We picked up the van. It was already for us. After a thorough explanation of everything and stocked with a couple of things we asked for we were in our way. I love driving the van. It’s new and easy to maneuver.
Good experience
We booked the Polaris 2 through Ratpack Travel, to drive from Brisbane to Cairns. We had to wait around a hour for the camper to be sorted on pick up despite booking a pick up time. The camper van was fairly clean and in a good condition, modern and exactly how it was advertised. Unfortunately we didn’t check our electric cable before we left and when we got to our first powered campsite it was partially melted. It was resolved by a phone call to the emergency number who stated we’d be reimbursed for buying a new cable, which we were. Just make sure you check the state of the camper before you leave the pick up location, check the cables and watch the help videos that they have. Overall we had a great experience.

We really loved everything about our experience. From the very beginning, the staff during the pick-up were incredibly friendly and took the time to explain everything to us with great care and patience. We also truly appreciated the small postcard we received at the start, wishing us lots of fun on our trip, such a lovely and personal touch. Of course, the campervan itself was fantastic and absolutely perfect in our eyes. Another moment that really stood out to us was receiving a call from the head office during the floods along the Great Ocean Road, just to check if we were safe and everything was okay. That was extremely kind, thoughtful, and showed genuine care for your customers.

What an amazing experience from start to finish. The trip from Brisbane down to Melbourne and back was everything we hoped for and more. From Stoney Creek in Port Macquarie, over the mountains and inland through Coonabarabran, into the heat at West Wyalong (38°C and still going strong), then pushing on to Melbourne — the RV didn’t miss a beat. We packed it for five days in Melbourne, and the Fiat-based motorhome handled everything we threw at it: heat, distance, rain, kids, the lot. Along the way, we stayed in some fantastic drive-in caravan parks that were far more affordable than any hotel, with great facilities that made travelling with kids easy and comfortable. Even fuel use came in better than expected. On the way back, stopping at Benalla, then Kiama on the coast, and continuing to enjoy great parks made the whole journey feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed. Every stop had what we needed, and the kids absolutely loved it. All up, it was an unforgettable couple of weeks — easy, comfortable, adventurous, and surprisingly economical. The motorhome was brilliant, came with everything we needed to just take off on our adventure and the trip was made seamless by the company and I’d highly recommend it to anyone thinking about doing something similar. Absolutely worth it.

The most wonderful family holiday in the Sunshine Coast! The Polaris 6 motorhome has everything we needed plus more. The full size fridge and air con made the trip so much easier in the summer heat. Pegs and clothes lines for all the wet gears. We also didn’t think we would use the toilet and shower but they were so handy with small kids when all of sudden they “must go now”. The staff at Brisbane branch are so friendly and patient, showing us the vehicle features while our kids play in the branch kids area. There’s a cupboard beside the reception, you can pick up some left over road trip things — dish soap, salt & pepper shakers etc. We had visitors who live in the sunny coast they were genuinely impressed how well set up we were. I recently rented a Polaris 6 motorhome and had a fantastic experience. The team’s customer service was excellent — everyone was friendly, helpful, and quick to answer any questions I had. The vehicle itself was in perfect working condition, clean, reliable, and comfortable throughout the entire trip. The road trip was amazing and gave me the flexibility I was looking for. Being able to set my own pace and change plans along the way made the journey even more enjoyable. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the rental and would definitely book again in the future.

Even though the reviews on-line are not great and communication with Star RV was difficult, our expectations immediately changed when we arrived at Brisbane Depot for the RV pick up. The vehicle handled very well. Information was easily available for first timers. The vehicle had small non-safety related problems that we discovered along the way, but could deal with. We had a blast and would recommend Star RV to anyone in the future.

We hired the Polaris 6 for a band tour from Brisbane recently. The vehicle was very modern, clean and tidy. The linen is all provided for 3x double beds, perfect for us. It was great for off-grid camping with 12v and LPG appliances, and very convenient with a toilet and shower on board.

We hired a StarRV campervan to go from Brisbane to Cairns. Picking the van up in Brisbane was busy but we were all sorted quickly. The van was great and clean. We had a mechanical issue on the second day which required a replacement van and that was brought to us quickly to allow us to carry on with our adventure. Going by campervan is the best way to travel. We arrived in Cairns and handed the van back to the great team there. Despite the mechanical issue, we had an amazing time and I wouldn't hesitate to use StarRV/Jucy again.

On arrival I was a bit worried because the van we were picking up had been delayed being returned due to an issue. Joyce and the team at Brisbane provided a car for the day so we could go to Australia Zoo as planned. The team looked after our suitcases then drove the RV up to Beerwah to meet us meaning the inconvenience was minimal. Joyce made it clear that we were a priority for her and explained all about the van along with staying in contact over the first few days answering any queries within seconds. The level of support and the understanding shown was absolutely top notch - would definitely recommend this company and the Brisbane branch in particular 👍👍🥳

StarRV is the (deluxe) motorhome arm of Jucy. I’ve rented from Jucy before, and I’ve always been happy with their customer service. The team at Brisbane were busy, but very helpful with all of my questions and provided tips on where to go. Unlike some other companies, pick up from the airport is a breeze. The Polaris 6 is very large, but the added reversing camera helped navigate parking at the beach and supermarket. Even though it had over 100,000km I found only two minor wear and tear issues. The vehicle felt very well maintained. The gas fridge does take some getting used to (remember more dots equals colder) but the freezer ensured nothing spoiled and I managed to go 3 nights without plugging in to power and used minimal LPG. Excellent bedding and towels and I was surprised to see they included a hair dryer. My deposit was refunded within 48 hours. Tip: don’t be in a rush when collecting, best fuel economy was about 95kph and practice putting the awning away so you don’t damage it.
