We had a good first dentist appointment for our 3 year old here. The staff was all wonderful. My only feedback would be that they need more toys/entertainment in the facility for young kids. The waiting room just has a TV with a movie, there’s nothing for kids to look at while they’re getting their cleaning, and the prizes were a bit lacking.

Recently took my four and two-year-old daughter here. Everyone was so kind and welcoming from the front desk to the dental assistants and Dr. Lipshultz. We moved from out of state in the fall, so we are really happy to have found a great dentist so close to our new home. They were so great with the kids!

We’ve loved Dr. Bates for years — she is simply the best pediatric dentist! She always takes such wonderful care of our kids and makes every visit feel calm, friendly, and fun. Today we met Yasmin for the first time as our hygienist, and she was absolutely fantastic. She got down on my 2-year-old’s level, explained each tool and sound in kid-friendly language, and made the whole cleaning feel like a game. She was patient, gentle, and so genuinely warm — everything you could hope for in someone working with little ones. We left with a happy toddler who actually asked when we could go back! Highly recommend Dr. Bates and her amazing team.

We love coming here for our littles! Receptionists and scheduling is always super easy, they book you three months in advance over the phone. Every single hygienist we’ve had has been amazing with our toddlers! They have great technique and support for the young ones and have made every visit and easy experience, no tantrums or anxiety. Would recommend for anyone with a kid seeking great care and good support! Dr Bates was amazing and addressed all our questions and concerns easily. We took both kids and they did back to back appointments.

This was my daughters 1st dentist appointment. She was very upset about going. I had never talked badly about the dentist, but for some reason she was scared to death to go. The appointment day came and as we walked in, my daughter was instantly pleased with the office. There were fish tanks and a little table and chairs, books etc. Everyone was so friendly. The Dental Hygienist, "Dr. Loretta," as my daughter was calling her, was AMAZING! I have never been so happy with a doctor or dentist office in all my life. Loretta engaged my daughter, calmed all her fears and was able to make an experience that could have been terrible, into a terrific one. She can't wait to back. I can't say enough about this office and especially about Loretta!

Awesome experience. We called in last min the night before for a possible injury scare, and they got us in the next morning. Great friendly and super helpful team! Miss Suzette (hygienist) and Dr. Bates were so wonderful as well, they were very kind and patient with my son during his visit. He was scared at first, but they made him feel comfortable and he was smiling when he was done. Great pediatric dental office.

It's never fun going to the dentist, but we came here for the first time today and left smiling. The doctor was great, the front desk staff were also lovely, but the shining star of our appointment today was Krista. She took extra steps to really treat my little one with dignity and kindness, asked him all of his questions directly and explained step by step the entire process. I was extremely impressed with how in tune with kids she was. My son walked away saying that he loved coming to the dentist! As a parent with medical anxiety, this means so much to me - a medical professional who has taken every extra step to make sure that kiddos don't walk away from appointments with fear.

Metro Pediatrics has done an excellent job providing all the services my children need, including cleanings, fillings, and tooth extractions. Dr. Bates is fantastic, and so are the rest of the crew! The kids love watching movies and staying entertained during their treatment, as well as having access to tablets and movies in the waiting room. Overall, our experiences here have always been great; we've consistently received respectful and welcoming treatment.

My children like this clinic so much. The staff are really friendly. The clinic is really nice and clean. My kids' dentist, Joshua Lipschultz, DDC , he is an amazing doctor. Professional, explained details, very friendly, kind and overall a really good dentist. My kids like him so much. They are very comfortable and relaxed with the Dental assistance during cleaning and exam. The vibe of this clinic is made just for kids. There's also tokens that they give the kids after each appointment, so they can put it in the toy machine which then they can get a toy. There's also tablets which they can play on while in the waiting room and also movies playing on the TV. I really recommend bringing your kids here.

As most moms know, the mama bear in me is strong. I think I was more nervous for his cavity fills than my son was. He had four cavities he needed to get filled and is generally a pretty curious kid. They took the time to explain every single step in a way he understood all while taking care of the cavities in a very quick matter. I was so impressed by Dr. Bates, not only professionally with her work but also with her bedside care. You could tell my son felt extremely calm and relaxed which was so relieving for me. If I could rave about them to any parent searching for a pediatric dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Bates and her team.

We love this dentist, but finding the hours of availability almost Impossible for our family. High school students can’t afford to miss school, with all the ortho appts as well, and only scheduling on Monday and Friday, with first appt at 7:30, and latest being 1:30, isn’t great for working families and kids that can’t miss school. ☹️ Please open the schedule up more, during the school year, with after school/work hours!

Thankful for the tip from our dental hygienist her advise of flossing really worked. And she was very patient with my son too. We've been seeing Dr. Lipschultz and he is wonderful.

My daughter chipped her tooth at school at 230pm on a Friday and I called to for suggestions. I got her in right away and by 330pm my daughter had her tooth fixed. Very lucky and very thankful they were able to fix the tooth. My daughter is back to smiling.

