Adriana is a great instructor! She’s knowledgeable and intentional in her coaching style. The class was challenging and her approach made it rewarding. Additionally, she is pleasant and professional! I haven’t attended a class in a while. Her hands on approach and steady verbal encouragement to the class throughout were added and welcome bonuses! Overall a 10 out of 10 experience. I definitely recommend taking one her classes no matter what level.

Great class and instructor! The studio was warmer than preferred. Especially with how humid the weather has been. I appreciate the couple space air conditioners placed but the class had a mild odor that was off-putting. Perhaps a deep-clean is needed?

This was the most amazing class I’ve had in the past three months since I haven’t really been consistent with coming in there, but she was so vibrant. Taylor is such an incredible coach with the best playlists. I went to her for starter classes and she’s half the reason I’ve continued- just had my 25th class. She’s especially great for beginners- there’s always 1 or 2 in a class and she makes sure that she explains things clearly- helpful for me as I’m still learning the best form for everything! Highly recommend beginners taking her starter and foundation classes!

I been to a few studios now and solid core is my favorite. The space is clean and love the black and blue theme. I been to about 10 classes and my favorite instructor is Kendall. From her beginners classes to her advance ones, she really helps the students. I am no where advanced but she always helped me and knows when I am struggling. I try to take her class if I can.

She stayed nearby with every new cue and spring change to make sure I got it & offered hands on adjustments which I really appreciate! Her music was on point, she was warm & welcoming, and her cues were clear — would recommend for a newbie or seasoned reformer class-taker!

First timer in this class and let me just say.. I loved it! You walk out feeling so accomplished and strong. I really like slow and controlled movements yet the pace was fast and fun. Music playlist was upbeat which definitely matters when pushing yourself. I will definitely be back.

Kassandra was incredible— welcoming, thorough, and her cues were on point. The vibe of the class was awesome, from the Taylor greeting at the door to the music and the dark lights. The only reason I removed a star was because the mic and sound was terrible. It was so so muffled that it was REALLY hard to understand what the instructor was saying. There was a lot of “what did she say?” & looking around the room to see what others were doing. Otherwise, great challenging full body workout to switch up the routine!

I was travelling through NYC on an intro offer and all of your coaches were AMAZING! They took the time to chat before, because I was new to lagree they offered to change my springs for me which is something i’ve never experienced in London! The studio has a cool, dark, nightclub vibe, and the instructor was energetic, motivating, and very clear with instructions. Staff were welcoming too. I was confused which is probably my fault for not taking the intro class before this one but I had taken other Pilates reformer classes so I thought that would be enough to get me through. The workout was definitely challenging. The instructor was helpful to me throughout the class with changing springs in the machine, position alternatives, etc. I’m not sure if I’m a fan of solidcore studio/class in general (I.e blue lights, loud music etc) but plan to try another class

I was welcomed by the front desk staff the moment I walked in! She showed me the studio and told me where everything was. The studio was clean with a good vibe. Coach Sophia was so welcoming and helpful. She gave Great verbal and hands-on cues, which were very helpful, especially for my first time.

Adriana was so kind and supportive. She made an effort to learn and remember everyone’s name and was very thorough in explaining how everything goes and worked at a nice pace. This was my first time at Solidcore and it was very challenging but I will 100% be back.

I tried Solidcore for the first time via Classpass. It's about 14-18 points on the app to take the class. Quite pricey. If you want to pay for a drop-in session, expect to shell out $35-45, depending on location or $79 for 2 week unlimited trial. It's all quite steep. Most people get memberships for package deals. This type of fitness is probably for the affluent. But I was curious to try it, as I've always heard good things - from friends raving about their summer abs to Michelle Obama's ringing endorsement to achieve her famous toned arms. Sign me up! If it's your first time, the app recommends trying an "Intro" or "Foundations" course, so you can understand the basic movements and get comfortable with their machines, which remind me of pilates reformers. You use their pulley systems for resistance as you pull/push against them. Almost like a torture device, but in a good way! Since all the machines are spaced together in a row, it's hard to see the teacher demonstrate the movements. But they're known to turn up the mic really loud here, so you can hear the instructions booming across the room. We worked on our abs - doing moving planks and side obliques. Then moved on to hips and glutes, feeling the burn through "fire hydrants" and dynamic lunges. To close the class, we did some arm strengthening exercises. It's a full body workout. You'll hear the instructors say that it's common to get the "shakes" during the class - that point when your muscles are trembling to hold the poses tight, as the lactic acid courses through your blood stream. It hurts so good! The exercises remind me of barre, pilates and weight training all in one. The instructor came around once or twice to help us with our form. It would be great if we could get even more of that 1-to-1 attention because each person was so new to the class. Some movements felt off to me and I couldn't tell if I was doing it correctly. There is a lot of commotion and moving parts in that 50 minutes, which went by quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed how challenging and strenuous the class is! You feel so accomplished when you finish. As for the space itself - this Solidcore location is teeny tiny! You might miss it if you're walking. I wonder if other Solidcore locations are bigger. But here, you'll have to dodge people going in and out of class and it's a little hard to get a breather in the hallway. There was also only 1 working bathroom when we went, so a lined formed. You also have to squeeze by people to get to the locker space - a little annoying in the winter, as you're bumbling around with your big puffer coat on. Overall, it's still a great experience. I hope to check out other locations as I work on my Michele Obama arms!

