I had a phone experience with Dr. Vernon’s - ASSISTANT, he walked me through some questions I had. I’m in a different city, and I’m needing to receive a scan from this location. This Gentleman was so sweet, and patient with me. He sent me an email, so I could fully understand differences in visits and pricing. He walked me through the website, and at the end of my call he answered every question I had, and some! He was very sweet, helpful and charming during our call. This was my second call with this location, and even my first call experience was amazing, very sweet employees here.

I cannot begin to explain how transformative my story was once I decided to go to Amen Clinic Dallas. For 10 years I had suffered from severe anxiety and no one seemed to want to dig to see what was causing it. Dr. Kansara took the time, did extensive testing and found holistic approaches to have me feeling better including hyperbaric chamber, supplement regimen and chelation therapy due to high mercury in a hair test etc. They went above and beyond and the only thing I regret is not having done this a decade ago.

Thank you Dr. Johnson and Anthony Clay for helping me discover and seek treatment for a life-threatening condition. I would never have known that I have enlarged cerebral ventricals without the Amen clinic superior staff. My father was diagnosed too late and died from the consequences of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) with which Billy Joel was recently diagnosed. My sister recently passed away with severe ventricular enlargement. Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus is not the rare condition we formerly assumed it to be. Now, a marvellous device has been developed and is in clinical trials although not available yet for use. The CeraVasc e shunt is a thrilling advancement in medical treatment for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, and gives me encouragement for the future.

Dr. Licciardi is amazing at what she does! Soon as we got my brain scans back, she was eager to find a solution during my times of struggle. Fast forward to three years later I am on the best of the best medication and not struggling with mental health as much as I use to be. Her suggestions are always top tier and she is the sweetest and caring doctor. Nurse Practioner Taylor is just as great as Dr. Licciardi! I was given information to switch to her so I can afford the zoom appointments that last an hour each visit. She is very informative and gives great feedback when I complete a task or suggestion. Overall, Amen Clinics is probably the best clinic out there for mental health! I went back in 2021 where I was dealing with crisis after crisis and nothing was helping me. After meeting the owners and receiving my brain scans results, I now have a peace of mind to what I am dealing with.

The person who gave a one star review is my x daughter in law. Her 11 year old son lives with us and we are his guardians. We take him to Amen Clinics in Irving and are truly happy with the caring attitude we get there. The person who posted the poor review does not know what is happening and reaches her own conclusions.
I can't say enough how pleased I am with the care I received at Amen Clinic Dallas! After struggling with cognitive symptoms for several years and trying many different approaches and medications, I was still suffering. Coming to Amen Clinic helped me find the right approach! From the initial greeting by the front office staff to the follow-up after my SPECT scan, everyone I have encountered has been very helpful. Dr. Sangra listened to my concerns, took ample time to explain my scan results and how those results related to my symptoms. Dr. Sangra offered treatment suggestions; however, was never pushy. With the addition of a supplement and a change in a medication I was currently taking to another medication that was better suited for my type of brain, I have noticed significant changes in my symptoms. Since my appointment, Dr. Sangra and his staff have always been responsive to my questions. I would highly recommend (and have recommended) this clinic!

I don't know where they found the ladies that greet you upon arrival, but they need to keep them as they are gold. Overall, the experience has been wonderful. It is very tedious and there is a lot of, what seems to be, redundancy but it is obvious that each thing that is asked of the patient is ultimately for the patient's benefit. My one request is that Amen Clinics work with GE or someone to come up with a faster moving SPECT scanner.

I had an amazing experience at the Amen Clinic! Every single person who works there goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. They truly take the time to listen and address any concerns with genuine care. I felt welcomed by Mayou as soon as I walked into the waiting room. I was nervous for the brain scans, but both of the techs (Edgar and Cara) were patient and understanding. Patrick was my patient outcome manager, and he was amazing. He has a very calm demeaner and was extremely patient and kind throughout my history appointment. The evaluation process at the end is thorough, and I felt that Dr. Licciardi had a deep understanding of my individual needs. The results and her explanations of everything felt incredibly validating. My personalized treatment plan was thoughtfully designed, and the aftercare support is intended for continued progress, which I appreciate. Ahlam was my patient care coordinator, and she was super sweet and professional. I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. If you're looking for a place that prioritizes both expertise and empathy, I would absolutely recommend the Amen Clinic! It's most definitely worth it.

