My husband and I came into the store this past Friday to pick up a pair of boots that had been purchased online . From the beginning Aaron had been very patient and very helpful and even asked me if I wanted to try on the boots to ensure everything fit . He suggested I’d try the terry cloth insoles to make them more snug. He even offered to clean my shoes as a courtesy and decided to purchase extra items to help keep my shoes clean. Our ‘go-to’ mall
This is our go-to mall. It’s easy to get around and even though several stores have closed down, newer ones have moved in including some high end shops. The food court has good selections but there are other family restaurants too. What was nice to see this year was the centre all decorated for various special events including Halloween! Parking is easy and available all around the various entrances.

A good Sunday of shopping
We enjoyed our Sunday wandering through the mall looking for some specialty candy and even stopped at Bar Burrito for some tacos, which were very tasty. This mall seems to be much less crowded than the Chinook mall.

I needed a haircut and headed to Southcentre. It was early, no lineup, good cut. Picked up a quick coffee at one place, lottery tickets at another, and it was back to the car and home. Quick, simple. I like this place because you can generally park fairly close to an entry point if you want, and with it's circular design, it's easy to navigate inside.

Convenient in so many ways!
I needed to get a haircut recently before all the hair salons closed down completely for the next COVID shutdown, and was able to get an appointment at a barber in Southcentre Mall. One of the ways this mall is convenient is that there are many entry points, and many places to park close to one. Once you're in the mall, because of its "donut" style circular design, no shop is really very far any entry point. This is especially helpful for those with physical challenges - no endlessly long concourses or hallways here. For drivers, it's close to major roadways like Deerfoot Trail, Anderson Road and Macleod Trail. For transit users, the Anderson Light Rail Transit Station is a short walk on a pedestrian bridge across Macleod Trail, plus several bus routes stop here too. There are some special stores here, but mainly it's just the what you'd normally expect.

Tons of parking. Pretty well every shop one would need. Our favourite venue is Craft Beer Market. Right on the C-Train at Anderson Station.
We are RV'ers and the Mall allows free overnight RV parking, visit security on lower level when you arrive.
Lots of new stores coming to the Mall this Fall including Dollarama, Winners and Petland.

I went in to try a couple pairs of a style I wanted to buy. The staff were friendly and greeted me immediately. Gordon got me a few sizes of a shoe I liked, and as I was trying them on he picked up my very ratchet and worn timberland boots and started CLEANING AND POLISHING THEM. THIS IS AMAZING. Have bought three pairs of men's shoes from this location previously and have been satisfied with the customer service. As I haven't been in for while we happened to just stop in while in Southcenter mall and ended up buying two more pairs as Yulia(sales person) was very knowledgeable about the quality and style of the shoes we were looking at. As we looked at and picked quite a few shoes and styles she was able to answer every question we had about a variety of shoes and based on the Yulia's in-depth knowledge we selected two pairs to purchase. Yulia's customer service was excellent! It is my opinion that if more employee's in the customer service industry were like Yulia there would be little to no negative feedback/experiences. Food Court Renovation.
We have breakfast here every Sunday.The food court & wash rooms are always spotlessly clean.They have lovely new tables that look like marble & have recovered the booth seats with very nice new fabric.Plenty of different choices of food & I see two new food places will be here soon.This is a very clean mall throughout. Our favourite mall indeed.
Older mall
Looks like it was created before the Chinook Centre, but they kind of bookend the commercial area of Calgary. There is still a nice mix of stores in this mall, which is not quite as busy as Chinook Centre

Lots of good things to say about Southcentre Mall! I always knew they were very community focussed, with many events happening in their central area, but this time there were two: International Day of Happiness (giving out free coffees, yay, made ME very happy) and a Food Bank event which sent a lot food to Calgary's less fortunate. Aside from that, the mall is very light and airy, and I can't say enough about their 2 story, figure 8 design: you're never very far from any store you want to go to. Plus, in the immediate area, there's a big grocery store and library. Does it get better than that?

