Browns Shoes at Southgate mall Edmonton, has a fabulous team, they are all very professional and has a great customer service skills. They are very helpful, friendly, they don't leave you wondering around and not knowing what you should do when you are in their store, and I really love their sales floor associate very first helpful and friendly approach to their customers! The team always make me want to come back to shop in their store because they are all so great in what they do!! Way to go Browns Shoes Team, you always got this!!

I had an excellent experience at Brown's Shoes! Milat went above and beyond to help me find the perfect pair of shoes. They were so friendly, patient, and thoughtful, even bringing out three different sizes just in case to make sure I got the best fit. That level of customer service really stood out. The cashier was also incredibly kind and welcoming, and the entire team was professional. It's refreshing to receive such genuine, attentive service. He listened to what I needed, offered thoughtful suggestions, and never made me feel rushed. Belal’s product knowledge and attention to detail really stood out, and it’s rare to find service this good anymore. Simply put, Belal is amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to deal with. He made the whole shopping experience smooth and enjoyable, and I walked out with exactly what I needed. What impressed me most was how thorough he was. He asked great questions about fit and comfort, explained the differences between styles and materials, and made sure I was completely satisfied before I left. I have been to the Brown's Shoes at the Outlet Mall south of Edmonton twice in the last week. The service was exceptional: friendly, knowledgeable, and focused on ensuring I was able to purchase exactly what I was looking for. I had a great experience at this Browns store, and I would like to especially mention how helpful Raunak was (apologies if I’ve misspelled your name). I visited the store to discuss an issue with my Pajar shoes, and Raunak assisted me with the warranty process. He took care of my concern with full courtesy and patiently explained the entire process in a very polite and professional manner. He also provided a solution right away, which I truly appreciated. Because of this experience, I would always prefer going to this location to purchase shoes. The entire staff is very professional and courteous. Good mall in Edmonton acessible by LRT (Metro Train) & by Bus
The mall has all brand shops i was looking for and its big enough to spend a whole day & beyond. Various shops had offers and the staff were friendly & helpful. Shops and floors are easily accessible even on wheel chair & common area and amenities are maintained well

Spacious Mall
The mall is quite big, clean with many outlets for shopping. One can get all requirements for a daily life here with nice parking lots. The food court is also nice. Ideally a very good place for walkers during winter time.

Went to browns to get myself 1 pair of shoes and came out with 3 for me and 1 for my boyfriend. Obviously I have a shoe problem but I also was swayed by the attentiveness and kindness from the lady who assisted me. It's hard to find help when you are in a retail setting now a days and they made it a comfortable shopping experience. Kudos to this location.. will be back even though it's over an hour from me!

I was in Browns and was helped by Sam. I learned that she is a manager not an associate there but yet helped me with her amazing knowledge, experience and honesty. One great thing was that she knew when to give me some space to browse and decide and when to approach to help and suggest. Also, it was reassuring that I felt that I was helped in a manner as if she would purchase for herself, with the same level of honesty and care. Sam recommended every options considering my style with patience and asked where and how much I will be wearing the shoes to decide on the best one. She did not get frustrated by bringing different shoes and sizes and finally explained how to take care of the shoes for more durability. I do recommend shopping in Browns in Southgate with their wide range of options and such great staff.

Then she took the box from me and escorted me to the tailor where the gentleman wa very nice and helped me. Razvan and Sam help me choose another pair of shoes both were amazing. I’ve shopped at this location several times and the service is always on point, staff is helpful and give you space to look around, bring out the product all the while remaining friendly and helpful. They also have a great selection, doesn’t help my crazy shoe addiction something I’m afraid I’ve passed on to my daughter ! I found my work safety Blunnies in my preferred color, who said you can’t look stylish sporting work boots & platform Doc Martens for my daughter. She was over the moon!! In this economy it’s not just about the product but also the service provided and this location has always given us great service. We will be back!

On September 20th I commented on Facebook how unhappy I was with the fact that I received an ad for Browns Shoes, fell in love with a pair of sneakers and when I tried to order them online they didn't even show up as an item they offered. It was both frustrating and disappointing! I was put in contact with Edmonton District Manager Annik Garceau and she went above and beyond looking into why this happened and if it would be possible for me to purchase a pair. Her extra effort paid off in both figuring out why this happened, extremely popular shoe with limited quantities, and potentially finding a pair in my size!! In a world that is increasingly online it is easy to forget how much of an impact amazing customer service has on a person. Anniks actions in this situation will have me going to Brown's whenever I need footwear! She is an amazing representative for Brown's Shoes and her commitment to resolving this in the best possible way for me was outstanding!!!!

