I've been dealing with long Covid brain issues for 2 1/2 years. I've experienced seizures, body zaps, fatigue and other debilitating symptoms. My wife and I have tried so many different treatments which haven't been able to truly diagnose what is actually wrong with me, and have offered no relief. We searched and found the Amen Clinic! The whole process. The people who work there, from the technicians to the doctors and everyone in between are wonderfully understanding and kind. Even though the news wasn't great about my brain, it wasn't horrible either. And I was given tools in the form of brain games to improve memory.

My journey with Amen’s Clinic has been nothing short of life-changing. For years, I struggled with mental health issues that I managed to mask, but I knew I needed an accurate diagnosis to finally move forward. As someone who advocates for my own mental well-being and does extensive research, I discovered Amen’s Clinic, pioneered by Dr. Daniel Amen. I knew immediately this would be a pivotal step in my recovery. The evaluation process took about 6-8 weeks and was incredibly thorough. It included a variety of tests, with two in-house scans and exams that gave a detailed understanding of my brain function. The level of assessment is unmatched—it’s precise, comprehensive, and gave me the clarity I had been searching for. Since my assessment last year, my life has improved dramatically. You’ll be assigned a care team of professionals throughout your assessment and intake, and when the final results of your scans are reviewed (you’ll have extensive reports/documents/pictures and video of your results + brain scans), the team follows up for the first few months to make sure you’re treatment and well being are monitored and supported. The treatment plan they created for me has given me a better quality of life overall. If you’re considering Amen’s Clinic, I can’t recommend it enough. Thanks to his referral to an orofacial myofunctional therapist and subsequently a dentist, a long-standing health issue was discovered. My jaw joint problems were causing severe airway restrictions, contributing to my sleep apnea, anxiety, panic, and depression. Then I was assigned to meet with patient coordinator Briel Pikal who was extremely helpful, compassionate and supportive. After meeting with Briel I was assigned to meet with Dr. Mendenhall who was also very intelligent, helpful, compassionate and extremely supportive. This is the first experience with a psychiatrist that I feel actually listened to me and provided great steps to improve my overall brain health. While it can be expensive it was some of the best money I have ever spent. The information Amen Clinics has continued to provide through the process is priceless to me. I felt safe in my dealings with them and knew that I was being heard. I appreciate the depth and scope of their examination and testing in that they look at the whole person and one’s life experiences, not just the results of a few tests. They follow up, guide the process during treatment and make sure all questions are answered.. In other words, they make it easy and one feels cared about. Worth every penny! I’ve tried dozens of medications for many MANY different possible diagnoses over the years but only the Amen Clinic found a diagnosis and solution that actually works for me. Their multi-pronged approach is highly effective and their chance of success justifies the price point. There is so much overlap between diagnoses nowadays that often times one disorder can look like another when all the factors are not assessed or considered. No psychiatrist/neurologist, even at the same price point, can make an assessment with the same kind of confidence as the Amen Clinic can. Conventional psychiatry is simply shooting in the dark and neurologists use fMRIs that are too sensitive to find higher level patterns with your brain. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who has had a complex medical or psychiatric history. You’re in good hands.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. We are not the type to post negative reviews. But this is more a service to those looking to make an appointment. We booked an appointment for September 27th. Tried to cancel the appointment today August 31st ( the appointment was made on the 4th of August). Come to find out the deposit is NOT REFUNDABLE. BEWARE they only give you a 3 DAYs time from when you make your appointment to cancel. They have sufficient time to book another appointment, which I'm sure they will, and collect another $500 deposit from that person. Do the right thing and return the deposit. HAPPIER NOW! The Clinic Director called me next day, explaining how the staff should have spoken to her. I would like to thank them for stepping up to the plate and refunding our deposit. WOW. What an amazing experience. I seriously couldn't have expected more and my nurse Jonna made my experience the best I could've ever imagined. Seriously by far way above what I expected. She was so knowledgeable and happy to answer all of my questions while going through the tests. I haven't met with the doctor yet, but I can already say I'm so pleased with the experience. The Amen clinic saved my life. When I came in at 16, my parents were fed up with not being able to understand how my brain worked. I was compulsive, irresponsible, unmanageable, and school was a nightmare. In all honesty, I really didn’t want to go and didn’t care. The amen clinic made me feel welcome, understood, and cared about. I was never looked down on or made to feel bad about myself. They explained to my parents better ways for me to learn, how my brain processed my actions (or lack of) and gave me tools to be able to be successful. I got my diploma, have been able to keep jobs, my friendships have blossomed, I get along with my parents, and I have accountability for my actions. Without the amen clinic, I’m not sure where I would be. Even years later, when I’m confused about anything, I can go back and look at my paperwork and put the pieces together and understand myself. As an adult, I also have the paperwork to take to doctors so it’s easily explained so I can still receive the help I need. Thank you so much for giving me a second chance at life and helping me understand myself better. I have confidence I never knew existed.