But i didn’t like how the music was too loud and i couldn’t really hear what the instructor was saying. I love how hands on Lauren is. She knows when to push and when not to and I appreciate that. She was incredibly patient and kind in her teaching but the workout was still extremely challenging. One thing I will say is the music was not my favorite but when else will I get a chance to listen to Taylor swift remixes? It's not that big of a deal and it made me chuckle being in pain with that playlist just blasting in the background. I highly recommend Lauren if you want a great workout with a friendly coach!

Instructor was fun and upbeat! It was definitely a thought class. A good challenge! My first time in solid core. I wish I knew we would be using a reformer and needed grip socks otherwise you will do the class barefoot. I know they claim is not Pilates but it felt like Pilates at least the intro class did. You need to download the solid core app to find out what muscles groups will be focused on since class pass does not show it.

It was my first time trying solidcore and I can say it was challenging but Mia my coach was absolutely amazing!! She helped me correct my form and assisted with changing the machine. Definitely will be coming back. When you enter you would just input code from your app and then there's a coat rack and lockers if you wanted to put your things. They check you in at the front and. The coach also walks around to introduce herself and just gets herself acquainted with everyone.

I finally took my first Solidcore class today! I’ll admit I was nervous because I’ve always heard how challenging it is, so I actually took 7 Lagree classes elsewhere to prepare and it definitely helped. Gabriele, the instructor, was amazing! She was super friendly, explained everything so clearly, and made sure to help me with my form and modifications throughout the class. I really appreciated how hands-on and encouraging she was. Now I totally understand why people are obsessed with these workouts. it’s tough, but in the best way. I’ll definitely be going back! 💪✨

I never felt like I had eyes on me or like I was being judged, I appreciated that the instructor also had everyone introduce themselves, creating a sense of community. Solidcore Mosaic is such a great studio! The classes are consistently challenging--expect to shake, sweat, and feel muscles you didn't know you had. The coaches are super encouraging and do a great job guiding you through the slow, controlled movements that make Solidcore so effective. The Mosaic location is also a huge plus. There's ample parking in the garage, and it's free for a few hours, which makes getting in and out stress-free. After class, you're right in the heart of Mosaic District with tons of great spots to grab a smoothie, coffee, or a full meal--perfect for a post-workout reward. Highly recommend this location for both the workout and the convenient, lively atmosphere around it!

I absolutely love Solidcore. I signed up for their 2 week unlimited welcome offer and have been hooked ever since. I love the coaches in the Mosaic location (I haven't been to other locations). I am a total beginner to pilates-like classes and the reformer machine. I took ~3 foundation classes to get started and I felt like the instructors were all so great at helping me improve my form to get the best workout possible. I feel pushed but not shamed into challenging myself. They sell towels and water if you happen to forget to bring either. I feel like a sweat a mild-moderate amount and I don't think a towel is absolutely necessary. Water is probably a good idea - but the class is pretty fast-paced so not a ton of time for water breaks anyway. Now that I'm hooked, I typically do ~2 classes/week. I like the early AM classes (but they fill up fast!). I feel like this gym is clean and compact. I get exactly what I need out of it. There aren't showers so plan accordingly if you have plans afterwards (it's a good sweat!) I like their Public Goods toiletries and have even bought some myself after using them at this gym. Awesome location, awesome coaches, and awesome workout :)!

