I can honestly say we almost thought about canceling cooks but since we got a new tech who listens we're staying. Paul is AMAZING and LISTENS to your complaints. We don't have to think about when services are needed, you communicate well, we never have issues (we tried other places, for regular bug service, after about 6 weeks started seeing bugs in the home, switched back to you, no more bugs). Finally, your staff is wonderful. Robert has been treating our home for years now and he is just so nice. I called 3 termite companies to try to get an older house on a termite program and to get a WIR for my mortgage. Mr.Buggs came out and looked under the house. Said the crawlspace wasn't crawlable because of an air conditioning duct that divided off the house. I asked what I could do to remedy the situation. He said very rudely "nothing, we can't help you." I called Wayne's pest control, they wouldn't even come look at it. They said they wouldn't pick up a house that hadn't previously had a bond on it. I called Vulcan termite. They came and crawled the house but would not bond it because at one time in the past we had powder post beetles but they were not here now. I asked the guy "so what am I supposed to do, throw a match in it and start over?" He said call Cooks. So I did. Best advise I have gotten. Andrew from the Bham office came out and looked it over. He told me what I needed to do to get them access where they needed to be. It was a lot of work but I added 2 more crawlspace entrances and dug out a place that was too narrow to access. In the end I got my guarantee, WIR,and closed on my house last Friday. Cooks looked for ways to help me with my problem rather than look for a reason to turn me down like the other guys. I will be a Cooks customer for as long as I own a home. THANK YOU!

I've used them since I bought my house in 2009 and I have had a spider invasion once, a centipede invasion once, and German cockroaches once that came in with boxes of stuff. He was right on top of it and got rid of them.

We had a german roach infestation in the kitchen (seeing @ 10-15 a day). I decided the only solution would be to burn the house down and start over but my husband convinced me to try a pest control company first. I had Cook's many years ago and not once in the 6 years I used them did I see a bug in the house so I figured if anyone could get it under control it would be them. Our technician was/is Michael. This man has no fear. He came in, got to the source and went right to work as I stood in horror expecting these spawns of the devil himself to be plotting their revenge on me when he left. Fast forward a few days and half a bottle of nerve pills later...I was down to only seeing 1-3 and after about 2 weeks I never saw them again. Customer service is always wonderful as well. A big high five to all of the techs that do this on a daily basis and an extra high five to my guy Michael. I have mad respect for y'all.

Cook’s is handling our pest control and also installed a vapor barrier and vents for our crawlspace. Upon installation of the first vent, which was to be inset 6 inches in the brick, the brick and mortar crumbled around the vent. This was not a predictable event and no one’s fault. Even so, they sent two supervisors out (without my asking) and called a repair service to come out and repair the brick, all of which took place very quickly. My husband and I were pleased with their service regardless, but they have gone above and beyond to ensure a good result. The vent that was inset is being re-installed with a different vent type and our brick is being fixed and painted to match. We are very thankful for their help and quick resolution of any issue. Furthermore, the vapor barrier has made a drastic improvement reducing the relative humidity within our home ~40-50%. The young man who installed it was very polite and dutiful. Very happy, five stars.

I live just few hundred feet from the Cahaba river as well as from a lake. My house also backs up to a forest. So much water and so many places for mosquitos to breed.
