The first time Hays and Sons arranged to meet with me to discuss my bathroom renovation, I expected one person who would talk to me for one half hour at the most. Instead, 3 people from Hays showed up - the General Manager (Heath), the Estimator (Brad), and my personal Project Manager (Allen). They all listened intently to "my vision" and then spent the next two hours (!) discussing exactly how they could accomplish it. That was my first encounter with Hays and Sons and I was absolutely blown away by the interest they all showed in making sure I would be happy with the final result. That sense of awe never faded in the time they worked on my bathroom. The drywallers (Rob and Joe) who were faced with a completely demolished bathroom did an exemplary job of replacing the flooring and walls, taking extra care to ensure the new flooring would be at the correct level to allow for tiles. Later they did a perfect painting job and installed the new vanity and sink Meanwhile, the plumber Hays contracted to do the shower, sink, and tub installation arrived as scheduled and did his work, as did the electrician. Every step of the project was overseen and put together by Allen and Brad. I was kept informed about the days to expect each contractor and always felt that each person was doing their utmost to make every aspect perfect. The piece de resistance was the tile work. Hays only hired the best in any category and the tilers were no exception and were truly amazing. In summation, my bathroom project involved some unusual facets and every single person at Hays and Sons, as well as the outside contractors, worked to make sure that "my vision" materialized and that I was happy with the result. I have never been as impressed with a group of people representing a company as I have been with Hays and Sons. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and sincere desire to do the best job possible is exceptional and rarely encountered. I am thrilled and enthusiastically recommend them for any project.

Had a tree fall on our house and damage our roof, resulting in a roof replacement. Brad and Allen were with us from beginning to end and went above and beyond to ensure the project went smoothly. Their level of customer service was exceptional, including response time and attentiveness. Rob worked on interior damage with our kitchen ceiling and deck... his experience and expertise was evident from the get go. Our only glitch was with the sub-contractors for our roof, who were not easy to work with and left nails throughout our gravel driveway. They destroyed of tarp of ours in the process and threw it in the dumpster along with full sheets of OSB. I had questions and concerns while they were here, but due to a language barrior, things didn't get addressed. In the end, some things were done incorrectly, but it was too late to change. That said, the roof and the project is complete and I am extremely grateful that Allen, Brad and Rob were so easy and kind to work with. It was a crazy storm, and all those guys were working triple time! Thank you and great job!!

Quentin and Benjamin came out to our house for water mitigation after we had an ice dam from snow/ice and water entered our home. Our insurance recommended Hays and sons and they responded the same day. They were professional and set up equipment and came back multiple days until the walls were dry. We have another appointment for drywall repair coming soon. Both Quentin and Benjamin were a pleasure and they explained where the moisture was located and the steps to dry out these areas. I recommend them both.

Quentin, Benjamin, Joe, Rob, and Brad have been amazingly helpful and reassuring throughout the entire process. They came out the same day they were contacted after trees fell on my house due to a storm. They immediately mitigated the water damage, put a tarp over my roof, and made sure the house was safe and secure until the restoration process could begin. They worked well past normal working hours and did a thorough job. They have answered all of my questions and have answered my calls and texts every time I have reached out. They were there when the insurance adjuster came and have worked with him every step of the way. I have never felt rushed or blown off when asking questions, and if one of the guys doesn't have an answer, they contact the manger and get back with me right away. They came out every day until there was zero sign of moisture! I feel comfortable and safe having them work inside my house. They are all personable, kind, and seem very honest. I used the Bloomington, Indiana, Hays and Sons office on a barn restoration project in which they did amazing work. When I had a pipe fitting break under the sink in our kitchen I knew who to call. They arrived promptly and immediately began controlling the water damage. They stuck with it until everything was dry, including appropriate humidity in the ambient air. Benjamin and Quentin, the remediation workers, were very responsive to our circumstances and requests. Our 47 year old custom built cedar cabinets had to be removed to dry things out. It seemed hopeless that they could ever be put back together, but Rob is a master carpenter. He got everything back in amazing shape. Zach helped with tricky scheduling as floor replacement workers came in, etc. Heath helped with insurance intricacies, and Kelly, worked with me on insurance adjuster payment frustrations. I’ve had two experiences with Hays And Sons. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work they did, or how easy it was to work with them. I recommend them highly.