Took my first class and though my body hurts, it's really good! I won't lie, this is not a cheap exercise method nor a cheap Studio, but it is worth the cost. So far I've only done starter reformer Pilates, classes; still building my strength but this was the best intro class to a reformer that I ever had. The structure was friendly but detailed and we still got work out in though is for beginners. The Streeterville location is very clean, easily located to transportation and right next to movie theater lol. I'll definitely be back but hopefully I'll be stronger and can try other classes.

The structure was friendly but detailed and we still got work out in though is for beginners.

The Streeterville location is very clean, easily located to transportation and right next to movie theater lol.
I'll definitely be back but hopefully I'll be stronger and can try other classes.

This is fairly a new location of Solidcore Pilates studio that has opened very recently in Streeterville. You can take Pilates classes anywhere in Chicago, but the staff and vibe of this studio is absolutely unparalleled. All of these I have appreciated, but the way that [solidcore] has shaken up my routine and jumpstarted me into finding a new kind of strength and mental fortitude is unmatched. I've been raving to this unexpected addition to my very busy life to so many friends and family members, several of them have tried classes and also gotten memberships. As others have surely said, the classes are hard and will remain so. I think the point is that your mind/body connection will be tested every visit, and the coaches do emphasize that 1) it's difficult, 2) the fact that you are here says something about you, and 3) you can and should shake it out when needed. I've discovered a strange love for slowly focusing on my obliques, which also might be the type of targeted exercise I hate more than any other. I've discovered that when I'm facing difficult things in my daily life, taking a class the morning I am nervous about something will set me up to know that I can take on anything else that comes my way that day. A bit more: the movements are extremely slow, and this workout is low impact, so great for anyone with knee issues. They focus on form and the classes are small enough that you can always ask for extra assists in that regard. You'll be lined up in one long row and you are mostly either looking at yourself in the mirror or focusing on a focal point somewhere below you. Lights are low and music is turned up. It's a whole vibe. Again, NOT my typical type of movement practice but it has been so good for me. The space was clean, they have lockers with combo locks you set yourself that are free to use when you walk in. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Before class the instructor came over to introduce herself, give me basic instructions and showed me how the machine and springs work. The music was great, energy was good throughout the class. I usually had no idea what was going on so I copied the people around me, and the instructor came by often to check on me. Overall, the studio and instructor were great. no solidcore in the bay area (only socal for now booo) so i was ecstatic to try it out while in the east coast. their sweat lanas are very similar to a megaformer, except there are less handles and no nooks & crannies to hold on to or nest your foot into when doing various moves. also if you rely on a balance rod be aware you will have to get off the sweat lana and grab it lol (its pretty inconvenient when youre transitioning). if youre a sweaty kween like me, bring a gym towel to wipe in between moves i found my instructor really helpful even tho there she wasnt demonstrating on a machine. she was able to walk around and pay special attention to those who needed it; she provided adjustments and an extra hand which i super appreciated. i took one star off because its super cramped around the check in /locker room area but im assuming all east coast locations are like this in a major city. also if youre sensitive to loud music take advantage of the earplugs they have at the front desk (or bring your own). barrys boot camp is outrageously loud too... if you can understand what the instructors are explaining over the loud music, props to you! i hope they open more locations in the west coast; i would be inclined to try more classes out

I’m new to SolidCore but am so in. The workouts are insane and make me sore in the best way. Also, the instructors have all been great. Laura keeps it fun, makes me laugh (double ab workout), and has a great balance of pushing us to do our best, but also acknowledging everyone’s level and ability. Good job!

I really liked this studio space as it seemed a little quieter and less crowded, compared to other solidcore locations I have visited thus far. It is located right behind the Holland Tunnel, on a quiet stretch of Hudson St. If you are coming from the train station, I would recommend you take Dominick St as Broome St is closed off. I've been going to Solidcore for quite long now through Classpass. I usually go to Reston location but there was a discount, so I tried Mosaic location. I tried this studio first time during pandemic and second time on 4/17. I really love Solidcore, but I have no idea what happened to this studio after pandemic. This studio used to be clean and perfect in everyway, but when I visited recently, it was very stuffy and no air circulation whatsoever. The temperature in the studio is wayyy high that I almost felt no oxygen. The workout itself is pretty tough, so the temperature can affect you a lot. It was way too hot in the studio that it almost felt like I was in hot yoga and it can possibly give you heat shock. I almost wanted to give 3 stars, but at least the instructors became more informative than before. They show you forms and adjust your forms and give you pretty nice encouragement, but again they gotta work on their studio before someone passes out.

