Very great course for those who have not done reformer before (many breaks + explanations of the experience). However if you have never done solidcore but still have some experience on the machine I think it’s going to be a little too slow paced for you :)

Love Trish’s energy. She doesn’t just play the role of a coach but also, a BFF which keeps you wanting to take her class. Her playlist was fire today!

Sooooo good! So intense but if you consistently work out this will definitely challenge you much better than other pilates classes

Sydney was a phenomenal instructor! If it’s your first time, I highly recommend taking her class for your introduction to Solidcore. She makes sure you understand each movement and sets you up for success throughout the workout. Sydney creates such a warm, welcoming environment that makes everyone feel comfortable, no matter your fitness level! She offers modifications when needed, but also encourages you to push yourself, which made the class both challenging and rewarding. Her coaching style had me wanting to rebook instantly. Truly a gem!

Fun class, great instructor with great attention to form

One of my favorite Solidcore classes. The instructions were clear, and the movement was precise and slow instead of rushed. I hope the Solidcore in Roslyn can open more 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. classes. I hope I can take more classes with this instructor.

I took the Starter50 class with Jamal on Wednesday and absolutely loved it! As a beginner, I really appreciated how clear and detailed his instruction was—he explained exactly how to follow his cues, how to make each move more challenging, and offered great modifications for anyone dealing with injuries or tension. Jamal created such a supportive and motivating environment. I’m definitely coming back and can’t wait to take another one of his classes. Highly recommend for anyone new to Solidcore!

Free street parking on both side of the street every day, which is super convenient. The staff here are genuinely friendly and personable, and the space is clean and well kept with two bathrooms available. A code is required to enter the studio. I really enjoyed my workout and would definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again.

one of my favorite pilates studios in la!! really gives you a killer workout leaving me sweaty & shaky haha! instructors are usually pretty good about giving corrections and it's under the blue lights which i like better than class under regular lighting cus it's less intimidating. i especially love jordan & courtney's classes!!

So happy that this place finally opened, whe. I used to live in New York I would religiously go to this place. Now I can get back to building my abs again, plus my friend Brittany is close enough to this place we are able to do a girlfriend date here and then brunch around SM afterwards.

The classes and coaches are amazing. For first timers, I'd recommend doing at least 5 intro classes before doing the regular classes because it's dark, loud and scary and the first time I went, I did a regular classes and I was super discouraged. Then I did prolly 10 intro classes before I got the confidence and understanding to do the regular ones, and now I'm at 146 classes. I love it because the class is so intense, it forces you to lock in and shut your whole brain off. And you're working out muscles you've never thought of or would know how to exercise alone at the gym - so it's great for people who know nothing. I haven't been this in shape this great high school. There are locations everywhere and it's really convenient.

I will say, the studio itself has been a bit janky as of late.
One (out of the two) bathrooms is often out of service and same with the water station. And then there's no alternative for folks who didn't bring a full water bottle with them, which feels illegal for a place that's for working out to not have water. And the air conditioning must be broken because there is currently a massive contraption blowing air and it throws off the vibe in the class. Classes aren't cheap (and I have unlimited membership, which also isn't cheap) so the logistics need to step up...

Beyond excited there is finally a solidcore studio in the UWS! It's on the corner of 78th and Broadway-- right by the 79th St (1) station and a very quick walk from the 72nd St (1/2/3) station. The studio space is pretty long and narrow, but the bathrooms are spacious and clean. They even have Tower28 and Oribe available at the refresh station in the back! Just a note: machines are pretty close to one another and the entrance is a little cramped because the sweatlana is inches from the mirrored column.

Always a fan of solidcore. I tried this location out for the first time with Coach Nicole, one of the new instructors in training. She was very energetic, had good demos (which is refreshing because many of the non coach-in-training classes don't demo much)... the music was also very upbeat! The parking was also very easy too (validated for 90 min at the Avalon Building (enter on Bicknell) and avoid the hassle of street parking). There are two bathrooms in the studio, one water dispenser, and lockers/cubbies. No showers! Looking forward to taking more classes at SM!

First time here and had an amazing experience! I've never been to solidcore at all before and was also new to the reformers.

Neha was super helpful in helping me get set up and helpful with any adjustments that were needed!
Her energy is super friendly and welcoming. She was an instructor in training but it felt like she's been teaching forever!

My experience was really great!
The front desk employee was very nice too and gave me a tour of the studio. The facility was clean and modern. Parking is validated as well!

Definitely will be back!

Love her. My first 30 minute version of Solidcore and was kind of bummed when I realized I accidentally booked it, but that was the hardest 30 minutes of my life so she definitely made up for it. Would prefer to go back to a full length class though.

I have been a member of Old Town solidcore location for a year now and i love it! The coaches are so personable - I haven't attended a class I've disliked. Even after going to 50+ classes I still feel challenged & that i'm getting a good workout in. The studio used to be closer to Braddock Metro, but the new location has a better parking situation & the studio layout is less congested when waiting for class to start. Overall a great experience!!

