Our chaplain has been so helpful to our team. Though not everyone gives permission for him to reach out, those that have talked to him have found it beneficial. It's an added benefit that people might know that they want.

CCA is a great partner of our business. Our chaplain Rocky is a trusted friend and counselor to our organization. He attends and participates in our weekly prayer kickoff and makes rounds in our home office. He has come alongside our employees as they walked through family loss and visited with our employees who were recovering at home from medical procedures. I have recommended CCA multiple times to other business owners and managers I know. I trust them and appreciate their ministry to our employees.

Great job!
I visit an average of two companies a day offering pastoral care and counseling during employee hours. I provide care for people regardless of religion, gender, or race. I have learned how to provide pastoral care in the workplace, working with owners, managers, and team members. The workplace culture is a diverse environment of challenges and opportunities for both employees and chaplains. Gaining the trust of the employees is paramount and often leads to lasting relationships! I enjoy working alongside employees and helping them with life’s challenges. The most rewarding and enjoyable times is when you see the amazing resiliency of the human body, mind, and spirit overcoming seemingly impossible obstacles!

Adding Corporate Chaplains of America is the greatest employee benefit we could ever give to our employees. CCA does a great job at our corporate office and our satellite locations as well. This was the best decision we ever made as a company. Our Chaplain, Charles Wheeler, has helped our staff beyond reckoning. We had an employee that didn't show up for work, and we could get not get in touch with her. She had a medical issue, and we were very concerned. Charles got in touch with her, found out that she was very ill, arranged an ambulance, met her at the hospital, and stayed with her for hours. I cannot give him high enough praise. He was able to do what we could not do, and possibly saved someones life. If you are considering Corporate Chaplains, do it. They can help your employees when you cannot.
A rewarding and spiritual blessing
What is the best part of working at the company? The teachings, continuous learning and the great people. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? I wouldn't call it stress I would say the most important thing is to keep a balance and a healthy mental and spiritual life as you provide life changing care. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Is a Spiritual one and also one that embrasses there employees! What is a typical day like for you at the company? Busy but rewarding, challenging at times but one that is a blessing to do !
Pretty good company
Corporate Chaplains is a pretty good company. It is a high stress job and chaplains are always on call. Chaplains are expected to provide their own vehicles, fuel, technology (computers, cell phone, tablet, etc.), office space, and any other material support to do one's job. The Corporate Chaplains of America provided uniform shirts at 1/2 price and some books to give to clients from time to time. The company provided pay and clients. The workload can vary. The pay was below average for the area in which I worked; especially considering that a master's degree is required and I provided everything to do the job. Chaplains are on call 24/7. A chaplain might work for several weeks without a day off if (s)he has funerals to perform/attend and/or employees or family members of employees in the hospital. Chaplains often have 800 or more employees to serve. The chances are pretty good that someone is in the hospital over the course of a month. Chaplains attend required training meetings twice per year. Travel and most meals were paid by the company. These meetings were usually held on three day weekends so as not to interrupt the work week. There was a lot of reporting required. The amount grew over the years and it got to where it was difficult to do the job and keep track of everything that was required to be reported.

What is the best part of working at the company? Godly, Christ-centered, safe, confidential, caregiving is by permission only. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Being on-call, but only minimally. 90% of the time is a normal routine. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The Support Center, directors, other chaplains are amazingly supportive. The companies that are served are for the most part happy to see the chaplains each week. Company owners and CEOs are very glad to have their chaplains. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Making rounds once per week to as many of the employees as possible. It's a friendly reminder that their chaplain is here for them whenever they need.
