I'm a new patient who had cataract surgery scheduled with Dr. Riffle for a Monday date. About a week before then, I developed what seemed to be an infection in the affected eye, possibly compromising the surgery. After messaging the office Wednesday night, Mary called early Thursday to provide me an appointment later in the day. Dr. Riffle diagnosed the infection and ordered an Rx. Then the staff worked as a team to re-schedule the procedure for the next month. All this took less than 90 minutes, great service for a worked-in appointment. Also, the OPI web portal is very easy to use and provides visit summaries. I highly recommend this ophthalmology practice!

I was treated for shingles in my eye. I was able to get an appointment the same day thru a referral from another physician. Dr. Nichols treated my eye infection. She was friendly, courteous, and relieved some my of high anxiety. After a few months of treatment I have full vision in my eye. I am very grateful to Dr. Nichols and her staff! 🙏

Dr. Nichols was wonderful - she explained everything in a way that I could understand and was patient enough to answer all of my questions. She caught things during my exam that previous eye doctors missed in the past, which turned out to be significant given my family history of glaucoma. Dr Carrie Happ-Smith recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. Surgery was done at the Surgical Care Center in Mentor. Upon arrival, the surgical care team walked me through the entire procedure. The nurses were efficient, and kind. I felt confident with their handling. Dr Happ spoke to me before surgery and asked if I had any questions. The surgery room was impeccable. Recovery was quick and there were always nurses looking out for you. A huge thanks to Dr Happ-Smith and her staff. All of you made this procedure a breeze. I would highly recommend this group of experienced and knowledgeable professionals!!!
Everybody there from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctors were totally awesome, I had dr.Eippert.,what a top notch dr. He is also very personal, he called me himself after both my surgeries and asked how I was doing. He did not have his assistant do it. Great place, highly recommended..thanks to everyone there.

Starting after the third session, and especially now after the fourth, my symptoms have improved dramatically when nothing else I was trying was working. Despite it not being covered by my insurance, it is more than worth it, and I commend OPI and Dr. Happ for investing in this technology and bringing it to patients in need.

Doctor Eippert is a fantastic surgeon. I suffer from claustrophobia and he was very patient with me. After wearing glasses for 65 years I look forward to better vision. I may still need glasses for certain thinks like driving at night or in the rain but that is a small inconvenience for not having to put glasses on when I wake up in the middle of the night. Thank you dr. Eippert.

I had to wait over a month for initial appointment and a month for surgery but my optometrist wanted me to see no one else. It was worth the wait, Dr. Eippert is outstanding. His attention to detail and thoroughness is amazing. Highly recommend!

I have moved away from Mentor Ohio 20 yrs ago but i shall always remember how wonderful Dr Posner was in helping me solve a eye problem in the 80s! i had been seeing an optometrist who did not have the skills to treat what i developed.I wore contact lenses and my eyes developed an alleergy to a ingredient in many solutions! my eyes would flame up red and felt like sand in my eyes and just could nit wear my contacts. Dr Posner helped me in 5 minutes and switched me to a pure lens solution and i could wear my contacts again for decades. Well I have since had a detached retina, went blind in one eye..LUCKILY. I HAD AN OPTHOMOLOGIST i had been seeing for eye exams 10yrs! Thank God. i had to have retina reattached. i am in AZ now but when i went blind I was going to call.Dr Posner to see.if I could fly cross for an appointment with him so fervaent is my trust in him. Luckily it all worked out i have better vision in my eye than i ever had. just wanted to let Dr Posner know I still hold him in high regard all these decades later! A truly exceptional man and doctor. Gid bless Dr Posner.

I was never made to wait when I was at their office for my appointments. My cataract surgery was performed by Dr. Gregory Eippert. Dr. Eippert's knowledge and kind manner helped guide me on which procedure and lense would give the best outcome. His skill in the operating room has provided me with wonderful sight after years of glasses and contact lenses. I would also like to give credit to Dr. Michelle Lieb for her followup care after my first surgery.

Though I'm only 60, I had cataracts in both eyes. In March, I had my left eye (distance) done with laser correction at the same time. This week I had my right eye done (near vision). Two days post-op and already I see a significant difference! I'm so happy I had this done! Nothing to fear. 😀

Exceptional experience at OPI. Dr Eippert was my surgeon. From the initial consultation to the actual surgical procedure - Dr Eippert was very knowledgeable, patient and very thorough in discussing my options available over and above the basic cataract surgery. I went with the PanOptics Lens (corrects distance and near) and couldn’t be happier with my decision. For me...No more glasses. It was like seeing in HD for the first time...amazing!! If you are in need of the advanced knowledge and expertise of an Ophthalmologist and are considering any type of eye care or surgery- I highly recommend OPI and especially Dr Eippert - not only is he exceptional - the staff at OPI and the staff at the Surgical Center are as well. The whole experience start to finish was excellent.
