Schweiger Dermatology Group provides care from dermatology providers and dermatologists in Hackensack, NJ, for concerns like acne, eczema, rosacea and routine skin checks. I was able to see Dr. Medepalli today, and I’m so grateful! I originally had my annual appointment scheduled for this Saturday, but I woke up this morning with an issue and was able to get a same-day appointment. Dr. Medepalli was also able to complete my annual exam during the visit, so I no longer need to return again this week, which I truly appreciate. Her bedside manner is amazing she explained everything thoroughly and listened to all of my concerns. The entire staff was friendly, and the office was beautiful. Highly recommend!show more

From the very first visit, she truly listened and took the time to understand what was going on instead of immediately resorting to steroids like many others do. What really stood out was her thoughtful approach, she focused on repairing Maddy’s skin barrier, which turned out to be exactly what she needed. Doctor was great, but they had me waiting there for an hour. They forgot to check me in and I was waiting there for a complete hour. Totally unacceptable. Staff is rude and unprofessional.

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the office, although it was a little confusing where it was in regards to the parking lot (in the back) stairs which I wasn't expecting. Once I found the office, the receptionist was lovely - and my provider was lovely. Explained everything to me, asked if I had any concerns. Absolutely the best! I had a biopsy done on my nose and I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma which required Mohs Surgery. The Doctors and staff are so kind and professional, and I can tell everyone genuinely cares about me and what the end result will be. The entire staff is amazing. Very honest, informative and kind. I highly recommend. One tip is parking- the office is located in the Medical Pavilion at Hackensack Hospital and you will have to park in the garage. There are two different sides of the garage- and two sets of elevators so make sure you use the Medical Pavilion side for both and take note of where you park. The office will comp your parking at the front desk.

I came to Joelle O'Connor, licensed esthetician at the Hackensack location, in January 2025 with hormonal acne breakouts all over my cheeks. I was at the point where I was hopeless on my skincare journey. Being that my wedding was in April, I was super panicked. Joelle was immediately kind, friendly and confident. I was skeptical because I had tried oral acne medications and strong topicals, nothing was working. She started me on a more holistic skincare regiment along with custom facials every 3 weeks, and assured me patience and consistency is key. Within 3 months, right in time for my wedding, my face was so improved, I am still in awe. I couldn't recommend her enough!! I trust her completely with my face and skin. Her expertise and hands are like magic and I am so grateful I found her. I usually would not like to post images of my skin journey, but if I could encourage just one person struggling with acne to see Joelle, it is worth it.

Long review but worth the read!! With the cold winter months upon us I started to notice MAJOR drying and flaking on my face. I went to a different dermatology group on 12/9 and explained my wedding was set for 12/20 and I just needed it to be even 25% better. Well a rosacea diagnosis and harsh face wash later and it was 60% worse by 12/14. I rushed to Schweiger that morning and cried in the office for help from the dermatologist. She gave me some good advice but really suggested I get in ASAP with Joelle O’Connor their esthetician, for a calming hydrating facial. I made an appoint with her for Monday 12/16 and am writing this review only TWO DAYS later to rave that my skin is doing amazing ! Joelle is kind, passionate, and honestly a skin guru. I booked another appointment with her and will continue to see her with complete trust that she knows her stuff! Thank you Joelle for saving my face for my wedding !

This was probably the best Doctor office experience I have ever had. They text you when appts open up earlier than you want and you can take an earlier appt. It helped me bypass like a 1.5 week wait. The staff there were all very friendly and it was late at night. ( 6:40pm) so after a long day of dealing with patients they still all were friendly and happy to help. Don't believe every google rating, I walked in the office with skepticism and saw that there were a lot of patients which I thought would mean I had a long wait. The intake desk was quick and got me to my waiting area where I only waited maybe 10-15 minutes and the waiting was packed. I was in and out within an hour or less and I had a considerable amount of issues to go over.

The doctor I saw was professional and warm, but the staff at the front said I was "good to go" and sent me on my way without returning ID or insurance card, and failed to inform me that they validate parking. As a patient I should have been more mindful to retrieve my IDs, but the staff also should have taken the initiative to provide parking validation and return IDs as well. I had to turn around, park again at the hospital, and go upstairs to the office where they did kindly resolve the issue. The whole ordeal would not have happened if they just asked simple questions at checkout - that's the purpose of checkout.

