First time at this location and it is by far the nicest most accomodating solidcore I've ever been to. Isabella helped with changing the springs and was super helpful with form. Another coach was there, which was helpful for newbies to refer to. So appreciative of such a supportive foundations class.
Very inclusive feeling whenever I come to this studio. Instructors are nice and encouraging. I recently attended a soca class which I really enjoyed and motivated me throughout the class
literally obsessed with this workout. I workout 6 days a week and am still constantly challenged by this class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND classes with Isabella, blond and red head Megan! all super motivating and encouraging.
Coming here is the highlight of my day, you have to take the Intro and Foundation50 for the newcomer because you will be overwhelmed of how difficult it is especially when your core is still weak. I only do 8 classes a month for now because I dont think I can do this everyday! Very challenging but its worth it!

I loved this class. I thought this was a pilates class and was quite surprised by the actual workout. The coach, Lindsey was great and was very helpful as it was my first class at a solid core. I would highly recommend!
I've been here twice and both times the instructors were kind, encouraging and friendly ! The workout left me feeling great and the exercises were invigorating and challenging. I would recommend and come back !
I love solidcore. It is my favorite boutique 'gym' - I had been going to this Bethesda location since 2018 until my recent move into DC. Coach Megan M. is my absolute favorite. Her sequences are always super challenging but effective, high energy with helpful feedback and her playlist is awesome. Definitely recommend this workout and Coach Megan M. for all of your core and strength workout needs!!!

I always take solidcore when I’m back in town and the last few classes I had taken were so mid..I was starting to think the brand was going downhill. Well Megan restored my faith because that class was excellent and the way I remember classes to be before I moved away. Great sequence, funny stories, and she actually acknowledged my existence (even tho she didn’t know my name she would give praise and tap my platform so I knew she was speaking to me) Goes a long way! Thanks Megan 🫶🏼
Did my first ever solidcore class and I loved it! I used class pass to see if this is something I would want to invest in, and I can confidently say that it is.
I did a 9:30 pm class on Tuesday, and i love the variety of the times of the classes. This class was only 30 minutes, and I felt like I got more of a kick out of it, than some of these 50 minute classes I take.
I took the class, Powers30: Core + Upper Body, with Kayla, and she was amazing. She was encouraging, and helpful with correcting the wrong form.
Solidcore Wildwood is one of my favorite spots to get in a seriously challenging workout. The classes are intense--in the best way possible. It's one of those workouts where you feel every muscle working and leave knowing you gave it your all. If you're looking to push yourself and really build strength, this is the place.
The location is super convenient, and parking is usually easy with plenty of spots in the Wildwood shopping center lot. One of the best perks is being able to grab a bite afterward--there are so many great food options just steps away, whether you want a healthy smoothie or a full meal. It makes post-workout plans so seamless.
Highly recommend this location if you're looking for a killer workout and a convenient, well-located studio!
This was my first time taking a Solid Core class and it was challenging but it was worth it. They have beginner classes but I registered for the "Off-Peak Signature 50 class" with Kendra and she was great! If it's your first time definitely come early so you can get an idea on how to use the machines. This was a 50 min class that worked my entire body. I was amazed at how much balance and core was worked into these workout sessions. I need to prioritize it more. Can't wait
For my next class. The club isn't super huge but people can navigate fine. If you have class pass the code they provide to get inside the door didn't work. I had to wait for someone to let me in. Parking is great. This location is in a shopping center so it's super convenient! Love it! Thanks again!
Kyla is an amazing Pilates instructor. As a beginner taking this class for the first time, she was there every step of the way. She made sure myself and all
clients were safe and that we pushed ourselves to new limits. No other instructor’s course I’d rather take.
If you've been to solidcore you know what a great workout this is. It's like Pilates x10. I especially like this location, there are plenty of machines and the teachers are all really great. I especially like that they dim the lights during class and play music that really sets the tone for the class. Definitely recommend as one of my favorite solidcore locations.
I think solidcore is the best bank-for-your-buck workout class in that Pilates is always humbling and works muscle groups that are really hard to activate. Every instructor I've had has been very good at correcting my form and being encouraging. I think it's a really great cross-training activity for someone who loves running
In town for the month and was looking for a place similar to my usual pilates - this place did not disappoint! Awesome, intense full body workout. Megan is great and makes the time go by fast!
