detailed checklist and were able to clarify anything we were unsure about with the starRV staff. To their credit, the service staff were very helpful and patient in answering all our questions. We also would have appreciated having the option to choose the vehicle generation or model, rather than having one randomly assigned, especially since there can be differences between the newer and older vehicles. Overall, though, we had a positive experience with starRV. The campervan was comfortable, well equipped and suited our trip very well. I would definitely consider renting from starRV again for another New Zealand road trip.

This campervan experience was beyond expectations, with a fully contained van featuring updated technology including lane assist, adaptive speed control and plenty of space. I also quickly stopped worrying about energy consumption and charging capability as the battery lasted quite a while and I had no issues with charging devices. The bed was comfortable although I’m 6’5” so I got a bit tired of not fitting after a while. The petrol last a good while. Over 4000kms, I refuelled maybes 4-5 times. My only gripe was that the water and grey water tank digital meters were far from accurate, only providing a reading at the nearest 25% which would be skewed massively if I was on a slope.

Picking up our campervan at Perth Airport was seamless from start to finish, largely thanks to Coby. The pickup location made getting on the road completely hassle-free. Coby was fantastic—friendly, professional, and thorough. He walked us through every feature of the campervan, answered all our questions with patience, and made sure we felt 100% confident operating everything before we drove off. His local tips and warm service set a great tone for the whole trip. Exceptional service from Coby made all the difference—we would definitely book through this location again!

We had an amazing experience with Star RV! We travelled from Adelaide to Perth and covered nearly 4,000 km in the van. Everything went really smoothly, the van was great, and it allowed us to have an incredible road trip and visit some absolutely amazing places along the way. The Star RV team was fantastic from start to finish — super friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. A massive thank you to Kobe and his colleague who we met in Perth, you guys were legends! Thanks again to the whole Star RV team for helping make this trip such a great experience.

It was amazing trip travelling around in WA for 5 weeks. I was amazed that the Van (Hired under RVStar) had run very well which I have driven over 33.000km. I admitted I have wish to choose bigger size of the Van as the Van I hired was quite too small inside the Van for me but main thing the Van run very well to many places I had visited in WA. WA are truly amazing and beautiful country even the local people are quite friendly people.

Campervan is a great way to see NZ. Our Star RV served the purpose very well. we had the 6 Berth Ivesco van and this drove very well. the van was comfortable. The team was wonderful to deal with, they seemed very focused on helping us to have the best experience possible, were happy to supply more linen 1/2 way through the trip. It was an easy pick up & drop off.

Renting a van from Star RV was simple and the staff were very knowledgable. We believe that travelling in an RV is the best way to see Australia. No plans just see where the road takes you.

The van is quite good. It is impossible to stay two nights without 240v power or driving for many, many hours. No mattress protector supplied, with large stains on mattress. No toilet chemicals supplied.

Our Star RV Polaris 6 was great for 3 adults to enjoy a trip from Adelaide to Perth. Both depots are close enough to each airport to make it very convinient to collect and drop off the van. It was an older van but mechanically we felt very safe and had no problems on the trip. There were no hitches when booking the van and when we needed to change drop off dates the staff accomidated us professionally and witout any hassles. They were great to del with all round. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

We live in the state of Queensland decided to fly to Brisbane rent The Polaris 2 and meander around the Sunshine Coast scenic Rim instead of hotels and hiring a car. excellent choice we would highly recommend and definitely a holiday option for us again in the future👍👍👍

Absolutely loved our 14 day roadtrip. Vehicle was in great order. We had a couple of hiccups (not their fault) during the trip which were both rectified quickly. Staff were professional and friendly on pick up and drop off. We will be using Star Rv again.

Helpful staff, easy pick up and drop off. Campervan was well maintained and fitted out, very comfortable. No problems with small issues of wear and tear of the vehicle after over 4 weeks on the road. Overall positive experience, definitely use them again.

We had a wonderful journey with our Star RV campervan! The motorhome was well-equipped and provided incredible convenience for our road trip across New Zealand. The check-in and hand-over process went smoothly. Just a couple of minor points for improvement:1. We encountered a slight issue with draining the grey water/waste water hose at times. 2. The side awning was not functional during our trip. Overall, it was still a fantastic rental experience! Thanks for making our New Zealand trip so memorable.

From receiving the vehicle, Roger gave us a very details information about the vehicle. Though the motorhome has issue with the awning on the way to Christchurch, the staff in Christchurch branch, accommodated our request for a smaller vehicle and even allowed us to use it until 11pm where exceeding return time of 4pm. Thank you to Roger and the lady in Christchurch for all the good services rendered to us. Certainly will comeback again to Star RV.

The whole Star RV experience was awesome
Quick easy pickup and drop off but unfortunately no airport service and used DidiVery easy to go through pickup routine and simple clear instructions RV was clean and easy to move around and had a cold fridge and a heap of storage I found it easy to drive and pretty economical on fuel and drove to Hervey Bay and back on less than a tank of fuel The double bed was very comfortable and I slept well The electronic controls to turn on/off shower , water pump etc was very easy The two staff at pick up were very friendly , multilingual and helpful and return was even easier !!!!

The Polaris 2. Winner.
The core of our experience was the vehicle itself, A Fiat based Polaris-2 fitted into normal parking bays, handled like a sports car and was in off grid setup. This gave us proper independance while exploring the Daintree out of the Cairns depot. 1st class experience.

Amazing luxurious drive from Christchurch to Queenstown. I enjoyed the snow capped mountains and stopping in Geraldine. I wish I had more time for Mount Cook! The polari 6 was fully equipped and comfortable for travel. Lots of places to stay off grid and easy to explore with.

BNE to SYD and back
We had an amazing trip, and every single experience made it memorable. The motorhome was beautiful, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed, making our journey enjoyable from start to finish. I do have a couple of suggestions that could make the experience even better. Firstly, the grey water drain hose was too short. We stayed at six different campgrounds, and it only reached the drain at one of them, so a longer hose would be very helpful. Secondly, the pick-up process took quite a while. Having more staff available during vehicle collection would help reduce waiting times and make the experience much smoother. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily recommend Starrv to others.

The motorhome performed very well with just a couple of minor issues. Neither of which caused any problems to our wonderful holiday. It was easy to drive and contained all we needed to be self-sufficient. The booking service was exceptional, especially since we needed to add an extra day to our booking. They went out of their way to make things happen.

The van was clean, spacious, and packed with everything we needed, comfy beds, full kitchen setup, heaps of storage, and even USB ports for the kids' tablets (lifesaver!). Booking was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the pickup/drop-off process was a breeze. It became more than just transport, it was our home on wheels and the base for all our best memories. If you’re keen on a road trip with comfort and zero stress, I 100% recommend Star RV. The service at the location in Queenstown was very good! We picked up our Star RV Polaris 2 in Christchurch, but had a problem with it (check engine light went on) on the way from Te Anau to Queenstown. We arrived at the rental station in Queenstown only a few minutes before closing, but still the employees made it possible to take care of the Problem. Our Polaris 2 should not be driven further according to the mechanic, therefore we had to change vehicles. There was no equal vehicle available, so we got a Polaris 4 instead. The very nice employee took care of everything, showed us all functions of the other vehicle and closed the station over an hour later, than normal! The additional costs for the already booked ferry from Picton to Wellington, due to the larger dimensions of the motorhome were also refunded at the dropoff in Auckland! The whole dropoff process in Auckland was also very easy and quick! We were very satisfied with the customer service at both rental stations. Picking Star RV as Motorhome rental company was a really good decision!
