Must say from the start of my experience with Smart Energy and Harry Cannell, their sale rep has been nothing short of a pleasure. Harry's guidance and help with the interest free loan through to incident free installation of my solar panels and battery. I have nothing but praise for this company. Smart Energy have helped me with there app to track my electricity and keep abreast with the costs. Very Happy to recommend.
Had our 6.6kw system installed some time ago. Daniel explained everything in detail and Dallas was the installer. Everything was done quickly and professionally and they even installed an awning to help protect the inverter from the weather. Now that full sunny days are here, we are consistently feeding in more power than what we are purchasing. We are more than happy with Smart Energy
I had the hot water heat pump installed approximately 3 months ago and it’s one of the best investments I’ve made. We had hot water all through winter and never let us down. The installation was quick and easy replacing the old gas system within 2 hours, I would recommend Smart Energy for sure.

A well-organised and quality product.
We had long wanted to install rooftop solar power, but were wary of cheap deals using seccond rate panels. The representative from Smart Energy gave us all the information we needed in a non-pushy way, and convinced us that this is a quality, well-supported product. All phases of the process were clearly explained, and it was clear that all the staff involved were highly competent. Even allowing for delays to installation caused by windy weather, the whole process took only a matter of weeks. Our power costs have fallen to a little over a dollar a day, and the supply has been very reliable. Overall, we've found Smart Energy good to deal with, from sales to installation, and follow-up service too.

The Best Clayton's Sale ever - Buying without feeling like you're being sold to!
Firstly I'd like to give a shout out to the Door knocking appointment setter Rahim. I was not at home when he was doing his rounds, but he saw me arrive home & came back to introduce himself & chat with me about Solar. He saw we already had panels & asked if we had a battery. I advised no, that we were suggested to wait a few years before buying a battery, so Rahim asked if were interested in being contacted about purchasing a battery. Obviously I said yes. I think it was a week or so later we had the hilarious pleasure of meeting Harry - Prince Harry as he would jokingly say. We had sooo many laughs, learnt more about wholesale power in that night than I thought I'd ever understand & it was definitely a No Brainer to say Yes to purchasing a Solar Battery. It's been 3.5 days & whilst I'm yet to learn how to read the pictures below, I can see the battery is working well, even in the storms we have had this past week here in Ipswich QLD.

Arranged appointment with Salesman Hayden who new what he was talking about. I didn't have to wait for answers he new what he was talking about, thanks Hayden. Then the installers qualified solar electricians set back with weather but still got the job done, mine and others in a week rain everyday totally understandable still a very professional job with all solar accreditations finalised and documented. I installed the app got it working and wow very impressed with the finished product. Works better than expected and easily understandable in the app which doesn't leave out any information. Our Solar was installed just 3 days ago and it’s been very cloudy and raining ever since. Therefore, we could not see any benefit so far. Hopefully, in the next week or so we will see more sunshine. We are happy with the way the installation went the team of 4 tradies were very professional and they seem to know what they’re doing. Corey, the electrician, was so helpful and patient about explaining to us how the system works. He even helped me with the apps and how to go about it. Julia, the sales rep and assessor was also very professional and explained to us how it will save us money in the future for our energy bill. So far, we are fully aware that it will probably take us 6-7 years to recoup the money we spent on the system. We hope we are still here to see this happens.

We can’t rate the product as it is yet to be installed. Nevertheless, we felt compelled to make comment about the very professional sales consultant for Smart Energy. The fellow’s name was James Grant. It was a refreshing change to have someone who was able to answer all of our questions in a simple manner. He was an engineer and not the typical salesman. There was no set presentation. It was all about what we needed to know. There was no ‘hard sell’. James was very polite and punctual.

My solar panels were installed quite efficiently by the Smart Energy team and completed on the 1st of April. It has only today, 7th July, been connected to the grid. That took 3 months and 5 days for the new meter to be installed, by Tasmania's Aurora energy!! Very stressfull. They came 3 weeks ago and complained that my meter box was dirty with asbestos drillings and told me to get back to Smart Energy and get them to clean it up. They refused to come so I ended up cleaning it. Not a big deal really. So back on the waiting list but only had to wait a week this time.

Alannah the rep that came round and gave me the talk and opportunity was so friendly, helpful and amazing. The assessor for the installation came round and gave me 100% full bill of health and all was working. The guys have always checked in on me and any issue I'd been to lazy to ring and ask about I'd tell them and they were all over it straight away make note the issues I had were from weather and general wear and tear nothing to do with the guys that done the work. We had our solar installed by smart energy a fee years ago now, sales team was informative but not pushy. Install team was friendly and prompt and kept us in the loop along the way. After sales support was great. The fact they offer Certigy/Humm payment plan was very helpful rather than having to fork out a lump sum, our system repayments are the same as what we were paying for our bills anyway. We average 12kw or daily use and now make between 125 and 250 credit 3 qtrs of the year and pay a 40$ bill in winter. I think that's the most important part people need to read about there solar install :) 6kw system with 24 solars panels 12 eastward 12 westward.

Smart energy is wonderful, after receiving my last power bill of $1200 I had them install 18 of their German made solar panels this only took 2 days, my last bill was $98. Any problem which I had was a location one their kind staff fixed within 1 day. I would recommend them to anyone.

The whole process from start to finish was smooth and hassle free. Mathew the Sales specialist was very informative and explained the whole process. Huey from the customer service team was very helpful and organised the installation date and set up of Smart meter with our electricity provider. The installation team was very professional and they did an excellent job. The whole installation process took a couple of hours and was done to a high standard. It’s been two weeks since the Solar Energy system was turned on so I can't comment on the performance yet. I am hopeful the outcome will be positive and there will be huge savings on electricity bills.

I have a alpha ess battery + q cell panels on north and west side. It’s sat at 3pm, I have been running the dish washer and dryer non stop since 9am and I’m still sending electricity to the grid. 85% self sufficiency and we have planted 5.84 trees.

The Installers were great, doing the job in the allocated time, minimal fuss to us ;and were very pleasant and courteous while on our property. I found them very helpfull, we made a time for a consultant to come over to my house that suited me. Then claudia come round went through my electricity bill, by doing this we found out that I would be better off with solar. I've been looking for solar for a while now and smart energy were the only company that took time to go through everything. I found claudia to be kind, thoughtful,professional and honest. Without her going through everything I might be still looking for a solar company. I would recommend any one to give them a go
I have had nothing but trouble with my system and this company has very poor customer service. I have paid a lot of money for the solar panels and the battery and my electricity still keeps drawing from the grid not the battery. I have requested this to be fixed on numerous occasions but Smart Energy has not fixed the problem. One very expensive and unrewarding experience.
After feeling somewhat relieved thinking my issues with my battery were going to be resolved, they haven't. I have waited now 6 weeks for my battery to be fixed and my next step will be to go to the Ombudsman as we feel we just want this resolved. I'm at the point where I'd rather they just uninstalled it and gave us our money back.
Kerry did a wonderful job in setting up the project and then the team who came Don and co were awesome. This was the second company we used for solar and overall our experience has been better.
We cant rate the product as it is yet to be installed. Nevertheless, we felt compelled to make comment about the very professional sales consultant for Smart Energy. The fellows name was James Grant. It was a refreshing change to have someone who was able to answer all of our questions in a simple manner. He was an engineer and not the typical salesman. There was no set presentation. It was all about what we needed to know. There was no hard sell. James was very polite and punctual.