Joined solidcore in Mid March and I'm hooked. Reading the reviews on here is too funny. Don't be late and complain about their policies. ALL of the trainers at the Tysons location are spot on, friendly, have such a upbeat vibe, and help you push yourself through class. I appreciated taking my first class with Shelby and her instruction of the intimidating sweatlana but once you hit a few classes you start getting more familiar with how your body moves and flows through class. The lights are low and the music is pumping! Parking is interesting during peak hours as the garage is limited with retail spaces due to a restaurant being in the shared highrise space but there is street parking out front too and worse case if all is full, go down one level and those spots with numbers are open according to the Nouvelle Concierge. See you in class!

Solidcore Mosaic is such a great studio! The classes are consistently challenging--expect to shake, sweat, and feel muscles you didn't know you had. The coaches are super encouraging and do a great job guiding you through the slow, controlled movements that make Solidcore so effective.

The Mosaic location is also a huge plus.
There's ample parking in the garage, and it's free for a few hours, which makes getting in and out stress-free. After class, you're right in the heart of Mosaic District with tons of great spots to grab a smoothie, coffee, or a full meal--perfect for a post-workout reward.

Highly recommend this location for both the workout and the convenient, lively atmosphere around it!

The absolute BEST and hardest/worth it workout! I never had abs until I started going to solidcore. It takes a month or two to build up strength to do the moves properly but it gets easier the more you do it. Location is great! Staff is amazing! There's an easy parking deck and they validate.

Amazing workout! Down 10 lbs. Coaches in Roslyn are so great and personable comparative to other solidcore locations. Updating because it has become very hard to book any classes at this location and the waitlist is full for weeks out.

Wow! I've tried Be Fit Pilates and Couer, and Solidcore has been by far the most challenging in great way. Everyone attending the class I took pretty much had six packs. It was very intimidating - but it didn't stop me from trying my hardest - with modifications, of course. My teacher Amanda M. was super nice. She didn't make me feel like I wasn't fit for her class. She corrected my form when needed. There's a good amount of reformers. The only thing that sucks is parking. There's only street metered parking from what I saw. Overall, I definitely would come back to take a class.

Great workout! I always love the format and coaches are always good about ensuring you have good form.

There's street parking here that can be a bit tricky but once the previous class is over some spots open up!

Doors only open 5mins before class so no need to be there too early.
Be sure to know the code (given once you sign up) or have the app to "unlock the door".

Smaller studio but still so perfect

I absolutely love Solidcore. I signed up for their 2 week unlimited welcome offer and have been hooked ever since. I love the coaches in the Mosaic location (I haven't been to other locations). I am a total beginner to pilates-like classes and the reformer machine. I took ~3 foundation classes to get started and I felt like the instructors were all so great at helping me improve my form to get the best workout possible. I feel pushed but not shamed into challenging myself.

They sell towels and water if you happen to forget to bring either.
I feel like a sweat a mild-moderate amount and I don't think a towel is absolutely necessary. Water is probably a good idea - but the class is pretty fast-paced so not a ton of time for water breaks anyway.

Now that I'm hooked, I typically do ~2 classes/week.
I like the early AM classes (but they fill up fast!). I feel like this gym is clean and compact. I get exactly what I need out of it. There aren't showers so plan accordingly if you have plans afterwards (it's a good sweat!) I like their Public Goods toiletries and have even bought some myself after using them at this gym.

Awesome location, awesome coaches, and awesome workout :)!

Lol this workout is SO HARD, but I also think it's very worthwhile. I like Solidcore because the classes so by relatively quickly, and once you've gone a few times, you have a general idea of what to expect. I took a class today with Mia and thought she was great. I've also had Jenn at this location, and she was fabulous, too, especially for one of the beginner classes that I tried. Try this out (and don't be afraid to take the modifications!)

Visited solidcore today to try out a workout in advance of going with a friend who works at one in another state. Let me tell you... my core is BURNING and I am so so sore in all the right ways! As someone who exercises daily and coaches fitness classes at various gyms, I thought I would be more prepared for this class. It was tough, but the instructor made sure to talk through and help with form and encourage the entire class.

Finding parking was fine for 9am on a Sunday, but seems like it would be difficult during more busy times.

The studio was small, with a tiny entranceway and then a hallway back to two bathrooms, lockers, and the studio.
The vibes were fantastic, the loud music and blue lights added to the experience.

The coach was great, she explained a few moves in advance and walked through the equipment.
As a fitness professional, it was nice to see her correct form and tell us that we had this!

Overall, it was a great class and would definitely whip you into shape!
I would love to go back more often if I didn't live 30+ minutes away, but might make the trip anyways!

I have been to this studio a handful of times now over the summer, and I am hooked. Each workout is intense-- and I consider myself a somewhat fit person. I love how you can customize each move to your level by modifying or amplifying. The instructors are extremely well trained in how they call out instructions and are very motivating. The instructors also aim to learn your name so they will refer to you during class, which keeps you more accountable! They validate parking for up to 75 min which is a huge perk as well. There are two restrooms that are well kept; no showers. There are also lockers and a water dispenser. I will definitely keep coming back to augment my other fitness routines!

I got the opportunity to complete my first class at the Alexandria location and it was amazing. We had a guest instructor today for the total body class and let me just say ... I am a former body builder and I do strength training 4-5 times a week - this was another level of muscle failure! 10/10 recommend. I told the instructor that it was my first time and she was with me every step of the way. The facility had lots of parking on the street and it was super clean.

