Camp Smile is a well-established full-service pediatric dental practice, specifically designed for infants, children, teens and patients with special needs. Our specialty trained doctors are skilled in providing a broad range of preventive, restorative, orthodontic and emergency services. Camp Smile takes pride in having the latest technologies and recently added the Solea hard and soft tissue laser. This laser allows us to complete most filling without the need for numbing and is one additional trick we have to treat patients! Put simply, we believe dental care can be an exciting, fun, and enriching experience for all of our campers. We loved our visit with Dr. Tran-Wexler!! Everything went very smoothly, they educated the girls on good hygiene and told them everything they were going to do before they did it, including letting them touch the tools so they wouldnt be scared! They were also able to get both of my girls in at the same time so we didnt need to be there longer than necessary, and they were right next to each other so I could be present for both. Camp Smile gets 8 thumbs up from our family!

She was fairly good with my squirming 6yo; I was there to manage him mostly she could learn it's ok for her to be a touch more assertive with metering his talking & squirming; (my opinion as Mom but Im aware some moms wouldnt want their child to be told "please sit a little more still bc...)Explaining "why" to 3+yo helps telling understand he needs to sit still (you need to be still so this "window scraper?!" for teeth can get all the old plaque off and not slip & hurt your soft gums. if you move around it could poke your gums & hurt. But if you're still then it's less likely to happen)so he understands vs just thinks hes being controlled to sit still. Also maybe tell him to raise his hand if he has something to say since he pulled his head away to talk & again could get jabbed. But this is so minor to the awesome job cleaning & xrays she did.

We came to Camp Smile for a second opinion after our previous dentist had recommended general anesthesia for our our sons dental procedure due anxiety at the dental office. From our very first interaction at the front desk, we were greeted with kindness and enthusiasm. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, patient and caring. My son showed no signs of anxiety and was at ease, even enjoying himself with the creative distractions provided. The dentist we saw came up with great alternatives to anesthesia, previously recommended. Dr. Dwight at Camp Smile Orthodontics went above and beyond yesterday as our daughter has several months to go in her braces journey but recently has had some health issues and is needing an MRI, we surprisingly got one for next week and he made time and rearranged schedules to get her braces off and get a retainer made for her so she can get the MRI as fast as possible. They were so kind and I am so grateful as it's already stressful and they made it easy. I was already happy with their care and now I am Thrilled with it! I highly recommend them and their dentistry team as we've been using them for over 12 years I have two older kids now they were very sad to outgrow them I mean everyone wants a superball after your appointment! I have a sad follow up to report, our insurance has now changed and we didn't know they were out of network nor did they ask our minor child for her new card prior or after treatment, instead she was treated as "normal" and now we are left with a huge bill that should've been "free" and the staff is unwilling to help. while I understand some of that is on me for not double checking it's also on them for treating her with no new documents in place. We even offered to go halves as there's fault on both sides. Just a consumer be ware as our family has spent A lot there over the years with three kids and I thought we'd be treated better than this. I think reviews should be honest and are here to help guide so hopefully my issue won't be yours one day!

Outstanding experience. Hard to find neurodiverse-affirming care in an ultra fun environment. Love their motto of “rewriting the pediatric dental experience.” Best part? You get to use a token in the bouncy ball machine at the end of your visit! My AuDHD daughter loved this part -AND- she still got to pick out her favorite color bouncy ball from the front desk afterwards (#win). Bonus logistics that helped: TV screens with Netflix on the ceiling during cleaning/procedures, colorful waiting area with play climber, patient staff that take the time to explain & teach, NO SHAMING about brush/floss/etc, and alternate prizes of chapstick & mints (for kids who don’t want a bouncy ball).

I brought my 2.5 year old and it was such an amazing experience. Our dental assistant Amber and Dr. Bobbi were amazing with my daughter. The entire way home she begged to go back to the dentist! The details they have and the way they keep her comfortable are truly fabulous! My only feedback on the negative is they have first time patient forms both electronic as well as paper. They take a ton of time to do both and are fairly redundant. Offering one or the other would sure help a busy working mom. Every time we go we are more and more impressed. Now been going there for six years!

Our 6 year old daughter fell down and broke a tooth. Another tooth was awkwardly hanging in there resulting in a lot of pain . We contacted Camp Smile Pediatric Dentistry and got a quick appointment. We met with Dr Macguire and it was determined that it was good to remove the dangling tooth. Dr Macguire and Nurse assistant Sally did a great job of putting my daughter at ease and extracting the tooth. My daughter did not even realize that her tooth was being extracted. No cries, no screams, no intolerable pain, our daughter was smiling all the way. Camp Smile has great facilities and setup for dentistry needs of little patients. I would recommend them and will be using them for my kids dental needs. Update: we have now been going there for more than 3 years. We have pretty much seen all the Doctors, DrAmelia, Dr Bobbi, Dr McGuire and our experience with each one of them has been outstanding. Will continue to use their services in future. They have remodeled their Plymouth office and we had a great experience.

