He not only has a deep wisdom of dermatology that I haven't yet seen in other doctors of the same specialty, but he also presents in an authentic humorous manner. He offers the perfect level of explanation that the patient requests. In my last visit, the doctor went beyond the general issues I was having and helped even with things that I would've thought he might not consider to be his specialty. The office staff is courteous and efficient and has improved since my first visit. The medical assistants are kind and effective. There are no mistakes in choosing this dermatology practice!

To say this office is small and quaint is an understatement. The doctor occasionally peeks in and greets his patients as he did me, assuring me the initial (detailed) paperwork would be a one time deal. He’s adorably short, has an unending twinkle in his eyes and flippy gray hair. It would be unprofessional to call him an elf, but with his assuring smile and can do attitude, he kinda is! He assured me my problem was going to get solved ‘today’- and it was. He deserved a hug for the pain relief, so I gave him one. I’m sending my husband there just for the experience of meeting him and taking care of his occasional skin cancer. The place is a little difficult to find initially, but the GPS is very helpful.

Dr Anhalt is the best there is at wound healing! He knows stuff they don’t know at El Camino ER or PAMF. In one case I had a crater on my foot where all the layers of skin used to be. The stitches couldn’t hold it together. For two weeks there was no healing. Then I thought to go see Dr A. He troweled in an ointment I never heard of and boom, by the next morning there was a whole lot of new tissue and blood vessels! Maybe he’ll tell you the name of it in a reply. 😉

I walked into Dr. Anhalt’s office with fears and lots of worries. Because of worry about my skin issue, I asked Dr. Anhalt several questions. Some of my questions might be annoying to him. But he told me that I could ask him any questions that I wanted. He repeated answers again and again to me very patiently with caring and understanding. He comforted me and then gave me the proper treatment. I have been looking for a very good dermatologist. I believe Dr. Anhalt is definitely the one. He is wonderful and excellent!
