We had a jucy crib for two weeks in the north island and were overall pretty happy. Look, are they the best, most pristine and newest campers in the world? No. But if you’re not looking for that then this is the company for you. I would call them student/backpacker chic. The overall crib was good, it’s small and you have to be good at organisation in them, but they work well as they’re easy to drive and park everywhere and for us they were cheaper way cheaper than a self contained unit, and way less faff. Perfect if you’re staying in campsites the whole time. They show some signs of wear and tear (slight mold/mildew patches from the damp, not all the poppers on the insulation curtains work ect) but these are things you can easily live with/adjust too. The bed is also surprisingly comfortable which is a bonus. The opening/collection times can be a bit limited depending on your flight times, but the shuttle service and actual pick up and collection for us went very smoothly. The staff were really friendly and the Auckland office has a very nice vibe, the little shelves with things other people had left behind to reuse was a nice touch. And the recommendation of downloading the Gaspy app was a lifesaver. We were lucky in that we had nothing go wrong with our vehicle so I cant comment on how well they’re able to handle breakdowns and stuff.

we recently hired a van from jucy! unfortunately due to traffic and unforeseen circumstances we ended up being late for our booking! but lagi helped us anyway!! which saved us from not having a place to stay and missing plans the next day! very thankful for her kind customer service even after she had to!

Second experience with JUCY Campervan and was not disappointed. An older vehicle but operated perfectly. Everything was in used but good condition and cannot think of anything I could add to kit out the vehicle any better. All the blinds, towels, duvet, pillows and kitchen/cooking supplies were complete and the fridge kept all the groceries in good shape. The updated navigation screen paired well with my phone and the chargers worked well even while the van was turned off. It was a most enjoyable journey over 11 days. I would definitely use JUCY again as I like being seen as a brightly marked tourist who is driving on the other side of the road.

We hired a car for 35 days touring the New Zealand North Island. The Jucy Team were very friendly and helpful right from the initial airport transfer, the rental pick-up, the drop off and final return transfer back to the airport. Although the Suzuki Swift was a 2016 model with high kilometres it was very well serviced, maintained and extremely fuel efficient for the 4620 kilometres we travelled. Overall, we had a very happy experience.
We hired a Jucy Condo for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with the experience. We were able too see so much of the beautiful country while being self contained and able to be flexible with where we could camp and explore. We travelled from Auckland down to Queenstown and back to Auckland and the Hiace never missed a beat. This was our first overseas holiday together and first time to New Zealand. Couldn't recommend the staff service and ease of check in and out highly enough.

Great staff who went out of their way to accommodate for me even giving me rides in order to make things easier for me when arriving in nz. Not talking about the shuttle bus but out of plan tranisting. They let me use the staff shower when i arrived after a 30 hour flight from Germany. I booked a car for about 7 weeks. Midway through I got driven into while in the south of NZ they provided me a new car instantly which because they did not have any regular cars left in Queenstown got upgraded without increasing the price and even refunding me for the days I didn't have the car because of the crash and the lengthy drive with the toe truck company. Never had they given me any problems and were super flexible all around

We rented the campervan right at the Airport in Auckalnd and returned it there. Great location, free shuttle from the terminal. The car wes a great condition, was clean, and had everything we needed for a 5 day roadtrip. We will consider it definitely for a future trip

Amazing service for our pickup. We were running late for a reservation due to airport delays and the staff were so prompt, from a perfectly timed airport shuttle to the speed they ran us through the Crib.
Great value for money with only annoyance being lack of pick-up depot at airport, but free shuttle doesn't take long and staff friendly.
The only thing I didn't like about my Juicy hire experience was having a bit of difficulty finding the address. Only because I went the wrong way and got a bit lost in the busy industrial centre! So my fault, not Juicy! Everything else was easy and pleasant. Staff at depot great, vehicle nice and clean, pick up from airport smooth with a helpful friendly driver

Très bonne expérience avec Jucy. Nous avons eu un petit soucis avec un des pneus lors du road trip mais le service client était très réactif et le probleme réglé rapidement. Le van était bien et confortable. En comparaison, j'ai réalisé 2 autres road trip en Australie avec une entreprise concurrente, mais Jucy est selon moi le meilleur rapport qualité-prix à ce jour.
Great Trip around North Island NZ. Easy checkin/checkout process. Jucy crew is very nice and responsive to any issues or problems. Vehicle was clean and everything worked as advertised. Microwave only works with sufficient power hooked up, but not a problem for us. Fridge is s nice size on the cruiser.
We had a great experience with Jucy. Bit of a strange interaction at the start with the check in online process but was quickly resolved when we picked up the van. The one thing that we had an issue with was the click in domes where the curtains click in to. They were a bit rusted on one side so we had to do a bit of DIY to ensure privacy and darkness but overall we Loved our experience.
I enjoyed driving a Jucy Chaser. Although it was an older model and needed a few minor things sorted, it provided a happy, stress-free experience around the North island. I found the staff efficient, friendly and helpful.
I contacted Jucy Car Rentals because my son is coming over from Australia and doesn't have a credit or debit card and the lovely Karina was so helpful and wrote notes on my booking so there would be no issues when my son picks up the car, she stayed on the phone until I replied to her email and she was great at her job, I told her she sounded like she was only 16, but she was a little older, I just want to say a huge Thank you to Karina for making the process easier. I apologize if I have spelt your name wrong. But your boss should know that you are doing a great job.
Jucy staff are very helpful and thorough especially for the first time driving their condo.I highly recommend for anyone that's on the move to explore places it is very convenient,comfortable and relaxing.
The vehicle I received was particularly well equipped with bedding, a small stove, sink with tap and a small refrigerator. I used a 'crib', a Toyota Tarago sized vehicle. It drove well, even had cruise control, and the GPS was a welcome add-on. The price, off season, was cheap! Service friendly.

