Our campervan experience was awesome! We rented a newer model Star Polaris 2 and would do it again! Pick-up and drop-off were both very easy! The pickup orientation could have included a few additional instructions (e.g.s, where to find the ladder for the bed, and how to fill up the fresh water tank), but we eventually figured it all out. This 21-foot campervan was able to go everywhere we wanted to explore and was easy to maneuver and drive! Highly recommended!

We had a great experience with the Polaris 6 from Cairns to Brisbane. Everything work, it kept the water out during heavy rain and the air con worked really well. The fridge was a bit rusty and if we had too much food in it, the temperature was a bit too low. But it was spacy and a comftable motorhome . Would rent it again

We had a great experience on our recent trip along the east coast of Australia which was largely impacted by our rental of Star RVs Polaris 6 motor home. The facilities on the campervan for example the air conditioning was really important to us and worked perfectly. The motor home was easy to drive with modern driving controls and automatic transmission. The convenience of having everything in one place and quick at hand was excellent, we were very self sufficient throughout our travels. Would highly recommend Star RV and JUCY rentals.

It was super, even thought we had a telephone number to call to pick up us from the airport, anyone answer, but we take a taxi and the receipt was discounted on the total van rental.

Amazing camper and service with Star RV! We booked through Ratpack who ensured we got the best campervan and value, specific to our needs, which was the Polaris 2. We loved the camper, it had everything - kitchen, bathroom, mechanical pull down bed, solar power, and more (everything was so new and modern). The service from Star RV from the get go was fantastic, providing a great tour of the van. We had an issue with the awning which they sorted immediately. Night and day vs other rental companies, cannot recommend enough! Book a star RV to make the most of your Australia road trip!

We rented a Cruiser and were given the LDV Deliver 9 van for our roadtrip to Sydney. The staff was friendly, the car was new (28k kilometers) and the van layout was great, and they provided us with everything we needed to cook. The only issue we faced was that we were not given one component of the table, so we could not build it the entire trip (please, check all the components by yourself before you take off). We were told to write for compensation, so I'm hoping we will receive it. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend Jucy.

We had rent Jucy condo for 14 days of Cairns adventure road trip and had the best experience. From pickup experience was great , not rushed but the customer service personnel walked us through and showed us what's where and how it works. Did give all necessary tools to cook a meal and enjoy it at a rest area ,or prepare a relaxing dinner and enjoy it at a campsite. It was indicated that the cars were at the airport but they are not! You have to call for a shuttle bus to come pick you up and then travel about 20mins to get your car from their office. And then the reverse when you drop it off. The car they tried to give us was terrible so we refused it and they gave us one in better condition. The guys who worked there were helpful. The company is not in Australia so there was a $15 Int Trans Fee! Also when you think you’re booking travel insurance with them at the same time at booking it isn’t with them. Found out to book direct with Jucy and not Booking.com for both would’ve been drastically cheaper!

