The waiting time was not pleasing but Dr Blumenstrauch was fantastic it’s been a long time since I have had a doctor who was friendly respectful of my time he actually sincerely apologized for running late He was kind professional and treated me like a human being No computer did he used he actually engaged with me and I felt very comfortable with his professional approach with lots of human touches What a refreshing change from the majority of doctors today! PA Krishna Patel is my "go to" for dermatology needs. I live far from the Schweiger Clinic, but I won't go to any other. Ms Patel is friendly but very capable. She asks pertinent questions and examines/looks at the affected skin. And she gives the right medication. She must be busy, though, because it's not easy to get an appointment. However, when one is a longtime patient, like I am, you can tell the scheduler so and you would be fit in. Or you can ask for a video visit. Anyway, it is worth waiting for Ms. PATEL. Her Assistant, Mariah, is also very capable. Her smile is very expensive, though, still you can be sure she sends the right prescribed medication s to your right pharmacy.

Beyond pleased with my experience here. From the front desk, to the MA, to the dermatologist himself. Daisy at the front desk was so sweet & I could not recommend Dr Blumenstrauch more. He is very knowledgeable, kind, he listens and is collaborative with care. The world really needs more doctors like him! I found him from reviews online and needed to do so myself because he is truly amazing. The only negative reviews I saw were wait times. I personally only waited a short time to be seen but having been to multiple dermatologists and getting sub par care at best, I would have waited hours to see Dr B knowing I am well cared for. He is well worth any wait! I am so happy to have found a dermatologist I trust! Thank you :)

Today I was seen by Dr. Breithaupt and his assistant Marisa. He removed a skin cancer, sutured my wound and sent me on my way. I have to commend Dr Breithaupt for his skill, but more than that, for his rapport with his patients. This is the second time he removed skin cancer from me. My arm was first and now my leg. There are no signs of stitches on my arm, and I’m sure my leg will be the same. He’s young, knowledgeable, fun. I recommend him for anyone needing removal of cancer cells.

I recently had my first Botox treatment at California Skin Institute and the experience was smooth and professional from start to finish. The staff was welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away, and the provider took time to explain everything clearly and tailor the treatment to my needs. The office is very clean and inviting, and they even had bagels and a fruit bar available which was such a nice touch. Parking is validated so make sure to grab a ticket from the lot and bring it inside. I’m really glad I chose this place for my first Botox experience and would definitely recommend it.

Today was my first appointment with Dr Julia Kwan, Dermatologist, Torrance CA and frankly after reading several reviews online, I was apprehensive as to what my experience might be. Having said that, I found Dr. Kwan to be the exact opposite from the less than complimentary reviews previously posted. I found Dr. Kwan to be extremely nice, she was not rushed, she answered every question I had while conducting a full body skin check for anything amiss that my 68 year old body could present. We discussed several options for my visit today and made a plan for potential future needs. I felt 100% taken care of in a positive, polite, and caring way. I would whole heartedly recommend Dr. Kwan to anyone needing a new Dematologist and I am glad to have found a new doctor that I feel will help me take care of my skin/issues for years to come.

I was referred to Karina by a nurse at another place to treat facial capillaries. I’ve had many other treatments including IPL but my skin is very resistant so didn’t think it would work but she was so knowledgeable and reassuring and after one quick treatment, it really made a difference!! I urgently was looking for dermatologist since my daughter was having painful outbreaks back to back that I thought was gone, and after of calling over 15 different practices, I came across CSI who was able to see her same day . I knew I did not want to take her back to an urgent care because they typically “patch” up the issue and not get to the root of it. The physician was able to confirm my daughters diagnoses while telling me my child was not prescribed the medication long enough which is they the infection came back. I was glad that a culture was taken so I can know exactly what is going on. I was given different antibiotics with longer treatment time and was happy that the doctor wants to follow up to see how she’s doing.

7/26/20204 UPDATE: Just went for a follow up visit to Karina Ritter and the wait was only 5 minutes and all the staff were very friendly. Dr Ritter took note of my issues and explained clearly the why and the how as she always does. She’s especially helpful with prescribing the right medication and advising how to avail of the ways to lower costs of the drugs. This is the dermatologist you want! The clinic is located in a medical building with a pay paring lot. You may also park in the street for free but it’s usually packed. While the building is old and dated, the clinic underwent some refurbishing a year ago or so and looks very nice. The waiting area can easily fit 20. Not sure how many doctors there are but i have been seeing Karina Ritter for my skin needs ever since coming here about 5 years ago. She is absolutely amazing. She spends enough time explaining the issues and treatment options. Plus she is wonderful to talk to as a person. If all doctors had her personality, many patients would walk out feeling better already! California Skin Institute does some cosmetics too so if you find needs for that, this is the place!

What a pleasant visit with Rachel Lau, PA. She is knowledgeable and patient . Takes time to listen and explain her findings . This office is super busy and it is hard to make an appointment . However , I am confident their doctors , PA and NP are all super competent and experienced . I appreciate Rachel so much for seeing me !

My visit to the California Skin InstituteI took all of about 30 minutes. I waited no more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. I was taken to the examination room an assistant who updated my health condition and changes to medications, etc. Another 5 minute wait and I was joined by Rachel, a very conscientious and thorough physician's assistant. She checked on changes from my previous visit, did several keratoses removals, took a sample of one suspicious irregularity (it later was found to be a squamous cell growth). I'm so glad that I'm having my skin surfaces checked regularly especially those areas that have spent many hours soaking up the sun while surfing, fishing and all the other outdoor available in Southern California. For me it started long before one talked about ozone depletion and SPFs. The discovery of this particular irregularity makes me know that a simple 30 minute office visit twice a year is a worthwhile autionary measure. Rachel always takes good care of me..

Yesterday I visited Dr. Blumenstrauch at the California Skin Institute in Torrance on my husband’s recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised to get my appointment in one day, thanks to a cancellation. The office is well run, very organized and friendly. I had barely sat down in the waiting room when my name was called and I was taken to an exam room. Shortly Dr. Blumenstrauch came in and introduced himself. He’s a very pleasant and friendly doctor who listened attentively to my concerns, the reasons for my visit. He took the time to explain things and answer all my questions and performed a painless little biopsy during the visit. I found Dr. Blumenstrauch to be professional, extremely knowledgeable, and pleasant. He has a good sense of humor as well!