Top notch customer service. Quality footwear. I bought a pair of men’s UGG boots and they have passed the test of time. I’ve even mudded out the boots and left them wet for a few days in my trunk, to then clean them and find they are still just as good as new!

Amazing staff!! I had a shoe emergency because I left it to the last minute (needed a pair of classic black heels) the morning of my white coat ceremony. I was supposed to be at the ceremony at 10:00AM, which is when the mall opens. I got there early (around 9:40AM), hoping to sneak in a few minutes before. The staff let me in right when I got there! 20 minutes before opening. They were super kind and understanding of my situation, and were happy to help, even though they technically weren't open yet. I was so so appreciative. I ended up making it right on time for my ceremony. Thank you so much to the Brown's staff at Southgate!!!

Browns shoes at Southgate Mall Edmonton is beautifully laid out and invites you to walk in and browse. It has a wide stock in a spacious environment. I loved my shoe shopping experience in this shop particularly because of Ivy the shopping assistant. She is cheerful and knowledgeable about her stock with tons of patience. She makes good suggestions about what other styles one might like depending on the information that one gives her. I had the best shoe shopping experience here and left with the perfect pair of sandles after trying on so many. I have found my shoe shop! 😌🤗🤗

Have had multiple good experiences at this store with customer service, but today's service was particularly worthy of a 5 start review. Jalal immediately greeted us and helped me find an order I had called ahead to hold. Even though I was already planning on purchasing, he gave me lots of great feedback on the boots. He then noticed my husband looking around and offered to help him. We had no intentions of buying my husband boots today (although he definitely needed some, he can be very indecisive). Jalal learned exactly why my husband hadn't yet purchased new boots and used that intel to narrow down the options based on our needs and price point. He was so knowledgeable, was able to quickly pick up my husbands sense of style, and somehow managed to get my husband to decide on a new set of boots in less than 15 minutes. Amazing service and sales team. Thanks Jalal!

I started with a good brand of winter boots, given as a gift from Browns. However, they were quite cold and my feet were uncomfortable. It was disappointing, but mostly just confusing. of course I had been wearing the boots for a few weeks to find this out. When I went in to Browns to talk to the manager about what I was experiencing, we talked about how odd this was, given the reputation of the brand. The manager offered me store credit and I was able to do an exchange for a pair of boots that I love and that hold up to our winters! Still confused why the first pair couldn't cut it, but the understanding from the manager was top notch. He could have asked me to contact the company that made them, which would have been slow and annoying. Thanks Brown's, for being understanding and helpful! I wish the manager well in his adventure of welcoming a new baby into this world.

I did my apple store purchase today.
My experience with this outlet was just great. The moment I entered, i was attended immediately by one. Within few seconds we were introduced to a Girl (whose descent is from Pakistan). She was so kind, very quick in attending to my request for a new Iphone 11 purchase & voluntarily helped me to even set it up quickly for me. She deserves a big credit. In fact while getting it done, I noticed few of their staff attending to other customers with the same Zeal & enthusiasm. Keep up the good work mates.

Hello. Had a good sized lunch, the fried egg rice, vegetables and sesame chicken. Service friendly and quick, food good and hot, ample servings of each as the plate was full. Going to frequent it more often.

This mall must have been recently updated because it just shined. There were good anchor stores such as the Bay as well as a great selection of your typical mall stores. Also, there were more home furnishing stores than you would typically find. There was lots of comfy seating throughout the mall. It was easy to navigate your way around. At the west entrance, Edmonton transit was right outside the door.
Great Mall Experience, Extended Weekend Hours
Great Mall, clean, bright, always improving. Often has attractions special events in centre court. Many do not know that they are now open until 7PM on Sat and 6PM on Sundays. (Varies holidays). Also great for morning mall walkers. Easy access just off Whitemud/111ST and Southgate LRT

Nice mall, convenient location
Visiting from Ontario, it was really easy to find the mall. Lots of great stores, including a flagship store, The Bay. Looks like more of an upper end mall to me. Lots boutique type stores and lots of parking. Good mix of stores to find what you want. Not all the stores are geared to teenagers and 20 somethings.