We picked up our jucy crib from Melbourne and drove it to Cairns. The vehicle was not in great condition in Melbourne, but not the fault of the Cairns branch. The lady who greeted us at the Cairns branch was very friendly and we had no problems giving the vehicle back. Also friendly shuttle driver to the airport. We drove our Jucy Crib+ from Cairns to Melbourne, 3500km in two weeks which was some going. Having read some frankly terrifying reviews - after booking, I might add - I admit I approached the rental with at least some level of trepidation. The girl in the pick up office was quick, efficient, but did use the really rather worrying adverb “hopefully” when I wondered aloud if our Triassic-Era Toyota Estima would make the trip in one piece. As we rattled clear, I rather forlornly prodded the brake pedal to discover that the brakes could best be described as “spongy”. However, aside from this minor detail, I must say that our Jucy survived the trip excellently from a mechanical perspective. Always buy a Japanese car goes the refrain and now I see why. Despite having 400,000 kilometres on the clock it performed admirably. Whilst it has quite literally no acceleration whatsoever above around 110kmh, the engine is rorty enough for pottering around the city and can maintain a noisy cruise of around 100-110km/h whilst tickling 2500-3000rpm. This wasn’t entirely frugal in regards fuel, where we reckon we got about 500km out of a 60l tank. The left slidey door did seem to arbitrarily decide whether it would open or not with each attempt and required a Herculean effort to pull and slide. The right slidey door was fine so took up the slack of its erratic sibling. All the stuff like crockery, gas stove, washing up bowl and water etc was fine. All our bedding was clean and comfy enough and warm even in the Victoria winter. The roof tent was really, really easy to put up and all the logistics worked well. The car has Apple CarPlay installed so we never even switched on the GPS - I can’t remember if we paid extra for that. Whoops. HOWEVER - my major irritant was the useless lump of a fridge. Despite following the cheery instructions stickered onto the side of it *to the letter*, it still hovered between actually chilling our food somewhere from “never” to “rarely”. I think it was something to do with the cable, which just reeked of dodgy ageing and I have no doubt it will have been mentioned before. It’s the kind of thing that you just hope they’d get sorted, come on guys, put a bit back in. For the money we paid, we were pretty chuffed in the end. While my heart was in my mouth every time I accelerated even remotely vigorously, the old heffer stayed straight and true and saw us through. We had great fun waving cheerfully at other garish Lime-and-Barney-Purple Jucies coming the other way, almost like a shared, nervous camaraderie of “at least the wheels are still on” 😂

I rented a car for 2 weeks in Cairns. The price was hugely below what other firms were asking, and while the car may have been a year or 2 older than what others offered, it was clean, comfortable and met my needs just fine. The service was great particularly the shuttle bus to and from the airport. If you value budget over luxury I couldn’t recommend any higher - I was extremely happy with the whole experience and will definitely use them again.

Picked up a Jucy Crib + in Cairns and returned it in Brisbane. Pick up was flawless. Good and complete information from a lovely young lady. The camper had seen better days, the doors didn’t close properly and the camping chairs collapsed after 3 days. But it was great fun! We got our money’s worth. Would recommend for 3 adults max. 4 people and luggage would be pushing it. Drop off in Brisbane was rather awkward. Nobody even looked at the car and the girl at reception only asked if the tank was full. I haven’t heard anything since. After reading some distressing reviews, we were quite apprehensive. In short, our Jucy took us from Cairns to Brisbane in 4 weeks and gave us little trouble. Great road trip!

10/10! If you are looking for a campervan rental, I highly recommend the Jucy Crib Plus. It had everything we needed, was fuel-efficient, and had a great amount of space. The camper was fully stocked with fuel and was clean. The car bed was very big and easily fit two people. The roof tent also easily fit two people, was waterproof, and kept the light out in the morning. The kitchen area was ready to go with stoves, pots and pans, and water was topped up and ready to use. All the cleaning products were good to go as well. The Jucy team took their time showing us around the vehicle and explained how everything worked, so we were ready to enjoy ourselves. 10/10!

Yes the car was a bit older and had a few Kms on the clock but it was more than up to the job. We flew in from Sydney to Cairns. Cookie picked us up from the airport (nice guy). And, Hannah greeted us with a smile upon our arrival. She took her time and explained everything in detail. Since we were returning the car in another city, she even showed us the closest location to refill the gas tank before we drop off the car off (huge fees if you don’t leave the tank full). Hannah checked everything out on the car before we left (even the tire tread). She explained the extra fees if we lost the car fob/key (OMG-don’t lose it, it’s crazy expensive). We have rented cars in multiple other countries (and the US) and Hannah is one of nicest most helpful people we have dealt with. I would use Jucy again. Added bonus was the inside of the Jucy car was clean! I can’t tell you how many times in the past I had to wipe down the steering wheel before I drove a rental.