One of my favorite workout places and I am so glad they are close by. No excuses! I've been here about 15 times via ClassPass and was always treated with kindness and respect. The class size is small (~12?) and the teachers are very motivating. All teachers equally assists students who need help and take the time out to learn your name.

The classes are hard.
I would first describe it as slow torture, lol. However, it is very effective. The class is 50 mins long and you don't even realize time is passing by. The room is kept dark/dim, the music is loud and the class is very fast-paced (active listening is a must!). I love this type of gym, but I understand it may not be for everyone.

They have a lot of classes throughout the day which works well for my flexible work schedule and as a working mom.
There is ample parking and the studio is clean. What are you waiting for? Me? I'm still afraid to commit to a monthly plan, but maybe one day.

Hardest Pilates class I've ever done. I'm tired of Pilates classes being too easy and this was just what i needed to kick my bum into shape. I am the most toned I've ever been!!

First time trying [solidcore] and loved it!! Although, I can only do like one class per week because I'm sore and dysfunctional for so many days in a row. I'm obsessed with any workout on a reformer, so this is perfect. Normally I don't like dark neon-lit gyms with loud music, but it was nice how clear the instructions were and how friendly the staff is. I really like this location, and it helps that I can now go with my friends who do this regularly!

I recently added Solidcore to my workout routine and on a trip with friends they screamed YOU HAVE A 6 PACK! I was confused. I've been doing random classes for a couple of years and I never noticed abs but I looked at myself and indeed there is some subtle but very clear muscle tone coming in. I credit Solidcore for getting me past a plateau and bringing tone into my whole body where I've never had it. I'm getting lots of compliments. I usually just take the beginner class because I get a little lost in the normal one but I'll move to the standard class soon. Hard workout, very worth it.

As a studio, the place is very clean. The staff always welcomes you when you walk in the door.

As a workout, I highly recommend Solidcore!
I am a physical therapist and love the attention to detail and adjustments the team at solidcore make during class. They pay attention to how you are performing each exercise and they are specific when giving instructions. In particular, they utilize their knowledge of anatomy and are able to use this to inform each movement on the mega-reformer.

I have taken 8 classes in 8 weeks to date and find myself stronger in many ways that I wasn't expecting!
For example, my running is faster and more powerful through each step, my swimming is faster, and I feel my core muscles turn on automatically when I go to do things like sit up in bed, lift heavy loads like groceries and boxes and toys. Not only that, my posture has improved and I find myself sitting upright naturally without having to be conscious about it. This is a class that you walk out of feeling proud and confident! I highly recommend!

I have been going to this location for over 2 years. Lately I've been more committed and I'm on my 18th week streak.

This studio is clean and comfortable.
The coaches here truly want to see you succeed and celebrate your milestones, such as hitting 50 classes and upping your spring load.

Each coach has their own style but the workouts are consistent.

I'm not going to lie, the workouts are tough!
I was dying Mr first class and I still feel that way from time to time.

But you'll see results - strength and toned is what will happen to you if you continue to work at it and stick with it.

I think you can find classes on class pass, but I book through the app since you can see your stats, plus a membership makes it more affordable.

I had previously tried out a lagree class in California after going to pilates for a while thinking it would be cake. It was not. After I moved to Alexandria, I decided I would try out solidcore and it did not disappoint. The workouts are absolute torture, but in a good way. I'm getting my butt kicked for 50 minutes and questioning my life decisions, but I leave feeling sore and amazing. I will definitely continue taking classes here. Fortunately, I have never had a hard time with booking classes and the instructors have all been awesome and good with making corrections to help me.

Good full body classes that will definitely get you in shape if you're committed. I definitely recommend trying some different coaches and seeing who you like best as everyone has a bit of their own style and personality. my favorite is instructor is Maya she is just the best &sweetest. Please please give her more classes and timeslots during the daytime :)

Fun class that I booked through ClassPass. The directions in Google maps were a bit confusing as it took you to the back of the studio, but eventually I figured it out. Street parking or garage is available. It said that you need an app to open the door but it didn't work - someone did let us in. There is a bathroom with some products but no shower available. The workout I took focused on upper body and core - the instructor gave us pointers throughout the class but it was definitely challenging for just beginners. You can take the class barefoot or with grip socks. There are lockers available to put your things away but no locks.

Excellent workout with no impact on joints, but the second stage muscle failure will leave you sore for days.

Came in to complete my Classpass trial as this place was 15 credits (Jan 2024). For here you'd find street parking, and if you go outside of 4-7pm M-F, parking is free. Note that they give you a passcode upon signing up for a class. The number pad is to the left of the entrance. When I walked in no one was at the front to greet me which I thought was unusual for studios. I found my way around to the lockers and bathroom before class, and ultimately found myself an open reformer in the main room.

We had a sub Derika that was brand new as a teacher, but class was still equally challenging.
It was a 7:30pm class so I appreciated her pacing and volume of music -- not too fast and not too loud. Plus her cueing was very clear and she encourages you with hands on assists and calling out your name. I really appreciated her class.