Perfect but there are minor faults
My boyfriend and I rented a Jucy Chaser (which came with an inbuilt shower and toliet) for 2 weeks in NZ. Overall, our experience was amazing given the price we paid- vehicle drove well, came clean and the shower was even warm! However, after about a week we did experience some faults with the vehicle, such as our sink starting to leak, the wheel alignment being out, and the door for the gas canister not shutting properly (which was dangerous when driving). This gave us the impression that any faults with the vehicles are simply patched-up in-between hires and are not properly attended to or fixed. However, despite many reviews calling out poor customer service, we didn’t find this at all, and when we requested a contactless drop off last minute the staff were extremely helpful and considerate. I would still 100% recommend JUCY for the budget traveller- just maybe don’t expect a perfect vehicle :)
2 days booked with Jucy was worth 1 day at other rental companies. Highly recommend and will definitely book with the team again! All the staff were very nice and helpful too.
We hired a proace camper for the week. Great van, a little thirsty and we didn’t have as much control over fuel consumption as a manual, but we had no issues. Great experience. Had everything we needed and extra chairs thanks very much to Sanjana. She couldn’t have been any more kind and helpful.
I spent 2 months in a jucy chaser travelling through the North and South island. My initial impression of claustrophobia was overcome within the first 3 days. After which I started to appreciate the design and functionality of the vehicle. That said there are some real issue that need to be addressed. The top bunk is great in that it can be left up as a bed. The downside is that when you encounter low temperatures there is no insulation and you are freezing. The other major issue is that the sink and hob covers close under gravity. So you cannot leave a kettle or a pot tk boil without manually holding the lid up. This is massively dangerous. The lids can close and cause a spillage of boiling or frying liquid into the van. Solution is easy fix magnets to the covers.

The customer service was excellent, which made it easy to get help when we had questions. The vehicle was spacious and in good condition, making it comfortable to travel around. We were also picked up and dropped off at the airport by shuttle bus, which was a great convenience. It was practical, and we felt well taken care of. Additionally, I appreciated the option to change bedding along the way and the backup phone number we received for emergencies. However, there were a few downsides worth mentioning. The gas bottle was so small that we couldn’t exchange it at any gas stations, and unfortunately, Jucy couldn’t assist us with this. Furthermore, there was a screw sticking out of the panel at the foot of the bed, which was a bit uncomfortable. The microwave was also not secured properly, so it jumped out when we drove on the highway, but fortunately, it didn’t fall completely out of the shelf. Overall, I would give Jucy Rentals a four-star review. Their service and vehicle were really good, but there is room for improvement, especially when it comes to the maintenance of the equipment.
Todo estuvo perfecto! El servicio del aeropuerto a la empresa y viceversa está incluido. El personal muy amable. Alquilamos una van para 2 personas, y fue muy cómoda y práctica. Tiene acolchado y 2 almohadas, repasadores, cocinilla a gas y un set de ollas y utensilios de cocina. El único punto desfavorable es que no es económica si se realiza un viaje de muchos kilómetros. Estamos contentos y es muy recomendable!
This was a perfect financially sensible way to campervan tour throughout New Zealand. As a solo traveller l found the camper comfortable and well thought through. I would do this adventure again.

Vinay gets 5/5 stars. Vinay is the crew member that I worked with in the 3 times I have visited Juicy/Star. Once for pick up, once for repairs/exchange, and finally for drop off. He was there each time and remembered us, always smiling and helpful. He gave us instructions and tips based on prior feedback, and in the case of our exchange (due to a system failing on the RV) He was there after hours to help. This man goes above and beyond and deserves more recognition than just these words. As for the Polaris 6 (x2) that we had rented, they did their job, each had their flaws, and there were some times that I had to do some.comfort related repairs myself. All in all I would rent from them again.
Buena experiencia con la Jucy Chaser 2 semanas por Nueva Zelanda. Bastante caro pero como todo por este país! 5400 dolares con seguro y otros 800 de gasolina. No tuvimos ningún problema con la furgo y nos movimos por las dos islas. Entrega y recogida cómodas en Auckland y Christchurch.

We have booked for crib(toyota estima)but it was not ready till 3pm. Special thanks to Jucy and Danila for giving us a temporary small car to roaming around in the meanwhile. Danila even offered to compensate our lunch meal and has complimentary upgrade our car to chaser(Toyota Hiace)with built in shower and toilet! It truly make our first campervan trip specials and memorable!
Vinay was awesome. Very kindly with us Unfortunately, the condition of the van was not so amazing. It is doing the function we rented it for but it has quite a few details in bad condition. Still, it is a good and affordable option for touring new zealand.

I would rate Jucy 4 stars. The vehicle could have been a bit cleaner inside, which is why I didn’t give a full 5 stars. However, the customer service was excellent! Vaney, who assisted us, was fantastic—super helpful and friendly. He definitely deserves 5 stars for his great service.

A Jucy Campervan rental is the way to see New Zealand. Request a portable heater to plug in in the winter and spring to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep.

Great Trip around North Island NZ. Easy checkin/checkout process. Jucy crew is very nice and responsive to any issues or problems. Vehicle was clean and everything worked as advertised. Microwave only works with sufficient power hooked up, but not a problem for us. Fridge is s nice size on the cruiser.
The only thing I didn't like about my Juicy hire experience was having a bit of difficulty finding the address. Only because I went the wrong way and got a bit lost in the busy industrial centre! So my fault, not Juicy! Everything else was easy and pleasant. Staff at depot great, vehicle nice and clean, pick up from airport smooth with a helpful friendly driver Had them before, would have them again!