Hired a 8 seater van and a sedan while at Cairns. The guys at the front desk is very friendly will quickly run through most of what you need to know. We took out the Zero excess option ( need to pay extra) - but gives you easy of mind. adding extra driver doesn't cost you much - make sure you get this done while onsite! the support line takes ages to get through! I was online for 1.5hrs before got someone to speak to! alternatively get the direct number of the place where your hiring the car from - its much quicker, if you want to make any amendments. the cars quite old (10 years +) - the ones we got didn't even have remote central locking. the cars little run down with dents - but the interior is quite clean. The cars will do the job for you and the ones we hired I was happy with them. I won't complain if you are hiring child seats makesure you know how to fit them . Jucy won't fit it for you. over all happy - thought cars can be little late models for the price we pay to hire.

Campervan review: Good customer service and a comfortable vehicle - but not 5 stars like Jucy Melbourne or Adelaide. The van was slightly older than my other Jucy but had a major tear in the roof tent, which is not optimal in the tropics. I was disappointed that the auxiliary battery was flat on pick up, but happy to say the fridge was holding its own after driving 30 minutes to the supermarket - then icy cold which is what you want in the tropics. Another vehicle with 200,000km on it, but it showed no wear or tear mechanically. A few more dents and broken bits (visors, blinds, etc) than my last Jucy. I did have to chase them for confirmation my rental had closed with the after hours drop off (which I’m grateful they offered). Room to improve, but I will rent from them again and I had a great trip!

Jucy is very much a case of you get what you pay for. Our car was cheaper than anywhere else we could find but it was very well used. Even for a four cylinder our car lacked power when needed and the transmission was so worn out that we had to do handbrake starts in an automatic. On the plus side no complaints about their customer service. Smooth, efficient and accomodating. They covered the cost of a taxi from the airport because we’d just missed the last transit bus. We would use Jucy again but probably pay a bit extra for a better car.

There was a wait but you could see that the staff was getting stuff done. We rented a campervan and out of the line up of many similar campervans, they gave us the oldest ones. I asked why do you give us the worst looking and oldest one. Not sure if it was because he wanted to get rid of it. She made it all the way to Brisbane though but we had an issue: It rained non-stop for a couple of days/nights and we had water coming inside the van on the mattress and our stuff. Otherwise, we loved the campervan experience and highly recommend it!

Picked up a Jucy Crib + in Cairns and returned it in Brisbane. Pick up was flawless. Good and complete information from a lovely young lady. The camper had seen better days, the doors didn’t close properly and the camping chairs collapsed after 3 days. But it was great fun! We got our money’s worth. Would recommend for 3 adults max. 4 people and luggage would be pushing it. Drop off in Brisbane was rather awkward. Nobody even looked at the car and the girl at reception only asked if the tank was full. I haven’t heard anything since. After reading some distressing reviews, we were quite apprehensive. In short, our Jucy took us from Cairns to Brisbane in 4 weeks and gave us little trouble. Great road trip!
We picked up our jucy crib from Melbourne and drove it to Cairns. The vehicle was not in great condition in Melbourne, but not the fault of the Cairns branch. We had rent Jucy condo for 14 days of Cairns adventure road trip and had the best experience. From pickup experience was great , not rushed but the customer service personnel walked us through and showed us what's where and how it works. Did give all necessary tools to cook a meal and enjoy it at a rest area ,or prepare a relaxing dinner and enjoy it at a campsite. Amazing camper and service with Star RV! We booked through Ratpack who ensured we got the best campervan and value, specific to our needs, which was the Polaris 2. We loved the camper, it had everything - kitchen, bathroom, mechanical pull down bed, solar power, and more (everything was so new and modern). The service from Star RV from the get go was fantastic, providing a great tour of the van. We had an issue with the awning which they sorted immediately. Night and day vs other rental companies, cannot recommend enough! Book a star RV to make the most of your Australia road trip!
We rented a Cruiser and were given the LDV Deliver 9 van for our roadtrip to Sydney. The staff was friendly, the car was new (28k kilometers) and the van layout was great, and they provided us with everything we needed to cook. The only issue we faced was that we were not given one component of the table, so we could not build it the entire trip (please, check all the components by yourself before you take off). We were told to write for compensation, so I'm hoping we will receive it. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend Jucy.
