Heart of Ville de Marie/Montreal
Near the centre of old First Nations’ Hochelaga inside McGill campus’ Roddick Gates (845 Sherbrooke St Ouest) is Rue University/Robert Bourassa Boulevard and the East entrance of Eatons, across from the Linen Chest and Cafe Olimpico. The historic mall stretches underground from there (Laura’s by Sephora), all the way to Simons Shopping Department Store, next to Zara’s. That makes for 3 full city blocks of indoor shopping malls, connected below Decathlon Outdoor Centre. Even though the old Bay’s department store building now sits vacant, next to Eaton’s, it’s still a formidable commercial complex and movie Cineplex theatre along St. Catherine West. Facing two storeys of Nike’s or B2 shoes is Poulet Rouge, a local franchise that’s healthier than Chipotle (mix & match chicken flavours or spice with your choice of 7 salad add-ons over quinoa or rice. It’s open even after the basement food court closes around 6:30. Even though Toronto’s Yorkdale is the oldest indoor mall in North America and West Edmonton is the largest in the world, Eaton’s Centre is a landmark in Montreal. Its proximity to McGill university, Mont Royal’s illuminated cross overlooking the Hochelaga/campus (stairs behind Royal Victoria Hospital), and other national sites like Notre Dame Cathedral at old Vieux Port (South of McGill Metro station) make for one familiar and unique, busking kind of city. Dine in the top-floor Market, and in winter, visit Simons first for fleeced sheer-effect winter tights to get ready to dance the night away or watch holiday fireworks!

very nice
Even without having to buy something, the walk inside this mall is to be ensured. The extremely clean rooms and the light, make this center, one of the places not to be missed, especially in winter (although my visit was in summer).

Good shopping mall on Rue Sainte-Catherine West
This is a large shopping mall along St Catherine Street West in the City Centre. It originally opened in 1990 and was anchored by the now-defunct Eaton's department store. However, it remained connected to its origins afterward the 1999 bankruptcy The mall acquired the adjacent Complexe Les Ailes shopping centre in 2018 which added significant floor space which now also flys under the the Eaton Central brand. There are five floors of brand name retail shopping at Eaton Central, a new food court and a Time Out Market Montreal as well. It is a nice shopping venue, perfected fitted onto St. Catherine Street in a popular shopping area of Montreal. Worth a visit on rainy or bad weather days when you are seeking indoor places to spend time in the city.

LOVED IT!
Really enjoyed visiting this shopping mall. It offers a wide variety of shops—both local and international—and I was surprised by how large the Best Buy footprint is globally. The Eaton Centre also serves as a great entry point to the underground city, which is definitely worth exploring. The mall is impressively accessible, clean, and spacious, with an eclectic mix of people and languages—young and old. I visited on a Saturday, both midday and early evening, and was surprised to find the food court closed both times. Signage and automated announcements are in both French and English, and most employees I interacted with were bilingual as well. The only real downside was that the Metro (subway) station connected to the mall is not accessible, which was disappointing.

Good Location to Escape Bad Weather with Something for Everyone
Has something for everyone. Perfect place to go shopping and to get out of bad weather. Perfect place to entertain the kids if they're tired of visiting the attractions.

Shopping Destination in Montreal
The Montreal Eaton Centre is a fantastic shopping destination right in downtown Montreal! You can easily access it through the Underground City, which connects to the Montreal Metro’s McGill station. This lively mall is the gateway to the famous underground city and features a wide variety of stores spread across five levels. Plus, you’ll find plenty of dining and entertainment options to enjoy during your visit! I had such a great time at this modern mall! It’s spacious, clean, and offers a wonderful mix of shops to explore. Shopping through the multi-level stores was a lot of fun!

Popular Shopping Centre
If you enjoy shopping, Centre Eaton De Montreal is the answer. It's a popular and spacious place with lots of shops. There's even the connecting underground city. Also a food court area with food options ranging from Lebanese to Thai. Was happy to find an Yves Rocher and Lush inside the centre.

