We had a good first dentist appointment for our 3 year old here. The staff was all wonderful. My only feedback would be that they need more toys/entertainment in the facility for young kids. The waiting room just has a TV with a movie, there’s nothing for kids to look at while they’re getting their cleaning, and the prizes were a bit lacking.
Recently took my four and two-year-old daughter here. Everyone was so kind and welcoming from the front desk to the dental assistants and Dr. Lipshultz. We moved from out of state in the fall, so we are really happy to have found a great dentist so close to our new home. They were so great with the kids!
We have always had a great experience at MPDA. However today was above and beyond. Yasmin did a fantastic job making sure my 3 year old was comfortable with all of the equipment and talked her through each step of the appointment! I was very impressed.
Dr Nickman and the staff are great it is always a pleasure bring my children I have 4 who are seen here. My 7 year old did not like the dentist but coming here has changed that.

Very clean organized excellent service I have been going over five years before we come here this location we used go their other location north Oaks now my oldest son almost 14 years old excellent
We had such a fantastic experience at the dental office today with my son! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and made him feel completely at ease. Dr. Nickman was gentle, patient, and explained everything in a way that kept us comfortable and confident. The appointment was smooth, thorough, and even enjoyable—he left with a big smile. Truly outstanding care!
We really appreciate every one at MPDA, especially Dr. Nickman and Tatyana, our dental hygienist. They are through, caring, take the time to connect with each of our boys and make the whole experience incredibly positive. My kids now like going to the dentist, and don’t dread any part of the process. Thank you Dr Nickman and MPDA!!!
We’ve loved Dr. Bates for years — she is simply the best pediatric dentist! She always takes such wonderful care of our kids and makes every visit feel calm, friendly, and fun. Today we met Yasmin for the first time as our hygienist, and she was absolutely fantastic. She got down on my 2-year-old’s level, explained each tool and sound in kid-friendly language, and made the whole cleaning feel like a game. She was patient, gentle, and so genuinely warm — everything you could hope for in someone working with little ones. We left with a happy toddler who actually asked when we could go back! Highly recommend Dr. Bates and her amazing team.
Excellent service every time we’re there. My son (13) even made a comment that this was his favorite hygienist and he enjoyed visiting with her. I mean if you can “win over” the teenager you’re doing something right!
Best Pediatric Dental in the city! My kids love to go there. Dr. James Nickman is the best!. Hygienists and other staffs are very friendly and supportive!
My son thought this dentist was the best because he got to watch TV during the cleaning, got stickers and a token to earn a small toy at the end.
Love that my kids go here. One of my kids isn't the best brusher no matter how long she brushes. The dentist assistant was able to get those pesky teeth stains off. Her teeth are now pearly white. The stickers and coin/vending machine toy are also a plus
Dr Bates and the team did a phenomenal job taking care of my kids, as always. I highly recommend this office!
We are using MPDA for my kids for several years and the chekin process is smooth. Wait time is reasonable, neat and clean ambience. Staff is very cordial and friendly. I recommend MPDA, Eagan.

Excellent place for children. They have the nicest people. So personable yet professional. And the toys in the lobby makes everyone’s day. Been coming here for years and not only do we refer to it as “The Tooth Spa” but now my child is interested in perusing the profession. Can’t say enough good things.
I love bringing my kiddos here. It is so clean and bright and everyone is so friendly. We have never run into them running behind and the kids love that they get a special token to pick out a surprise at the end of their appointments. So fun!!!

We love coming here for our littles! Receptionists and scheduling is always super easy, they book you three months in advance over the phone. Every single hygienist we’ve had has been amazing with our toddlers! They have great technique and support for the young ones and have made every visit and easy experience, no tantrums or anxiety. Would recommend for anyone with a kid seeking great care and good support! Dr Bates was amazing and addressed all our questions and concerns easily. We took both kids and they did back to back appointments.

We love it here. Honest, up front, and care a lot about our kids, even as they have grown. Nicest group of people you could ever have working with your children. Glad we were given this dentist office over 23 years ago.

This was my daughters 1st dentist appointment. She was very upset about going. I had never talked badly about the dentist, but for some reason she was scared to death to go. The appointment day came and as we walked in, my daughter was instantly pleased with the office. There were fish tanks and a little table and chairs, books etc. Everyone was so friendly. The Dental Hygienist, "Dr. Loretta," as my daughter was calling her, was AMAZING! I have never been so happy with a doctor or dentist office in all my life. Loretta engaged my daughter, calmed all her fears and was able to make an experience that could have been terrible, into a terrific one. She can't wait to back. I can't say enough about this office and especially about Loretta!
Dr. Bates is wonderful and did a great job comforting both parents and patient.

Awesome experience. We called in last min the night before for a possible injury scare, and they got us in the next morning. Great friendly and super helpful team! Miss Suzette (hygienist) and Dr. Bates were so wonderful as well, they were very kind and patient with my son during his visit. He was scared at first, but they made him feel comfortable and he was smiling when he was done. Great pediatric dental office.

It's never fun going to the dentist, but we came here for the first time today and left smiling. The doctor was great, the front desk staff were also lovely, but the shining star of our appointment today was Krista. She took extra steps to really treat my little one with dignity and kindness, asked him all of his questions directly and explained step by step the entire process. I was extremely impressed with how in tune with kids she was. My son walked away saying that he loved coming to the dentist! As a parent with medical anxiety, this means so much to me - a medical professional who has taken every extra step to make sure that kiddos don't walk away from appointments with fear.

Everyone is nice and supportive and understanding. Today I had appt for my daughter. She freaks out and I forgot for name . she was awesome understanding. She had patient for my daughter that I was so surprised how nice and patient she was with my daughter and understanding. I want to say thank you 😊
Metro Pediatrics has done an excellent job providing all the services my children need, including cleanings, fillings, and tooth extractions. Dr. Bates is fantastic, and so are the rest of the crew! The kids love watching movies and staying entertained during their treatment, as well as having access to tablets and movies in the waiting room. Overall, our experiences here have always been great; we've consistently received respectful and welcoming treatment.
Always a positive experience! We have been patients since 2008. All of my children have had great experiences for 1st time dental appointments.

My daughter had a bad toothache and was leaving for a week so they were amazing and got us in. Turned out we had an urgent situation in our hands and we were guided and taken thru the process to connect to a referral source and got us in right away and with the information and medications we needed. Above and beyond customer service, thank you!!

BEST children's dental office! They are so good with the kiddos, especially my delayed son. They tell them everything they're doing in a way they understand, let them pick the movie/show during their exam, are kind and gentle, give them time to relax inbetween things if needed..just all around excellence! Moved to Lakeville 5 years ago, will absolutely continue to drive to Eagan for this clinic and its staff!
So wonderful. Hygienist sang twinkle twinkle as she cleaned my 2 year olds teeth. She loved it. We're in love with this place.

The way Dr. Bates and her staff work with kids who have developmental disabilities is out of this world. They are patient, soft spoken, extremely nice and heartfelt! So pleased to take my son here! Wouldn’t have it any other way!!! 100 stars!!
It was both my son’s first time at this dentist location. My oldest says that he loves the dentist and he’ll love to go back. The environment was clean, simple, and kid friendly.
They were very good with my 3.5 year old, and had a lot of fun distractions! I also love how the tech and dentist sing the ABCs a lot :)
MPDA is fantastic with my kids. The staff is fun, professional, and makes the dentist a place my kids enjoy.