She’s been taking care of my skin since September and my skin is progressing rather quickly! She’s sweet, professional, provides information I need to know for the present and the future while willing to answer any questions. Only thing I dislike is being unable to reach the practice/front desk directly. You would have to go through a third party and wait for a request or answer which is inconvenient. I needed to see a dermatologist since my previous one didn't fit my schedule. I arrived at the office being unprepared, I had a rough morning and couldn't remember where I left my referral at. The ladies at the front desk were very polite and they said that I could call my doctor's office to fax it and I would be seen right away. I was taken in the room in under 30 minutes. Right away the doctor came in after the nurse and I told her everything that was wrong with my skin. She gave me recommendations about skincare that I should use. I told her about the otc allergy pills that I was taking and she suggested that I should use a different one as those would be stronger than the ones I'm taking. She prescribed me with couple refills of ointment and I was out in an instant! I made sure to stop by the desk to get a parking pass. Overall, successful visit and I'll be making an appointment soon when I need to.

Probably the best dermatologists location I have ever been to, I’ve been in a few in Manhattan and this place was amazing. Very helpful, attentive, informative, would highly recommend. I really liked the paperless touchscreen for the documents. I also had a problem with my insurance and the pharmacy was trying to charge me $335, after contacting the Schweiger Dermatology Group, they were able to find me a location that delivered it to me for only $50! Love this place.

I was recommended some years ago now, to give Hackensack Skin and Laser a shot, and I was always impressed with the office and Erin Courtney being my doctor here. She takes the time to listen and is very thorough at what she does. Any concerns I may have had were always reviewed and then examined carefully. I have never felt any worries coming and always left feeling stress free. She is top notch in her field! On my last exam though, my experience was made even more better because never can I remember had I ever had someone be such a great receptionist in such a long time. I am referring to Lysnel at the main desk. Now, I can be one of THOSE pains! In particular, I kept asking pretty much the same question in various ways because I am paranoid about things and need to hear certain things repeated multiple times. Lysnel took it in stride. She kept assuring me of everything I needed to know, did it with the utmost professional curtesy, and was nothing but GENUINE; she made me feel like I mattered, something that I haven't really felt before in many doctor's visits in my past (from other doctors/services). With this visit, again, Lysnel just pushed it over the top by providing what I look for in someone (and what we need especially during THESE days): a perfect representative for what a REAL human being should be, and that's everything I explained above!

I went to have dry facial skin diagnosed to see exactly what was causing it. I was in an out within 30 minutes. I saw Nurse Practitioner Erin Courtney. She was very kind and very knowledgeable. She immediately recognized what was causing my condition after asking a short series of questions regarding when it pops up as well as examining it close up. She prescribed me a cream and told me to use a skin cleanser and moisturizer in addition. It's been 3 weeks, and her regimen has worked perfectly! My skin has never been clearer. I highly recommend making an appointment with this practice if you suffer from skin disorders! It worked wonders for me!

Wow did I get lucky finding this place! First of all the staff is extremely welcoming and make you feel comfortable instantly. Tina Fermano is a GEM and I can’t say enough great things about her. I have several friends who visit Tina for a variety of different things and can’t get enough of her as well.

Tina Fermano a Dermatology board certified PA-C is a God send. Has an eye and skill to execute for the cosmetic derm and wealth of knowledge for medical derm issues I've had that other full fledged MD board certified docs could not control. Plus the personality of a genuine person who cares, difficult to find in this day and age. A bit expensive but you get what you pay for, Dr. Goldberg is the Guru of lasers for Dermatology, even working with big names like Neutrogena on cutting edge products and devices.

Another glowing recommendation for Dr. Golubets and the team over at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of NY & NJ! I was going to keep my secret under wraps, but with the results I've seen... women need to know. I was insecure about deep forehead wrinkles for the past couple of years. Chemical peels, microdermabrasion, mindfully relaxing my face- you name it, I've tried it. Nothing worked. Although I went into the office for something unrelated, Dr. Golubets was so welcoming, warm and knowledgeable that I was comfortable enough to share my insecurities upon just meeting her. She recommended Botox; I was skeptical, concerned but open to explore the option. I can't believe I've waited so long to make the leap. I will forever be a client. Go see her... life-changing!

I love this place. I tried out another dermatologist and when I asked what I had on my face he said I needed to see a regular doctor. This didn't happen HERE! Dr. Goldberg answered any of my questions and as soon as he walked in the room he gave me a diagnosis. He knows his stuff and I highly recommend him.