Dr. Nickman is so great! He is wonderful with kids and so patient. The hygienists are also so wonderful and patient with kids. The office is clean and kid friendly. Each visit my kids look forward to the token to get a toy (not during covid). Along with age appropriate toothbrushes and floss.

The staff is great but it’s time to let up on the Covid protocols… Do we really need to wait in the parking lot still? Then the first thing is a mandatory hand sanitizing followed by a Covid release form? And when I approached my son who is having a hard time with the x-rays, the technician requested that I back up from her to maintain 6 feet distance… Are you kidding me? Perhaps her two masks, shield plus my mask would’ve been adequate protection??

We've been going here for 7 years and would never go anywhere else! Everyone, including the receptionists, dental assistants and Dr. Nickman are so good and accommodating with my child who has autism. He used to be so afraid of the dentist but has overcome this in part to the excellent staff, many of which, have been there for years. Top notch pediatric dental care!

It's really a neat and tidy place following all the covid 19 protocols and taking all necessary precautions which puts your mind at ease. The staff are super friendly, nurse and doctor services are spendid. My daughter had her tooth filling and was tensed but they eased her up and had the procedure done in no time. I am glad i chose this clinic. I would recommend this clinic to anyone anyday.

Dr Nickman at the Eagan location was wonderful. My 8 yo daughter had to have two small cavities filled and she was very anxious. He delivered the local anesthetic slowly and carefully and she barely even felt the ‘pinch’. In my daughter’s words, ‘It wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be and it even kind of fun’. Clean, aesthetically pleasing environment and TV screens on the ceiling for the kids to watch something of their choice.

We have been going to Metropolitan Pediatric Dental for about 8 years or so now and I'm still super happy with this dentist. We go to Eagan, but have also gone to the Fridley location when we moved for a little while. Both were great but I definitely prefer the Eagan location. Just had a chipped tooth experience with my youngest's front new adult tooth and they definitely made me feel better about it. No tears were shed at the appointment! Highly recommend.

I've taken my boys here for many years. They are 21, 19 and 17. We've been coming since the oldest was three years old! They've always done a fabulous job! My boys have always felt comfortable and well taken care of! One of the things that had impressed me the most is that so many of the staff has remained the same throughout all these years. They all seem genuinely happy to be there! I would recommend them to anyone!!

Wonderful staff who are always friendly and helpful. It's a bit of a drive for us but so worth it. Our son had very poor teeth as a little one and other places had been unhelpful and given us alarming options of surgery and other extreme and invasive procedures. Our child was only two years old. Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates were the exact opposite. Recommending a slower more gentle approach. Less invasive, a much more traditional approach to fix the problems with his teeth. They triaged the situation and were warm, kind and very skilled. They have always been so encouraging towards our family and we have happily kept coming back regularly for the last 8 years. As our child has grown he has learned to take very good care of his now strong and beautiful smile. His adult teeth are healthier and cavity free! He is proud and enjoys going to the dentist 😊 Our family is so very grateful for the positive care we have received and highly recommend MPDA!

To say we love Metropolitan Pediatric Dental would be an understatement! My kids started seeing Dr. Nickman as soon as they had teeth (9+ years ago). We lived near Fridley at the time and visited the Fridley office every 6 months for several years. We then moved to the sticks (a South Metro "suburb") 40 miles away from the Eagan location and we've made the 40 mile trip every 6 months for 5 years. I cannot say enough good things about this dental office. My kids look forward to going to the dentist! Dr. Nickman and his staff are AMAZING with kids and I am so grateful that my children have been exposed to a good foundation for life-long oral health. Two of my children have had to have teeth pulled and it was okay because Dr. Nickman and the dental hygienists did everything they could to calm their (any my) nerves. And the front-office staff is amazing at making sure you understand what insurance will cover. You will not regret choosing this office for your children's dental check-ups and any other dental work that they may need!

We have always had excellent experiences at Metropolitan Pediatric Dental. We typically see Dr. Bates and she and her staff are fantastic. Last week, my son knocked out his permanent front tooth and required emergency dental care. Within an hour, he was in the dental chair. Dr. Nickman and the dental assistant Jenny provided absolutely exceptional care. They were calm, kind, and professional, even when being called to help after hours (and during a pandemic!). She loves this place...We have always had great visits. My children have never been afraid of going to the dentist, which many kids are sadly. My children have been going to Metro Peds for years, and we have had nothing but great experiences. First, the clinic sends reminder notices and phone calls when it's time to get cleanings. We all know what a relief that is with busy schedules! Second, they do reminder calls for upcoming appointments. Those little things make a big difference! Finally, and most important, the staff and providers are amazing with the little ones. They seem to remember every patient that comes in, they have always been able to entertain my kiddos, and I have seen them quickly and smoothly calm upset children numerous times. MPDA is always so prompt with their services. I love that they know my children by their names and are so great with them. Dr. Lipshultz is awesome. My children has seen him since their 1st birthday!
