Amen clinic saved my life. They were my last resort and thank God they were able to help me be on track in life. I was suffering from ptsd, depression and anxiety and I decided to have a consultation with one of their doctors which was dr Holland. He understood what was needed for me to get better. The Amen Clinic saved my life. I have a severe TBI from a car accident. I was becoming so aggitated that I had impulses of wanting to end my life. That is when my mom found the Amen Clinic. She also noticed I had Irlen Syndrome where the words on the page were shifting around while trying to read. I got the Spect Scan from the location in Tukwila/Bellevue. I now work with Dr. Chapek to follow up on other treatments involving HyberBaric chamber sessions, brain supplements and prescriptions that have helped to balance my brain. I feel so cared about by the entire staff. I am able to now do telehealth appointments. It is a wonderful place with people dedicated to helping us have a better quality of live while living with brain injuries. I'd give them 10 Stars, if I could!

My experience at Amen Clinic has been extremely positive so far. From my first inquiry call, I felt I knew exactly what the process would look like and even though I typically fear going to Doctor’s appointments I was fairly comfortable as I felt prepared. The office staff and atmosphere were warm and welcoming. The history appointment and the time with Dr. Chapek was comfortable as they were both so kind, empathetic, and patient. I felt like a person the entire time which doesn’t often happen during medical appointments. I never felt rushed or that the staff was rushing. I also appreciated that they tried to get as much out of the way the first day as possible since I was from out of town. After receiving my report, I feel very optimistic and am trusting in the plan they’ve laid out for me. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt I have the support I need to get back to being myself again.

Dr. Rishi Sood has helped with two of our children whom have ADD of differing degrees. One with mild ADD, but mod-severe executive disorder and other issues, and the second with mod-severe ADD. It is very difficult to first pin-point the issues even with NeurPsych testing, and then to find a medication to help and manage the side effects. Fortunately, Dr. Sood is very patient, skilled, and on top of his game. He educates the parent while trying to understand best how to manage the child. I have been struggling with trying to find the right help for our children for years and fortunately, we found Dr. Sood to help navigate through the various challenges. Definitely an amazing and caring physician.

Not only do I feel I have gotten exceptional medical advice and treatment post stroke and for a sleep disorder, but they are exceptionally thorough and responsive. After my brain scans, Dr Callen took nearly two hours to thoroughly explain what was going on in every inch my brain in clear terms. The treatment plan was thorough, holistic and clear. I get prompt, proactive follow ups. When I request refills or ask questions, I get responses the same day. At least for me, I have never received treatment at a medical facility like I do at Amen Clinics, for perhaps the most important thing I can treat: my brain.

Highly recommend Dr. Chapek and his team. I had fallen a few times and with my diabetes, I got to wonder if this had something to do with my brain. I liked what I heard about Amen Clinic so I reached out to them for help. After my brain scan I met with Dr. Chapek and we are working my treatment plan. The whole process went exceptionally well. I like how easy it was to work with their scan technician from start to finish. My meeting with Dr. Chapek went very well and I learned a lot about me, my diabetes and my brain. As a child I was diagnosed with ADHD and much like most millennials, I went down the rabbit hole of using and abusing Adderall to try and sustain a functional life that I could find success in work, school, etc. After my crash and burn with stimulants I decided to try and push through on my own which lead me to years of living with anxiety, brain fog, depleted energy levels and all around confusion around why I was unable to think and operate optimally. In August of 2022 I listen to a Podcast episode that featured Doctor Amen who in depth broke down the differences in ADHD, ADD and all other forms of chemical imbalances that a lot of us endure throughout our lives and through his explanations and practices of treating these imbalances I’ve been battling for the entirety of my life I decided to do something about it and schedule a consultation. The process was seamless and the entire team at Amen Clinics was not only supportive, but they truly took the time to connect with me and help walk me through the reasons why I was struggling, what I needed to do to alleviate my pain and provided multiple comprehensive steps and plans to get me back to a mentally healthy state. This process consisted of, 2 brain scans and multiple follow ups with my very own Physician on the Amen Clinic team who works with you and provides all the resources needed to get you back to where you want to be. In my experience, Dr. Alexander was my physician and she was exceptional. During our first call she broke down my scans, explained throughly what the scans show, where and why I am having struggles as they relate to my cognitive functions and how we go about turning things around. When I say the support was amazing, I truly mean it, I feel supported and cared for and after months of proper supplementation and a program pieced together individual to me and what my brain needs to continue to heal and regrow, I feel superiorly better to this day. Dr. Alexander continues to check in on me, monitors my progress and at the end of the day, it’s a team effort vs me fighting to stay hopeful on my own with no understanding of how to get better. I have so much appreciation and admiration for the work that Dr. Alexander and the Amen Clinics team have done for me and if you are someone who is plagued with any form of Attention Deficit Disorder or a chemical imbalances, I highly recommend you call and chose to help yourself instead of continuing to suffering in silence.

