From the very beginning, my experience was amazing, and I really want to highlight how incredible PA Sharone Sabo was throughout the entire process. I first called their call center on a Monday and explained everything my three-month-old baby was dealing with. I honestly expected to wait a while for a callback, but I was pleasantly surprised when they called me back the very next day. Not only that, but they were able to get my baby seen the SAME day as the callback, which was such a relief for me as a worried mom. Going into the appointment, I was extremely nervous and apprehensive because my baby is only three months old, and this is primarily an adult dermatology practice. I wasn’t sure what to expect. On the day of the appointment, I arrived with both my three-month-old and my very rambunctious three-year-old, and from the moment Sharone Sabo walked into the room, she completely put me at ease. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, calm, and personable. What really stood out to me was her ability to manage the entire room effortlessly. She was able to thoroughly examine and diagnose my baby while also interacting with and keeping my energetic three-year-old occupied while I dressed and undressed the baby. As a mom, that meant EVERYTHING to me because appointments with small children can feel overwhelming. Most importantly, she correctly diagnosed my baby’s yeast rash after he had already been seen by his pediatrician and had been using a cream for over three weeks with absolutely no improvement. Sharone prescribed two creams, and within about three days I noticed a huge difference. Not only was she excellent at diagnosing the issue, but her treatment plan actually worked quickly and effectively. At the follow-up appointment, the experience was just as positive. Same professionalism, same kindness, same amazing bedside manner. She never rushed the appointment, took her time examining my baby, constantly asked if I had questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed the entire time. Every appointment was punctual, as soon as I arrived, I was seen. I also want to acknowledge the assistants and staff who were wonderful and helpful as well. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Sharone Sabo, PA-C. She is truly exceptional, knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, professional, and amazing with children and parents alike. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. I am so grateful for the care my baby received and would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

my wife and kids have been going to dr basuk for at least 30 yrs. i finally got on the bandwagon last week after being sick and tired of rosesca . i had gone to a doctor closer to my house that was useless. after some pills, a creme, and advice, its clearing up. she also found a small bit of cancer by my nose, to be dealt with in only 2 weeks from now. she cupped my head in her hands, looked me right in the eyes and said you will be fine. everybody here is going to take care of you. my wife went there one time, and can get anxious with medical stuff. she was a little shaky and dr basuk said she would drive her home. my kids love her. you can be waiting a bit but that means she is spending time with each patient, so its a good sign. she spent a lot of time with me. my previous last dermatologist , the exam was so fast you would have thought the building was on fire, and 2 different cremes later, zero improvement.

I deleted my latest negative review because it was not about Dr. Basuk but about her billing department. They made a mistake on my charges and I became upset. Dr. Basuk is a great doctor; she healed the spot on my forehead that was cancerous and it’s now gone. She was nice to refund my money and I will always go to her if I have a new problem.

Doctor Basuk Pamela is the best Doctor that I’ve came across she sits and explains everything to me and makes me feel welcoming she seems like a best friend that I can sit and talk to and not feel ashamed she is a terrific person and I wish the world could be like her plus everyone in her office are awesome I wish I can give her a10 star instead of 5… I really appreciate all she does for me ever since I walked into her office I had terrible looking skin and she recommended few things to use and in no time my skin started clearing and people started to compliment me how beautiful my skin had gotten.. I'm generally seen and out of the office within 45 min. from the scheduled appointment time. Over the years the Dr has identified and removed several areas of concern one of which turned out to be a melanoma. Highly recommend Dr. Basuk.

Saw Dr. Basuk for a check up and full body check on Tuesday. She found a mole that didnt look right and biopsied it. Got a phone call from her office to come in and see her today, the following Thursday and that mole turned out to be a melonoma!! Thank you Dr. Basuk for saving my life! Not only did she find this issue, but she had the answer as to what it was within 2 days. That's a caring doctor.

These days it’s hard to find good doctors but Dr Basuk not only expertly cared for my medical issue, but also took time to care for me as a human being. She also showed genuine compassion for me knowing I had recently lost my wife and was concerned for my health and state of mind. So if there were more like her maybe our healthcare system wouldn’t be the disaster it is. Please never retire.

