I just moved to the desert and settled on this dermatologist. The main guy is not taking new patients but Dr Liasi seems very professional. She did a MOH's procedure which concerned me because of potential scarring. But she did a great job. The office is a long way (40 min) from our home but I chose it because of the ratings I read and it's modern and comfortable. In fact there are rarely more than one or two other people in the huge waiting room and it seems unusually quiet even in the back.

Simply the best! I came in for MOHS surgery on my ear, and I could not be happier with my treatment. Dr Liasi is amazing! Thoroughly explained the procedure and made it as pain free and efficient as possible. The entire staff is beyond amazing! Professional and fantastic at what they do. So, my friend scheduled the appointment via ZocDoc and we got an appointment within a few days! We got called in quickly, the staff were kind and professional, and they took my concerns seriously, even though they believed I was fine. That is very big for me since I’ve had doctors not take me seriously in the past and the issue only got worse. They offered to do a biopsy right then and there and, as weird as this may sound, it was a 10/10 experience! I didn’t feel anything! They were kind and professional, and the numbing agent they injected? I didn’t even feel the first prick! The operation was quick and i was out before I knew it! If you have any skin concerns, especially if they might require a small biopsy, go here!

Both the doctor and assistant were courteous and demonstrated appropriate care and concern. A biopsy was recommended and performed quickly without innecessary fanfare. I had the best ever patient experience at the Kentfield California Skin Institute. I could write a long review with as many superlatives as possible about the exceptionally amazing staff, and it would still fall short. It needs to be experienced. Dr. Lowenstein was comforting with the ease of his work on my skin lesion and the assurance of his knowledge on what it was about - all done with a friendly and caring manner, with a lightness of being and real smile in his eyes. A long time patient of Dr. Diana Parnell encouraged me to call for an immediate appointment, if possible. I have never had a call for a first appointment as heartwarming and uplifting as with Adriana whose competence came across enwrapped with such warmth and caring over the phone. It was even better in person at the front desk the next day. Nurse Noel made me feel even more cared for. Literally loved, yet all done with professionalism. We chatted as though we have had a long established relationship. Knowing my particular circumstances, she offered me a ride so I would 'not be late and stressed’ to another clinic appointment, which Adriana graciously fulfilled! That's just amazing! Where is this kind of going beyond the usual excellent service, with thoughtfulness and generosity of heart, to be found in a health care service? In this clinic, run with competence and sincere caring - all with love. The staff clearly love their work AND their patients. They are simply the best. They are courteous, professional, efficient, and thorough. They take incredible pride in their work and I not only respect that but can’t emphasize enough how important that is. Especially if you ever get a cancer on your face or other exposed area. I can’t remember exactly how long I’ve been a patient but it’s approaching 30 years and I’ve never had a negative experience of any kind.

Dr. Reviewed my skin condition. He was not kind or sensitive and suggested I had bugs in my enironment. Went home, got a service to tear my house apart. No bugs. In the meantime I am suffering from itchy welts with a steroid cream that does not help. Had to go to emergency the following day.

I just had my first appointment at the California Skin Institute in Kentfield and was impressed with every single person - from Penny at the reception desk, to Noel my nurse, to Dr. Lowenstein - everyone was so courteous, friendly, and professional. I received laser treatment for Rosacea and Noel was extremely thoughtful in explaining the process and the potential side affects from the treatment. She and Dr. Lowenstein were both very thorough and were open to any questions or concerns. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured, which can sometimes be the case in busy practices. I’ll definitely be back, despite having to make the trek from SF.

I wish that there were more than five stars available. I would rate Dr. Richardson and his staff a SOLID TEN STARS! I was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma cancer on my calf this past week. Dr. Richardson squeezed me in to his schedule and performed MOHS surgery this morning. His office staff is exceptional from Reception to the Technicians to the Nursing Staff to the Physican Assistant to the Doctor. I could not be more pleased. By having Dr. Richardson perform MOHS surgery I am confident that my squamous cancer will not return. I highly recommend Mirage Dermatology to anyone requiring skin cancer treatment.
