Camp Smile is a well-established full-service pediatric dental practice, specifically designed for infants, children, teens and patients with special needs. Our specialty trained doctors are skilled in providing a broad range of preventive, restorative, orthodontic and emergency services. Camp Smile takes pride in having the latest technologies and recently added the Solea hard and soft tissue laser. This laser allows us to complete most filling without the need for numbing and is one additional trick we have to treat patients! Put simply, we believe dental care can be an exciting, fun, and enriching experience for all of our campers. Incredible experience for our sensitive child! We have been putting of "the first dental" appointment for our 2.5 year old for almost a year now. He is fearful of doctors and has some sensory issues. From the moment I called to register him, I knew this was going to be an excellent experience. We felt warmly welcomed, and the registration process was straightforward and simple. We were able to get an appointment very quickly. The office is located on the 3rd floor of Two Twelve Medical Center, something you should keep in mind when arriving (you may need an extra five minutes to park and find the office). Our hygienist was incredible! She was ready immediately, had a little "welcome" note personalized in the room, and had clearly red the chart and prepared to meet my child. This felt very special and personalized. She immediately got on my son's level and made the whole experience very "low pressure" and fun. She knew monster truck names and talked to my son at a perfectly age appropriate level. She was patient, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. Our doctor came in with just as much energy and enthusiasm. Dr. Kronzer was wonderful. She did the full exam while my son stayed in his wagon since he was not keen on getting into the exam chair. They did not pressure him into any parts of the exam without him being comfortable first. I really appreciated how Dr. Kronzer spoke with my son, praised him for being brave, sung to him while looking at his teeth, and gave him age appropriate instructions to keep his teeth healthy. I also appreciated how the dentist and the hygienist interacted. I could tell that the staff respected each other and had a healthy positive work environment. This was the very first medical appointment we have attended that had absolutely no tears from our son. I was so incredibly impressed. It has been a few days and he is still enthusiastically talking about his teeth and brushing without pushback! We look forward to both of our children receiving their care here for years to come.

It was a great, first dentist experience for my 2.5 year old daughter! The hygienist and doctor made it fun and low-stress. They walked through each step, explaining along the way to make her comfortable. She got an intro to all the main tools including the adjustable chair and sunglasses plus a thorough brush, floss and count/check of all her upper and lower baby teeth. She loved her stickers and bouncy ball too. We’ll be back in September!

Everyone was so helpful and informative for my Son’s dental care. My 18 year old Son has Autism , developmentally delayed. He is nonverbal. He escalates and can get aggressive. They knew exactly how to manage him and actually got him in the chair and an xray.

My 6 year-old and I visited the Chaska location after my dentists' recommendation. I cannot say enough positive things about this place! My son is Autistic and has never been able to get through a cleaning without running away... until today! Camp Smile is the only place that has been able or willing to try to meet my son's sensory needs ❤️ The hygienist, Ashley, was friendly and sooo patient. Dr. Brittany was also amazing- while taking the time to explain things as she went along! Both offered my son options and kept him engaged by allowing him to play with their tools all of which helped ease his anxiety! I'd also like to add that of the other staff members I came in contact, all had upbeat attitudes and seem to enjoy their job! This really makes a world of difference for patients, so please keep up the good work! Thank you! We'll see you again in 6 months! Update 1: My son is 7 now! Just went back to Camp Smile for check-up and cleaning. Thanks to their amazingly patient and kind staff, he got through an entire cleaning with electric toothbrush, tools and all! I could not be prouder of him nor happier with his dentist. Update 2: We visited Camp Smile again today for preventive care. My AuDHD son is now 8 years old and I'm happy to report that things went even better this time! He was able to get through the entire cleaning using all the tools thanks to the kind, compassionate care the staff provided! I'm also happy to report that he received his first set of X-rays today! Words cannot explain how appreciative I am of this clinic. We moved here from Nebraska. For 5 years I’ve looked for a dentist that will see my disabled daughter and is capable of putting her under to have her teeth fixed. For 5 years I have watched her cavity grow, her gums get worse, and her teeth grind more. I had finally accepted she would likely need them pulled and to get dentures at 18. After looking for a few places to no avail for a younger child, the Smile Clinic called me - they took in my oldest too when I asked. No long wait. No negativity on her cavity or gums. Just optimism and hope. She will now get to have a healthy mouth and get to keep her teeth. Teeth aren’t just cosmetic, they affect our overall body and heart especially. I’m so thankful that a place was willing to take in both of my kids, especially my oldest. In less than a two week wait for the initial appointment. Thank you all so much, truly this means the world to me. This was like finding a needle in a haystack, I truly hope you all know what you do matters and it means a lot to the families.

