So far most of my actual experiences with the representatives have been positive. However, having only a general number to call and not being able to speak to anyone at the branch, is quite problematic. I was told that an appointment was not necessary to transfer retirement accounts to Nutmeg from 2 different trustees and that there would be someone who could handle it. Although the young woman who handled the initial paperwork was very pleasant, she admitted that she was NOT very familiar with retirement transfers and had to call the IRA department a number of times and had difficulty with generating the proper paperwork. I was there for nearly 2 hours! For non-routine, highly specific IRS documentation, with which most staff are not familiar, there should be the option to make an appointment with someone who has at minimum gone through the process a few times. Again, my interactions for normal banking business have been positive. I also got my Real ID there and it was extremely fast & easy.

Since I been with nutmeg, I have nothing but a great experience,from opening this account to getting a car through the working wheels program working with Maria who help me out tremendously!!
The only thing I don't like they close at 4 but that's este lugar es uno de mis favoritos porque realmente si ayudan a la gente lo malo que si tienes que tener un social número para poder hacer una cuenta con ellos de lo contrario no puedes poner tu dinero ahí y me encanta que también trabaje mi gente hispana

Call ahead and the reps there will have what you need waiting for your arrival. Response time is very quick and informative. Mobile software could use some upgrading. Branch hours, recommend an early opening day at-least once during the week, like on a Monday. You can literally get everything you need here, loans, insurance (auto, gap, life, renters, etc.), checking/savings. A ton of different savings plans!!! I recommend to bank here vs. other banks like terrible BOA. Stratford branch, Maria is great to work with, she cares about your financial habits like it’s her own.