So far so good. I just completed the initial first phase of the Amen Clinic three day introductory program. I will update and report back on my review as time goes on. This review is to cover the begining stages of my experience at this Amen Clinic. I have been dealing with brain and mental health issues for years. I was not getting the proper help I needed with Kaiser and my multiple doctors especially after a crisis that occurred a few years ago. I learned about the Amen Clinic's unique diognostic ways and decided that this was the next step to get the proper help that I needed and wasn't receiving. I'm so glad I found them. I am hopeful that this experience and their meathods will help me on a path to wellness and improved brain health. I have been suffering tremendously for a long time. I know it's not going to happen overnight. It took some time for my brain to become the way it is and it will take some time for it to heal. I first completed an online detailed history and questionnaire that took some time to complete from the comfort of my home. I then had a pre-consultation over the phone to briefly discuss my situation and what to expect with any questions and informative information with my assigned doctor, Dr. Suarez which was the doctor who was assigned to me. It went well and our first connection felt nice. He truely seemed like a nice doctor who wanted to help in anyway that he could. He was very pleasant to speak with over the phone and put myself and my mom at ease about the whole process . I then came into the clinic. The ladies at the front desk we're very nice, polite and helpful. We mostly interacted with Erica. She was great. I then had testing done and two SPECT scans with Greg. He was very professional and nice. I got a little cold a few times. He was very accommodating and offered me a blanket. It did help. It would be nice if they offered warm blankets though. I then had an in-depth history session to discuss my current and past conditions/symptoms with my appointed Client Manager named Simone. She was lovely and professional. I then had a very thorough in-depth post-scan and testing consultation with Dr. Suarez. It was a lot to process and understand but my mom and I walked away feeling very informed and pleased with the experience. It was a little exhausting given the amount of information to go over. It was a lot to take in. (Make sure you bring a snack and hydrate for all of your appointments when you can except before a scan.) Dr.Suarez had some more questions and some more testing for me. He then went over the final report with us and a treatment plan to address my specific needs. It was such a valuable experience. Especially the part where I got to see my brain compared to an average healthy brain. It really helped put things in perspective. Dr Suarez was very patient with us and went way over the time frame allotted for the appointment. He asked questions and got curious about my situation more than any other doctor that I've ever worked with. Things occurred to him and he saw things and suggested other diognostic meathods that could be helpful to my unique and challenging condition- things no other doctors have ever suggested. He had very good eye contact and "bedside manner". You can tell he has a passion for what he does and has a very impressive bio. There were some times that my mom and I were confused and not understanding the medical and brain terminology that he was using but he was eventually able to explain things as best he could so we could finally comprehend the information. I will be working with my current doctors at Kaiser along with Dr.Suarez's guidance and recommendations. I hope that my Kaiser doctors will be supportive. I will slowly begin to start to implement changes and follow Dr. Suarez's advice. I will continue to stay connected to the Amen Clinic as I begin on my new journey. I will also be using other services that they offer if I feel they are needed at this time. Thank you Erica, Greg, Simone and Dr. Suarez. And thank you too Dr. Amen.

My experience so far is the clinic has a very caring and professional front desk staff. The doctors are truly great professionals willing to help their patients by focussing on the solutions and motivating you in the process of your healing.

The clinic is well-run, and has a professional, friendly and helpful staff; I really liked them. Dr. Daniel Emina was outstanding! The clinic is equipped to address mental health, brain health, and brain-related damage, a service overlooked by most doctors and hospitals, as they don't have the equipment or training to do this. This is Amen Clinic's focus, and they do it well.

My daughter and I had visits at the Walnut Creek clinic, and found everyone to be caring, friendly, and welcoming. Very professional without being formal, and definitely letting us know that if we need anything or have questions re: our programs, we can call on them. We were particularly impressed with Dr. Emina and Simone. Both very personable, and definitely attentive to my daughter's needs and personality, especially. Both gave us very good feedback and information that is continuing to help us implement the program. I went to the Amen Clinic after I failed to improve from a concussion that I sustained ten weeks earlier. I have just finished my three days of SPECT imaging, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment plan. All of the people at the Walnut Creek Amen Clinic were extremely kind, helpful, and genuinely wanted to help me. From Gigi who helped me upon entering the clinic to Parker, Simone, and finally Dr. Emina, they all treated me like they only wanted the very best for me. This has been a life-changer! If I follow the clearly laid out treatment plan, I know I will not only have full recovery, but I will have an even healthier brain! Awesome experience!! Everyone in the whole office was nothing but nice and helpful. I was nervous to know how my brain looked after suffering multiple concussions but came away feeling absolutely great and empowered knowing that I am able to reverse the trauma and possibly be back better then before! My overall experience at the Clinic was beyond expectations. For some time, after the loss of a loved one, I was depressed. I walked in feeling hopeless and after the second day, I felt a shift in my mood. The kindness and professionalism of the staff created a safe environment. The Historian, Moinette, made a strong impact in my understanding of my own background and seeing many contributing factors to my illness. She was very compassionate and made a strong impression on me. Dr. Emina was amazing. He is knowledgeable and explained the challenges to my brain and medications in a clear manner. He was gentle in the high recommendation about how important my diet, supplements and exercise will be to my overall well being. I feel hopeful and grateful.

I finally have answers. I strongly recommend having a brain SPECT scan done at the Amen Clinic. Some close family members have/had Alzheimers and I became afraid because I also had some issues and nothing seemed to work. I needed answers. I decided to have a brain scan done at the Amen Clinic in Brisbane and the scan highlighted issues that exactly explained my symptoms and they know exactly what will work. I am relieved to know it is not Alzheimers and we now we have a plan to get my brain in the best shape ever. Everyone at the clinic was genuinely interested in me and my health and was kind, patient and understanding. Why keep treating the wrong problem, you should call them!
