Took my first Solidcore class this morning — Focus 50 with Rachel — and got a much-needed glute whoopin’ to kick off the day. Rachel was incredibly welcoming and made sure I knew how to use the equipment before class started. She guided me throughout the class and gave great pointers (so for anyone saying instructors leave you on your own — not my experience at all!). Highly recommend if you’re ready to shake, sweat, and maybe question your life choices halfway through. 💪🔥

I finally took my first Solidcore class today! I’ll admit I was nervous because I’ve always heard how challenging it is, so I actually took 7 Lagree classes elsewhere to prepare and it definitely helped. Gabriele, the instructor, was amazing! Love coming to soildcore because it's so challenging and the instructors really give you a good work out. I believe this location is fairly new so everything looks clean but the studio itself is pretty small. This studio location has a lot of availability for classes especially for class pass users like me. I would recommend any Pilates lovers to come here.

Got to visit this studio last month as my home studio is Santana Row. Love the location near the Marina, has shop and restaurants u can walk to. Parking can be difficult as u need to find street parking but i think it depends what time of day. The studio feels newer than Santana, has lockers (tho they are more shallow) and no vanity outside u can do ur hair at but they do have 2 big bathrooms u can use which is nice. The workout room inside is the layout where it's one row with alot of machines which i'd never experienced before. My coach Sydney and she was very well spoken and upbeat and her playlist was fire!! She offered adjustments and i really enjoyed the class! I will def be back to maybe bring a friend and hang out in the Marina area afterwards!

I had a great time trying out solidcore at this location. I love that they send you a code so you're able to access the studio and that the space is clean. The instructor was extremely welcoming, as this was my first time on the machine. The instructors encourage slow movements and shaking from your smaller muscles putting in the work. If you're thinking of trying out a solidcore class, I definitely recommend the H street location!

Lol this workout is SO HARD, but I also think it's very worthwhile. I like Solidcore because the classes so by relatively quickly, and once you've gone a few times, you have a general idea of what to expect. I took a class today with Mia and thought she was great. I've also had Jenn at this location, and she was fabulous, too, especially for one of the beginner classes that I tried. Try this out (and don't be afraid to take the modifications!)

A great experience for a first timer.

Let's start with the basics, parking was easy and convenient (free too for anyone unfamiliar with the area).
The young lady at the check in desk was very sweet. They have lockers positioned in the front, which is convenient for you to put your things in there. They sell water and energy drinks if needed. The studio is very clean and very well kept as well.

Amanda was my instructor and what a joy she was.
I was very nervous as it was my first time taking a Pilates class. Not to mention , I signed up (unbeknownst to me at the time) one of the harder classes. I thought to myself, yikes! Maybe I should come back to a beginner's level class. But Amanda was so encouraging, and informed me I could modify some movements, and she mentioned that she would position me near some folks who are pretty seasoned and would be able to help if I needed some guidance.

I didn't know exactly what I was expecting, but that class kicked every ounce of my butt, but in the same breath, I will also say it's probably the best workout I have ever done.
I worked parts of my body that I didn't even know existed lol! There were so many moments throughout the class that I thought to myself... Can I make it through? But Amanda was right there cheering me on and motivating me every moment of the way.

This definitely exceeded my expectations for a first time Pilates experience.
As difficult as the workout was for me... I made it through :) and since I was so proud that I did, I booked myself another class next week.

I have to give another kudos to Amanda, I think having the right instructor when it comes to any workout class, plays a big part on your ability to push yourself through.

Everyone here was so friendly especially for new clients. If you haven't done Solidcore before, I suggest taking the Foundations class first. These classes are very challenging and you will be sore the next day. The only thing I don't like about this location is no one answers the phone or gives you a call back. And the cancellation policy for Solidcore is very strict. If you cancel within 10 hours of the class, they will charge you $35. Rarely, I have work emergencies, but have to cancel. The classes fill up so fast so you have to book in advance.

Took my first class and though my body hurts, it's really good! I won't lie, this is not a cheap exercise method nor a cheap Studio, but it is worth the cost. So far I've only done starter reformer Pilates, classes; still building my strength but this was the best intro class to a reformer that I ever had. The structure was friendly but detailed and we still got work out in though is for beginners.

The Streeterville location is very clean, easily located to transportation and right next to movie theater lol.
I'll definitely be back but hopefully I'll be stronger and can try other classes.

