I can see where the basal cell was and after it completely heals my ear appears to not have changed much if at al. They are all very nice. I love thus place. I am not a fan of skin cancer, my fault. I came with my client who had the appointment. She is terribly afraid of needles, and any sort of surgical procedure. Dr Francis managed to put her at ease and by engaging with her through the entire process, she actually.made it a pleasant experience for her. When I was driving her back home, she had nothing but praise for Dr Francis, and Sam, who was assisting. The only hard part was the initial sign-in process which was difficult for Barbara and partially redundant between the online tablet portion and paper form portion.

Great staff and doctor! I do body modification for a living. Most of the time when I go to get blood drawn or have a procedure done I have comment on cross contamination and complain. Not with this office. Their sterile procedures were on point. The doctor let me watch and walked me through the whole procedure while he was doing it. The compassion, effective treatments, and consultation by Dr. Elbaum and his assistant Georgia have been outstanding. Georgia is always delightful and professional, even when I am late for appointments, compounding the busy patient load that CSI accommodates. I’ve never felt negatively judged here. Dr. Elbaum has given the most effective Kenalog injections to date for eliminating any lesions necessary, so that I can have a better quality of life and not be distracted or embarrassed by my acne. I was permitted to have an additional month of Accutane treatment per my request to be sure of long-term results which are out of my control but have been realized upon the care received by Dr. Elbaum and Georgia who are truly remarkable medical professionals who make me feel cared for to have good results in the treatment at CSI. Anyone will be fortunate to receive the care of this dynamic dermatology duo.

The doctor was straight forward. He looked at it said it was not cancerous and asked if I wanted it shaven. I said no. I did not bring it up but I wanted it removed. By his actions he had no worry about it. Showed me pictures of bad bumps and mine did not look like any of them. I think ALL doctors are over worked. He spent his 10 minutes with me. I am used to it the VA hospital and clinics are the same way. Except that I only waited half hour instead of one to two hours at the VA hospital or clinics. I was VERY HAPPY with the visit.

Being in my 30s, I was distraught to have a referral for MOHS on my forehead to remove basal cell. However I instantly felt at ease upon meeting Dr Wells and the California Skin Institute staff. He walked me through the process. He also caught a smaller spot on my hairline ~ so I was able to have both spots removed in one MOHS appointment. The surgeries went great. I was impressed with how Dr. Wells talks to his staff (kindly) while also informatively soothing me on the operating table (also kindly) while also performing the surgery (he has a very expert gentle touch!). Since I am cash pay, I had to decide if I should have Dr Wells perform the closure stitches or double my price tag by thousands of dollars and go to a plastic surgeon. I spent a lot of time thinking about it, but in the end felt very comfortable and confident in Dr. Wells’ abilities. I am currently at 3 months post surgery and the L shape scar on my forehead is healing nicely. My other reason for 5 star review is I am cash pay. Ca Skin Institute was amazing at working with me as a cash pay patient. They gave me a total price upfront and it was very straightforward and all inclusive. I appreciated their honesty and extremely friendly organized office staff when dealing with the financial side of this rather expensive surgery. Also I appreciated a recommendation by staff to use biocorneum and silicone bandaids to help with scarring. As compared to older scars on my skin, I think these two things (plus a great surgeon) has helped with healing. All in all, I would def recommend Dr Wells if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation needing MOHS. If not, slather on that sunscreen and count yourself lucky!

I have to say Doctor Lee was very professional. It was my first visit and it was obvious to me he knew what he was doing. He asked all the right questions and gave me a straight forward answer. It wasn't exactly the answer is was looking for, but was truthful. He gave me an injection for a very difficult issue I was having and I have to say three days in it is working much better then I had ever imagined!

I was referred to this practice after a visit to my primary physician. At first I was referred to multiple different dermatologists that couldn’t get me in for month or didn’t accept my insurance, it was a nightmare. I needed to get in to a dermatologist quickly. Finally I was referred to Dr. Lee. When I first called it was after hours, I left a message and they called me back the next day. They were able to make me an appointment within a couple weeks due to my work schedule. My appointment went well, they checked me in after getting my new patient paperwork. I was taken back within 10 minutes although I was early to my appointment. The procedure rooms were clean, organized, and relaxing thanks to the soft music being played at a low volume. I was early so I had to wait for Dr. Lee but his medical assist routinely checked in on me. She was friendly and professional. Dr. Lee was able to address my concerns and get me treated within 30 minutes of my appointment time. Great overall experience and I would highly recommend this practice to any of my family and friends.
