We had a really good experience renting from starRV for our New Zealand trip. The vehicle was a great size for us and was handed over in good condition. It also came very well equipped with pretty much everything we needed for the trip, including cooking utensils, bedding, plates and cutlery. There were even thoughtful extras like a toaster and wine glasses, which made living in the campervan very comfortable. One area that could be improved would be the handover process. We felt that it could have been a little more thorough, as we were mostly left to carry out the vehicle checks ourselves. Thankfully, we had come prepared with a detailed checklist and were able to clarify anything we were unsure about with the starRV staff. To their credit, the service staff were very helpful and patient in answering all our questions. We also would have appreciated having the option to choose the vehicle generation or model, rather than having one randomly assigned, especially since there can be differences between the newer and older vehicles. Overall, though, we had a positive experience with starRV. The campervan was comfortable, well equipped and suited our trip very well. I would definitely consider renting from starRV again for another New Zealand road trip.

This campervan experience was beyond…
This campervan experience was beyond expectations, with a fully contained van featuring updated technology including lane assist, adaptive speed control and plenty of space. I also quickly stopped worrying about energy consumption and charging capability as the battery lasted quite a while and I had no issues with charging devices. The bed was comfortable although I’m 6’5” so I got a bit tired of not fitting after a while. The petrol last a good while. Over 4000kms, I refuelled maybes 4-5 times. My only gripe was that the water and grey water tank digital meters were far from accurate, only providing a reading at the nearest 25% which would be skewed massively if I was on a slope.

We had an amazing experience with Star RV! We travelled from Adelaide to Perth and covered nearly 4,000 km in the van. Everything went really smoothly, the van was great, and it allowed us to have an incredible road trip and visit some absolutely amazing places along the way. The Star RV team was fantastic from start to finish — super friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. A massive thank you to Kobe and his colleague who we met in Perth, you guys were legends! It was amazing trip travelling around in WA for 5 weeks. I was amazed that the Van (Hired under RVStar) had run very well which I have driven over 33.000km. I admitted I have wish to choose bigger size of the Van as the Van I hired was quite too small inside the Van for me but main thing the Van run very well to many places I had visited in WA. WA are truly amazing and beautiful country even the local people are quite friendly people.

Campervan is a great way to see NZ. Our Star RV served the purpose very well. we had the 6 Berth Ivesco van and this drove very well. the van was comfortable. The team was wonderful to deal with, they seemed very focused on helping us to have the best experience possible, were happy to supply more linen 1/2 way through the trip. It was an easy pick up & drop off.

Our Star RV Polaris 6 was great for 3 adults to enjoy a trip from Adelaide to Perth. Both depots are close enough to each airport to make it very convinient to collect and drop off the van. It was an older van but mechanically we felt very safe and had no problems on the trip. There were no hitches when booking the van and when we needed to change drop off dates the staff accomidated us professionally and witout any hassles. They were great to del with all round. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

Absolutely loved our 14 day roadtrip. Vehicle was in great order. We had a couple of hiccups (not their fault) during the trip which were both rectified quickly. Staff were professional and friendly on pick up and drop off. We will be using Star Rv again.

I found the staff efficient and friendly, giving me all I needed to know when picking up the campervan. Our trip was comfortable and warm in the wintry conditions and the vehicle was excellent to drive, with plenty of power. The price was better than some other companies, if not the lowest. The only tricky thing to get used to was the gear change on the steering column.

We had a wonderful journey with our Star RV campervan! The motorhome was well-equipped and provided incredible convenience for our road trip across New Zealand. The check-in and hand-over process went smoothly. Just a couple of minor points for improvement:1. We encountered a slight issue with draining the grey water/waste water hose at times. 2. The side awning was not functional during our trip. Overall, it was still a fantastic rental experience! Thanks for making our New Zealand trip so memorable.

Quick easy pickup and drop off but unfortunately no airport service and used DidiVery easy to go through pickup routine and simple clear instructions RV was clean and easy to move around and had a cold fridge and a heap of storage I found it easy to drive and pretty economical on fuel and drove to Hervey Bay and back on less than a tank of fuel The double bed was very comfortable and I slept well The electronic controls to turn on/off shower , water pump etc was very easy The two staff at pick up were very friendly , multilingual and helpful and return was even easier !!!!

The Polaris 2. Winner.
The core of our experience was the vehicle itself, A Fiat based Polaris-2 fitted into normal parking bays, handled like a sports car and was in off grid setup. This gave us proper independance while exploring the Daintree out of the Cairns depot. 1st class experience.

You guys are just so friendly and don't try hide costs throughout the process like some others do (e.g. Campervan Village). You offer a great service and your depots are always such a nice vibe with friendly staff and a nice coffee machine! Then of course the vans we've hired from you (one 6-berth and one 2-berth) have been top tier, especially our most recent one. The most well furnished and designed van we've had yet and we've used about 4-5! Thanks guys :)

We had an amazing trip, and every single experience made it memorable. The motorhome was beautiful, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed, making our journey enjoyable from start to finish. I do have a couple of suggestions that could make the experience even better. Firstly, the grey water drain hose was too short. We stayed at six different campgrounds, and it only reached the drain at one of them, so a longer hose would be very helpful. Secondly, the pick-up process took quite a while. Having more staff available during vehicle collection would help reduce waiting times and make the experience much smoother. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily recommend Starrv to others.