Upon walking out, I noticed that they offered complimentary lifesaver mints, hairties for class, earplugs (didn't need them thankfully!) and liquid IV (yuzu pineapple).
They also had hand sanitizer and tissues for personal use as well. There are towels that you can buy for $8.00 if you know you sweat a lot during class.

The only critical comment I'll make is that it smelled like sweat and water mold upon walking in.
As a neurodivergent with heightened sense of smell, this wasn't appreciated, but I'm glad the studio itself was free of this smell or else I would've left. This is where I deducted my star.

Nonetheless, I'm glad I got to experience solidcore through classpass.
I won't be renewing my classpass at this time, but in the future if I do, I will continue to come to solidcore!

I first visited the Libbie Mill location in September 2023 for the Beginner50 class with Anna and it was a great first experience. I had never tried Pilates before and she was super understanding. The class is fast paced but only 50 minutes long, and I like how it's a mixture of levels welcomed. I didn't feel bad or left out because I was new. The music playing was motivational and the studio was very clean. They gave me my own locker when I arrived to place my things in and that made it feel personal, like somewhere I could potentially call home. I will definitely return again!

Literally the most challenging workout I've ever done. This location is ALWAYS busy in my experience so it's a bit tough to get in for classes but the instructors are awesome. I always feel challenged doing Solidcore and even though I've taken a lot of classes, I haven't really plateaued and still feel like I'm getting a good workout in.

The parking is horrendous. I drove around the block twice and had to pay for a parking garage. Especially for a 6pm class. The class is really hard and high energy. I struggled understanding what to do as this was my first time doing Pilates and there's no one in particular to follow. A lot of people were doing different variations from what the instructor said so it was difficult to follow. I felt great afterwards and will definitely want to try again now that I know what to expect

Since joining solidcore over a year and a half ago, I have seen changes in my body I have never achieved from any other workout. I feel so strong and confident and I am so beyond grateful for my solidcore family especially Brittany, Blaise, Mary, Kasey, Emily, April, Sara, Janine, Maria and Gail who pushed and encouraged me beyond what I thought I could ever achieve. If you asked me a year and a half ago to hold a plank I would literally laugh in your face. Now I'm doing 'cirus tricks' on sweatlana and feeling so damn strong showing up to class day in day out. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic work out. Seriously haven't pushed my body this hard in a while. It's that feeling of "I hate this" while you're in the middle of it, and then at the end thinking "I loved that". Instructor was great, high energy. You won't regret going here.

If you are looking to try Pilates or continue your journey with high intensity, low impact full body work outs this is where you need to be! The instructors are so sweet and motivate you throughout the class! I love how they would call out my name and give me compliments!! Unfortunately I had to stop because I finished up undergrad in RVA and moved back home. If someone from solid core is reading this PLEASE bring a studio to the 757 (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton) WE NEED IT !!!!!

Must try! Solidcore workouts are incredible! Very encouraging, challenging, low impact and great strength builders! This location is quite great, a lot of amazing coaches who make a huge difference in energy & the entire atmosphere of the class.

Highly recommend, especially with more experienced coaches!

This workout is an extreme version of pilates, like mixing a reformer class with Barry's Boot Camp. The music is loud, the changes are quick, the lights are low, and the energy is high. The workout is very difficult but the speed makes you not quite realize how difficult, until the soreness sets in later. The parking is street, usually ok, but not the easiest, and they send you a code so you can get into the front door before class. It's solid and predictable, pretty similar between instructors, but a bit expensive if you're not an autocharged "member" and want to pay per class. But they have good options for trying it out before you commit!

I love coming to Solidcore each week! The first class was extremely hard as they move at a really fast pace but the instructor I had really tried her best to make sure I had the spring changes I needed and guided me when she could. I've gone to 10 classes now and while it's still intense, I feel like multiple instructors I've seen have all been super friendly and really friendly. The space is clean and I really appreciate that they provide wipes at the end of each session.

I've been going to Solidcore for quite long now through Classpass. I usually go to Reston location but there was a discount, so I tried Mosaic location. I tried this studio first time during pandemic and second time on 4/17.

I really love Solidcore, but I have no idea what happened to this studio after pandemic. This studio used to be clean and perfect in everyway, but when I visited recently, it was very stuffy and no air circulation whatsoever. The temperature in the studio is wayyy high that I almost felt no oxygen. The workout itself is pretty tough, so the temperature can affect you a lot. It was way too hot in the studio that it almost felt like I was in hot yoga and it can possibly give you heat shock.

I almost wanted to give 3 stars, but at least the instructors became more informative than before. They show you forms and adjust your forms and give you pretty nice encouragement, but again they gotta work on their studio before someone passes out.

I just took my first solidcore class a couple weeks ago, and I'm absolutely obsessed. I tried lagree a few months ago when I was visiting a different state and I loved it, so I've been wanting to try out this place too. I've tried so many fitness classes in the past (I currently have pilates and cycle memberships), but this is by FAR the most challenging class I've ever taken. It literally works out every part of your body and gives you an insane burn that you'll be feeling over the next couple of days. Call me crazy, but I love feeling sore after a workout because I know my muscles are getting stronger. They also blast music the entire time, which makes the workout even more fun. I can't recommend this place enough. Not only will you see the difference physically and mentally, but you'll have a great time working out!