This is fairly a new location of Solidcore Pilates studio that has opened very recently in Streeterville. You can take Pilates classes anywhere in Chicago, but the staff and vibe of this studio is absolutely unparalleled. I had taken Pilates at their Rivernorth location back in 2022 and seemed to have found the class very challenging without proper guidance.

My friends brought me to this studio a few weeks ago.
I was intimidated to try the class given my past experience but this time, I booked Full Body beginners class with Lauren. The staff and the coach was truly exceptional. She gave me a quick guided tour, explained everything about the Pilates machine like reformer, cadillac, straps, how to adjust the equipment for different exercises. It def made me feel comfortable. Lauren's class was wonderful. She was patient and gave time to explore every impact movements. Even though the music was loud, her instructions were clear.

The studio has very structured routines.
Their workouts focus on the core stability that targets specific muscle group. I will keep going for Full Body Pilates slowly moving to the advance classes.

For people who are new to Pilates and/or scared to try such a "Bougie" studio - don't be!
This place is welcoming to all and great place to start your Pilates journey!

Took a class on a whim after meaning to try [solidcore] for years, and I have been hooked ever since. Completely different from any other type of workout I've ever done -- including weight lifting, yoga, barre, boot camp-style classes. All of these I have appreciated, but the way that [solidcore] has shaken up my routine and jumpstarted me into finding a new kind of strength and mental fortitude is unmatched. I've been raving to this unexpected addition to my very busy life to so many friends and family members, several of them have tried classes and also gotten memberships.

As others have surely said, the classes are hard and will remain so.
I think the point is that your mind/body connection will be tested every visit, and the coaches do emphasize that 1) it's difficult, 2) the fact that you are here says something about you, and 3) you can and should shake it out when needed. I've discovered a strange love for slowly focusing on my obliques, which also might be the type of targeted exercise I hate more than any other. I've discovered that when I'm facing difficult things in my daily life, taking a class the morning I am nervous about something will set me up to know that I can take on anything else that comes my way that day.

A bit more: the movements are extremely slow, and this workout is low impact, so great for anyone with knee issues.
They focus on form and the classes are small enough that you can always ask for extra assists in that regard. You'll be lined up in one long row and you are mostly either looking at yourself in the mirror or focusing on a focal point somewhere below you. Lights are low and music is turned up. It's a whole vibe. Again, NOT my typical type of movement practice but it has been so good for me. And I have gotten stronger physically, but the mind/body grit I've gained is what I really want to emphasize.

Thanks to all the coaches and everyone who set me up along the way!

First time trying solidcore! I tagged along with a friend who is a regular in their classes so I didn't really know what to expect.

The space was clean, they have lockers with combo locks you set yourself that are free to use when you walk in.
Bathrooms were clean and well stocked.

Before class the instructor came over to introduce herself, give me basic instructions and showed me how the machine and springs work.

The music was great, energy was good throughout the class.
I usually had no idea what was going on so I copied the people around me, and the instructor came by often to check on me.

Overall, the studio and instructor were great.
If you're looking for a Pilates studio in the area, this is a great spot.

I’m new to SolidCore but am so in. The workouts are insane and make me sore in the best way. Also, the instructors have all been great. Laura keeps it fun, makes me laugh (double ab workout), and has a great balance of pushing us to do our best, but also acknowledging everyone’s level and ability. Good job!

no solidcore in the bay area (only socal for now booo) so i was ecstatic to try it out while in the east coast.

their sweat lanas are very similar to a megaformer, except there are less handles and no nooks & crannies to hold on to or nest your foot into when doing various moves.
also if you rely on a balance rod be aware you will have to get off the sweat lana and grab it lol (its pretty inconvenient when youre transitioning). if youre a sweaty kween like me, bring a gym towel to wipe in between moves

i found my instructor really helpful even tho there she wasnt demonstrating on a machine.
she was able to walk around and pay special attention to those who needed it; she provided adjustments and an extra hand which i super appreciated.

i took one star off because its super cramped around the check in /locker room area but im assuming all east coast locations are like this in a major city.
also if youre sensitive to loud music take advantage of the earplugs they have at the front desk (or bring your own). barrys boot camp is outrageously loud too... if you can understand what the instructors are explaining over the loud music, props to you!

i hope they open more locations in the west coast; i would be inclined to try more classes out

I really liked this studio space as it seemed a little quieter and less crowded, compared to other solidcore locations I have visited thus far. It is located right behind the Holland Tunnel, on a quiet stretch of Hudson St. If you are coming from the train station, I would recommend you take Dominick St as Broome St is closed off.