I believe my daughters hygienist was Lindy and she spoke to my toddler in away she understood and made her feel comfortable with her first visit. She was literally miss Rachel in scrubs. Lol. Dr.Collin was amazing! He gave daughter options as to what she wanted to do for teeth cleaning and exam. He made her feel like part of the exam and explained the tools he was using. The place was very welcoming. My son (autistic and ADHD, 6 1/2 years old) loved the play setup in the waiting area. The staff was all warm and kind to both of us and I didn’t feel judged for how my insurance had caused delays in finding a dentist. My son had everything explained to him patiently and he was allowed to touch things before they went into his mouth. The hygienist and dentist both went at his pace and respected him and answered all of his questions. I was merely an accessory in the room for mild emotional support and his transportation. I didn’t hesitate to call back and set up my other son for an appointment tomorrow morning after we got his autism diagnosis. (They only take MA for kids with certain disabilities.)

Camp Smile is amazing! From the moment you walk in we are always greeted by friendly staff and the waiting rooms are kid friendly making any child feel relaxed and comfortable. I’ve never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time and we’re typically called back before my youngest makes it through the play area LOL! The knowledgeable and incredibly friendly dental assistants and doctors are incredible, every staff member and doctor takes their time and works around my children’s needs, they are present and focused and take however much time is needed to make my kids feel comfortable and safe. I also take comfort in knowing that they have the latest technology for example, they have a new technology for fillings that’s totally different, much quicker and painless which is amazing. My kids are spread out in ages from 5 to my oldest being in braces so I’ve had the opportunity to experience the high quality service for a multitude of different services and I can honestly say I’ve never left feeling completely satisfied and grateful for such an awesome place that caters to kids. The experience is consistent between locations as well - in my experience it’s a culture of care thats a standard within the company and it reflects through everyone that works there. We’ve have some “unique” circumstances and their support staff couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. They even went the extra mile to work with my insurance to submit requests that are typically denied by most insurance companies but to their support staff it was about doing the right thing not what was convenient and that’s hard to find these days. To say it simply…The name fits because all three of my kids walk out smiling after every visit and so do I!

The staff were friendly, and most importantly, the environment and approach by the whole team were very focused on making sure that the experience was not only not traumatic for our 2 year old, but even a positive and fun one. The kiddo enjoyed climbing around and driving the play van before the visit, and the bouncy ball at the end. During the visit itself, the techs and dentist were thoughtful to explain the minimum that they would do at the visit (brush teeth) and, if our kid seemed open to it, gradually adding in more (exam with mirror, flossing, flouride, etc.). By focusing on not pushing our kid’s limits, they actually ended up making our toddler comfortable enough they were able to do it all. Look forward to successful future visits.

Attentive, kid focused staff and dentists. Very helpful over the phone. Thumbs up mostly. They’ve been somewhat supportive of my choice to not use fluoride but a little antagonistic of it (at least initially) as well as delaying X-rays. We also have had some pretty subpar cleanings. We went to our orthodontist dentist immediately after a camp smile cleaning and the assistant said- it looks like I need to do some cleaning before the doctor comes in- just some build up we want to get off… I had just come from another cleaning appt for the same kiddo! But overall, I like them- especially for people who don’t prefer biological dentistry. It would be awesome if they had a dentist there that was more holistic in their approach for those of us that appreciate a less conventional approach.

I could not have been happier with our experience at the Plymouth location of Camp Smile. The appointments were easy to book, staff very helpful and friendly over the phone. My toddler (2), loves the waiting room with the big car to drive and climb. I brought both of my littles at the same time (2 yrs and 10 months), and they each had a great experience. My 2 yr old is typically VERY wary of strangers and I wasn’t even sure they would be able to even get her to open her mouth, but they were very accommodating with letting her sit on my lap the entire exam, and the hygienist was so patient and calm- she was able to brush and floss my daughters teeth without any tears! A miracle. The dentist was equally friendly and patient. On the way out the staff gives you a token to get a bouncy ball out of their big machine and it was the highlight of my daughter’s whole day:) We will definitely be coming back! The only slight downside is parking kind of sucks because the lot is really busy since it’s in the hospital building- just give yourself a few extra minutes.

