Check-in staff was friendly and efficient. The dental hygienist were able to manage my seven and four-year-olds with these. I was worried they wouldn’t sit still and ask me questions. There was a cancellation so they took care of my kids at the same time. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to supervise them both to keep them under control, but the staff has zero problems after Brief introductory period. The dental hygienist and the dentist were awesome and made my kids feel super comfortable. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Armani is one of the best. Bring your child/children to see her. I can't forget the staff, they are amazing as well.

We have had a great experience over the past couple of years. My child is very sensitive to touch, strange noises, etc. and I was dreading her first visit. MPDA made it easy and fun, and has eased into the more challenging parts of the dentist, like x-rays, over a few visits. She actually says that she loves going to the dentist – especially the tokens for prizes at the end!

Took my son in for his first dental appointment. He is 3 and I was wondering how he would do. The hygienist, the dentist and the whole staff were great. They made him feel comfortable, explained everything to him. Gave him stickers when everything was done and a gold coin to put in one of the gumball vending machines for his choice of toy.

However, I felt that the dentist was a bit less patient with her anxieties, which could have been approached differently to better support her. Love how friendly the staffing is! My son has gone there for 4 years now! Dr. Grove is the best. We started seeing him in fridley but now he only is in st Paul, we are willing to go to st Paul location because he is the best at what he does and takes the time for each of his patients. We tried apple tree dental and they didn't have the time for my son at 3 years old, it being a new experience for my son he just wouldn't behave and apple tree said well we just don't have the time we have to see other patients. My son has gone to other regular dentist and they didn't have the time for my son because it was his first time at the dentist. I wish all dentist like this maybe then people would want to go instead of dreading them! I love how at the end of each visit you get a token and pick out a prize afterwards. I give it 5/5 my son loves going here!

If you have a child with any kind of dental anxiety, this is the place to go. I have a child with some sensory issues and significant anxiety. When she was young, we tried a traditional dentists office, but they showed frustration with her and that just made things worse. The people at MPD have been nothing but patient and gentle and Dr. Moni is great. And if you need distraction during your dental procedure you can watch the Eras Tour on a TV mounted on the ceiling! : )

We had an incredible experience here. With a high anxiety child, any dental experience would have taken a lot of energy. Jennie, our hygienist behaved with expertise in working with my child who as she put it, needed a little bit more "TLC." She worked with me, and with the dentist we pivoted from a check on a crown, to include a cleaning, x-ray, and fluoride. The dentist was not phased by our special needs, and rolled with the way Jennie set us up for success. There are not a lot of experiences that we leave having accomplished *more* than expected.

Well, let me see, let’s start with their dental hygienist Shelly. She has been absolutely amazing. Every time I have gone to her. She is so sincere and genuine about my kids care. I love how patient she is with my autistic daughter. And I love how informative she is! Then there is the gal at reception who I believe has blue or purple hair. I can’t remember her name and I’m sorry but she is just delightful. Her smile is so warm and she is so approachable. Then there is Doctor B!! He is efficient and thorough and doesn’t mess around and he knows what he is doing. He gets us in and out of there without causing us traumatic stress from bringing disabled kids to the dentist.! Haha! I am never scared or uncomfortable to bring my children here! Thank you for making the dentist office a less scary place to visit for mama and the kids!

We had our first dental visit for our 19 month-old daughter and we felt very supported. All the of the staff, assistants, and the dentist were gentle and patient with our daughter. Staff does an excellent job of balancing efficiency and fostering a caring and compassionate environment. My 7 year old has extreme anxiety when going to doctors and dentists. She recently had 2 teeth pulled on the same visit and walked out with a smile. The following day, she told me several times how much she likes it there. She also has started flossing her teeth regularly as she was made aware of the reasons why it's necessary at her appointment. MPD in St Paul is a wonderful pediatric dental office. I recommend MPD for all children, including those with sensory issues, ADHD and ASD. They have movie rooms for those that need distraction and also want privacy, but you must ask for them when making your appointment. The hygienists are patient and comforting towards children, always explaining what they’re doing before doing it. Dr. Mani is thoughtful and informative. The front office staff is cheerful, and always willing to help. I’ve truly never had a bad experience with anyone working in this office.