My special needs son had what we thought was a dental emergency on a Friday morning and they got him in right away. Turned out to not be an emergency and also managed to get a cleaning done which no one has ever been able to do!! We love Camp Smile! My kids had appointments at the Chaska location and, Wow! What a great experience! The warm welcome by the staff at the front desk, and the kindness of the hygienists set everyone at ease. We really felt like they each cared that we were there and cared about the kids. They made each one of my kids feel like they were the most important person from the moment they sat in the chair until the moment we left. The Dentist (Dr. Granoski) was incredibly kind and patient, and I never felt like we were an inconvenience or that she needed to rush to her next patient. I'm so thankful we chose Camp Smile!

I wish I could give 100 stars! My family and I are so grateful for Camp Smile's dentists and staff. My son's hygienist, Stacia, was AMAZING! She was compassionate, thoughtful, gentle and patient. Dr. Brittany was knowledgeable about my son's special needs and made him feel comfortable. My son was not able to tolerate the bitewing X-rays this time, but even adults (like me) find it uncomfortable, so no surprise. I will look for videos & social stories about bitewing X-rays and hopefully prepare my son for the next visit. We had such an amazing experience here! I showed up with all 3 kids, and only had one appointment scheduled for that day, and then two for the next day. Laura was so kind and offered to just get them all in at that time to help make sure I didn’t have to make an extra trip the next day. Boy, it may have been a long visit since it was their first one at that location, and they made sure to cover all bases, communicate efficiently, and show patience with my 3 crazy energetic kids! Walking out he said “Mommy that dentist is my favorite!”. I kid you not. They spoke to him clearly, and told him what was going to happen and what that would feel like, showed him the tools before they came into contact with him and were very gentle. Needed an emergency appointment for my 9 month old. They accommodated us very last minute. They were very easy to talk to. It wasn’t clear if my daughter (9 months old) has an infection so we talked through many possibilities and have a plan for antibiotics and to monitor. I felt very listened to and they didn’t push and they did their best to gather as much data as they could.

Dr. Colin Maguire is Amazing. I still appreciated him back then when my daughter has tooth infection. This was our first visit....4 stars may be generous considering we didn't receive any dental care this visit. I give 4 because the staff was very friendly. My autistic daughter loved the playful environment, which caters to kids very well. They offered the services we need and the dentist went though all the options throughly and was very kind. My daughter responded to him well. They lose a star because our appointment was for 2:50pm but the dentist didn't actually come to see my daughter until about 3:25. That's a long time to make a kid (especially a special needs kid) wait in a chair. Hopefully next time is better.

The staff is very kind and welcoming, and they were able to make his first introduction to the dentist super positive. When we went to the dentist today for the second time, our somewhat timid son (Covid baby) had no hesitation or fear. Update: We have since been back to the Chaska location for 3 different procedures and everyone we have seen has been so helpful and easy to work with. My daughter has extreme anxiety about the procedures and all of the staff was willing to take the time to listen to her, take her seriously, and implement what they could to help her get through! It is a bummer that the procedures can’t be done with anti-anxiety meds, but that is a licensing thing that no single staff member is responsible for. Knowing that we were not able to use it, the staff were extra cautious with my daughter and we were able to successfully do the procedure that needed to be done. Everyone has been so great to work with. They do an awesome job of helping my girls manage their anxiety while still staying on task and getting things done as quickly as they can! They talk to the kids in a way that doesn't increase their anxiety and have made adjustments to help my daughter with sensory processing disorder.