Very big shopping mall with multiple floors and sections, not the best laid out for first time visitors. A good place to start a journey through The Underground City. Try Soufflé the Japanese cheesecake place in the food court

Large mall
This is a large mall at the centre of Montreal with multiple access points both above ground and through the underground city. The stores are very similar to those you will find in any large North American mall. If you are in the central Montreal it is worth exploring to see the unusual layout. Lots of food retailers on the lower level which get very busy at lunchtime.

A good mall that has everything you need to get as needed.
I like the Montreal Eaton Centre far more than the one in Toronto. Although the stores in here are pretty much just like what you can find in Toronto (or anywhere else for that matter), I find that Montreal’s feels much less chaotic, paving the way for more of a “mall-like” feel, rather than a “zoo”. The mall is clean and spacious, and there are plenty of food and shopping options. It has everything you need. The big highlight of this place is the Time Out Market on the upper level - make sure not to miss it. It features high quality cuisine from all over the world. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my visit here and will be back here again when back in the Montreal area. But I also wouldn’t go out of my way to come here compared to a place like the Mall of America in Minnesota.

We did quite a bit of shopping here as it is a big and busy indoor vertical mall connected to the Underground City. There is also some good food here a the food court.

Major shopping mall in downtown Montréal
Centre Eaton de Montréal is a major shopping mall in the downtown area of the city. It opened in 1990 and then expanded by combining with Complexe Les Ailes in 2018 creating a very large complex. There are various access points into the mall but the main entrances are on rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest but it is completely accessible by RESO Underground City which connects into The métro system. It is a nice shopping mall with a good range of stores and eateries.

Good shopping experience
To be honest, this version of the Eaton Center did not rate as other in the "chain". It is big, clean but - like too much of Montreal - dominated by boutique or designer outlets.

This is a big vertical shopping center with a large variety of shops plus a food court. Nice to see retail alive and well, lots of shoppers on a Sunday. Right in the middle of the downtown shopping area.

Close to Hotels and Attractions
The Eaton Centre is situated along Ste Catherine Street in Downtown Montreal and is easily accessed by foot or subway. It contains the standard shopping mall stores as well as a food court. Good place to pick up any items forgotten when packing for your trip.

Entrance to the Metro!
This place looks and feels like a typical American shopping center. You can even find bestbuy here. But you will also find the entrance to Metro -- best comparison: the Manhattan mall on 33rd street as a PATH entrance. It's convenient.

Large shopping mall accessible underground
A good shopping spot with a large area accessible underground. Free wifi in the eating area and lots of food options. The shops are pretty standard but if you are looking to get out of the cold for an afternoon I would recommend. Note that it doesn’t open until 11am on Sunday

Huge underground complex
Huge underground complex with a selection of goods and services from your every day needs to luxurious items. Connects to many of the other undergound shops in Montreal. Ideal location for winter if you want to stay out of the cold and snow. Also, connects directly to the metro, so it's incredibly convenient! Easy to get lost, though, it's like a labyrinth and the directions aren't always very clear.

Part of Tour Down Town Tour
The centre is part of the underground city that you should do. Though not much of brands that you could find there but you can visit the Grevin Wax Museum which is located in the 5th floor. You may explore the centre and have a meal if you happen to be there during noon. Resturants closes very early. For those wanting Halal food, you would find various options from different restaurants.

A must-go !

Visit for lunch
Lots of stores in here. It was very cold out and i was mapping out where go while my wife was in conference. Kids did not want to go outside. From our hotel we could access the subway/metro and transfer from yellow line to green line to Mcgill station and walk right into the mall no going outside.

Eaton centre has been one of the busiest malls I know. It has more than 3 floors which includes a theatre on one of the floor (if that still exists???). The food court is big and is great for business lunches.