It was easy to drive and contained all we needed to be self-sufficient. The booking service was exceptional, especially since we needed to add an extra day to our booking. Communication was great, pick up and drop off were easy, and everything was as advertised. Good experience
We booked the Polaris 2 through Ratpack Travel, to drive from Brisbane to Cairns. We had to wait around a hour for the camper to be sorted on pick up despite booking a pick up time. The camper van was fairly clean and in a good condition, modern and exactly how it was advertised. Unfortunately we didn’t check our electric cable before we left and when we got to our first powered campsite it was partially melted. It was resolved by a phone call to the emergency number who stated we’d be reimbursed for buying a new cable, which we were. Just make sure you check the state of the camper before you leave the pick up location, check the cables and watch the help videos that they have. Overall we had a great experience.

What an amazing experience from start to finish. The trip from Brisbane down to Melbourne and back was everything we hoped for and more. From Stoney Creek in Port Macquarie, over the mountains and inland through Coonabarabran, into the heat at West Wyalong (38°C and still going strong), then pushing on to Melbourne — the RV didn’t miss a beat. We packed it for five days in Melbourne, and the Fiat-based motorhome handled everything we threw at it: heat, distance, rain, kids, the lot. Along the way, we stayed in some fantastic drive-in caravan parks that were far more affordable than any hotel, with great facilities that made travelling with kids easy and comfortable. Even fuel use came in better than expected. On the way back, stopping at Benalla, then Kiama on the coast, and continuing to enjoy great parks made the whole journey feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed. Every stop had what we needed, and the kids absolutely loved it. All up, it was an unforgettable couple of weeks — easy, comfortable, adventurous, and surprisingly economical. The motorhome was brilliant, came with everything we needed to just take off on our adventure and the trip was made seamless by the company and I’d highly recommend it to anyone thinking about doing something similar. Absolutely worth it.

The most wonderful family holiday in the Sunshine Coast! The Polaris 6 motorhome has everything we needed plus more. The full size fridge and air con made the trip so much easier in the summer heat. Pegs and clothes lines for all the wet gears. We also didn’t think we would use the toilet and shower but they were so handy with small kids when all of sudden they “must go now”. The staff at Brisbane branch are so friendly and patient, showing us the vehicle features while our kids play in the branch kids area. There’s a cupboard beside the reception, you can pick up some left over road trip things — dish soap, salt & pepper shakers etc. We had visitors who live in the sunny coast they were genuinely impressed how well set up we were. Thank you Star RV!

Even though the reviews on-line are not great and communication with Star RV was difficult, our expectations immediately changed when we arrived at Brisbane Depot for the RV pick up. The vehicle handled very well. Information was easily available for first timers. The vehicle had small non-safety related problems that we discovered along the way, but could deal with. We had a blast and would recommend Star RV to anyone in the future.

We hired the Polaris 6 for a band tour from Brisbane recently. The vehicle was very modern, clean and tidy. The linen is all provided for 3x double beds, perfect for us. It was great for off-grid camping with 12v and LPG appliances, and very convenient with a toilet and shower on board.

We hired a StarRV campervan to go from Brisbane to Cairns. Picking the van up in Brisbane was busy but we were all sorted quickly. The van was great and clean. We had a mechanical issue on the second day which required a replacement van and that was brought to us quickly to allow us to carry on with our adventure. Going by campervan is the best way to travel. We arrived in Cairns and handed the van back to the great team there. Despite the mechanical issue, we had an amazing time and I wouldn't hesitate to use StarRV/Jucy again.

On arrival I was a bit worried because the van we were picking up had been delayed being returned due to an issue. Joyce and the team at Brisbane provided a car for the day so we could go to Australia Zoo as planned. The team looked after our suitcases then drove the RV up to Beerwah to meet us meaning the inconvenience was minimal. Joyce made it clear that we were a priority for her and explained all about the van along with staying in contact over the first few days answering any queries within seconds. StarRV is the (deluxe) motorhome arm of Jucy. I’ve rented from Jucy before, and I’ve always been happy with their customer service. The team at Brisbane were busy, but very helpful with all of my questions and provided tips on where to go. Unlike some other companies, pick up from the airport is a breeze. The Polaris 6 is very large, but the added reversing camera helped navigate parking at the beach and supermarket. Even though it had over 100,000km I found only two minor wear and tear issues. The vehicle felt very well maintained. The gas fridge does take some getting used to (remember more dots equals colder) but the freezer ensured nothing spoiled and I managed to go 3 nights without plugging in to power and used minimal LPG.