I'm too old for this! How old?? Let's just say, I have my AARP card!! Lol! But really Stephanie made me feel like a young whippersnapper again! I moved muscles I never knew I had! Typically, my only cardio is shopping! So this was new for me! Some of my co-workers and I signed up for this class, (2 of them had been before!) and it was easy to download the app, sign up for a class, and pay. If this is your first class, get there a little earlier to get a brief review of how the equipment works. We arrived right on time, because we couldn't find it in the Libbie Mill complex, so our overview was too fast and it was a bit flustering, but I caught in pretty quick. You can always look to your left or right and do "Simon says". Some of the moves are like playing Twister... "right knee on square 2" etc. We did a basic full body work out, using tension straps, weights, and the sliding board working legs, arms, core, and glutes. The movement are small but mighty. I sweat my a$$ off! I was shocked I was pretty much able to keep up with the young chickies in this class, most were in their 20's! But I liked this exercise because it wasn't jumping or high impact... these slight movements truly stretched my body and I felt it from head to toe! I'm sure to be sore tomorrow! Feel that burn!!

I liked the dim lighting, the music, the high energy of the instructor, Stephanie, and the positive vibes and adrenaline rush I felt afterwards. The change in positions went a bit fast for me, but I'm sure with practice, the switch ups will be smoother next time! I love the location because I work in the complex so it's super convenient! We will do more classes for sure!

Ok. I am 50 years old, have a bunch of injuries from 18 years of women's rugby, and returned to solidcore after a 4 year haitus and gaining 30 lbs during the pandemic. I was really scared about returning. Nonetheless, after fumbling through two classes with Jake, I have to say this club is super supportive for beginners. The instructor is exactly the right mix of supportive and letting you figure it out, while still ensuring to keep the intensity level up for his more advanced students.

So, does it work? Four years ago, I did solidcore consistently for 8 months and saw a total transformation, including my lower tummy pouch disappearing. At first, it was very difficult because my existing workout strategy focused on strength and did not call for a great deal of balance and endurance. And, even after 8 months, there were moves I skipped due to rugby injuries. But, I stuck with it and was consistent, and, yes, I saw results.

If you're looking to shake up your exercise routine, give solidcore a try! I tried the two week unlimited client special, but don't think you'll be able to take a class everyday for two weeks to make the price worth it - your body will most definitely be sore and in need of rest.

You're on something similar to a pilates reformer machine for 50 minutes using your own body weight and the resistance of the springs on the machine for the duration of the workout. The lights dim with just the standard solidcore blue light on with music pumping and an instructor speaking to you on a headset. Some people find this overwhelming, but I actually liked it. It helped me to focus on my workout even more when I felt like other people weren't watching me and I needed to pay attention to the instructors' cues on what to do next.

It is pricey, but it helps that you don't need to purchase anything additional - not even sneakers. The other thing I really really appreciate about this location is the diversity. I've seen men, older folks, people of color, people of different body types, etc. take the classes. It's still mostly skinny White females in lululemon's, but seeing diverse instructors and students made me feel more welcomed, especially as I struggled these last two weeks as a newbie.

If it's your first time trying solidcore, I highly recommend Monica! She explained everything so well and helped change my resistance springs for my first two classes. Niki is also great at making sure your form is good so that you don't injure yourself. Honestly, I feel like you can't go wrong with an instructor here.

It's street parking in this area but I never had trouble finding parking here. Just read the signs carefully on street cleaning days!

This is by far the most challenging thing I have ever tried, but now I'm hooked! Joined 3 weeks ago and I can't believe it took me this long to try this place out. It's very intimate and the coaches are all so motivating and helpful. I really enjoy this workout and how different it is from anything else I've tried, slow movements but big results, you will be drenched in sweat after one class, I also love all the motivating quotes on the floor and walls such a nice touch. I am already seeing a difference in my body - Try this place out!

A friend introduced me to Solidcore and now it's my favorite workout! The coaches are motivating and know how to push you. I already feel stronger in short amount of time.

[Solidcore] has been referred to as pilates on steroids. I originally found [solidcore] through ClassPass when I was furloughed and used the opportunity to get in shape. I work out regularly and it is literally the most physically challenging thing I've ever done! It's a 50-minute high intensity, low impact full body workout that builds strength and endurance. It never gets easier- you only get stronger. I did barre at least five times a week prior to the pandemic, so I was accustomed to the shaky feeling of achieving muscle failure. But with barre, I started to get bored as the class format was the same and I sometimes felt like I was repeating classes during the week. Every day in [solidcore] focuses on two different muscle groups, so you don't get bored. As an unlimited member since November 2021, I've been going regularly, checking out different studios in the DMV, and definitely see results. I now have definition in my muscles that I've never seen before! I primarily go to Crystal City, which is a relatively new studio- it's huge with 19 [sweatlanas]! All of the coaches are amazing, encouraging and give you personalized attention to improve your form, which helps you get a better workout- you can really feel the difference with minor adjustments.