After a 3 year journey of unanswered questions about my husband's sudden illness, we landed at the Amen Clinic in Dallas. Courtney Randle and the entire office team is always kind, loving, and extremely helpful. Our questions are always answered and are immediately put in touch with our doctors. Dr. Kansarah and Dr. Filidei changed our lives for the better. Their diagnosis and treatment plan for my husband have allowed him to have a better quality of life. At the Amen Clinic, we are people who matter. They love us like family. In the 3 years prior to going to the Amen Clinic, my husband had countless tests to determine what all the doctors thought was dementia, but not one scan could prove such a diagnosis. We were confused, angry, and scared. At the Amen Clinic, The SPECT scans provided answers for the first time! The scans showed a stroke, NOT dementia. Will my husband be cured? No, he will not, but he has an action plan from these doctors that has enhanced his overall well-being. We are forever grateful for the Amen Clinic!!

In August 2024, I traveled from Houston, TX to the Amen Clinic in Dallas in a desperate attempt to assist my son, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2021. Since his diagnosis, he had been frequently admitted to mental hospitals in Houston. Following much prayer, I was guided to the Amen Clinic, where my son has not been hospitalized since becoming a patient. With the support of his psychiatrist and the clinic's team, he is making significant progress in his recovery. He has recently enrolled in an in-person art class and is improving his socialization skills. His next goal is to rebuild his former skill sets to transition back into the work or education space. I highly recommend the Amen Clinic for their nonconventional and long-term approach to mental illness treatment. My son is very satisfied with his progress and holds his psychiatrist, Dr. Kansara, and the team in high regard. Thank you for all that you do for my son, and our family!

My husband and I were struggling with solutions to help our 8 year old son with his behavior, anxiety, and ADHD. While my son was currently on one stimulant it was suggested by another physician we try an additional one. Prior to starting another medication we opted to inquire on alternative intervention strategies and support. Our therapist along with searches on Google, and watching Dr. Amen on TikTok led us to inquire with Amen Clinics. We are glad we did. Not only did it confirm our son's diagnosis, but alternative non-prescription medications were suggested. Though we are in the beginning our journey we are highly optimistic that because of the thorough evaluation, proven clinical experiences, and concern for our son that we will get the normalcy we hope for our son. From the intake over the phone, to the onsite appointments, the staff was extremely professional and helpful in explaining everything in detail. The technician who prepped my son for his SPECT scan, truly related to my son to make him feel at ease and comfortable. Finally, Dr. Sangra was phenomenal! Not only did he connect with my son, but explained everything and answered all our questions. He was extremely caring and empathetic to our individualized needs. We look forward to continuing to work with him and Amen clinics on getting the support we have been longing for our son.

I have been in healthcare for over 25 years. I have such a high standard of care, and the Amen clinic went above and beyond my expectations. I took my mother and my adult daughter both for scans and evaluations. It was a very long three days but everyone from the front desk people to the doctor were so great. My mom really appreciated the kindness from Mrs. Myers. My mom said she was just "Sunshine and so kind." We all loved Abbi. She was really patient and did a great job getting some very complex information. Brittany was so helpful and really took time making sure we understood the plan and answering questions and rearranging our appointments since we were from out of town so we would not have to sit there for hours between appointments. Last but not least Dr. Licciardi was so great. It took patience and true caring to get through both of my family members assessments. I have had some horrible experiences with psychiatrist and therapist. She was the best we had ever been to. This was worth every penny we spent to do the scans and make the trip from OKC. I am super thankful for the clinic. It was even better than I thought it would be.