Update after my husband underwent Amen Clinic Dr Chapek’s concussion rescue treatment plan Dec 2022-Jan 2023: Writing with profound gratitude — again — for Amen Clinic. My husband’s still-vulnerable brain suffered a concussion on Dec 26, 2022. Hubs reported it felt like he’d lost three years of healing progress…. He had backslidden to early 2020 when he couldn’t do anything but vegetate on the couch and watch videos as a result of his 2019 severe toxic injury. Even something as simple as speaking a sentence became onerous again. He stopped driving for two weeks due to deficient reflexes. Because of Dr Chapek’s concussion rescue plan, we had the tools to support hub so he suffered only minimally. Used beta-SMR neurofeedback daily for three weeks, lots of rest & 8-9 hours sleep/night, keto-esque diet, and a lower-than-usual-intensity exercise/weightlifting regimen. Hub fully recovered in a miraculous THREE weeks!! We’re amazed and so thankful! Within FOUR weeks post-concussion, hub was able to start working on firmware coding. And about only SIX weeks post-concussion, hub was able to complete over 4,000 lines of code — about 1,000 lines per day. We’re convinced there’s no way hub could’ve been the “Comeback Kid” so quickly without Amen Clinics’ treatment plans for hub’s toxic injury AND for subsequent concussion. Also, it was reassuring for me — as his wife — that I was doing all I could to support his healing from his newest brain injury. Not all reviews are created equal, and this is likely the most personal and meaningful one that I will ever compose. In 2016, I incurred a severe TBI while doing a photography shoot on an abandoned building in Berlin. The rooftop I was shooting on collapsed, and I fell through three stories, breaking many bones and causing my brain to bleed in four places. After a month recovering in the hospital in Berlin, I returned to the US and got my first SPECT scan in Atlanta. They told me that my brain was healing, but it would take years for me to make a full recovery. I got the okay to return to my home in Berlin but suffered a horrible year of uncharacteristic depression and difficulties in regulating my emotions. I have had ADD for my entire life, but the TBI exacerbated my condition, severely impacting my ability to accomplish my goals. I continued doing my best to live this life to the fullest with whatever limitations I had, and in 2018 I moved to Seattle with my partner in order to learn how to sail and find a bluewater boat aboard which we could live a self-sufficient life cruising the world’s seas. Still struggling with the continuing cognitive impacts my TBI had created for me and needing to be at my best in order to live the independent and self-sufficient life I was pursuing, I needed to find a doctor who would not just prescribe me medication but provide me with a functional, whole-body-and-mind, integrative treatment. Enter Ruchi and Dr. Chapek. Seeking the best doctor in the country to address my needs, I called the Amen Clinic’s headquarters in Costa Mesa. After explaining my situation, they didn’t skip a beat and told me that the best doctor they had in all of their many clinics nationwide was Dr. Kabran Chapek and his impeccable Clinic Director, Ruchi Madan. I am posting this review to let everyone know that they couldn’t have done me better by directing me to the Seattle clinic. Ruchi is not only an organizational mastermind, but she has been kind, supportive, and enthusiastically helpful at every turn. After completing another SPECT scan, Dr. Chapek went through my results with me with a care and attention I have never experienced from another physician and rather than prescribing me medications that I would not be able to get abroad, he prescribed a brain-healthy diet and regimen of daily practices that I could maintain wherever the winds take me. I am elated to report that his treatment has had a bigger impact on me than I could have ever imagined. Years of following his recommendations have taken me from a diminished state of mind that had me worried whether I would ever get back to “normal” to feeling more sharp, focused and able to pursue and accomplish all of my goals to live this life to the fullest. Not only do I feel better now than I can ever remember, even before my TBI, but I now have a boat in the Caribbean and am soon to sail across the Pacific Ocean with my Foreverperson. My experience with the Amen Center and Dr Holland has been absolutely life-changing. To have knowledge about what’s actually going on in my brain has been extremely powerful and making changes to help me feel better and be better. It’s not an inexpensive but definitely worth it. If you’re at a crossroads in your mental health do whatever you can to get there. But more important you must follow the suggestions that they make. I went in for a brain scan today not knowing what I was in for, as I received this as a gift . I was pleasantly surprised but the office, Super clean well organized office ! It was a bit busy, but expected for being the first Monday after a holiday , Kevin was the tech doing my scan . The Amen Clinic in Bellevue changed my 29 year old son’s life. We almost lost him two years ago. His anxiety and OCD were off the charts and his weight was life-threateningly low. The second thing was B vitamin shots – these give him energy. The third thing was going to the Amen Clinic in Bellevue Washington in the spring of 2020. The fiery red brain scan results confirmed my son’s feelings that he truly was suffering (and it wasn’t just in his head, so to speak.). The scan showed that the heavy medicine was not damaging his brain (which was a tremendous comfort for me), but Dr Seyffert suggested that David change WHEN he was taking his medicines and this simple change has made a huge difference. The next thing the doctor had my son do was to keep a sleep diary. I was surprised that sleep was the doctor’s top priority, but he was right. He taught my son about good sleep practices and the sleep diary gave him a feeling of more control over his life. He is sleeping better and is now able to work and take classes. These guys are amazing. I came down to thier clinic because Canadian Healthcare is so far behind. I might be biased as a Canadian but they were so accommodating with scheduling and making sure I could make my flight back to Canada. From the receptionist, Amy, to my doctor, Dr. Chapek, they have been attentive and focused on what I needed as human being with my own life. They focused more on the symptoms I wanted to reduce rather than trying to get me on a "Scripted plan" that many other doctors push these days. For example, I have low limbic activity, so my emotions are a but of a roller coaster, which is what I wanted to focus on, so that's what they focused on rather than other aspects of my brain that mainstream society rejects, but I rely on (my ability to hyperfocus). This made me feel excited about the plan and ready to hit the ground running!