The size of the studio space is quite large as I did not have to worry about bumping into machines or my classmates during class (which is sadly not the case for all studio locations in the city). The sweatlana machines are fairly new too-- I did not notice the leather straps or white printing deteriorating on the machines.

There are some cool lockers with USB outlets which you can use to charge your phones, which I have not seen in any other solidcore studio before. I will say, however, that this studio smells like stinky feet. I'm not sure why or how, but it is something you will notice immediately upon entering the studio.

I had my first class on Monday & Adriana our Instructor did a great job for newbies such as myself. Her pre-class instructions were clear which made following her quick prompts during class easier to navigate.

Over the past week, the additional classes I took had the same great & some intense Instructors with the same objective of pushing you to finish strong. One Instructor had me say a few choice words to myself after class, yet all with love & light. & only after the next day of recovery - LOL. The encouraging emails after your class simply rock...or should I say glide?

I give myself a B- for showing up & returning with no shame in taking breaks during class to recalibrate my lower back/core, hence why I'm here.

Agreed that the membership prices are a little steep. However, the 2 Week Unlimited offer is the right opportunity to learn a new fitness regime & boost your overall health before making any commitments.

Regardless of which Instructor is at the front desk everyone is welcoming & engaging while motivating you not to walk out the door - *smile*.

Very good client service across the "Sweatlana" board.

Took my first beginner class. I learned so much about the reformer and what to expect in a faster pace Pilates class. The ladies at this facility were super nice and willing to answer any questions. I look forward to progressing in my Pilates journey here.

Sam L. Is the best at verbal instruction with an impeccable attention to detail to boot. She tells you what you're doing wrong half a second before you do it so there is no excuse for forgetting what you are supposed to be doing. Highly recommend!

Been coming here for 3 months now! Love all the coaches! They are super friendly, upbeat, and helpful with fixing incorrect form on the reformers. Such an intense yet fun workout!

This is exactly what I was looking for outside of my weekly gym workouts. I love the various classes they offer through the app. It's a slow pace class, room is dark with dark blue lights, music is loud and the instructors talk the whole time and will help correct your form. The studio offer plenty of lockers, change room, and bathroom. Although you can put your stuff under the reformer. I give one less star because the music is way too loud for me, especially since I like going 2-3days/week. They do offer free disposal ear plugs but I bring my own. I personally love taking classes with instructor Jada- she has great taste in music and takes the time to show almost every movement during class. If you are new, come to class early and the instructors will show you how to use their reformer and what moves to expect during class. Better yet, take their foundations class first.

Solidcore is SO fun! I've only attended 2 classes so far but I love it! Tye best part is that anyone at any level can attend because they adjust strength level on the machine.

This cute studio is in the heart of H street. The workout itself is fast paced with no breaks. I thought I was fit/in shape until I took two of these classes.

The workout was really challenging!!! I was sore for a few days after each workout.

I wish there were classes for beginners simply because the instructor speaks really fast and if you're not comfortable with the space and equipment you will be looking around to see what everyone else is doing.

It's definitely worth a try if you feel you are fit. They have really good specials on their website. I was able to take 2 classes for $40. Unfortunately that was enough for me :(

Solidcore is located in the Publix shopping center. There's plenty of parking.

Prices are a bit steep for a membership. They do offer discounts for healthcare professors, and you can easily find classes off ClassPass.

These classes are intense and are worth every penny. I love the workout I get from these classes. They offer plenty of classes throughout the day and so many trainers. I wouldn't recommend these workouts for people starting out but for more advanced athletes. You can literally feel the shakes from your muscles and feel the workout even days after.

The clean space provides all the necessities from hair ties to dry shampoo.

Love this place!

I have been taking Lagree classes in Atlanta for the last 6 years and this by far is my favorite studio! Amazing workout and down to earth staff members. Get ready to be challenged. They are the absolute best.

This class showed me that I have no muscle mass post quarantine. Great energy, Carmine was awesome 💪

I encourage all fitness enthusiasts to check out Solidcore! Starting Pilates here has been a total game changer and I definitely feel like my core has gotten stronger after just a few classes. It’s the most intense low impact workout I’ve ever done in my life, and I walk out of each class feeling amazing. Jacob is an amazing instructor. He’s full of energy, passionate, kind, and will help walk you through the motions as a beginner.