Excellent workout. The class is challenging and the 50 minutes go by so quickly. Lily was the instructor and she was amazing at showing me proper form and keeping me engaged from beginning to end. She even patiently answered my questions after the class. Definitely a great workout.
This location of Solidcore knows how to do it right. I've been to several other locations in the DMV area, and this one is by far the best one. From the instructors to the receptionists to the other students in the class, everyone is very nice and friendly. Due to my schedule, I've only taken classes with Erin and Dorraine, and they are absolutely the BEST! They really encourage you to push to your limits, without making you feel embarassed at all. Even though this location is not the most convenient location for me to go to, it is the only one I will go to, because at some of the other locations, the instructors can be somewhat snooty and condescending and make me feel very judged. I'm someone who absolutely HATES doing core work, but the instructors here make me want to come to class week after week. Not to mention, the equipment and facilities are very clean. The vibes are awesome. Parking is usually not a problem and is free. Bethesda Bagels is also right next door :)
Oh-Em-Gee!!! First time at Solidcore but I decided to take a chance and sign up for regular Full Body class instead for beginner. I figured I've familiar with Pilates and core movements, think I should be ok. Lol yes and no!
Place is located by wildwood shopping center where Balducci is, so while there are plenty of lot parking, some days could get very crowded. Good thing I decided on a Sunday so parking wasn't an issue.
When you first came in, small front desk area and to the left are a couple of benches with built-in lockers to store your stuff. Jackets hang area are to the right of it. The blue light around the studio gives a calming vibes all around.
Came in and greeted by Anne, very friendly and sweet instructor who told me I should be ok but I would feel all the shaking even after the class. She was fast and very upbeat during class but still very helpful and correcting your posture should you need to be corrected. When she said you will be shaking after class, yep! Sore on my stomach, glutes even as I'm writing this. Class is VERY intense but it is well worth it for your body. I will def be back this week, after I soaked my soreness away! Will probably try a beginner class should I find a schedule that I can get into. I SHALL BE BACK!
If you have ever gone to a gym class or even did a home workout video and the instructor tells you to "contract your abdominal muscles" and you have no idea what they are talking about let alone how to do it, then this review is for you.
Through what can only be classified as intense positive reinforcement, Solidcore jump starts your education in learning the ins and outs of your abdominal muscles, balance, and muscle control.
Each class starts promptly on time. Getting in a few minutes early, especially if it is your fast class can help you get acclimated. The instructors will demo any new or more unique moves before class starts.
Each instructor has their own way of teaching class and every class has some similarities but are never exactly the same class. Each workout focuses on full body or specific areas but you will always get a core workout.
The classes are very high energy and you will sweat, a lot. They have towels and disinfectant wipes to wipe down the machine each workout. Low lights, bass fueled music, and positive affirmations stamped on the floors and walls will motivate you to keep going.
If you give it a shot try to stick it out for at least 8-10 classes. You eventually get into the rhythm of micro movement and balancing on a giant contraption.
This location is always clean and there is always a front desk person. The bathroom has a variety of convenient and thoughtful items that I appreciate (face wash, lotion, deodorant, etc) although I don't think I've ever used any.
Parking is lot parking and free but its in a busy shopping center so it may be a search sometimes.
Give it a shot, your future baby abs will thank you.
This was probably the most intense workout I've ever had... in other words, I loved it. I had no idea what Solidcore was and decided to try it out because it was offered on ClassPass (and is expen$ive).
Anyway, it was only a 50 minute class, but it had me wishing it was over every minute. The slow eccentric movements really had me modifying everything to make it easier. The instructor (forgot her name, sorry!!) was amazing. She was energetic, explained everything easily, and was very motivating. I would totally come back to get my butt kicked.
I'm a solidcore newbie, so I decided to ease into this workout by signing up for Jenni's full-body beginner class. Jenni provided the class with instructions on the sweatlana machine and demonstrated proper execution of each exercise before the class started.
The 50-minute workout involved core and resistance moves that worked my arms, abs, and butt. I could feel my muscles being challenged during the workout and I loved it. Jenni gave individual attention to each of the thirteen people in the class. She gently corrected our form as needed to ensure we executed the moves correctly and avoided injuries.