Dr Basuk is a highly skilled dermatologist. I realize that some reviews are critical of her speedy approach but she has never missed a diagnosis or treatment for me.At first I thought she wasn’t listening to me and was talking to her assistant at the same time but after four years I am sure she was indeed listening and was aware of all my concerns and treated them professionally. Her degree of excellence explains the occasional long wait before treatment. With all this in mind I highly recommend Dr Basuk as a dermatologist

Dr.Pamela Basuk, Is the best dermatologist in the area if not in New York. My wife was misdiagnosed by the biggest Healthcare System in our area. She felt in her gut something was not right. I adore Dr. Basuk. I have been a patient of her since I was a teenager (I’m now in my 40’s). She is thorough and kind. She is very knowledgeable even about my autoimmune conditions that are not directly related to my skin. Yes, sometime there is a wait but not always. Even when there is I don’t mind; it’s totally worth it. Some of these reviews are mean. She has her eccentricities, but so does everyone; it’s part of her charm. I definitely recommend her.

I’ve been seeing Dr Basuk for about 8 years for different skin conditions. Dr Basuk has a very nice bedside manner and is very thorough in her examination. She also isn’t an alarmist and doesn’t preach constantly about sun exposure.....I think we all know by now sun is no good for you and to wear sunblock so I appreciate not being reminded like a child. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Basuk has identified and treated several basil cells and melanomas effectively, arguably extending my life to enable me to enjoy my retirement years. I never write reviews but I thought this was important for all of see. When I moved to Suffolk County I was looking for a female dermatologist and was recommended to Memorial Sloan Kettering on Vets Hwy. For many years I was a patient ( never diagnosed with cancer). When I went for my examinations the Dr would take pictures of my moles on my breast to compare each time. I was very happy each time as I was told nothing changed. One day I called for an appointment as I had a rash on my leg and I was told they Only see cancer patients. I informed them that I have been a patient for years and NEVER had cancer. Again I was told I would need to see a REGULAR dermatologist. That is when I found Dr Basuk. When she saw me for the First time she asked about my moles and I told her MSK was monitoring them. She said no no and removed them. To my horror one came back as melanoma. I am so grateful to Dr Basuk for saving my life. She is a rock star ⭐️ and I don’t give her 5 stars I give her 5 Gold ⭐️. She is so worth the wait. Thank you 🙏

Two days ago, I called the office and asked for an appointment about a rash on my leg that I was concerned about. The office staff quickly gave me an appointment for today. I saw Dr. Basuk and she quickly figured out my mystery rash and prescribed medication to resolve it. The staff both Dr. Basuk, her receptionists and nursing assistants were kind and efficient. I went to Dr Basuk for a large cyst that developed on the apple of my cheek. I noticed it six months ago and since it was increasing in size I decided to have it looked at. She evaluated it and determined that it should be removed since it had doubled in size since I first noticed it. But that wasn’t the best/worst part...Dr B did a full body scan - as any good derm should do - and noticed a growth on my forehead that she correctly diagnosed a basal cell just by site! The kicker is that I had this same spot on my forehead for 3 1/2 years and went to another dermatologist for it 2 years ago; it was misdiagnosed by the other doc as ‘just a mole’ and s aid I would have to pay out of pocket, up front, to have it removed and biopsied since my insurance wouldn’t cover a ‘cosmetic procedure.’ ?!?!?? BTW...I had no issues with the wait time or office staff. But, let’s be real: if I have to wait a few extra minutes to see a caring, professional and thorough Dr that is - literally - going to help save my life, I’ll deal. Small price to pay.

Dr. Basuk is a wonderful and thorough doctor. I see her regularly for full body skin cancer checks and she never hurries, realizing that anything that looked fine a few months ago can change quickly. In fact, she recently caught a melanoma in the very earliest stages which made it easy it remove and no had no deep penetration. Had she not decided that this time somethng about it looked different, my next checkup wouldn't have had the same results. Yes, the waiting room can sometimes be busy (not always though) but I think Dr. Basuk's worth the wait.