I've been coming to Solidcore for some time now - but this is my first time to this particular studio. This DC Solidcore studio is slightly smaller than most I've been in and has some pillars and random places, but otherwise is super clean and spacious just like most others.

As far as the workout, it's a new muscle focus for upper (shoulders, chest, back, arm wrap) and lower body (outer thighs, inner thighs, center glutes, outer glutes, leg wrap) each day, and two other mainstays: center core and obliques. Some class formats may differ. But you'll work hard no matter what. This is a difficult workout! But it's worth It!

I took Coach David R at 14th and U. He was great!

This class was SO fun and left me so sore the next day. I felt like it was such a great workout and not that difficult to pick up. Even as a first timer with little instruction I felt like I could keep up. The instructor was super funny and energetic. I was definitely pumped up as I was working out and the music was good. I seriously can barely walk up the stairs today.

I did the 50 minute full body class and the vast majority of the time was spent on abs and legs/butt. There were a few minutes left at the end for arms which is not my thing so I was glad it was only the tail end.

It's definitely an expensive class - I booked through ClassPass and it's about double the credits of similar studios. On top of that, there are no showers. I was also a little concerned that we were given a wipe at the end to wipe down our machines which didn't seem sufficient. Lastly, the studio was superrrr hot so I felt disgusting at the end and was sweating a ton.

With all of that said, I loved the class and will definitely be back!

I love this newer location of Solidcore. I'm fairly active and try to integrate all sorts of training (free weights, heavy lifting, cycling, pilates, etc. etc.), but Solidcore is always the challenge of all challenges. You are guaranteed to be sore the next day, not matter what the focused body area is for the workout of that day. I physically cannot do the workout more than 3-4 times at the absolute maximum a week because of how effective it is. The type of resistance you get from the machines and workout here are unparalleled.

I think there's a perception that pilates is easy because it's low impact. If you or any of your friends think that, I highly suggest they try reformer pilates, specifically at Solidcore. It's like the Barry's of pilates (lol). It is a bootcamp style class with very upbeat music in a dark setting.

I love how spacious, clean and new this location is. As always, the teachers are incredible. They really push you without making you feel uncomfortable/bad.

Really love Solid Core and this class was great. I was there on Sunday this week

Solid Core is excellent because they specialize in isokinetic muscle training. That means the emphasis is on burn out, muscle failure, and muscle building. Buyer beware -- because this class is so effective, you are bound to be sore the next day. Grab a Friday or Saturday class and be sure to get enough sleep the night after your workout. Hence the nickname, "Solid Sore." My abdominals are a real washboard at this point!!!!!!

I hope they expand class price options with the investments from Equinox -- something great so that all parties win. The company has a huge commitment to Black Lives Matter and the Me Too (Women's Rights) Movements, so I'm sure with all of that Equinox money they're going to be even better in the future. Equinox are you listening?

The 10 minute window before classes can be tough to navigate -- I was a few minutes late and the class started without me!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Conor and Alexis are just super! Very hard workout but if you stick to it, you can make it a routine!

So people are not exaggerating when they say it's the hardest workout they've ever done. It was really really hard!

My typical workout routine consists of lifting as heavy as possible and some yoga. That did not prepare me at all for solidcore!

I would not have gotten through it without Amelia's encouragement. She was so good and supportive!

Found this on class pass and tried it because I was looking for something to change up the routine.

I would be considered somewhat of a workout junkie and this class was everything I was looking for.

If you're beginner or advanced and are looking for a workout that will tone and strengthen in a way that's humbling this is for you.

The studio was clean, I've been 3 times now and every instructor has been great and the music and lighting make it more fun and less intimidating than a regular Pilates class where everyone can see and hear you.

I've signed up and purchased a few packages and can't wait to see what adding this into my routine.

I love it here. I have tried it all, even personal training, and have found this to be the single most effective thing that I have tried. I was hesitant to spend the money- it is a financial commitment- but I think it's worth it for someone seeking a high level of challenge and progress. This is not a "fitness class"- it issmall group coaching (max 12 people). This is a well planned workout with precise techniques, individual coaching and instruction and periodization (check the muscle focus calendar on the Solidcore website).