Great Way to Spend Time Away from the Heat and the Smoke
Calgary is unfortunately covered in a blanket of smoke from the nearby forest fires these days and it's next to impossible to spend time outdoors. Our solution today was to head to this mall and enjoy lunch in the food court and then walk around the two circular levels and enjoy the variety of shops.
My daughter has a small baby and we had heard about the lovely nursing rooms - yes they are indeed very nicely designed and offer everything that a mother might want when shopping with a baby. There are also mom and me bathrooms where the stalls are equiped with an adult as well as a child's toilet.
We enjoyed the food court and were pleased to be served food in compostable containers.
A handy mall, lots of choices
This is a great "go-to" mall for a lot of people. There's a decent selection of stores, with an "H&M" opening soon. I love going here when I'm in a rush, because with it's double-decker circular design, every store is close to every other one. The food court is good, but there are more and more food options out in the mall now, so look around a bit before you decide if you're hungry. With the covered parking on the south side, it makes it extra nice when it's raining or snowing... The only drawback here is that they have not really gone forward with good environmental practises in their recycling. There is no composting for all the food waste, and it was hard to decipher what they actually do recycle. Please join the 21 century and start decent recycling!

Best mall in south Calgary. Has food court where families can meetup during the weekend. Has everything you need in a mall.
Small mall, everything you need.
It may not be the largest mall in Calgary, but it has everything you would want out of a small mall like this. Food court has lots of variety with burgers from A&W, hot dogs from Dairy Queen and New York Fries, Ice Cream from Dairy Queen as well, tacos from Taco Time, multicultural food, and more. But that's just the food court. There's some food scattered throughout the store, like a Craft Beer Market on the upper level, a Tim Hortons, Analog Coffee, Mr. Pretzel, every mall I've ever went to has a Kernels, and there's a few others. Not to mention a Milestones, and a Safeway outside, and the Safeway also serves Starbucks products. Plus there's stores here for everyone. If you have little kids, they can go to the Disney store, and the Calendar Club has lots of toys. If you have teenagers, there's EBGames, The Source, and Sunrise Records. If you think there are stores you are unsure of, you can always go on the website southcentre.com to see all the stores.There is nothing I dislike about this mall as there's lots of variety when it comes to stores, and it accomplishes more than what you would expect out of such a small mall. Oh not to mention there's a bus stop not too far from the Food court, and the Anderson Train Station is not far either if Calgary Transit is your primary mode of transportation.

My Go to Mall when visiting Calgary
Every visit this is the mall I come to. Everything I need or don't, in one place. Easy to get to and the food court is a multicultural cuisine experience.
Easy to navigate mall, oodles of parking, located next to a Calgary architectural gem
This is a good, solid mall, supplied with all the "usual subjects" in terms of shopping and food, but also a few unique shops. The food court has a nice ambience. Sadly, the old Sears department store has now shut down, and the space is being redeveloped. On my recent visit, I noticed what looks to be a new Tim Horton's on the second level outside the Hudsons Bay. On site of the mall is also one of Calgary's largest Safeway stores, and the Fish Creek Public Library, which is a true architectural masterpiece.
Modern
It is a nice place. I enjoy the food court as it has large window you can look out. You don’t feel like it black hole.

what a great visit, on the way out a young man named Randy gave us four boxes of candy canes for free, he said here have one for the little ones. We are so grateful for this gesture, especially at Christmas
Well designed for easy walking, good selection of stores (including Sears) and eateries
I always like coming here. In some malls, you walk and walk and walk, and feel like you've completed a marathon at the end. Here, it's not far from end to end, and so you can find things quickly, without emptying the tank. The food court has all the usual suspects, and is reliable in that way. There are a many high-end shops and stores, such as Sporting Life, etc., but Sears has remained for now, to provide a bit of balance, along with Shoppers Drug Mart and Source. Parking has always been plentiful, and for those using transit, it's a short hike (e.g. a bit of a walk, but still okay) to the Anderson LRT station.