It's a mall, lots of great stores, lots of new stores since the last time I have visited. No attractions at this mall, it is just a mall. There is a food court, no sit down restaurants. It's smaller than WEM and less busy as well.
Great Lunch
It has been a couple of years since I last did Taco Time. The wife and I were Christmas shopping in the mall and felt a hunger coming on. I spotted the Taco Time in the food court and we decided we would both have the Crisp Meat Burrito combos. Mmmm, Mmmm. You must wait 3 to 4 minutes for these to cook but they are well worth the wait! This is my favourite Taco Time meal. Three choices of hot sauces. We opted for the Diablo Hot. Very good!

Gets busy on weekends. Parking lot fills up. Lots of selection for shops and easy to get around. Food court is big and has a good selection. Great for a day out. Definite recommend for shopping.

Good Shopping
Southgate has pretty near everything you need. There is lots of parking, I especially love the covered parkade.
Mostly good visits to this shopping mall other than my last one. I would stay away from Premier Jewellers. The manager can get nasty if you disagree with her service charges that were not expected or confirmed. Mappins has a great selection of jewellery and great sales associates.
Lego store is fun to check out and I always pop into Eddie Bauer.
Excellent coffee place for getting the great service and food needed
This Tim Horton's Location would certainly gets my vote as a model coffee shop for other Tim Horton's who could use the professional examples set by this dynamic staff at South Gate Mall in Edmonton. These hard working and dedicated servers love their work and the only thing they seem to want from their customers is to see those big smiles on the faces of their many customers after, they've served you in a compassionate and kind way, while bringing you that food item that's served to you on time. I know I've been here on several ocassions and time and time this Tim's Crew never ceases to amaze me with how their whole operation is set up. I've sampled their great warmed up toasted bagels with that creamy peanut butter that I've often enjoyed while having a lunch break at their Malls concession. I've eaten their Cheese biscuits warmed up the way you'd prefer the biscuits without a worry.
Their peanut butter cookies are always Tim Horton's Fresh. Coffee always comes freshly brewed. I'll always look forwards to giving the rest of their menu a try, cause I'll always no what to expect from the best Tim Horton's in Edmonton. John Zapantis

This mall is not the best in Edmonton but it is the cleanest. Southgate has the majority of major retailers and a large food court. There is ample parking and the plus is that it is one level. There is a second level with 3 or 4 shops however I rarely see anyone up there. I like this mall the most because it is always clean. The staff are prompt at making sure the washrooms and food court are the cleanest for patrons.
Shop til you drop!
We don't have much variety for shopping in our small town, so when we travelled to Edmonton for a concert, we were able to shop in a lot of our favorite shops without having to travel. We were pleased that our shopping experience was quick (no line-ups), and we found almost everything that we had on our lists.

Clean Modern Mall
Clean and spacious mall that is easily accessible by bus or lrt. They offer personal shopping and concierge services. Come early to enjoy a cup of coffee and uncrowded stores.
Nice big Mall
Had to go see about my phone (Apple) and that was how I ended up at this mall. Lots of parking and the mall had a really great number of shops and lots of great seating area's. It was easy to find the shop I was looking for and I found the mall staff very friendly and helpful.
Good mall, one level only
Nice mall in South Edmonton. Have visited many times throughout the years. Last visit was July 2011. Good range of stores with no real high end retailers so most budgets can easily manage. The bay is small but has a decent selection of merchandise. Nice sized food court and seating isn't usually a problem at a smaller mall.

This mall is a great mall. It offers a lot of stores and is the third biggest mall in Edmonton. There is a good food court with about 20 restaurants, and there is another one detached from the mall itself. There is lots to see for little kids, there is an awesome Lego store and a toy store and there are kid carts available for free to push your toddlers around in. The only downside to this mall is it's pricey. A lot of the stores in the mall are upper class, such as lots of jewelry, fine furniture and pricey clothing so if you are on a tight budget I recommend going to a different mall. But overall this mall never seizes to entertain me for a few hours and I can usually always find what I need. It is always well kept and maintained and is overall a good mall.

Variety above Average
It is very rare to visit a shopping centre that has several stores that are all above average in quality and variety
Southgate mall has such incredible stores that it would be difficult to find another mall with such an above average collection

Great for furniture but only OK for clothes
Had not been to Southgate for some years and had heard good things. Went to look and enjoyed Restoration Hardware, but the clothes shopping is wanting with only Zara that fits my tastes and budget.
I don't love WEM because of the people and noise, but it is a better fit for most if you're looking for clothes.