I recently spent a Thursday and Friday morning at the Amen Clinic in Irving and the experience could not have been better. Mayou and Tanika both greeted me with a smile each morning and helped ease any anxiousness I was feeling. Both ladies were easy to talk to and had answers for any questions I had. Cara and Edgar were the scan techs I encountered. I met Cara briefly on Thursday and she was smiling and very kind. Edgar was my guy for the things leading up to the scans both days as well as the dude who did the scans. He made sure I was comfortable and somehow got me to be very still for 15 minutes on 2 consecutive days which I believe is a record for me! ha. Victoria is my Patient Outcome Manager and is so nice and kind and made it very easy to speak to her about questions she had for me. Dr. Joseph spoke with my wife and I via Zoom the following Tuesday afternoon and discussed results and answered our questions as well as gave us options for next steps and set up a follow up appointment in a month I believe it was. She is very knowledgeable and personable and takes the time to make sure I/we understood what she was talking about etc. I highly recommend Amen Clinic and the staff will ensure your experience will be as good as mine! And care team who truly saved our family member bringing her to stabilization within a week of receiving her spect scan and appropriate diagnosis and treatment. This was after two hospitalizations and 3 failed attempts by standard of care psychiatry to treat a condition with no positive results and possible worsened condition. The spect scan gave us precise answers to where the brain was being affected and resulted in a treatment plan that worked in a number of days. Shout out to our Patient Outcome Manager Danielle McDuffy. My teen was pretty nervous going into the intake interview to be asked a bunch of questions by someone she's just met. I purchased the all inclusive packadge which includes 2 SPECT scans, a full evaluation, and follow up appointments for aftercare. After my SPECT scans, Hayley and Dr. Makwana helped develop a short term and long term holistic plan with supplements, medication, lifestyle, diet, exercise, therapies, and specialists to see to kick start my treatment of getting better, in all areas of my life. They have now given me hope for not only improvement of my mental and physical health, but whole life as well. I can't recommend the Amen Clinic enough to all of my friends, family, clients, and acquaintances. I’ve waited a year to write a review to be thorough. I saw some of Dr Amen’s videos and was blown away by his knowledge and how thorough he is. The Amen approach combines psychology, neurology, and natural methods. While you don’t work with Amen himself, the doctors here are incredible. Cost was a deterrent at first, but for many people, you can do a single scan evaluation to save a lot of money and still get the brain scans you need. I love that my treatment is not guess work. We have physical proof, scans of the blood flow and activity in my brain, to properly diagnose and medicate. Our family’s chiropractor said this, “What does it cost? Sure, it isn’t cheap, but how much is the rest of your life worth?” and that really stuck with me. I also will mention every person’s treatment is custom tailored to them, but they will not just give you an evaluation and leave you hanging. A year later, I am still doing 6 week check ups via Zoom, which are not free or cheap because insurance doesn’t assist, but it is worth it knowing we are being thorough and precise. I also do coaching with someone at Amen and that has been a great way to develop systems that work specifically for me to cope, strengthen, and harness my abilities the best that I can. I know I’m using vague terminology, but it can be difficult to write about medical publicly. I just want to reassure you that even if you feel like you have tried EVERYTHING. If your life is so difficult you just break down crying by thinking about how hard it is. There is hope. Please give Amen Clinics a shot and I’m confident it’ll change your world, because it has changed mine.

My entire experience at The Amen Clinic was fabulous! The staff that visited with me to get my information and history were so nice (shout-out to Paige and Hayley!). The assistant to my Dr was so on top of scheduling me with the Dr as well as following up after my visit --- And Taj the radiologist who did my scans really was amazing. Gold Star for Taj!!!! Such a nice, thoughtful and calming guy who helped me thru my nervousness (I hate needles, even a blood test makes me woozy). My follow up with the doctor was so helpful in understanding what my brain does, how it works and finally having understanding of why I do what I do (and what I don't ever seem to fully complete) ADHD can be tough - especially if you aren't diagnosed until you're an adult. I am writing this review for the wonderful Patient Coordinator Anthony who has been tremendously helpful throughout this process. I feel that most people who come to Amen Clinic are coming with that last glimmer of hope because it is not exactly cheap. When you are dealing with or a family member is dealing with a mental issue that is life threatening, it can be very stressful and scary. The first time I spoke with Anthony we were dealing with a very critical life and death situation and Anthony was very calming and when he said that he would take care of something he did! The second and third time that I had the pleasure of dealing with Anthony, I would admit that I was very frustrated. For three weeks, I had been trying to get a form completed and on the day of the deadline, I spoke with Anthony right before closing and FINALLY we received the completed form! Anthony went above and beyond and I don't think that he realizes how much that meant. Thank you!