I brought my 1 year old to Metropolitan Pediatric Dental for her first cleaning and to check on area of her teeth we were concerned about. The customer service was exceptional. They were informative, patient, and knew exactly how to handle a child so young. As a new parent, I was really nervous going in to the appointment. A great experience today. I was a little nervous because at our first visit here, the assistant seemed rushed and not super patient with our 2.5 year old. Today, our 3 year old was a rockstar, as she was gently guided and prepped for each step of the assessment and treatment. We had a fabulous experience today at Metro Peds Dental. Thank you to the dentist as well as the staff. From the minute we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and our four year old was at ease! We were visiting to have two teeth extracted after a fall a few nights before. They were able to fit us in and use the least invasive anesthetic possible to ensure the procedure was comfortable for our daughter. It wasn’t without tears but we are all grateful her two teeth were removed. The dental assistant Abby, was so kind and caring to our daughter. She was incredibly patient and had all the right tools at the right time to reassure all of us. As a parent, I am grateful for these incredibly talented and patient pediatric dental specialists. Thank you all for your work today with our daughter! I highly recommend this practice.

My kids love the dentist! I can't say as a kid I ever could say that. I really like taking my kids here to help continue with their love of going. Dr. Mani is great and so is everyone we have encountered. Adding: My oldest will ask a million questions. Dr Mani explained so much about being a dentist to him. Great dental care. One suggestion- please eliminate the “boys” and “girls” toothbrush bins. One big bin with all of the colors is fine! Some boys like pick and purple! Some kids are non-binary and don’t identify as a boy or a girl! Thanks!

Jenny and Dr. Sotillo are the best!! I used to dread taking my daughter to the dentist but once we started going to MPDA my daughter never thought twice about it. They always make sure she feels comfortable and is aware of what is going to happen. They’re the best around!! Highly recommend!

The staff did a great job interacting with my active toddler. My only complaint is that I filled out forms online and then had to fill out three more forms when I arrived, which was challenging because I was trying to watch my toddler at the same time. It would be much better if all, or at least more, forms we're online.

Great and friendly all the time. My son has been going here since 4 or 5 years ago and we always have a great experience with the checking in process to dental cleaning services. They have really taken care to make sure that our safety is their number one priority. I really appreciate that they ask and talk to my son directly before they start the services. He feels included about making decisions in regards to what goes in his mouth. I enjoy that they call me to set up appointments and ask about any concerns. My kids (both under 10) LOVE going to the dentist since I started bring them here instead of to my own dentist. They get stickers and prize at the end. But PARENTS, here's why I recommend them so much: they talk to and explain things to the children, not just to me. The kids are active participants in their oral health. Parents play supportive roles, but the kids are front-and-center here. It's been over a week since Dr. Grove convinced them to start flossing, and they do it consistently and proudly. I think it's a habit now!

Our 2.5 year old son was recently diagnosed with ASD and his first dental exam 6 months ago at a different (non-Pediatric) dental office was terrible. We were referred to Metropolitan Pediatric Dental in St Paul by a friend, and I am so glad that we went! The hygienist was really patient with our son, following our lead with how to handle our sons fears and behaviors. The Dentist was very understanding as well, and so skilled and thorough that she was able to remove some calculus deposits on his teeth, which I hadn't thought would be possible at this visit. We will definitely go back, and I am referring all of my friends!

I really think is one of the best places for children and teen dental care. All my four kids are seen by Dr. Lipschultz since they were two years old including my oldest son who is now 15. Sometimes when for some reason Dr. Lipschultz can’t see them or It doesn’t work with my schedule I never ever hesitate myself that my kids could be seen by a different dentist there because all doctors and the staff seems to be very profesional, knowledgeable, caring, kind and respectful. We feel welcome every time we go there! I just want to say thank you.

My 5 year old son was very anxious for his dental checkup. Dr. Tafoya and her assistant, Katie, were incredibly kind and patient during the visit! Just building rapport with him and counting and brushing his teeth and prepping him to come back for a more successful full visit next time. I was very thankful for that, but then a couple of days later my son received a handwritten, encouraging note, certificate of bravery and stickers in the mail! He felt so proud and has said he is not nervous to go back! We are incredibly grateful and impressed with this level of care!

They are great with the kids. My sensitive 8 yr old loved the movie to watch, etc. My child needs tooth extraction, etc. I asked for the prices for both options - general anesthesia and laughing gas/Novocaine - because I wanted all the information and had no clue about prices. Dr Tafoya looked at her teeth and behavior. They gave a suggested treatment plan, answered my questions about options and called me back to respond to questions.

Dr. Fong is great with my boys. They have been seeing Dr. Fong since they were two. We hear some bad stories about kids who are traumatized by the dentist. I have no problem getting my boys to go. I hope my daughter feels the same way...
