Description
New York Skin and Vein Center was founded in 2001 by Dr. Dohner. Dr. Eric Dohner is the area's only board-certified varicose vein specialist (ABVLM). Originally opened in Oneonta, NY as Oneonta Laser Derm, his practice expanded into dermatology and aesthetic treatments, leading to their re-brand to New York Skin and Vein Center. They now have 5 locations with 3 dermatology PA's and NP's, 5 laser and injection nurses, with two private surgical facilities for your safety, convenience, and privacy. Their locations are in Oneonta, Norwich, Binghamton, Cobleskill, and Hamilton, NY.

I highly recommend Schweiger Dermatology in Oneonta. I had a large spot on my upper cheekbone that I thought was skin cancer, but it turned out to be a broken blood vessel (thank you, Stanley Anderson, for your diagnosis at the Norwich office). Mr. Anderson recommended I have it removed by Kathy Dungan at the Oneonta office. I decided to follow his advice and I'm so happy I did! Kathy is incredible! She gave me the option of removing the single large spot only or doing my whole face. She explained pricing, the procedures, what I could expect, after-care. I ended up choosing to have my whole face "cleaned up". I didn't realize how bad my skin was until after Kathy finished treating me! She is masterful with the laser! The big spot on my face is gone, but there were so many other "spots" that are now gone as well, and my face looks so much better, so much clearer! I'm so happy with the results! Kathy is so knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely a nice person. My wife was so amazed with Kathy's work that she booked an appointment with her as well! Highly recommend.

I hid under globs of make up for way too many years. When I found out that there was a way to remove my pesky brown spots I was both ecstatic and nervous, I didn't know what to expect at all. But from the very first visit with Kathy my questions were answered thoroughly and with total honesty. Kathy is so incredibly knowledgeable. When I asked what to expect the days after my spots were treated and how exactly to care for the scabs at home, Kathy was beyond helpful. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that I am able to wear my hair away from my face now because my skin is now what I have always wished for. Dr. Dohner is a highly skilled professional with a great bedside manner. He matter of factly walks you through each step of your procedure. You are in skilled hands under his care, and he does amazing work. His staff is professional, courteous, and always warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Dohner for all of your asthetic needs. A+ August 2024 update. I told Dr. D about my incessant teeth grinding, and he recommended maseter botox to calm those muscles. It's only been 3 days, but my face is so less tense. I know I'm not grinding as hard at night because my teeth do not hurt. There's an aesthetic benefit as well. I'm soooo happy he recommended this. I can move my jaw much more fluidly. Dr. D is highly skilled.

Kathy Dungan, who is a laser specialist at the Oneonta office, is extremely good at what she does. She has a very calming presence and makes me feel 100 percent comfortable. I had purchased the laser package of three for laser genesis. So far I have had two sessions. I’m very happy and very impressed because my overall complexion and skin barrier is better than ever!! I have scar tissue at the edge of my Left eye and as l’ve got older it’s become more evident (something that l found a bit depressing) I had resorted to complicated makeup in order to hide the scars, but it wasn’t really effective. Last week Dr D suggested a browlift and wow!!! With just a simple injection the scar tissue is invisible again and l look 10 years younger. Kate and her fabulous facials along with their full line of ZO products (a must for maintenance as the good Dr. will tell you) have transformed my skin to the point that I can't believe it's me! I now get compliments on my skin all the time. Dr. Dohner has made me look refreshed with his expert knowledge and application of Botox on my forehead! He removed a mole on my upper lip that looked like an alien with 3 relentless hairs growing out of it. Using laser technology, he shaved it off leaving my lip line as God created it! I wanted to finally leave an online review of the (EVLT) surgery that Dr. Dohner performed for me a few years ago. I had consulted with another doctor regarding the surgery I needed and did not like what was explained to me. I chose to get a second opinion from Dr. Dohner and I am very happy I did because I chose him to do the operation, which turned out even easier than I anticipated. I never really needed any pain medication other than the local numbing agents that were used during the operation. The environment in the operating room was very comfortable and relaxed, yet professional. I am very happy to be able to highly recommend Dr. Dohner.
