100/10 for CA Skin Institute. I came in about two years ago with an EXTREMELY bad case of acne, and we realized it was even more severe than just acne and I had acne congloblata. My acne was so bad my quality of life was being affected and I was very depressed and had a pretty emotional first few sessions with Ashley Dominique. I never for a moment was made to feel bad for being emotional and my skin issues were treated with urgency and excelent bed side manner. After Ashley’s guidance, a handful of rounds of microneedling and a round of Accutane my skin is nearly back to how it looked before, which I honestly thought was impossible. The front desk staff are also always very kind and I am seen quickly. I cannot thank Ashley and CA Skin Institute enough!

But, the Drs & staff are wonderful in their care & explanations of procedures & treatments. Making an appointment is easy as they usually have a wide selection of times to accommodate most schedules.

They seem to have time management well executed and so there's very little wait time in the lobby or in the exam room. I also want to mention that almost every single Dermatology practice that I have been a patient at they never get the prescriptions correct. At some offices I've had to call multiple times to have the corrections made and to communicate with the mail order service that things aren't being sent in correctly spending lots of time on the phone . Not the case with this particular office they got it right the first time! Yay! Thank you thank you thank you for getting my prescriptions to the mail order pharmacy correct the first time! What a blessing! Keep up the great service and smiles!

Okay, reading the reviews on here is so wild. I have had the best experience with California Institute! Dr. Ashley Dominique is the GOAT. The first day i came i explained my situation (a bunch of acne, post hormonal skin issues, acne scars, dark spots, aging) - you name it i had it! We started with a round of accutane and it completely cleared my acne. She also prescribed a couple ointments to help with dark spots and aging. Post accutane i told her i wanted to clear my scarring and dark spots. We have started with a clear and brilliant laser and also microneedling. Before this i went to evolve in oceanside, they were good at facials and stuff, but being medically treated by the right doctor is the answer to all of your skin issues. I even started getting my botox here too. Anyways, rant over, but if your looking for a "hot girl winter", youre looking for Dr. Ashley Dominique. YOURE WELCOME

Dr. Nickerson did Moh surgery on my hand. He made what could of been a miserable experience very comfortable. He has explains things very well and takes his time with you and makes you feel important when he is with you. He took his time with me in all 3 of my appointments. Ashley Dominique has been an incredible help to me throughout my rosacea treatments. She was the first person I saw initially at Encinitas Skin Institute and I am so lucky to have been assigned to her care. She prescribed topical and oral treatments that worked within 3 days. I returned for laser treatment at the same location but ended up following Ashley to the other location in Vista because she is just that amazing. I’ve battled hormonal acne my entire life but after I got Mirena IUD it was the worst it’s ever been. I started seeing this clinic about a year ago and now my skin looks great. Some clinics look at your face for 3 seconds and send you on your way, but here they have always taken detailed histories, talked and LISTENED about my issues, and generally made me feel like a person instead of another copay. Highly recommend them for adult acne.