It is really nice seeing how intentional Camp Smile is about their space from the design of the building to the thought strategy of the dental hygienists and dentists . I love that the staff is willing to meet the child where they are at based on each kid's individual needs and are so patient. I watched my kid go through an entire exam and I'd never seen him so comfortable in a dentist chair! The assistant patiently explained each task she was going to perform, likened it to something relatable to a child, and patiently began the task being mindful of the kid's response and pausing for breaks as needed. It was so comforting to witness as a parent! I can't imagine taking my kid elsewhere. I'm grateful to have found this place and recommend them to anyone who will listen!

Quick and thoughtful response by on-call emergency dentist (during 4th quarter of the SuperBowl) assured us we could safely wait until morning to address the issue. Easily got appt at 10 am Monday am. Doc McGuire (sp?) was thorough, thoughtful, helpful and reassuring. And he was able to do the “fix” procedure to repair two chipped teeth right away. So, my teen daughter chipped her teeth during Q3 of the SuperBowl and was evaluated, patched up and in school by lunchtime the next day. Fantastic! I was initially referred to Camp Smile by my dentist for my almost 2 year old. He had chipped a tooth and I wanted to get it looked at. They were able to get me in really quickly (same day!) which was great because of course I was concerned. This place is a kid’s dream when it comes to a doctor’s office. Not sure about the other locations, but the Plymouth location is decked out with a mini VW bus climbing area and everything is bright and fun. The staff and doctor were great. We ended up bringing both of our toddlers a month after the emergency visit to establish care. They are masters at getting your kids to cooperate and not hate the dentist! They gave my toddlers fun little toys, let them pick their toothpaste flavor, and got them warmed up to the scary parts of going to a dentist. They get a token at the end of their appointment that they can insert into a gum ball machine that is full of bouncy balls. Aside from all of the cool kids stuff, the hygienist and dentist were really nice and took the time to answer all our questions. I didn’t feel rushed or brushed off in any way. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience here with an emergency dental procedure for my 7 year old daughter. They were able to get us in same day, just a couple hours after calling. Their office has a great layout and interior design and is family friendly with a climbing structure for little kids in the waiting room. They offered ipads to play on for our kids who had to wait while their sister was in her procedure. Most importantly, the staff were all friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The dentist was able to realign my daughter's injured permanent tooth that got bumped downward when she fell outta her bed in the early morning and it looks like it will heal in the correct position, so we are super grateful for that and for Camp Smile's help!

Dr. Amelia Leuer is one of the best people I’ve ever met! My 3 year old daughter needed extensive dental work including 2 root canals. Her dentist (at the time) would not treat her until we could get scheduled at Children’s Hospital for the procedure. She was in a lot of pain and couldn’t chew a bite of food without crying. We had never been to Camp Smiles before and Dr. Leuer fit her in for a same day appointment after explaining our situation. After assessing what could be done for my daughter in clinic that day, she made time so she could treat her with protective fillings. She wasn’t going to let her leave the clinic in pain. Not only that, she sang “Let it go” to help calm her during the procedure. My daughter left smiling, PAIN FREE! If it weren’t for Dr. Leuer, she would have had to wait 5 weeks in pain until we could get her root canal done. We weren’t established patients and we had to see our old dentist for the root canal so I could tell she truly cared about my daughter’s wellbeing… and her very worried mother! We are so very thankful for Dr. Leuer! She’s not only an amazing dentist but also a great person!

Dr. Bobbie and all of the staff here fantastic, and are great with kids of all ages. They will also schedule multiple children at the same time, to make things easier for families when it's check up time. One appointment time for three kids? Yes please! From the moment you walk in the door, you can see that they really care about making kids comfortable and help them see going to the dentist as a fun activity rather than something to be feared. The lighting and decor in the reception/lobby area is bright but fun, adding to the laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. The VW Bus play structure is always a favorite of my kids, who love to turn the steering wheel and climb all over it. The surf board and water skis mounted to it add to the overall theme of a fun summer party that hits as soon as you enter. If there had been a dental practice like this when I was a kid, I probably wouldn't have anxiety issues surrounding the dentist that I do to this day!

My 9 year old knocked out a tooth on Saturday. We called the emergency number and was contacted back in minutes. Dr. Brittany had us send in pictures, she called back and asked us to meet in the office. She was amazing and capped the tooth until we could come in during normal business hours. I was referred to Camp Smile by my daughter’s pediatrician. I liked that the dentist was in the same building as her doctor (easier for me to remember). When I arrived I was greeted right away by a friendly front desk staff member. I was using my daughters stroller (hurt back) and it was a little tight but I found a spot in the waiting room right next to the closed (assuming due to Covid) play area. The only thing that I noticed was the music in the waiting area was on the louder side, which I’m sure some people like, just not for me. We were called back within 5ish min of our appointment time which was great and we were brought to a room with a desk instead of a dental chair like you would imagine. My daughter is only 1 year old, so the provider did a lap exam. The dental assistant and doctor were very nice and knowledgeable. They made sure I understood everything and asked if I had any questions and scheduled her 6 month appointment as well. I would definitely recommend this office and Dr. Brittany.

