Smooth pick-up. Must to-do for someone who wants to have a different experience compared to driving an SUV & living in hotels. The motorhome had all the facilities, in some cases better than a motel or a 3 star hotel, and offers great comfort. The drive in the city can be challenging especially parking in the downtown but you always learn overtime. Highly recommend to everyone who is looking to drive in North & South Island. Thanks Star RV team for making this a special trip!

We were very grateful, since we picked up the caraban. the staff was very friendly and pleasant. Even though there were few workers and they seemed very busy. They gave us a small explanation of the use of the camper, since it was our first time in a camper. But the one I want to thank the most was the girl in Queenstown who, even though she was completely alone, gave us great treatment and helped us a lot. The only thing I could have to complain about would be that the shuttle from the airport to the office took a long time. but the driver was extremely friendly and that helped.

The campervan we rented from StarRV was the STAR of our trip. We had a great experience driving it around the north part of the South Island of NZ. It was clean, comfortable and most importantly safe driving the windy roads, up and down and over the mountains. Star RV was also very flexible in allowing us to pick up earlier and then also drop off a little later without any added fees. Thank you for the flexibility. Staff were friendly for both the pick up and drop off. Highly recommend this company.
Spacious RV for a young family!
We’ve had the best time with our Polaris 6 RV! It was perfect for our family of 4 (two adults and two toddlers). The RV was super spacious. The bed in the back of the RV was easily converted from table to bed. The large fridge and separate freezer could store enough for a couple of days and the RV had enough storage space for all our belongings (our double stroller even fit in the back). The minor issues we encountered were rapidly fixed with great service! Super convenient that they allow you to change your linnen and towels if you pass one of their offices. It has been our second time taking a RV of StarRV on the road, and we will definitely continue to do so 🙌

At first i was quite sceptical because of all the reviews. But i was surprised how everything went really smooth. At airport pickup shuttle was there to pick us up in 10 minutes. The check in was also smooth we got our vehicle in 10 minutes of arrival. To avoid any problems on the road. We did the inspection of the van before getting on the road. Even on the road the vehicle didn’t let us down. Everything worked perfectly fine. There were no complaints with the van as. We had the best time of our life during the trip. During the drop off we arrived 8 minuted before closer and we were really anxious the whole way thinking they might be closed but we were lucky,staff helped us with the drop off and also went beyond the expectations and dropped us off to the airport even after their shuttle was closed for the day.

We've just finished a 3 week trip (2 weeks south Island, 1 week north) in the Star Polaris 6. We were a family of 4 but hired the 6 berth for a little extra room which was recommended by the booking team, and I'm really glad we did that as it meant we could leave our beds permanently set up, and have a table for meals that also stayed set up. The whole process of hiring, picking up, and returning was very smooth, and when we had a technical issue with the gas cooker, the phone support and follow up was excellent. I couldn't fault it, we had the most amazing holiday!

Perfect Van for 2 people Polaris 2 (We toured NZ South Island for 2 weeks) - easy to drive auto with all the mod cons - thank god for the diesel heater! made free camping that much better but only if you put the INSULATED privacy screens up! don't freeze the 1st night like we did - rookie mistake - fridge works well when set on flat out. Front swivel seats great idea which makes it easier when having guests -if it's winter get 2 quilts. you'll need it. couple minor maintenance issues with the van that were attended to quickly in Queenstown depot as I phoned ahead. all in all i would use again no worries

Staffs are friendly and always ready to help. Registration process was fast. The RV was big and comfortable. Everything was provided such as cutlery, etc2. Just be aware not to bring big bags if you want to travel in one because there is no designated place for luggage. The rattling noise should be looked into.

The sleep heater wasn't working well during our first day of pickup. A technician took the car to fix it, which caused a delay. The rest of the process was fast and in good condition.

We had a great experience here. Even though they were busy when we arrived, they didn't take long to get us taken care of with our RV. The staff was friendly. There are bins of food items and other things you may want to take with you that were left from others which was so nice! The RV was clean and had everything we needed and the AA roadside assistance was helpful when we needed it. Upon return, we were able to recycle and throw away garbage at the facility and the checkout process and inspection was relatively quick, about 30 minutes. They have a shuttle to take you to the airport or an airport hotel after you return your vehicle also. The cost was reasonable and definitely worth it to see New Zealand.

My experience with StarRv has been incredible. The motorhome (Polaris Berth 6) was incredible, reliable and easy to drive which made my first road trip memorable! The drop off with Niko was super easy and quick. I got refunded for some engine oil bought along the way and got a lift to the airport with their shuttle. Thanks guys!

my friends and I had a seamless rental through star rv! Our motorhome was very clean, we had a full explanation on how to use everything. Everyone was very nice and super helpful. There was a little bit of a wait for the motorhome but they gave us a rental car in the meantime to drive around and explore! We had a great experience and would definitely go through them again.

Our whole experience was very swift; Our Polaris 6 was very clean & the staff were very thorough when showing us the vehicle. We had no dramas our entire trip over 14 days. Best Road Trip ever! First time and definitely not the last time
Great rental and great staff. Motorhome was clean, new and well-stocked with everything you needed for travel to an off-grid place. Restocking of laundry was also fast and efficient. Will be renting again when I come back to NZ.

We had a great experience and saw so much in 6 days in really good comfort. I'm sorry for the people that didn't have a good experience. We looked after our van so that it would be good for the next people to enjoy, as much as we did. We saw Tekapo, Pukaki, Aoraki, Te Anau, Manapouri, Seals, Penguins, Aurora Australis, Starry nights, kiwi prints on a lake all to ourselves, pristine lakes and rivers.... and so much more we got to see of this magical country of ours. Great memories and moments. The van was easy to drive, safe and we had everything we needed to make it a memorable trip. Thanks Sherif and well done team. ( I hope more people write reviews when they've had a good experience and not just a difficult one ) We can absolutely recommend them.

My experience with StarRV was amazing!!! Polaris Nova was our home for 6 days and we had the best experience ever. Nice shower, with separate toilet, heaps of storage spaces and comfortable bed. I couldn't not miss the chance to share my review because I had my doubts in the beginning based on previous reviews... but compared to other's prices we decided to give it a go and I highly recommend them, as the Star RV team were really helpful. The price and service was the best and we really loved our experience. Thank you guys!!!

Good experience overall. The motorhome was pretty well equipped (but a coffee maker would’ve been nice!), with some decent features like being able to heat water off the electrics (when plugged in). Everything worked as it should’ve, and was mostly pretty clean when we picked it up. We were kept waiting 2-3 hrs on pickup for it to be cleaned and serviced, but they at least compensated us for the lost time. Overall pretty happy with the service, especially versus other motorhome rental companies we’ve used in the past.