I highly recommend newcomers start with the full body workout to get familiar with the equipment, terms, moves, etc.

[Solidcore] is addictive. It is expensive, but worth it. So, bring on the shakes!

I tried Solidcore a few months ago and even though it was super tough, I was hooked. This workout is unlike any other, but sticking with it has been so great for me, both physically and mentally. I have never felt stronger! All of the instructors are fabulous and challenge you to work hard, but have fun while doing so. 10/10 recommend!

Obsessed is an understatement. The classes have low lights and loud music to help you get out of your head and focus on yourself for 50 mins. If you've ever wanted to try it, just go for it! I did and have continued to show up for last 4 years. I truly love this workout, community, and coaches.

The positive attitude and energy displayed by the Solidcore coaches is why I keep coming back. The workout is tough but totally worth it with the results that you get!! The coaches make you feel that you matter and provide positive reinforcement during the 50 minute workout. The music selections are always upbeat and on point. I have met some great people during my workouts. I am 55 plus and am extremely comfortable with working out with the younger set.

Definitely recommend this workout and Libbie Mill location

I have always been a runner and a HIIT person but my first class at this Solidcore changed my life! The workout was the most challenging yet rewarding workout I have ever done. The coaches are so patient and motivating for all the people in the class and do such a wonderful job of complimenting people. I could not give this place a higher recommendation if you are looking for a good workout!

I started going to Solidcore after trying a class in DC and loving the workout. The music is great and the workout is intense!

I love all the coaches here! Everyone is very welcoming and non-judgmental and the coaches genuinely want to support their clients. I'm so glad I tried Solidcore out because now I'm addicted! I've been taking classes for two months and I still wake up sore the next morning. You will always be challenged!

The day after your workout, don't even consider sneezing because your ribs are 100% sure to break. If u want to get your ass kicked and shed a few tears, this is for you! If you expect results and don't mind publicly crying, head on over to your nearest solidcore for a nice taste of death results are guaranteed so wipe those tears and get over yourself

Love this location! My favorite weekend routine is taking class with my girl Sydney, getting my shake on, and popping over to the tropical smoothie down the street. Very convenient, and the parking around the studio is relatively manageable even outside of the garage. They do a great job here of keeping things clean and sanitized, and they've got wipes a plenty. Will definitely be back!

I can't say enough great things about Solidcore! Their no-impact, challenging classes have helped me regain strength and muscle tone I'd lost during COVID lockdown in record time. Plus, their coaches and studio manager are top notch! I love the cleanliness of the studios and chill vibe of the blue lights as well as the positive, encouraging style of the coaching. Highly recommend both the Buffalo Grove and Vernon Hills studios!

My favorite workout class ever. I split my time between this studio location and the Vernon Hills studio. The coaches are very encouraging and help you modify your movements if you feel the exercises are too advanced. I always feel and look my best after taking these classes! It's the only place I see my abs peeking through after the hour.

I love love love Solidcore!! I got in health and fitness 5 years ago after losing 73 lbs. Since then it's been hard to find a place that constantly challenges me and has AMAZING music playing to keep me motivated. When I stepped into my first Solidcore class... I won't lie I felt a bit intimidated because everyone looked so ripped and it was my first Pilates class ever but it wasn't intimidating at all- the instructors called you by your name (how do they have such great memory ?!? Idk but I love it) and guided you through workouts as a beginner. Next few days I was so sore, I make a joke about using my bed frame to get out of bed haha. I fell in love with the atmosphere, the vibes, the lights, THE MUSIC and the challenging aspect of it all. I'm so addicted to these classes now- that missing a week feels like I haven't been in for months lol. I highly recommend to check out Coach Gillian and Nikita!! They have bomb ass playlists and their energy is so sweet and welcoming!! I don't feel judged but I feel like I'm a part of a workout family! I'm immensely happy I found this place!

BEST.WORKOUT.EVER!! "Pilates on crack" and I continually come back for more!! You won't find a tougher, more satisfying workout anywhere. Clean studio(s), COVID precautions in place, enthusiastic coaches that make you laugh when you could just as easily cry from the burn and always welcoming to new and returning clients no matter your skill level. Try it! [strength] and [commitment] have never been so rewarding!

Found this on class pass and tried it because I was looking for something to change up the routine.

I would be considered somewhat of a workout junkie and this class was everything I was looking for.

If you're beginner or advanced and are looking for a workout that will tone and strengthen in a way that's humbling this is for you.

The studio was clean, I've been 3 times now and every instructor has been great and the music and lighting make it more fun and less intimidating than a regular Pilates class where everyone can see and hear you.

I've signed up and purchased a few packages and can't wait to see what adding this into my routine.

I love it here. I have tried it all, even personal training, and have found this to be the single most effective thing that I have tried. I was hesitant to spend the money- it is a financial commitment- but I think it's worth it for someone seeking a high level of challenge and progress. This is not a "fitness class"- it issmall group coaching (max 12 people). This is a well planned workout with precise techniques, individual coaching and instruction and periodization (check the muscle focus calendar on the Solidcore website).