This is for you if:

-you have tried many, many workout classes, and are looking for better results

-you are prepared to listen carefully to instructions

-you like to be pushed to your limits

-you enjoy precise, slow and mindful movements and a significant focus on form

-you are prepared to stick with it for atleast five classes before assessing so that you fully understand the nuances

-you like to have scheduled "appointments" or times for your workouts in order to be consistent. (SC has a lot of convenient times)

-you like privacy during your workout. (The studio is pretty dark, and machines are positioned so that people are looking directly forward at themselves.)

-you don't have more than one hour a day for fitness and need to make it as effective and full body as possible

-you like to have your own area during fitness classes with all the equipment right there.

This is *not* for you if:

-you like to zone out when you exercise

-you want an intense cardio workout

-you are seeking max calorie burn to "undo" dietary "splurges". You probably will not burn as many calories as a spin or OTF class. Personally, I haven't had to up my calories significantly from SolidCore, but I have had the best results from this program.

-you cannot hold a plank for 60 seconds/ have a lower back injury that makes it painful to do so

-you are expecting a very high level of individual coaching/ corrections. The instructors do this to their best ability, but you will have to pay attention to the cues directed at the class and direct yourself to some extent. The instructor won't always be able to see if you are off roading.

If you want to get max value...

-look on the Solidcore website before class. There are videos and explanations of the basic moves.

-come to class 15 minutes early and ask for the demo, identify yourself as a newb.

-commit to 3x a week for a month, or try the new client package (rather than trying it once per week or irregularly, as it will be harder to learn the moves. Also, this is really a fitness program, not an "abs class")

-Check the Solidcore website/ muscle focus calendar to see what the classes will focus on and choose accordingly.

-the beginner spring loads are very heavy, at least for me. Don't be afraid to go lighter, do it from your knees or take a moment if your lower back hurts.

-really pay attention to the recommended range of motions (the white and blue lines.)

Just finished my third solidcore class this week... and it's safe to say I found my new addiction. I've heard great reviews about solidcore for years, but was too intimidated to sign up for a class. Boy, am I glad I got over that fear. It's a full body workout, focusing on core strength (think lots of planks) done on a modified pilates machine. However, the atmosphere and muscle failure shakes make this so much more challenging than your regular Pilates class. My first class, I was a bit lost (thinking "I have this body part?" And "what did the coach just say") but it gets better! I promise.

Take advantage of the new studio packages and class promotions. I highly recommend Emily Suttle's class and will definitely sign up for more. The studio is minimal--they provide hand towels, have lockers with built in locks, and the bathrooms are stocked with face wash, spray deodorant, dry shampoo, and hair ties but there's no showers. Pay attention to your sign up email because it contains a code to get in the door. The best way to communicate about questions is via email because there isn't a constantly manned front desk. Make sure to show up 15 mins early for your first class. If you're lucky, you can find free neighborhood street parking in the surrounding area.

By far the most pain for your buck of any boutique fitness studio. And I mean that as a compliment. I have always been a cardio junkie, and could never find a workout that gave me the same endorphin buzz as a spin class until Solid Core. I actually have never taken a regular pilates class, but have been told that this is basically Pilates on steroids. For fifty minutes you go through a series of strength and balance exercises, focusing on the core, while on a pilates type machine that may be called a "mega former". It is challenging, yet adaptable to every level. The goal is to get the "shakes" by exhausting your muscle fibers. I have seen progress in a palpable way that I have never seen from a purely cardio class, and that is motivating in itself. Finally, the customer service and quality of coaching is amazing and the studio is clean, smells good, and has a cool look. My only complaint, which is not enough to remove a star, is that they don't have showers. That is an overall Solidcore policy, but it is annoying in that it limits the class times I can attend with work starting at 9:00. Then again, it is so nice to have a strength workout so intense that I actually need to shower afterward.

Great exercise / great classes; have done most of the boutique fitness studios from OTF, Barry's, CPY, etc. -- Jacqueline is the BEST coach among all the fitness classes I've seen. Knows the exercises inside & out, runs a high energy/awesome class each and every time -- great studio!

INTENSE WORKOUT. Solidcore is pilates with the intensity of a bootcamp. The instructors bounce from one move to the next so try to follow your classmates. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who has never been on a reformer. The studio is modern and clean but there are no showers. Go before work at your own risk because you will definitely sweat. I included a photo of the entrance because the front door is covered by the decal and you can ignore that touch pad.
