I really love this place. I've only been to one other dermatologist but the different between this place and the other is like night and day. I went in for a skin cancer screening. Valerie Marino and her assistant were absolutely amazing. They explained the whole process, they were incredibly thorough, they helped ease my anxiety. I ended up needing a biopsy and she explained every step of the process while she was doing it to ease my nerves even more. I felt like they actually wanted to help me and cared about me at this place. I ended up having to get surgery and stitches after the biopsy and Dr. Bourhill was just as amazing. He didn't talk much but he was incredibly fast and efficient which helped a lot with the nervousness of this whole process. I'll definitely continue to keep coming back to this place for future skin cancer screenings!

I explained in detail on the survey I took. I will not do it again here. The staff seemed pleasant enough. I was not impressed with the PA that saw me. Maybe he was having a bad day or something. I will go there again in the future, if for no other reason, than I believe everyone deserves a 2nd chance. I did visit a 2nd time and this last time was 200% better. Dr. Heller did an excellent job. He has very good bedside manner and is definitely a professional. His asset. was very good also. This should have read: assistant. I was again treated well by the staff and medical personnel. My only real issue is their message system: Klara. I shouldn't have to wait for a return response when making an appointment. I feel that we deserve to right to speak directly with a human and not have to wait for someone to text us back...

The receptionist was very helpful. I was then invited into the exam room by the medical assistant who again was friendly. Finally Sarah Dubinsky NP came to see me after a very short wait and listened attentively to the reason for my visit and took serious my concerns. She gave me a thorough exam and offered me options for treatment and recommendations for follow up. All I can say is that I felt like I was cared for and treated well as a patient; a feeling that is harder to come by in medical offices these days. Definitely recommend this practice and this NP!

Making the appointment over the phone was easier than online and the gentleman who made my appointment was extremely nice and friendly. The check in process & wait time both in the waiting room and waiting for NP was super quick. The medical assistant and NP were both so nice and attentive to all of my concerns. Since I’ve been there before so all I have to do is check in and they ask if I’d like to pay the copay now or later!! None of the repetitious pad or paper questions answered over and over! I was stunned. Everyone knows that goes annoyingly with most medical offices! Their availability is great! Their reminders are sufficient. I waited about 3 minutes to be seen and hardly more than 7 mins - 10 mins in general. Who knew going for a medical visit could be professional and pleasant? Usually you get sour faced front desk reception, endless waiting and unfriendly professionals. PA Katelyn is stellar! It’s worth your consideration. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! 😊

I have had all positive experiences with Schweiger. Starting with my caring, friendly and thorough PA Ilse Strauss in the Stony Brook office. Fortunately Ms. Strauss biopsied a suspicious mark on the top of my ear, which turned out to be basal cell carcinoma. I was then referred to Dr. Wendy Lou in the Smithtown office. She is a Moh's surgeon. Dr. Lou performed surgery twice on my ear before getting clear margins. She stitched my ear up like new and that meant 30 plus stitches!!! Her credentials are top notch and I knew I was in the best hands. The surgical office was absolutely immaculate and the staff was very informative and concerned for my comfort. I'd put myself in the capable hands of this office if I needed to again and highly recommend them!

Terrific experience with Dr Fastenberg over the last 4/5 years. He spends time listening and treating whatever is needed or desired. Makes you feel comfortable. I have been treated for medical and cosmetic procedures in addition to going 2x a year for skin scans. Have and will continue to recommend him!

My 17 year old son has been seeing Dr. Tara Koch since last fall and it’s been a wonderful experience!! We came for my sons acne issues, which were pretty bad at the time. We met with Tara & she spoke to my son in such a great & caring way. He actually listened to her & followed her skin care plan and within 4 months his skin was clear for the most part! I can’t say enough about Dr. Tara Koch & the staff! From the front desk & doctor assistants, everyone is wonderful! It’s the one doctors office I don’t mind going to!! I was seeing another dermatologist in Smithtown, not too satisfied with her. All they wanted to do was get me in every 3 months for no apparent reason just to collect money. I had to leave them based upon their cutting down are there prescription duration as to a reason to schedule another appointment. Very satisfied with my first office visit here, polite, and the doctor had a very good knowledge of my condition and prescribed meditation to me. He suggested medication & the outcome if I didn't treat this properly. A very pleased I will continue to come back to this office

I was greatful this place was able to fit me in first thing after the holidays. Being a new patient and all. The staff at the front desk and the medical assistant were all courteous, informative and respectful of privacy. I was seen by Mrs. Koch to discuss some concerns about small cysts in my earlobes and receive treetment. She explained the options, and I was able to get my questions answered. I have a $50 co-pay for specialists, shweiger asks for a $125 deposit which I never heard of. However I can understand if people dont realize they owe a certain % after the $xx.xx. insurance companies pay. And dont pay the doctors. With a follow up in two weeks and a full body skin cancer screening we shall see if the excellent service continues as expected or how the billing department works. Pleased with my visit and would recommend the office.

So far so good. Office staff was nice and helpful, squeezed me in at last minute even as a first time patient due to the urgency of visit.. Wait was a bit but that is to be expected at a doctors office. Dr Koss was very nice, asked questions, and took time to answer mine. It was a quick visit but she made sure to ask before leaving the room if I had any more questions, made sure to wait for me to think of any questions, and then took time to answer them.