Dr. Amelia was amazing! She was great with our child and very good at explaining our options and treatment plan to us. All of the staff were great with children and make the process of going to the dentist way less stressful. We ended up utilizing anesthesia for our child as he needed a lot of work done. The process was smooth. Everyone was incredibly caring and kind. Communication before, during and after the procedure was great! We traveled quite a distance to utilize this facility and we were very glad we did. Extremely knowledgeable staff all around. For the first time in months our 4 year old has no dental pain. If I could give 100 stars I would. We had the most AMAZING experience today. I have 2 boys 5 and 7 years old, we have been going to Camp Smile since my older one was 2 years old. He has always been good going to the dentist, never a problem. My second one however has screamed every time we have brought him, which has been every 6 months since he turned 1. I have had to hold him down so they could at least paint the fluoride on his teeth. To say I didn't have high hopes today was an understatement. I had to find him in the house before we left and he was huddled in the bathroom behind the toilet bawling that he didn't want to go. No amount of bribery was going to help. I had to drag him out of the car and he instantly started crying when we got into the office. Then the most amazing woman walked into our lives. Kritsana. I don't know what magical powers she has, but she is absolutely wonderful. She quickly got to my son's level and made everything about him. She went far beyond expectations, knowing just when to encourage and back off. She had him giggling and telling her she could do more to his teeth. She was able to floss for him, clean and polish his teeth, this has NEVER happened before. He left saying he can't wait to go back, but only if she cleans his teeth. From anticipating tears and screaming to giggles and smiles we will be forever greatful for Kritsana who completely changed my son's view of going to the dentist. Thank you thank you thank you!

I highly recommend camp smile, especially for special needs kiddos! I have a 3 yr with SPD, Apraxia, suspicion of autism, a few other disorders related to a genetic disorder. He has been very medically traumatized and does NOT trust medical staff. Camp smile did not force anything. Did not hold him down for an exam and cleaning. As he has known cavities he is being sedated to reduce trauma. Also, the music was too loud my my little. He is non-verbal and yet the staff took the time to figure out what he was saying. They were also quite quick on understanding his gestures. They then turned down the music for him! They were absolutely amazing! They did convince him to let them “count” his teeth which is where they saw cavities. I was stressed out trying to find a pediatric dentist for my little man. Almost 2 dozen places called, many tears, and they accepted him!! Not only that, they listened to his medical history, actually listened and listened to my concerns on why I refuse to hold my child down and force anything. They totally listened, agreed and sympathized. They are all about what is best for the child mentally and physically. Absolutely amazing staff who truly seem to love their job and littles! Definitely worth the 2 hour one way drive!

We had a fantastic experience at Camp Smile! I took my son for his first dentist visit, specifically picking a pediatric dentist so he would be comfortable and have a good introduction to dentist visits. I was not disappointed - it was a success! Both the dental hygienist and Dr. Maguire engaged with him, letting him wear gloves and getting him acquainted with how they check his teeth and apply fluoride. It was a quick visit, they were receptive to whether or not he felt comfortable and was cooperative (and had he not been they said they would stop so they don't traumatize him). I was able to rest assured that his teeth are in good shape, and we were in and out in 20 minutes. My son also LOVED the stickers and his bouncy ball prize. We're already looking forward to our next check up!

I’ve been putting off (aka dreading) taking my daughter for her first dentist visit because she was very nervous and doesn’t do well when she’s afraid. However, the staff and atmosphere here was incredible - not only did we get through the appointment, but she actually enjoyed it!! But Camp Smile made it the complete opposite. From the first encounter at the front desk to coming back because we dropped my youngest's lovey, everyone was just a pleasure to work with! My 3 year old went first and did such a good job.The hygienist was so friendly and gave the girls a tour of all the equipment and let touch different things. The dentist was also so calm and kind. They are absolutely amazing. My son is terrified of adults he doesn’t know. He’s had terrible experiences with doctors in the past, due to medical issues. They didn’t push anything on him except for a super quick brushing while I heals him just so they could inspect his teeth. Before doing it though, they even warned me he might cry and wanted to make sure I was still okay with proceeding. Honestly, I was so surprised that was the only time he cried. Usually once he sees a doctor chair or anything close to, he instantly starts crying and trying to leave. We will be going here for him until he’s too old!