Great Little Mall
Firstly, there is an above ground parking area adjacent to the mall, which is great during a heavy rainfall! Plenty of above ground uncovered parking is available as well. This mall is manageable in size (not as large as Chinook) and has a good variety of businesses. The Sears store here (like most Sears locations now) seems empty and on its way out, but, there are many bargains to be had, especially in the kitchen section.
The food court is an excellent one, and there are a lot of facilities for children as well. The washrooms are ample, especially those for nursing Moms and kids.
Should you want a mall that is not overwhelming in size, and not crowded, visit South Centre Mall, as it is well worth the visit.
Great Mall
Found this mall clean and bright with several stores that my teens love. Easy to find stores as not too huge. Not as many sales but might be time of year.
Not the biggest mall in the city but probably the best.
Not the sprawling mall like Chinook or market mall but a good selection of stores. A decent number of places in the food court too.
Food court
We enjoy the food court here.Its kept spanking clean by the housekeeping staff.They have real plants that are well looked after so you can breath in the the clean air they provide.The washrooms are also always very clean.Lots of parking & a mix of good stores add to the malls enjoyment.Also lots of variety in the food court for different types of food.
A good place if you need to check out a lot of stores without walking too far
We needed to find a few different items and headed to Southcentre to see what we could find. The parking arrangements are very good, so unless it's really really busy, you shouldn't need to park to far from the entrances. The circular design helped us make several stops, and we didn't feel exhausted at the end. The new Sporting Life store was fascinating, and fits well into the high end selection of stores already in the mall. We noticed they've added another chill-out spot near The Bay, and several people were taking advantage of the nice couches.
Convered parking by Sears
On a snowy day choose to park in the covered parking area adjacent to Sears. The lot is located on the south east side of the mall near Safeway and the Calgary Public Library (pyramid shaped building ).
The mall has a good selection of stores plays Sears and Hudson Bay department stores to meet all budgets. The mall's circular design means it is easy to move through for shopping.
Easy access from Deerfoot Trail and Anderson or Macleod Trail. Good connection to C train as well.

I find South Center is the perfect size mall. It isn't huge but have a good variety of stores. With an Autistic teen you don't want to give to many choices and it will over stimulate and cause uneeded stress. I also find South Center to not be overly busy in the evening. We needed formal wear this visit for a funeral and we managed to find everything we needed, including nice shoes

Southcenter mall has been given a face lift and expansion.
The builders have succeeded in making this mall a pleasure to shop in!wonderful selection of stores. I used their online chat to see if a store was still there and the service was excellent and fast!
Food court is pleasant and enough selections, they have Milestones in their parking lot as well, which is a nice option.
The crowds are not as crazy as most malls in Calgary so shopping is more relaxing.
It's a gem in the far SW but well worth finding it.

Better than chinook
I love this mall because it has all the good stores that most people who are coming from out of town want to go to but it's no where near as busy as chinook. It's also super clean and recently renovated. I love that I don't have to park a mile away then have to walk another mile while inside to get to the store I came to shop at. It had all the essentials like Lululemon, guess, Sephora, Express, Aritzia and so many others.
Great environment
We don't get to Southcentre often but when we do I really love the environment, atmosphere, and some of the speciality stores that are located there. Of course Crate and Barrel, and now Neal's Yard! And I saw Sporting Life will be coming. Keep up the great work!
Close to home and it has most of the stores I want to shop at
I usually shop here instead of having to drive to Chinook Centre & drive around looking for a parking space.....yes everyone's nightmare going to Chinook Centre, right!!!!
Southcentre has quite a few store & usually I can get what I'm looking for. Can't wait until the expanded area is done and opened. The Bay and Sears are the anchor stores at this mall.
If I'm looking to comparison shop say for shoes, I do go to Chinook as they have more stores but Southcentre is a great go to mall for all. Nice to see many couches so we can sit down.
Lots of variety
This is a huge mall with lots of variety . I loved shopping in Crate and Barrel store - from furniture to home finishes.
Almost everything you want to buy
The mall is renovating inside and out. Two levels of stores 2 large sets of washrooms, One at the food court, the other south end near the Hudson's Bay. The Sears and Hudson's Bay are the Department stores. The Food court has a good variety of choices. No bookstore though.
My Favorite Mall in Calgary!
My kids love indoor playground so that's the be reason I love this mall, before they have a mini playground near the elevator as my kids called it Octopus mall because of a big octopus in the entrance of the playground but then they removed it and made a better one called Roar! It is near the grocery store Safeway, it has Sears for a department store, a food court, They have lots of shops around with good quality of products and brands. I love this mall!
Nice South side Mall
Great mall on the south side of Calgary. A lot of stores are moving around in the mall which makes it very nice as each one of them are getting a face lift which keeps things current. No problem with parking, and they have a nice food court with an additional 2 restaurants on the southwest corner of the mall. The Hudson Bay is getting a reno, and it will be fantastic once it is completed.
Keeps getting better!
This is our 'go to' shopping mall. We have watched it grow and expand over the years, under various stages of renovations, some stores have closed, some have moved or changed location in the mall, new ones arrived and the ambiance keeps on getting better throughout the growth. The Bay and Sears are at opposite ends with a great variety of shops in between on the two levels. There are more than enough choices of quality merchandise to suit our needs. The food court is very clean as are the bathrooms. The staff in the stores are friendly and helpful. There is parking in the lots around the mall and also in the parkade by the Sears.
Perfect size.
This mall has very quickly become my fave shopping mall in Calgary. If you want expensive designer items, go to Chinook. Otherwise Southcenter mall has everything and more than what I generally am looking for.