It's been 6 months since I brought my daughter to the Amen clinic. She was doing well in school but failing tests pretty spectacularly . She thought she had ADD. After a completely comprehensive blood test, they predicted that she had another physical ailment that her GP completely missed because her blood work was in the 'normal' range but not 'optimal'-- the standard the Amen clinic uses. Without this standard of interpretation we would not have discovered that she had PSOS. They also found her to be deficient in iron and vitamin D and just addressing those issues gave her relief. Her scan revealed she had PTSD, not ADD. A bright light of activity deep in her thalamus that should not be. Not surprising what she'd been through but a total relief to actual SEE what she was struggling with. A 'normal' 45 minute psychiatric evaluation would never have discovered the nuances of her total health. Having had a friend go completely manic from psychiatric drugs when it turned out he had thyroid problems (which mimic symptoms of depression), I'm so grateful someone out there is dealing holistically with their patients. I've read anti-Amen stuff and I don't get it at all. If my daughter had described her symptoms to a normal Psychiatrist without the scan and blood work, she most likely would have been diagnosed and medicated for ADD. But now, thanks to the Amen clinic, the proper nutritional support and correct medication, her anxiety and reactivity is wayyyyyy down. And she understands that the brain is an organ in the body that can be healed. Which is huge as the emotional highs and lows in life can seem overwhelming, especially at 15. The office is in real need of a renovation so it looks a little meh in there but I hear that's on the way.

I must say the environment reflects their emphasis on good health with raw almonds, filtered water, and tea in the reception area. Dr. Chapek saw my adult son, a talented ceramic artist, who has battled with chronic depression since his late teens after his father passed away when he was only eleven years old. Despite finishing college and advanced courses plus launching a promising art career, he was plagued with low energy, brain fog, and hopelessness despite thousands of dollars spent on various conventional medical treatments as well as other complementary health programs and supplements. Very friendly and helpful administrative staff :) Diane Haehl was the first person I had an appointment with. She made me feel very welcome and comfortable. And the SPECT scans were fascinating and my appt with Dr. Seyffert made me feel like I have a solid understanding of what is causing my symptoms, and left with a plan of attack to treat them. I am on a lot of medication and was wondering if the possible effects they were having, would be addressed and considered when discussing symptoms and treatment plan, and was so glad to see that they were very much a part of the discussion. I left with a plan that incorporates coordination with my other doctors and therapist. They really look at the whole picture and treat the whole you; not just one part, like my many other docs. I was also glad that, whereas they do sell supplements, they don’t push them, in fact, my initial treatment plan didn’t recommend any of their products:)

I didn't have a problem with the staff or anybody the doctors really sincerely want to help you. The problem I have is SPECT imaging didn't help or improve my condition though it was interesting to have a lifelong battle of depression and anxiety confirmed by the scans. However, good luck having ANY psychiatrist other than AMEN taking your scans seriously. Also the AMEN clinic supplements offered did not do anything to help my condition and I was very skeptical of that though at the time I was willing to try anything! They care and they want to help you, but for some very severe anxiety/depression cases that are complicated like mine it may be best to get a 2nd opinion too! I'd love to see how the new medicines in my case Ketamine have changed my brain from the original scans I had done in 2015 and just wish I had more presence of mind at the time to really understand the help they were trying to give me. Bottom line don't place your eggs in one basket, use these scans as a tool and if you're mentally interesting realize that its going to take time to find the right thing for you!

I invested in a 3D Brain SPECT scan to view my brain's health to benchmark it's health and better optimize it. To me, the scan is a visual communications tool which validated, to myself and to my husband, the scars from my TBI from over a decade ago. It informed me what I needed to improve upon. It also became a teaching tool to encourage my kids, family and friends to reconsider their own brain health. I believe that you cannot measure progress if you don't have a tool to benchmark where you are at. And you can't fix what you can't see. The staff is terrific and caring.
