I had my first Mohs surgery yesterday with Dr. Li. Dr. Li and Alex made me feel very comfortable knowing I had immense anxiety about the procedure. After everything was said and done, I'd have to say the experience was way better than getting an MRI. ;) Today my incision is healing nicely.

Yesterday I had a Moshs procedure and was extremely scared and nervous going in, but my experience at this office completely changed how I felt. Nurse Alex went above and beyond-she personally called me back, tnok me into a room, and took the time to explain everything in a way that truly calmed my fears. She was so patient, compassionate, and reassuring when I needed it most. Dr. Li is kind , knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and confident in my care from the moment Ii met him. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. The entire staff was friendly, and attentive, which made such a difference in a stressful time for me.

I had a skin rash, that caused a scheduled surgery be canceled at the hospital Went right in, they were able to get me right in Jessica made a diagnosis and did a punch biopsy to confirm, and Jessica was correct at first sight of it. Been in treatment for starting the 3rd week and have a follow up appt next month. The front office staff has been awesome through all of this.

Javier, PA, is so compassionate, kind, understanding and gentle. He treated some of my skin problems and took 4 biopsies. 2 out of 4 needed Mohs procedure. Dr. Li did the surgery and everyone in The office told me that he does an amazing job. One of the surgeries was on my face and one was on my leg. I’m including a picture of my face 4 1/2 weeks out. I am so pleased and amazed at how well of a job he did.

Ever since California Skin Institute relocated to the big black build ing on McHenry, you need to allow 20-30 minutes to find a parking space. It's only going to get worse with new construction on parking lot. Most of the parking spots are "Reserved" for doctors or specialists. They took away a few handicap parking spaces for "Courier" vehicles. The couriers are not there except for a few minutes to deliver or pick up packages. Although the service is good, it's not worth the frustration in finding a parking spot.

Having had some nasty melanomas in my life I was extremely happy with this facility and the people. Highly recommend 👌 Have had other appointments including one today. After calling several dermatologists clinics and couldn't get a soon appointment I called California Skin Institute Dermatology Clinic and they were able to see me the next day. I saw PA Keren and her assistant Celest both were very attentive and listened to my concerns and answered my questions as best as possible. I would recommend this experience for people who need a soon dermatology appointment and a PA who is attentive and knowledgeable. They are located on McHenry Ave on the left side of the black building on the 4th floor.

I’ve been very satisfied with the overall experience at California Skin Institute. My only complaint is how busy they’ve become. I initially went in to see Dr Tran who saw me over the course of several years, then I was shuttled off to Jessica, the PA. She’s been fine but when I inquired about seeing Dr Tran I was informed that he is no longer seeing patients except for surgery. Seems like sort of a bait and switch!

The doctor burned a growth (very tiny horn-like hard growth) behind my ear (which is why I made the visit in the first place) and she discovered many pre-cancerous lesions that she encouraged me to have burned off that visit, which I did.