One of my kids has severe fear of the dentist. This is the only office that I could get him to allow treatment. He no longer has meltdowns about going to the dentist. He always leaves with a smile and special prize. Recently my other child had trauma to his teeth and lost half of his two top front adult teeth. His regular dentist sent us out on referral to have 2 root canals. We went to a specialist who did not work with kids. To say it did not go well was an understatement. We did not go through with the procedure and that we would have to just keep coming in and hope it would eventually be completed. My child left 100% traumatized. I called camp smile looking for sedation dentistry Now almost three weeks after his accident and continually being told by other offices that earliest appointments were late August. They got us in the next morning! Over the years ive been constantly blown away by how amazing this office is with my older child. Not only did she approach my scared 8 year old, missing half of his teeth, with such kindness and understanding but she discovered that root canals were not needed at all! Not only that but his teeth will be repaired next week! I am beyond thankful for camp smile. I will gladly drive the 40 minutes. I have complete confidence in their abilities and skills. Highly reccomend! My only 'complaint' is not about them at all but about how hard it is to find parking. Plan an extra 10 to 15 to park and get up to the office.

It was my very first time to your clinic as a neighbor recommended camp smile. I was greeted with some attitude because I was 10 minutes late. I have 3 kids under 3, and live in a very cold environment. There are several extra steps I have to take and unfortunately, it's hard to plan and be on time for anything these days. However, the hygienist was great! Very kid-friendly. My son warmed up to her immediately. The dentist was kind. And answered my questions with sufficient detail. My son LOVED the token at the end. My 6 year old daughter is not good at the dentist but the dental hygienists at Camp Smile put her and my first timer 3 year old son (and me) at ease during their checkup. Very good at introducing my kids to all the dental tools while doing a thorough cleaning. Would definitely recommend!

We opted to switch doctors for our most recent visit hoping a fresh start with a different Dentist would help my 6 year old have more positive interactions and an overall smoother experience. The dentist and hygienist we had previously been seeing was fine with my son-no complaints- but not my daughter (who is very anxious about dental visits). We chose not to share feedback regarding this at the time as we do understand sometimes it’s just not a good fit and I’m not a confrontational person and hate to share negative feedback or come across as a complainer. After seeing Dr. Brittany today I left feeling so impressed with her and the hygienist working with her. It actually made me feel cheated in our previous experiences. They were confident and respectful in their approach and didn’t once make mention of my daughter’s anxiousness in a negative way which was appreciated and much more productive than our previous experiences of a reprimanding tone taken by the dentist and hygienist. (We received messages like ‘No’ ‘stop’ ‘you need to…’ and even ‘your daughter has a flair for the dramatic’. So very relieved we found Dr Brittany today, she is so great!

This is a great dentist office for kids from the moment they walk through the door! Staff are friendly and appointments are timely. Because it is such a popular and busy office, have your act together because they run a tight ship. Do not be late and have all needed paperwork ready ahead of time or they will make you reschedule! There is also not as much interaction with the actual dentists, unless there is an issue, just the hygienists.

From the moment you walk in the door, this dentist office is geared towards little people. They did great job making my little ones feel comfortable and were so patient when my 3 year old got scared. Both the dentist and assistant were lovely and patient with him as he worked through his fears and were able to get to see everything they needed so we can get his mouth healthy again. We won’t be going anywhere else for our children’s dental needs. I cannot say enough great things about how truly wonderful they are.

