I have had multiple dermatologists due to a condition that was misdiagnosed for nearly 15 years. When I saw Dr. Gutmark, she immediately ordered a biopsy (no dermatologist had ever ordered one before), and although the insurance company initially denied her request, she did not waver, and shortly thereafter I was correctly diagnosed with something that multiple dermatologist missed. For the first time in my adult life, she was able to correctly treat me for something I had been suffering with for years. Her medical skill, bedside manner, and empathy for her patients is unmatched. She is the best dermatologist I have ever encountered and I would highly recommend her to anyone I love.

Ive been here for several issues, and have been very happy with my care. They do get busy but Ive never had to wait too long for my scheduled appointments. Dr. Gutmark is great at her job and is also mindful of how scars heal for minor procedures, and does her best to minimize scarring and is always open to conversations with patients about preferences. I have been treated in this office for over 10 years, and have always received the best of care, including for 4 Moh’s surgeries for squamous cell removal (with skillful constructive or even plastic surgery involved) and 2 minor basal cell extractions. Countless check-ups and lots of biopsies, always treated by Dr. Gutmark or Henderson or Moule as if my issues were as important as anything else on their agenda. Dr. Gutman is the best of the best. I have had an unusual case of eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and whatever other skin related issue other than cancer thank God for my entire life. She provided me with dupixent and told me in 3 months 99% of my skin condition will be healed. Modern day miracle. I thank her and the makers of Dupixent for a chance to finally stop itching which I do non stop in every condition and over the top when I sweat. Basically, I'm allergic to my own sweat. I also got a skin infection and had boils all over my body particularly on my arms and chest. Modern day Job is the level of tests and suffering brought on to me by the devil but whom shall I fear when I have God on my side. Nobody. Nobody. That's whom I shall dear. Thank you Dr. Guzman you saved my life so to speak because it's not living the way we are mea t to live if you are allergic to your own sweat. This was my first visit to the office and it was a clean and welcoming environment and I was seen quickly after completing my paperwork. Dr. Liu was professional, explained what was happening in the appointment well (annual skin cancer screening) and answered all of my questions. The receptionists were slightly less professional however. As I was waiting for my appointment I witnessed one receptionist share pictures (that were apparently alarming) of a patient’s face and their reaction to a skin cancer treatment with the other receptionist in a very unprofessional manner. I had just overheard this receptionist asking the doctor for advice to share with the patient regarding her reaction to the treatment. I certainly wouldn’t want private information that I had sent into the clinic shared amongst all the staff, but it probably happens everywhere. In addition, there were forms to be filled out prior to the appointment that were apparently not shared with the doctor or nurse as the nurse asked me all of the exact same questions about any medications I was taking and potential allergies. The areas of concern that I endorsed on the initial form had not been reviewed and if I hadn’t asked those questions again, my doctor wouldn’t have been aware. It’s just frustrating for me as a patient to be asked to fill out multiple forms when it seems more often than not, that the information isn’t shared and I end up answering all the questions again. Finally, Dr. Liu referred me back to the receptionist for pricing on services that I had inquired about, but the receptionist was unaware of how to provide that information and there was confusion and a slight delay in trying to acquire the cost, and I’m not sure the service I requested was quoted accurately. I will be returning as I think Dr. Liu is very capable and was friendly and informative.

It is well worth my 2-3 hour round trip in hopeless LA traffic to see Dr. Gutmark. She made an impression in my first exam with her several years ago - she did the most thorough exam for skin cancer I had ever had, and was likewise thoughtful in her time to respond to all my questions - and that is the main reason why I continue to see her despite moving far away. She has helped me with all my skin issues and concerns, and it really helps to have a history with her; I especially like that they now take pictures on the iPad to refer back to problem spots or areas to continue monitoring. Staff is usually responsive and pleasant as well, and the office is clean, so all around good experience.

I would only give Dr Weaver" one star": total waste of e time! My first visit,I complained of a new rash on lower legs with itching! I was prescribed medications.He had shared, that he had never seen or heard of that before! On my follow up visit, my legs still had discoloration to them both without the itching! I was at least expecting a biospy to be done on my skin! I was shown pictures of other person with spots on there legs, and then told, I would have to just live with this discoloration and nothing else can be done! I immediately called my primary doctor and requested to find me a real dermatologist office that could at least tell me what the issue may be,by taking a skin graft/ bisopy something more than a visual opinion,which means nothing! The many stars prior was only for the office decor as it has a very professional look! But has a " clueless doctor dealing with patients seeking answers",than showing pictures and advise of just live with it,as I don't even know, what I'm living with! Very sad and unprofessional! " Patients Beware Tag" needs to be posted with the masked up signs!

I’ve been a patient for about 6 months. So far my experience has been great, but the reason I’ve given this office 4 stars is because it is very difficult to get in contact with the office and the front end is not so friendly at times. I do try my best to be understanding considering we are all going through so much during this pandemic and it can be very stressful. Nonetheless, Dr. Gutmark has given me some relief on my skin condition. I’m still undergoing treatment, but I’ve made a huge improvement since I first visited their office back in March. I honestly had no hope of feeling better and after receiving proper treatment, I believe I’m on my way to feeling back to my old self again. There is parking in the building, but their office does not validate and street parking is also available too. Coffee shops are located across the street as well.

5/24/21 Update: My eyes are still a bit swollen and blue in the underside. I read up and it says that the filler might have been injected a little high. I called just now and spoke to Sandra. She said someone should call me by end of day today. I would complain but someone just asked me what was up with my eyes. Lol. I’ll post an update later. This is office is sooo awesome! Clean bright and the energy is sooo great. Jenny and Karen were sooo polite and welcoming. Dr. Nguyen is freaking great too! She has a light touch, totally friendly beside manner. totally felt like I was getting a hair cut not a cosmetic procedure. They don’t validate which sucks since your gonna drop a decent amount. Other offices seem like you have to pay to ask a question or refer to the FAQ. Jackie answered all my initial questions. I paid my initial $75 which was applied to my procedure. I was in and out in 32 mins. Great experience! Coming back. Thanks guys!

But you can park around the corner on Lucas, which has no parking restrictions except 12-3pm street sweeping on Fridays.

This location is the personification 5 stars. I booked an appointment online 2 hrs before I arrived at Dr. Nguyen’s dermatology office. Dr. Nguyen & her assistant Sara were awesome. Within a few minutes Dr. Nguyen was able to diagnose my issue and create a treatment plan for me moving forward. Sara shortly after sent my prescription to the local Rite Aid, next to my home, which made pick up incredibly easy. Sara also blessed me with a discount card which cut the cost of the prescription in half and saved me almost $50. Thank you. Will only business at this location moving forward.

The building itself is kinda old but when you open the doors to their office it looks and feels like they newly remodeled their space. It’s clean and bright. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted. They screen your temperature when you walk in and have you fill out a short Covid questionnaire. There are antibacterial hand pumps placed in the waiting rooms and at the front desk. Everyone is wearing masks and I definitely felt safe. I went in for my annual check up. Dr. Gutmark and the rest of the staff were so friendly and answered all my weird skin questions in a professional yet easygoing way.