We visit Southcentre Mall weekly for breakfast & shopping.The food court is very clean with excellent,spotless washrooms & a wide variety of places to eat.
High end shopping is available. I was so sorry when we lost one of the best dollar stores in Calgary because their rent increased.Rocky Mountain soap company is there with really nice, helpful staff.We use their excellent products & its an Alberta company located in Canmore.Seniors use the mall early mornings for their excercise walks around the Mall & guest services are available (Cars to push children around the mall ect.) Safeway & Fish Creek library are also located in this parking lot.

I am born and raised in Calgary with living across street from this mall my younger years. They have gone through a nice transformation in the last 10+ years. Very clean and decorated really nice. Love Fairweathers!! The food court is arranged nicely with lots of options to choose from. Easy to navigate from store to store. Parking can be a nightmare. Great location in the south.
Clean, classy mall
Southcentre has something for everyone. Very clean, newly redone mall with a good selection of shops and food choices in the food court. I always go to Villa Madina as I love Lebanese food and we don't have this chain in Winnipeg. I love that this store has Crate & Barrel. Great store to pick up all your kitchen needs! This mall is large and every time we go its never really extremely busy. Really nice seating area by Sears to have a rest and to watch sports on the TVs. The staff at the customer service desk were friendly and helpful. Also, there is a Safeway right in the parking lot so you can pick up your groceries on your way home.

I love this Mall, and in my opinion it is the best in the city, for many reasons. Here are the reasons its my favourite.

Spacious food court
A few years back Southcentre began to renovate to create a more comfortable shopping experience, and I would have to say they succeeded. They have created alot of nice seating areas to stop and rest, and all of the furnishings are plush and modern. Clearly a cool designer was involved in the revamp. It never feels crazy like Chinook and there is always lots of parking.
They have the cities only Crate and Barrel, Disney Store and Restoration Hardware. In addition they have all the standard good shops like Banana Republic, Gap, AE, etc....
If you want to get groceries there is a Safeway right there too.
Do yourself a favour, skip Chinook one weekend and check out SouthCentre, its worth a second look. Although I would like to keep this great Mall to myself, in the spirit of Yelp, I'll share it with ya'll ;)
Classy shopping
South Centre Mall will present you with a classy shopping experience. There is a variety of stores - from the beautiful interior Restoration Hardware and Crate and Barrel to American Eagle and R&W. Kids are never bored - many children clothing and toy stores are located across the mall. Also check out the kids play areas. It also has the two main anchors - Sears and The Bay. The food court has a variety of outlets with many independent vendors that serve more organic fresh foods. There are also major restaurants on the property. In addition Safeway is located about 150m from te main entrance.
The mall decor is beautiful and has recently been upgraded.
I visit the mall on a regular basis and people are always curtious and respectful. Its never crowded, so you could shop without people bumping against you.
Access to the mall is e say with parking all around and entrances abound.
