I first met this amazing young lady; Penny at Browns in Chinook Mall when I bought my Blundstones. I wasn’t familiar with the sizing and ended up with the wrong pair. Living in Cranbrook, that mistake meant another long trip back to Calgary. By the time I came back, she was at Market Mall and honestly, I asked to do my exchange there. She has this rare way of making you feel completely comfortable, like you’re more than just another customer. She’s patient, kind, and genuinely caring & that kind of person you don’t forget. That’s not sales, that’s a real art. Now this is my go-to because of her. She’s kind, genuine, and absolutely the best. Management should know they’ve got a star on their team and I repeatedly mentioned to Kathrine another loving lady manager at the store. Hasi

5 Stars here for Brown's on Shaganappi. To be more precise, Shayan. Where do I start? I needed some boots but needed them to fit properly and I wanted a specific style. Shayan's attention to detail and intuitiveness nailed it for me. Upon leaving, I also spoke accolades about him to his manager. She agreed and was clear that she'd love to clone him. I went into the Browns in Market Mall looking for very specific kind of shoe, Alicia Natalia came over and waited on me hand and foot (pun intended). She was just a delight and listened to what I was looking for and brought over a few sneakers, I tried on many sneakers and ended up with their House Brand! Really impressed
We started our shoe shopping a few doors down at a store that didn't have the foot measuring device and said they hadn't had since covid... that's ok, when did your size have anything do with finding the right shoe?! At Brown's they not only had the measuring tool key to the shoe industry, but Tracy quickly diagnosed a high instep as the frustrating fit issue and helped find shoes that would be comfortable. Good old-fashioned friendly, knowledgeable service. Shaylan is the Doc Marten expert and got us the shoes the kid wanted, in a size that fit right and was quick to pick on their pronouns which was a real gift. Thank you for that. Terrific service from people who knew their shoes.
Excellent Staff ⭐ All of the staff were really helpful, especially Eric S. who must have (patiently and sweetly) brought me 14 different pairs of shoes to try. He was kind, courteous, and genuinely wants to help his guests/customers find the right fit and style. No pressure, and genuine service. Will come back to this store for more people like Eric (and the girl with the pretty jade circle pendant whose name I didn't get) - absolute gems of approachable, knowledgeable and genuine in today's fast paced service environments. 👠💎

I always love when I come to a store and meet an employee that just genuinely cares about the customer and the experience they take away. The rep that helped me - Helena - was a young woman that was so sweet and really advised me on the best options for me ! Our sales person was Gabriel. He is now referred to as the footwear whisperer Although we didn’t get the boots we went in for, I was wearing a pair of Browns boots in need of care. Gabriel found the perfect products to save them and demonstrated how to use them. Seek him out! He knows his stuff. Best shoe salesman ever!!!! 10/10.

Tonight I met Fazal when I visited Market Mall. He was fantastic to deal with - no pressure but very informative of manufacturers and gave me honest advice about fit and style. He even recommended another height of boot because it fit better with my proportions. He was “real” - seeking to understand what I was searching for and gave me some other considerations to leave with.
Whatever training or strategic hiring Browns does for their team members works. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer, and feel comfortable going to either Market Mall or Cross Iron, knowing employees like Fazal will be there! Well done, Browns!
I went January 16th to compare sizes in a pair of boots my husband bought me for Christmas and just ask a couple questions about the fit of my boots, breaking them in, etc. I was helped by Tracy. She was fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure I got the best fitting boots, getting a different size, insoles, and even showed me a trick to help stretch out the part that was bugging me. She was knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and made sure I left feeling happy and confident with my boots. There were two other very helpful ladies that came over to offer their experiences with these boots, and were also very knowledgeable. There is something to be said about staff that offer you excellent service, even though you have already made your purchase. I would come back based on this service alone. Thank you Tracy and team!
Great experience tonight at Browns in Market Mall. The service was phenomenal. A few staff worked together (like a team) to set us up with the perfect pair of shoes for an interview. Chosen to match well with the shirt and tie. Very friendly and attentive. A shout out to staff Jessica B for being so patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Experience was great and I'll be back for sure. 5 star experience!!!!!!