We had our first visit to Camp Smile yesterday based off a friend's recommendation and we were NOT disappointed. From the moment you walk in, the office looks like a summer camp with an indoor playground. The staff were very friendly and it was obvious during my son's exam (he turns 3 in a week) that they were well-versed in treating young kids. My son was comfortable the entire time and even thought it was fun! At the end he got a magic token that he could take to a prize machine which was just a perfect end cap to a really intentional and comfortable experience. We already plan on coming back! Dr. Bobbi was wonderful with both of my children. We sure miss Dr. Raether, but Bobbi did just as awesome of a job! She makes it fun for the kids, and doesn't push braces (age 9 and 11). If they need braces we are in, but she is one to wait for all baby teeth to fall out. I recommend this dentistry for your kids because they will actually look forward to each visit. It was my 4 yo son’s first dentist visit and he left skipping in the parking lot yelling “I love the dentist” and asking when he could go back. (Seriously!) It’s a fun atmosphere and they make it a safe welcoming environment for kids. The staff are really friendly and were patient with my son. The dental assistant took the time to explain everything she was doing and all the tools she would be using and had fun creative ways to describe the process so my 4 yo could understand. The design of the space is not only Instagram-able but it's fun, creative and perfectly inviting for kids of all ages. My daughter has had a wonderful experience at camp smile. She’s had some complicated procedures and due to her disability, is particularly uncomfortable with having doctors in her mouth. Camp Smile has always treated her and myself with respect and a helpful attitude. The assistants and dentists are always willing to find a solution for my daughter and have made an uncomfortable experience for her a somewhat fun time. Most recently one of the assistants helped to calm her down during a procedure by singing one of her favorite songs from finding Nemo (just keep swimming)… It did help! My daughter has always left camp-smile with a smile on her face and we are grateful to have found a dentist that is able to support her needs so happily.

Dr. Bobbi has been my 4 daughters dentist for over 10 years! She is our absolute favorite. Dr. Bobbi has always listened to our concerns and has so much compassion for her patients. My daughter, who has anxiety, recently had to have a filling. Dr. Bobbi immediately picked up on my daughters nonverbal cues and changed the original plan, all while putting my daughter at complete ease, and talking her through the entire procedure. Everything at our appointment today was wonderful! My 5 year old was a rockstar and the hygienist was fantastic with her. My 2 year old, like usual, was very nervous. The hygienist took her aside and played some games with her to show her all the tools they would be using. It worked wonders! Camp Smile has been a great place to take my daughter (age 9). Always kind and gentle. Today’s experience went beyond our expectations, they were running about 10-15 late for her appointment which they communicated to my daughter. Apologized and got her in as soon as possible. Then while being seen the front desk staff delivered a hand written note with a gift. Totally unnecessary but very appreciated. To take that time means something. I have worked in health care for 15 years and always try to be respectful of people’s time, sometimes it can’t be helped but when you acknowledge and apologize it makes a huge difference. The gift wasn’t necessary after they had done the communication but was a very kind gesture and a sign that they cared what their patients think.

Blown away ….. I never get on here to write reviews about anything but this week I was blessed to meet the most sweet caring souls I’ve ever encountered!! My daughter had an emergency situation where she was up with a tooth ache all night so I called the emergency after hours in the middle of the night in tears not knowing what to do or what will be the solution & talked with the amazing dr. Kylie ! She Gave me Some advise to get through the night as I had called at 1:00am and said she’d look at see if she has any Available spots open for the following day ….. the night was hard , I was running on an hour of sleep and got a call early that morning that had a spot open at the Chaska location for them to see my daughter!!! I was so relieved!!! As a parent when you see your child in pain, there is nothing more scary and traumatic; expecially not being able to release it ! She had a pretty big chip that developed an infection in her molar ! We arrived at the Chaska location (we normally go to plymouth) at 2:20pm, and everyone from the front desk, to the amazing assistants — were so warm, welcoming, and comforting towards me and my daughter !! I was an emotional mess from being overly tired and worried (as I have dental anxiety as an adult from a traumatic experience at the dentist as a child) they were so patient with me and so descriptive of all that was going to be done & long story short my daughter needed the tooth extracted ! SO SCARY as a mom to hear that … but the constantly reassured me it was going to be okay… They used laughing gas and novocaine — I got to stay with my daughter the entire time they got us in a private room with a tv on the screen & let my daughter pick what ever she wanted to watch!!! They did all they had to do to make her comfertable and got the tooth out within minutes ! My daughter never once looked uncomfortable or scared and they were amazed at how wel she did and I think a lot of it had to do with how gental and careing they were ! I’m still blown away days later ! My daughter is back to her normal self playing and pain free ! You know the saying not all hero’s wear capes ???? That is how I feel about those wonderful ladies who went out of there way for us ! I can’t remember the assistants but you 2 were just as amazing and I thank all 3 of you for taking care of her and putting this tired worried momma at ease ! I wish there was a way to repay you ❤️ I highly highly recommend camp smile I’ve met dr. Amelia & dr. Kylie and both are phenomenal and the assistance are right along side I wish I could remember their names … it was just such a long hectic day ! If you ever need a place to take your child for a first visit , an emergency situation, a teary clean ! This is the place ! Thanks again Dr. Kylie ! We love you! MaLeah & Casey ❤️❤️❤️
