We came home from a vacation to find the water supply line to our refrigerator had burst. Water everywhere and the finished basement a mess with drywall ceilings collapsed among other things. Jason, Garrett, and Shane came out daily until all the water was dried. These guys truly did care and treated my family as if it were their own. Special props to Jason who came out later on the final day of water mitigation - he had a long day and still stayed until 8:30pm to cover all of my exposed sub-flooring with protective paper so my toddlers wouldn’t hurt their feet. Bless these guys I can’t recommend them enough. Edit: I ended up hiring them for the restoration process of the water damage. It’s still ongoing, but I wanted to mention that Logan and James have come out and done a wonderful job on numerous tasks. They were also very good around my 5-year-old twins, who tend to be quite shy around unfamiliar faces. Props, guys!

Hays + Sons was called in to mitigate water damage due to a drain line malfunction of an attic air conditioner’s air handler. The water had run down through a hallway wall and underneath a wood parquet floor. The technicians removed damaged flooring and set up fans and a dehumidifier to dry remaining moisture. An estimator was called in and prepared a detailed plan for insurance purposes. He listened to my concerns and clearly explained what the process entailed. Hays will start putting things back together soon. I have been impressed with all Hays personnel’s professionalism and would not hesitate recommending them highly.

My experience with hays and sons was nothing less than a positive, professional experience. I was a little worried at first only because I had never hired a contractor before, and didn’t know what to expect. My estimator, Randy, explained the whole process thoroughly so I didn’t have any surprises, and was quick to respond when I had questions, and my project manager, Jeff, exceeded my expectations. When we ordered my cabinets they arrived damaged, and the vendors gave us a little push back on returning them. I was approved for basic shaker style cabinets and Jeff went above and beyond and was somehow able to get the regional Home Depot manager to come all the way from Indianapolis to my house to assess the damage and come to a resolution. They were replaced with solid wood cabinets with soft close doors that are absolutely gorgeous at no additional charge. Waiting on the new cabinets to arrive slowed down the process a little because we had to wait for the cabinets before the floor could be installed, and even during that downtime, Jeff stayed in contact with me everyday by email, or phone and always kept me in the loop of what was happening which I appreciated. I never felt “scammed” or my home “disregarded” in anyway. I’m so thankful for the work they put in to make my home so beautiful! Thank you hays and sons team!

After a leaking water line caused damage to our home, Hays + Sons arrived quickly and stopped any further damage. They then began the process of cleaning up and fixing all the damage that had been caused. They were professional and helpful every step of the way. Each day they worked hard to get our home back to normal, and always made sure to clean up at the days end. Once work was completed, we sat down in person and went through every item they fixed. I had a water leak in my house that damaged the hardwood floor. Hays + Sons was contracted to perform the initial remediation. They took steps to dry the surrounding area to prevent further problems and they tried to save the significantly warped floor. The floor had been wet too long to be salvaged; all of the adjacent areas were successfully dried. The water damaged flooring was removed and the mess was cleaned up and hauled away. The Hays' team actions allowed me time to review replacement options without being concerned about possible mold issues.

Within hours of notification, they had dispatched people to perform cleanup and mitigation of any mold. Our families home caught fire on Christmas Eve. They came out on Christmas Eve to board the house up. The house was back on fire when they arrived to board it up. They contacted the fire department for me and they came back on Christmas day to finally board the house up. After the fire department was finished making sure that the fire was completely out. We had a flood of water in our lower level. We used a remediation company suggested by our insurance. Almost as soon as they were "done", we noticed dampness and a stale smell. Hays was working next door with a resident who had damage from the same event. I asked Hays employee Shane if he would come look at our situation. He very diplomatically identified deficiencies in the work performed, and took moisture readings which indicated elevated moisture levels in several locations. We immediately contacted our insurance company and engaged Hays, and asked specifically for Shane to do our work. Shane turned out to be as accommodating and professional as we first thought. And all of the Hays people we had contact with were great. The work was completed quickly and we now have a dry lower level. I highly recommend Hays + Sons. (And Shane if you can get him.)

I had water leak into my basement from the heavy rains we had back in the spring. I contacted Hays and Sons. They came out and dried up the basement. I had the foundation fixed by another company. Then I had Hayes and Sons come back to repair where the drywall and carpet areas were tore up from being wet. My basement looks exactly the same as it did before the water leak.