I brought my 15 month old to have his mouth checked after a bad fall. Everyone we worked with at Camp Smile was fantastic! They worked so well with him and knew how to help him feel safe and not scared, in fact he was having a blast 99% of the visit and didn’t really realize he was having a check-up. He didn’t want to leave when we were done and kept trying to run back in to see his two new “friends”. I would recommend them to anyone for children’s dental work, especially babies/young toddlers like my son because they really know what they are doing. I also appreciated how well they explained things to me. Sometimes at a medical visit you feel like the doctor is too busy to really explain what is going on and they just treat and move on, but the dentist we saw at Camp Smile really put a priority on good communication. Camp Smile has such a warm and welcoming environment and team. My girls had another great experience today at their 6-month check-up/cleaning. The staff all know kids so well and how to talk to them. My kids were excited to be there and the environment is successfully designed to be whimsical and fun. When they received positive feedback about their hygiene habits, they were so proud and motivated to keep it up. I highly recommend this place if you have young kids. I think establishing a positive perception of dental healthcare while kids are young can be a lifelong advantage. We can try to intercept that phobia many of older adults have developed about visiting the dentist.

My son who is 2 fell at daycare hitting his mouth. The Chaska location was able to get him in the next day for an exam. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly from the front desk staff, the dental hygienist and Dr Allison. Dr Allison so so patient and sweet with my son, singing as she examined his teeth. She was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all of my questions. We will keep going to see Dr Allison from now on!

We have had two good experiences at our family dental clinic for cleanings. Unfortunately, at the last cleaning visit, a cavity was noted. We were referred to another pediatric dental clinic and had an awful experience. Coming to Camp Smile was a welcome change. One got up after her appt yesterday and said she loves the hygienist she had. The other is always excited to go, even for fillings. Camp Smile is exactly everything any parent hopes to find in a dentist for their child. The environment is amazingly kid-friendly which allowed my son to relax and play before his appointments. Every person we interacted with, front desk staff, assistants, anesthesiology, Dr. Bell, and Dr. Raether, was competent, thorough and empathetic. My son needed a tooth extraction but has some sensory issues, and all the staff treated both my son and I with utmost respect regarding his care. They were willing to listen to me and make adjustments for working with my son so that his time there would go as smoothly as possible. After our experience at Camp Smile, my son, who would never before let anyone get close to working on his mouth, left saying "They're so nice there, Mom. I would go back lots of times!" This is an awesome place! I brought my 2 girls in for their first dental visit ever (6 & 2...yes I know, I waited way too long for the 6 year old, but I digress). Both of my girls were very nervous and did not want to go. Morgan and Danielle were amazing with the girls. Morgan was able to get a lot more accomplished with my 2 year old than I thought she would allow and Danielle managed to do a cleaning and xrays on my anxious 6 year old and I am thoroughly impressed with them both. Their patience with all 3 of us was wonderful and very appreciated. Dr. Bell is great! She connected with both girls so well and was awesome at talking them both through what she was doing while distracting them when needed. Her discussion with me was encouraging which was helpful, because to be honest, I was nervous too.

Three days later he's still talking about how much fun the dentist was and how silly all of their tools were. I was so happy with the care they received - they hygienists were gentle and kind, especially with the two littlest ones who were more uncertain. It was my 2 year-old’s first dentist visit and they introduced her to everything perfectly so she was comfortable enough to allow a full exam. I was also so grateful for the full report Dr. McGuire gave me after examining the mouths of each child - he was thorough and explained everything to me with just the right amount of detail.
