Shout out to all the amazing staff I've been working with at the New Britain Branch. I have been a loyal customer for 30 years or so and can't express enough how amazing all my experiences have been, despite issues I've encountered with my cards. From fraud to unauthorized transactions, these amazing staff have been thorough and supportive throughout! Their work is exceptional! Convenient website to make payments and posted information. Loan processing was painless and fast. Old fashioned good banking with modern convenience.

I don't understand why people are using national banks. I looked today at NSCFU rates compared to Bank of America for both loans and CDs, and they serve their customers significantly better. Furthermore, they are outperforming their local non-profit competitors in these metrics. My transaction today was simple and flawless. K. Holden helped me expertly and within minutes over the phone. I have been a customer of them ever since they provided me a student loan for college when BoA wouldn't. It's hard to believe, but their stated mission of serving the community may actually be true.

Everything banks have with no ridiculous fees or extra charges. In another bank where I was a customer, it didn't really matter if I stayed or left; it didn't matter if I had financial hardships. Nothing personal, just business as usual.At NSFCU, I'm actually a valued member. It's good to know I will always get the best professional and personal care here. When I needed a personal loan during the pandemic to keep up with my rent payments, they approved me even though I wasn't working. It was simple to apply, and I had my loan within a week! The very reasonable monthly payments and low interest made it a breeze to pay my loan off. Having all of my financial needs met, and knowing that if I have a question or concerns, help is just one phone call away, makes me more confident in my own ability with financial management. I smile more since I've become a member of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union, and that's important to me!

Nutmeg is a small bank, but I've always had a good experience with their staff. The interface is a little clunky online, especially getting to the bill pay page, but other than that, it's good.

The tellers at the Manchester Broad Street branch are excellent. If some one comes in to cash a large check against my account they always call to comfirm it with me. It makes me feel like I am getting personalized attention. I am not just an account number.

I am amending my review. I was contacted by the branch supervisor, Brian, and we had a nice conversation about members, employees, and banking in general. He made me confident that happy members are his goal. I felt like he heard my concerns and was able to use them constructively to prevent this issue from reoccurring in the future. He has a genuine compassion for what he does.
For posterior reasons I will be leaving up my un-amended review below so other members and future members can decide for themselves how they choose to view this branch.
I was personally surprised that I was contacted and I took that into consideration of my amended review. I don't think I can say national banks would have done the same.

There is a woman who works there who is downright rude. I had an insurance payout for some damage to my home. The check took 7 business days to clear. I had the audacity to ask why it took so long and was greeted with rude service. Since when are members questions suddenly an annoyance? This isn't customer service. This is: I make the rules and you cannot know why. A sad excuse for service. I only give 2 stars because there is an older gentleman who works here who is awesome. He treats me as a person, not a number on a screen.
We have been banking here for 6 years and just love it.
We recently got a mortgage pre-approval from Nutmeg and found out we qualified for 1% interest less then what Bank of America was giving us!! A whole percent! We couldn’t believe it.

About a week ago I had an unfortunate experience and came to the Manchester nutmeg just a minute after their closing time. It was raining and I had my son with me, so I was a bit more frustrated that the facility had just closed. I was contacted by Nutmeg who heard about my frustrations and were empathetic of my situation but also reminded me of their strict policies. So at the same time I was impressed because I have always experienced a safe, strict system with nutmeg and that's why I bank with them. I've never had identity theft or issues with their service. I think they are the best bank out there to be blunt. So if your looking for the all around experience of safety, security, convenience and humanity, chose Nutmeg Federal credit Union.
We saw the commercials on TV. Loved the ads they were humorous and what they said about the acct terms sounded good. We came in and staff (branch mgr and head teller) were very helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and helped us get the right products for our needs. And they even offer popcorn in the lobby. Nutmeg State is a great credit union. I recommend it to everyone.

The staff at this location is very friendly and helpful. It's a small location. My only complaint is there hours I wish they were open till 5pm everyday.
Always friendly and helpful. I prefer this branch not only due to its proximity, but the fact that's it's smaller and gives that old school cozy neighborhood banking feel. Free checking kicks ass too.
A really nice place to bank! I chose this CU after getting horrible rates and high fees at the big banks. Its a small location but I like it. The staff are all really nice and very knowledgeable.

Have had nothing but great experiences here and love this new location. It's right down the road from my home and the staff is always friendly. They have a lot of options I haven't seen anywhere else and their hours are favorable. Definitely recommend.
I've been with them for 5 years now, and all those years have been great. Not once have I got bad service, but they are always so welcoming, and they have a coffee and hot cocoa machine in the waiting area. A truly great bank

I've been with them since 1987 when they were the Telephone Company's Credit Union. Always superb service. If you sign up with them you will have no reason to ever leave. Great in their administration, customer service, mortgages, etc.
Back in January I attempted to establish an EFT to a bank in New Hampshire for the purchase of a new car. I made 2 attempts with several phone calls to the Credit Union but no one could help me and tell me when the micro deposits were sent, after 2 attempts the bank at the other end was not receiving the test deposits so I was not able to verify the transfer. I hade to get a bank check from the CU and drive to the Dealer in New Hampshire to pay for my car. Very angry with the CU right now a very annoying experience and it's not the first one, just one of a few bad experiences. I have been a member for over 40 years, for the past 5 years the service has gotten worse.

Had to renew my drivers license. What a great experience! They were fast, professional and very friendly. Even let me do a retake or two of my photo. Tiana was wonderful! I highly recommend!!!

Wow! Like everyone I hated going to the DMV but this was so simple, fast & the staff were extremely pleasant to me & my 2 year old. Even when my toddler started fussing the employees were so patient & made him laugh. I was in & out less than 10 minutes.
Only good things to report about this place. Well worth the service fee [8 dollars when I checked in] to get my ID replaced without hassle. Please remember to bring all the required documents as you will be glad you didn't play yourself by showing up prepared.
Am I really do a review of a DMV? Am I really giving it 5 stars? Made my appointment and showed up early and spent more time waiting that 10 minutes than when being processed. Would have been fast had not EVERY person i heard in front of me, either appointment or walking, be turned away because they could not read and bring all the proper items for the verified license. Only critique, here, maybe a person at the door hand-holding people before they get in and tie things up.
Its hard to hate the DMV when they have a nice location, EZ parking, courteous people and short lines? This is so civilized. And they have a clean bathroom if you need it. Much better than the one they had before in Milford that was poorly run.
Just went today to renew my license this dmv express was literally the quickest most painless dmv experience ever. People are extremely friendly don't remember the two ladies names I dealt with but they were exceptional :) in and out id say within 5 minutes. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I highly recommend this dmv express.
Quick and easy. Great service. Make sure you make an appointment online prior will help things move even quicker. Kios is not user friendly, so leave enough time to use that machine and you have to, to check in.
I initially had a very bad experience at this location and voiced it on Yelp. I was contacted by their marketing manager Luis and he helped me tremendously. I wanted to respond to my previous review as they are trying to get this to be as convenient as possible. They have staff to help you use the check in machines and if possible make an appointment to speed up the process. Also be sure to have all paperwork!
I went on a Saturday morning expecting to take a long time to renew my license. The staff was friendly and helpful to assist with the kiosk to sign in. I was out of there in less than fifteen minutes. A pleasure to renew my license there