That's a good local shopping mall with a good selection of shops and brands. It is very convenient, because it is beside of a bus terminal and a surface train station, so it is easy to reach.

If you don't like big malls and big crowds, I would definitely recommend coming here instead of West Edmonton Mall. It is a smaller mall, but it has many good stores. There is a good variety of food in the food court and the décor in this mall is very nice.

If you are looking to do some "one stop shopping" without walking miles, this is the best place in Edmonton. Sears and The Bay carry a good variety of inventory and there are are plenty of unique shops in the mall for whatever you are looking for.
There is lots of parking and if you prefer transit, the LRT stops right at the mall.
Good alternative
This place is a good alternative to the West Edmonton Mall if you can't stand a big crowd or a large mall. Though clearly without as much selection, there is plenty to do to satisfy the shopping urge.
Something for Everyone
This is the best shopping mall in Edmonton. It is large enough to give great variety but not so large that you have to do walk miles to get to where you want to shop. The mall is laid out as a large rectangle so that the is two long aisles with two sides on each plus the shorter sides with two sides of shopping. The food court is attractive and has muted overhead televisions with captions to read. There is a great variety of food. The shops are anchored br Hudsons Bay ans Sears. The smaller shops off everything from the ordinary to the high end spectacular, plus specialty stores. The mall has beautiful decor and provides a pleasurable shopping experience. The guest services are excellent.
Small, well designed and has all the stores you need
As a visitor, i had a couple hours to grab a bite and look for some gifts. This mall is much easier to navigate than West Edmonton Mall and has all the stores one needs. The food fair was fast and great selections. Parking was easy and close by.

Shopping aplenty!
If you are looking go shopping then look no further than Southgate
Centre with a large selection of stores from Ikea to Old Navy. The restaurants are many and varied in food selection, this is a walking type of shopping compared to a Mall. So you get your exercise while you shop so come on down and try some thing new!

Good mall
Has a wider variety of higher-end shops such as Michael Kors, Coach, MAC Cosmetics, Rocky Mountain Chocolatiers, and Apple without the large crowds of West Ed. Interior has been renovated and is well-maintained and cleaned.

Lovely mall
From the outside this mall looks old and tired but the inside has been renovated and there were many great shopping opportunities within. All the top name chain stores seemed to be there. Mall is well laid out with directories all around. A solid choice for a shopping experience.
Good Mall for shopping
I visited Edmonton for WEM ( West Edmonton Mall), and it turned out that I did more shopping in Southgate Mall, maybe it is less huge and gave me less pressure, or maybe it has nice environments and easy to try and make decisions.
Nice shopping mall
A great local shopping mall. It was just the right size Center, not too big and not too small. There were plenty of shops for browsing. Well worth a visit.
Loved this mall
We stopped by this mall because it was close to our hotel and was not disappointed. The kids loved the Lego store. We will definitely go again.
Great Mall
I've been in Edmonton one day and this mall was the first place I came into, it has many stores, foodcourt, a sears, the main canadian banks and phone companies, big parking lot and there is an ETS station just outside. really nice place
Clothes make the man. And a well dressed man needs to be well heeled whether at the office, touring around or on a night out. What I like about Brown's is two-fold. One is the overall selection- I would have given Brown's 5 stars, but without a larger selection of dress shoes I simply cannot do it (too many of the dress shoe styles are very similar to each other). The service, however, is always 5 star here. I have shopped at Brown's a number of times, including today, and they never disappoint. Your size is sold out? Let's check and see if we can order. The shoe doesn't fit quite right? Let's bring out a few sizes. Great service will always have me coming back here searching for the right shoe.
Other than being surprised there was few shoes to choose from on sale during boxing week I'm happy I shopped here. Great service.
I really enjoy shopping at Browns. I think what sets them apart from other shoe stores is how dedicated the staff seem to be. Rarely do I see one of them standing around and not doing anything. They're always helping someone out. Even when no one is in the store you'll see them facing the entrance and smiling ear-to-ear, as if they're inviting you in with their faces. Browns is similar to Town Shoes (which is right across from this store, ironically) but it has a wider selection of shoes, for men especially. They feature high-end brands like Lacoste and more common brands like Nike as well, so there's something for everyone. It is definitely pricey, and I rarely see any sales.