This is for you if:

-you have tried many, many workout classes, and are looking for better results

-you are prepared to listen carefully to instructions

-you like to be pushed to your limits

-you enjoy precise, slow and mindful movements and a significant focus on form

-you are prepared to stick with it for atleast five classes before assessing so that you fully understand the nuances

-you like to have scheduled "appointments" or times for your workouts in order to be consistent. (SC has a lot of convenient times)

-you like privacy during your workout. (The studio is pretty dark, and machines are positioned so that people are looking directly forward at themselves.)

-you don't have more than one hour a day for fitness and need to make it as effective and full body as possible

-you like to have your own area during fitness classes with all the equipment right there.

This is *not* for you if:

-you like to zone out when you exercise

-you want an intense cardio workout

-you are seeking max calorie burn to "undo" dietary "splurges". You probably will not burn as many calories as a spin or OTF class. Personally, I haven't had to up my calories significantly from SolidCore, but I have had the best results from this program.

-you cannot hold a plank for 60 seconds/ have a lower back injury that makes it painful to do so

-you are expecting a very high level of individual coaching/ corrections. The instructors do this to their best ability, but you will have to pay attention to the cues directed at the class and direct yourself to some extent. The instructor won't always be able to see if you are off roading.

If you want to get max value...

-look on the Solidcore website before class. There are videos and explanations of the basic moves.

-come to class 15 minutes early and ask for the demo, identify yourself as a newb.

-commit to 3x a week for a month, or try the new client package (rather than trying it once per week or irregularly, as it will be harder to learn the moves. Also, this is really a fitness program, not an "abs class")

-Check the Solidcore website/ muscle focus calendar to see what the classes will focus on and choose accordingly.

-the beginner spring loads are very heavy, at least for me. Don't be afraid to go lighter, do it from your knees or take a moment if your lower back hurts.

-really pay attention to the recommended range of motions (the white and blue lines.)

By far the most pain for your buck of any boutique fitness studio. And I mean that as a compliment. I have always been a cardio junkie, and could never find a workout that gave me the same endorphin buzz as a spin class until Solid Core. I actually have never taken a regular pilates class, but have been told that this is basically Pilates on steroids. For fifty minutes you go through a series of strength and balance exercises, focusing on the core, while on a pilates type machine that may be called a "mega former". It is challenging, yet adaptable to every level. The goal is to get the "shakes" by exhausting your muscle fibers. I have seen progress in a palpable way that I have never seen from a purely cardio class, and that is motivating in itself. Finally, the customer service and quality of coaching is amazing and the studio is clean, smells good, and has a cool look. My only complaint, which is not enough to remove a star, is that they don't have showers. That is an overall Solidcore policy, but it is annoying in that it limits the class times I can attend with work starting at 9:00. Then again, it is so nice to have a strength workout so intense that I actually need to shower afterward.

Tried a class here on classpass and lived through it to tell the tale!

Instructor was friendly, encouraging, and upbeat, which made the workout that much easier. It was difficult to hear her at times, and/or understand the form or what to do next. I think that may be a given if you're new to the machine.

The workout itself was challenging but fun, and made me ache for 3-4 days after. There is really an intense focus on your core, and that's something I usually don't work out in my typical gym session.

Only downside is that the classes are quite expensive, and can be super challenging for a beginner (a bit difficult to scale down). Overall, I recommend trying this out to see if you like (and can survive) pilates on crack.

Such a good workout that uses muscles you didn't think you had!!! Studio was clean and plenty of parking space. First class is free so it's a great way to try it out!!

I've been hearing a lot about solid-core through social media, so I grabbed my best work out buddy and we signed up for a beginner class Sunday morning.

Let me just say, this work out kicked my BUTT. The goal of solidcore is essentially to work your muscles to failure. Listen up ladies and gentlemen, to FAILURE. Five minutes in and my friend and I exchanged looks of, "THAT was just the warm up?" with beads of sweat rolling down our face. Even though it was a beginner class, I was dying throughout the whole thing. You can definitely keep up if you pace yourself, but I won't pretend it wasn't extremely challenging. It also made me realize I don't work on my core enough...I didn't think I was that out of shape since I regularly go to the gym for my usual cardio session and (sometimes) weightlifting, but I left this class second-guessing myself.

On the flip slide, I loved the environment here. The classes are kept small for good reason! When we first arrived, we were greeted by the instructor, Lindsay, and she also showed us how to use the machines. During the class, she gave out words of encouragement amongst the blaring music through her mic, telling us what a good job we were doing by calling out our names (which surprised me that she even remembered). It was extremely personable and motivated me to push myself to not give up during the work out. And trust me, I wanted to give up several times during the class because my whole body was trembling.

The classes are expensive, which is one of the reasons holding me back from becoming a regular, but it's definitely a good work out and was told that it gets easier the more you go!

Only went for one class and it was amazing. Only reason I didn't sign was the cost. It was too expensive and definitely for the rich. Otherwise: THE best workout I've ever had. Wish I could go back. The instructor was helpful and patient and the reformers were clean. Space was clean.

What an amazing and motivational workout! Solidcore uses a "megaformer" machine which allows your body to focus on working very specific muscles with slow, small movements. My abs hurt so much the next day so I know the class definitely worked!