Although it sounds like hyperbole, Amen Clinic changed my life. I had been sick for two years with a host of symptoms that no one seemed able to explain completely. I had both physical and cognitive deficits: I spent 19 months in physical therapy, a year in speech therapy, and did occupational therapy. Finally, I went to the Amen Clinic. Dr. Makwana has been a breath of fresh air for our family. Living in a place where mental health and developmental resources are minimal for children, Dr. Makawana has been exactly what we needed. I give Amen Clinic 5 stars for my first two appointments with Dr. Liccardi & my first appointment with Dr. Melissa Quinn. Both were like a “breath of fresh air” & seem to be genuinely interested in my mental health. Dr. Liccardi picked up quickly on my situation & we have made a plan to go forward with some things that should improve my health without repeating what I have been doing. I have been working on my brain health for 30 years with some success but not enough. I do have to be very wise and purposeful about my medical expenses & feel Amen Clinic will provide me the most important of resources needed.

I went to them asking for a diagnosis regarding my brain health and ruled out an array of illnesses, tumors, autoimmune, Lyme, biological issues and narrowed it down to a few things and some solid treatment plans. This is my second time at an Amen Clinic. I was at Newport Beach 11 years ago. I returned because I had good results with Anxiety and Depression but felt that now I needed help with Memory and Cognition. I started the process with my Case Manager, Stepanie Geerlig on Zoom and was at the Irving, TX clinic about a month ago for two days of testing. I had a zoom consultation with Dr. Vernon Johnson on Sept 6th. Everyone that I have interacted with especially Dr. Johnson and Stephanie has been great! Very knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and understanding. They are even more thorough that 11 years ago. I am starting some of their recommendations and already seeing some progress. I would highly recommend them.

I had to manage the entire process, transfer knowledge and updates from specialist to specialist and try to figure out what was the best path forward with their different ideas and our limited time and money. The process was slow, inefficient and often felt like they were making educated guesses to see what would work even with prescription medicines, which was hard on my daughter’s system. When I found Amen all of that changed. Dr. Kansara immediately ordered brain scans, cognitive testing and DNA testing to see what therapies, both cognitive and pharmacological would be best, taking the guess work out of the process AND giving my daughter encouragement that the trial and error “guinea pig process” would stop. With Dr. Kansara’s expertise combined with Amen’s science backed process I no longer had to manage the process and could just be her Mom. We were able to prioritize some quick hits to get the success ball moving. I very much appreciated that Dr. Kansara has a wholistic approach and not every solution was a pill! Although Amen is not cheap, I feel our dollars are more effectively spent and the testing has created a trackable baseline that has helped us see progress and understand how her body and brain work better. Dr. Kansara is a rare gem in the field of medicine. I cannot recommend her enough!