The workout room was filled with positive words along the wall above the mirrors and motivational phrases on the floor between the front and back of each machine. The phrase nearest my machine read: "you've got this; don't give up." Reading those words helped me to press on whenever I felt like pausing between repetitions.
I can see why people enjoy working out at Solidcore. I'm already looking forward to my next full body workout here. I didn't break a sweat in this beginner class, so I'm ready to step it up with the regular full body class next time.
Know before you go:
1. New clients should arrive 10-15 minutes early for a machine demo.
2. This studio has no lockers, but you can put your belongings in one of the cubby drawers outside the workout room near the front of the studio.
3. The studio has two large bathrooms and no showers.
I have officially finished my 6th SolidCore class with 5 different instructors (2 locations) so I'm now comfortable giving a review.
Expense - Let's be real here. This is not a poor person's fitness class. You need to have a bank account or access to someone who loves you and are willing to share their bank account with you. In short, this class is not cheap!
Environment - Appropriately designed studios and the classes are held with the lights very low. There are words of wisdom and encouragement all around and plenty of "SweatLanas" (the equipment).
Instructors - I have worked with 5 different instructors and all of them were superb. They each had their own strengths. I've narrowed it down to the 2 that I will stick with. I based my decision solely on style. But I won't name the instructions here.
Love this place. Love this work out. Love the encouragement and my peers at the place who tell me that they also started off nervous but that it gets better. Highly recommended.
I am in love with solidcore. I wish i had enough friends to refer because it is costly but it is such a good workout. Lunges, squats, pushups etc all on the pilates type machine. Sami and ryan were great instructors they push you to the limit and motivate you to keep going. I will be back!
SOLID workout. I saw results after just 2 classes. I set a goal to go 1x per week for the next 3 months to get ready for my wedding. The workout is HARD. Don't be shy about doing planks on your knees.
As for the facility, I only gave 4 stars because I wish there was a shower so I could go at lunchtime and go back to work. Other than that, I really like this location. It feels much more spaceous than other ones I've been to in DC. (I also hate the metal bins. They look cool but are really hard and noisy to open and close.)
I've been to this location several times and I love it. The instructors are always super nice and encouraging. I love the additional security feature where the door is pin code access only. They send you an email with the code.
The workout is intense but you'll be surprised how far your body will go.
Just started taking these classes and I can't recommend it enough. Always a challenge, but the instructor makes it fun. Always encouraging and keeping the session upbeat. The 50 minute class flies by. And you feel it during and afterwards. Sure beats going to the gym.
Never did I think I would sweat so much from being on a reformer! This is an INTENSE workout!
Solidcore is a high intensity, low impact workout that uses movements based on planks, lunges, and squats. The movements are slow, controlled, and resistance based-- it's not like any other type of workout! The instructor was friendly, encouraging and accommodating; she made sure everyone felt comfortable with the machine and amount of resistance attached. The classes are pretty small, so the instructor is able to give you individual attention and correct your posture and form. Also, they start on time and lock the doors to the studio, so make sure you're on time!
{Studio}: I found the studio to be clean and modern. They also had toiletries (dry shampoo, deodorant spray, Listerine, lotion, bobby pins, etc ) in the bathroom which were super helpful!
{Parking}: there is metered street parking off to the side of the studio (~$3 an hour), or there is a metered parking lot in the back.
Solidcore is the only workout I actually benefit from on all levels—physically, mentally and emotionally I am at an ease that is somewhat hard to describe. I’m hooked on the workout, instructors, community and overall the tremendous amount of support and positive vibes oozing from the downtown Bethesda and Wildwood studios I weave between. Do yourself and your body a favor and don’t miss out on this life-changing and motivating workout! Thank you endlessly, Jess D,Ryan S,Liana R,Jenni N, Kat A, and Adina R! ❤️
[Solidcore] changed my life - literally. It's the hardest workout I have ever done, but I have been doing it for three years, giving my a new confidence. And on a stressful day? Stress is out of my head for those 50 minutes because if you're thinking about something else, you'll fall off the machine ;-). This is at least 2 workouts in one - so if you like efficiency and butt kicking - this is for you. Bethesda location is particularly good for neighborhood feel and new students!
Natalie was amazing!! Most intense workout I think I've ever done and most likely won't be able to walk or lift anything tomorrow but SO worth it. Excited to go again later this week. HIGHY RECOMMEND