I was sore for a few days after each workout. This is by far the most challenging thing I have ever tried, but now I'm hooked! Joined 3 weeks ago and I can't believe it took me this long to try this place out. It's very intimate and the coaches are all so motivating and helpful. I really enjoy this workout and how different it is from anything else I've tried, slow movements but big results, you will be drenched in sweat after one class, I also love all the motivating quotes on the floor and walls such a nice touch. I am already seeing a difference in my body - Try this place out!

I have always been a runner and a HIIT person but my first class at this Solidcore changed my life! The workout was the most challenging yet rewarding workout I have ever done. The coaches are so patient and motivating for all the people in the class and do such a wonderful job of complimenting people. I love this newer location of Solidcore. I'm fairly active and try to integrate all sorts of training (free weights, heavy lifting, cycling, pilates, etc. etc.), but Solidcore is always the challenge of all challenges. You are guaranteed to be sore the next day, not matter what the focused body area is for the workout of that day. I physically cannot do the workout more than 3-4 times at the absolute maximum a week because of how effective it is. The type of resistance you get from the machines and workout here are unparalleled. I think there's a perception that pilates is easy because it's low impact. If you or any of your friends think that, I highly suggest they try reformer pilates, specifically at Solidcore. It's like the Barry's of pilates (lol). It is a bootcamp style class with very upbeat music in a dark setting. I love how spacious, clean and new this location is. As always, the teachers are incredible. They really push you without making you feel uncomfortable/bad.

The type of resistance you get from the machines and workout here are unparalleled.

I think there's a perception that pilates is easy because it's low impact. If you or any of your friends think that, I highly suggest they try reformer pilates, specifically at Solidcore. It's like the Barry's of pilates (lol). It is a bootcamp style class with very upbeat music in a dark setting.

I love how spacious, clean and new this location is. As always, the teachers are incredible. They really push you without making you feel uncomfortable/bad.

So people are not exaggerating when they say it's the hardest workout they've ever done. It was really really hard! My typical workout routine consists of lifting as heavy as possible and some yoga. That did not prepare me at all for solidcore! I would not have gotten through it without Amelia's encouragement. She was so good and supportive!

Found this on class pass and tried it because I was looking for something to change up the routine. I would be considered somewhat of a workout junkie and this class was everything I was looking for. If you're beginner or advanced and are looking for a workout that will tone and strengthen in a way that's humbling this is for you. The studio was clean, I've been 3 times now and every instructor has been great and the music and lighting make it more fun and less intimidating than a regular Pilates class where everyone can see and hear you. I love it here. I have tried it all, even personal training, and have found this to be the single most effective thing that I have tried. I was hesitant to spend the money- it is a financial commitment- but I think it's worth it for someone seeking a high level of challenge and progress. This is not a "fitness class"- it issmall group coaching (max 12 people). This is a well planned workout with precise techniques, individual coaching and instruction and periodization (check the muscle focus calendar on the Solidcore website). This is for you if: -you have tried many, many workout classes, and are looking for better results -you are prepared to listen carefully to instructions -you like to be pushed to your limits -you enjoy precise, slow and mindful movements and a significant focus on form -you are prepared to stick with it for atleast five classes before assessing so that you fully understand the nuances -you like to have scheduled "appointments" or times for your workouts in order to be consistent. (SC has a lot of convenient times) -you like privacy during your workout. (The studio is pretty dark, and machines are positioned so that people are looking directly forward at themselves.) -you don't have more than one hour a day for fitness and need to make it as effective and full body as possible -you like to have your own area during fitness classes with all the equipment right there. This is *not* for you if: -you like to zone out when you exercise -you want an intense cardio workout -you are seeking max calorie burn to "undo" dietary "splurges". You probably will not burn as many calories as a spin or OTF class. By far the most pain for your buck of any boutique fitness studio. And I mean that as a compliment. I have always been a cardio junkie, and could never find a workout that gave me the same endorphin buzz as a spin class until Solid Core. I actually have never taken a regular pilates class, but have been told that this is basically Pilates on steroids. For fifty minutes you go through a series of strength and balance exercises, focusing on the core, while on a pilates type machine that may be called a "mega former". It is challenging, yet adaptable to every level. The goal is to get the "shakes" by exhausting your muscle fibers. I have seen progress in a palpable way that I have never seen from a purely cardio class, and that is motivating in itself. Finally, the customer service and quality of coaching is amazing and the studio is clean, smells good, and has a cool look. My only complaint, which is not enough to remove a star, is that they don't have showers. That is an overall Solidcore policy, but it is annoying in that it limits the class times I can attend with work starting at 9:00. Then again, it is so nice to have a strength workout so intense that I actually need to shower afterward.