I signed up for the class using Class Pass. The instructor was so helpful in getting me setup my first class, and she taught me everything I needed to know about the class. The class takes place in a dark, mirrored room, with loud upbeat music playing and the instructor giving you motivational cues for your movements. I really felt like I was able to tune out the world and just focus on working my muscles.

You can do the class barefoot or in sticky socks, and be sure to arrive early since the parking lot is small and can fill up quickly!

I'm looking forward to taking future classes!

A year later my review from last year still stands! Some coaches have changed but still just as motivating and inspiring as they were from day 1.

Great exercise / great classes; have done most of the boutique fitness studios from OTF, Barry's, CPY, etc. -- Jacqueline is the BEST coach among all the fitness classes I've seen. Knows the exercises inside & out, runs a high energy/awesome class each and every time -- great studio!

I've never pushed myself harder in a workout than I do whenever I take Solidcore. I've been coming here since February 2019 and it's easy to see how even though it's a really tough workout, people get addicted to the shakes! The music is high-energy and the instructors are friendly and very motivating. I also like how they always take a few minutes before class to give newcomers a rundown, and to demo moves for all of us that we may not be familiar with and to make sure we have proper form to avoid injury. Classes are pricey but the quality of instructors and the workout itself are so worth it!

Awesome workout!!! Super challenging and motivating. The machine is really effective and I love the instructors. Studio is exceptionally clean and a welcoming space. Highly recommend classes with Jennelyn or Chrissy.

Definitely one of the better SolidCore's I have been to! I came here through Classpass and enjoyed the way the studio was set up, with tons of room to put things away, etc. They did not use the doorcode system the other studios seem to use so you actually met with a live person in the front.

Pros: the class started on time and better yet, the instructor ACTUALLY cam around and gave corrections. I hate when places don't because it really damages your form and can hurt you in the process. I'm all about a fast paced class but correcting form is important to me. Music doesn't blare here uncomfortably loud either. The workout was definitely kicking my butt. At the end it looks like they provided those who were new with some Epsom salt to soak sore muscles in after which I think is nice.

Cons: nothing really other then of course, the price. If it wasn't for Classpass I couldn't afford this place.

I've only taken class with Natalie at this location, my primary location is Mosaic, but I LOVE Natalie's classes. She kicks my butt every time and is so friendly! Love [solidcore]... can't say it enough!

I took Jennelyn's class this morning and she was amazing! Her energy and attitude is so positive and welcoming. She really kicked my ass - the hardest solidcore class I've ever taken! The music was great too! The facilities are clean and modern. You are given a towel for your class and you can go barefoot or with Pilates socks. Protein drinks are available for purchase. Excellent customer service, workout and community!

Love Solidcore! I've been working out for the past 20+ years and this is by far the most engaging, motivational, and fun workout I've ever experienced. Not to mention the amazing euphoria you feel from the rush of endorphins after the 50-minute workout. I'm totally hooked!

Working out by yourself can get boring. Working out at boot camp can be too much. Solidcore has a perfect balance of low impact, high intensity, and plenty of modifiers for each exercise to accommodate any strength level. Not to mention that every class is different so it's always challenging, plus no plateaus for your growth.

One thing though, the loud music is so good but wear earplugs! Your ears will thank you later! (free ear plugs provided at the front desk!)

Though I am not much of a fun of workouts encompassing a reformer/machine, I had a great experience at [solidcore]. My sister and I signed up for free through ClassPass. The women were so welcoming and encouraging. Our instructor Kate made sure she demonstrated all of the moves and had correct form. She also didn't mind if we took breaks being that the workout was so tough. Personally I am going to stick with running but this is the place to go if you are looking to try something different.

Good lord! 50 minutes of intense work left me tired but feeling accomplished. I’ve tried a ton of classes and studios through ClassPass and other promotions, and this will definitely be in my rotation. HIGHLY recommend.

Dani Izzo is our favorite teacher here. She provides clear and concise directions and helpful to newbies. I like the layout of this studio compared to other studios because the cubbies are within viewing distance.

Navy yard and Bethesda locations have cubbies outside the studio room and made me paranoid to leave valuables unlocked and unattended there.

Always appreciate the bobby pins before class and reward mint after class. Glad to see Solidcore on Classpass!

What a fun workout! I've done reformer work before but have always wanted to try Solidcore due to their cult following in DC. My instructor Josh was very helpful and encouraging throughout the class, even though I was pretty bad at most of the moves.

Despite the fact that these are slow, small movements, you will definitely feel them! My core is on fire right now and it hurts so good!

I got a set of classes through ClassPass' trial and I'm very much considering buying classes because I think Solidcore would be a good addition to my workout routine. I'll be back! :)

The coaches encourage you, challenge you and overall make you feel like you can conquer the world. Absolutely LOVE this studio AND will never ever leave. Literally the hardest work out in DC. But the results are noticeable. I've been going for about a year and I feel stronger and look super toned.

Running wasn't cutting it and this work out is so much better than running. The coaches are awesome and really get to know you and your strengths. I always walk out drenched in sweat and feeling good.

If you want to challenge yourself and see REAL results, you should try it out. Anna and Ramona are my personal faves but all the coaches are amazing.