INTENSE WORKOUT. Solidcore is pilates with the intensity of a bootcamp. The instructors bounce from one move to the next so try to follow your classmates. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who has never been on a reformer. The studio is modern and clean but there are no showers. Go before work at your own risk because you will definitely sweat. I included a photo of the entrance because the front door is covered by the decal and you can ignore that touch pad.

i freaking love this place. i was so obsessed from day 1. super friendly staff, awesome coaches and clean studio! also i've been going through some personal stuff and they were so accommodating and understanding. it made me feel like they really care about me as a person and not just a customer. i highly recommend this studio!!!!

 
Solidcore Mosaic is such a great studio! The classes are consistently challenging--expect to shake, sweat, and feel muscles you didn't know you had. The coaches are super encouraging and do a great job guiding you through the slow, controlled movements that make Solidcore so effective.

The Mosaic location is also a huge plus.
There's ample parking in the garage, and it's free for a few hours, which makes getting in and out stress-free. After class, you're right in the heart of Mosaic District with tons of great spots to grab a smoothie, coffee, or a full meal--perfect for a post-workout reward.

Highly recommend this location for both the workout and the convenient, lively atmosphere around it!

 
I absolutely love Solidcore. I signed up for their 2 week unlimited welcome offer and have been hooked ever since. I love the coaches in the Mosaic location (I haven't been to other locations). I am a total beginner to pilates-like classes and the reformer machine. I took ~3 foundation classes to get started and I felt like the instructors were all so great at helping me improve my form to get the best workout possible. I feel pushed but not shamed into challenging myself.

They sell towels and water if you happen to forget to bring either.
I feel like a sweat a mild-moderate amount and I don't think a towel is absolutely necessary. Water is probably a good idea - but the class is pretty fast-paced so not a ton of time for water breaks anyway.

Now that I'm hooked, I typically do ~2 classes/week.
I like the early AM classes (but they fill up fast!). I feel like this gym is clean and compact. I get exactly what I need out of it. There aren't showers so plan accordingly if you have plans afterwards (it's a good sweat!) I like their Public Goods toiletries and have even bought some myself after using them at this gym.

Awesome location, awesome coaches, and awesome workout :)!

 
Excellent workout with no impact on joints, but the second stage muscle failure will leave you sore for days.

 
I've been going to Solidcore for quite long now through Classpass. I usually go to Reston location but there was a discount, so I tried Mosaic location. I tried this studio first time during pandemic and second time on 4/17.

I really love Solidcore, but I have no idea what happened to this studio after pandemic.
This studio used to be clean and perfect in everyway, but when I visited recently, it was very stuffy and no air circulation whatsoever. The temperature in the studio is wayyy high that I almost felt no oxygen. The workout itself is pretty tough, so the temperature can affect you a lot. It was way too hot in the studio that it almost felt like I was in hot yoga and it can possibly give you heat shock.

I almost wanted to give 3 stars, but at least the instructors became more informative than before.
They show you forms and adjust your forms and give you pretty nice encouragement, but again they gotta work on their studio before someone passes out.

 
This is by far the most challenging thing I have ever tried, but now I'm hooked! Joined 3 weeks ago and I can't believe it took me this long to try this place out. It's very intimate and the coaches are all so motivating and helpful. I really enjoy this workout and how different it is from anything else I've tried, slow movements but big results, you will be drenched in sweat after one class, I also love all the motivating quotes on the floor and walls such a nice touch. I am already seeing a difference in my body - Try this place out!

 
I have always been a runner and a HIIT person but my first class at this Solidcore changed my life! The workout was the most challenging yet rewarding workout I have ever done. The coaches are so patient and motivating for all the people in the class and do such a wonderful job of complimenting people. I could not give this place a higher recommendation if you are looking for a good workout!