If you want to find the ROOT CAUSE of a health compromise or chronic condition that doctors dismiss or say is all in your head, PLEASE READ ON. My son is now 25 and has been diagnosed with an exhausting list of complex disabling conditions. He was doing well until he suffered 2 grand mal seizures which started a cascade of serious health decline. Within 6 months, he was bed-ridden, unresponsive most of the day, and non-functional. His lab work showed serious infectious biomarkers which doctors dismissed and said there's nothing more we can do. Having researched Dr. Amen's clinic and practice objectives, I knew we wouldn't be dismissed. I wish we had done the SPECT scan years ago!!! They identified many complexities that never showed up and won't show up on MRI's, CT's, and all other brain scans. And, it was one of the worst they had ever seen-globally compromised-but we didn't know why. Dr. Candice Licciardi was our treating physician; she was/is very kind, honest, knowledgeable, determined, thorough, caring, diligent, and does not give up. Her assistant, Hannah Jones is magnificent as well. They were quick to reply to my questions and concerns; when Dr. Licciardi didn't have answers, she consulted with her brilliant team of experts because my son was rapidly declining. During this time, we attempted to get help from 3 Emergency Room hospitals and stayed a full week in another. In spite of having awful labs and serious biomarkers, we were sent home. Dr. Licciardi and her team at the Amen clinic continued to seek answers, wrote a letter for us to be seen by a functional wellness physician, and was willing to work with any of his treating physicians. Sadly, that was not reciprocated. However, through their support and unrelenting desire to help, we finally got my son's diagnosis': Chronic, complex Lyme's, Epstein Barr, HSV 1, Tachycardia, fungal, neurotoxin, environmental, skin rashes, heavy metal, parasitic, and systemic co-infections. He was literally dying until we connected with the Amen Clinic. Today, we continue to be treated by Dr. Licciardi and a functional wellness physician; my son's prognosis is very positive. We also learned some of his "lifelong disabilities" may be rooted in these infections that went untreated or dismissed for years. Like Dr. Amen says, we must look at every organ we are treating and get to the root cause. Thanks to Dr. Licciardi, Hannah Jones, our functional doc, and the Amen clinic team, my son is alive and we have a direction for healing. One day, I hope to see traditional western medical practitioners listen to and work with various physicians who specialize in other care modalities. Thanks to Dr. Amen who continues to push the bar higher for all health care providers. He has great teams in various states-so thankful for Dr. Licciardi, Hannah Jones, and the excellent team in Dallas, Texas. I have wanted to use the Amen Clinics' services for years. Was able to fulfill my desire of checking on my brain's health at the Dallas clinic. I was nervous and the team from calling the Receptionist (when facing the building-go to the entrance on the right), Front Desk personnel, the scan technician, counselor, and the doctor were all welcoming, understanding, and very kind. I was a bit stressed-out but all were helpful even the Front Desk person when I didn't listen well. Thank you. I have met with my Doctor for my results-she was great!!! I so appreciate that they provided me with not only the results of my tests, but the entire set of them in .pdf form and the complete zoom video of my meeting with my doctor for my reference!! My apologies in advance as this is lengthy review, however it highlights everything. I do not know where too began to express my gratitude, appreciation, and the level of care provided to me, at the Amen Clinic of Dallas. Dr. Kandace Licciardi, Hannah Jones and Kristen Schmidt, along with their team have been absolutely wonderful to work with. Throughout all my life, it has been my experience that every form of therapy that I have experienced, has virtually been the same. Sit down, talk, question if you are still sane, more than likely receive a prescription (that they prescribed in that same day), and then leave with more questions than answers. The brain is the only organ in the human body that the “western medicine” does not actually examine (unless it’s a brain injury). It’s funny because the definition of insanity is to continue to repeat the same act expecting a different result... Sounds pretty like most mental health programs. When I read Dr. Amen’s book, I simply knew that the Amen Clinic was exactly what I was looking for. It was a nice blend of Western Medicine with an Eastern Medicine mindset (in my opinion). We have one life to live, why not figure out what and how our brain operates. I traveled from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Irving, Texas to receive my brain or SPECT scans. They have a beautiful clinic and within two days my scans were complete. Once my scans were processed and looked over by Dr. Kandace Licciardi, Hannah Jones & Kirsten Schmidt prepared a zoom meeting to go over their findings. Thank goodness they recorded the Zoom meeting for me because we covered a ton of information. After the zoom, I received an email with copy of my scans, video, blood work orders (it’s a very extensive blood work), a test to see how my body can process certain prescriptions and can’t process them, a very detailed evaluation report, and an outline of my next steps. The Amen Clinic of Dallas absolutely made sure that I was taken care of moving forward, even with being out of state. They have quick to respond, very friendly, knowledgeable, but most importantly they truly care. This is not your typical clinician’s office, they are a "White Glove Service who are Brain Experts that Specialize in Life Changing Educators that offer Knowledge and Guidance in a Concierge Service. I think you get the point. I would recommend them to anyone, of any age, regardless of any situation. I learned things about myself that I never knew, thanks to this team. Thank you again!

I had been to many drs and been on psychotropics for years. No dr had asked me whether I had had a traumatic brain injury before which I had in my late twenties. I had fractured my skull in a auto accident. I have been receiving treatment from the Amen clinic with hyperbaric and brain md supplements. I have gotten off all medications and am doing fine. My entire overall opinion of Amen Clinics has reached far above my expectations. Though with previous encounters with all the other doctor's I did my best to go into this relationship with Amen Clinics with limited expectations. One thing that helped majorly was the appointments to reiterate everything that we went over with the doctor as it was an overwhelming amount of information. Every person that I have been in contact with has stayed on top of getting all the information to approach the issues at hand. Thoroughly getting every detail whether it be recent all the way back to potential head trauma as a child. Like many things, all the damage was acquired over many years. Recovering from trauma and damage isn't immediate, though it has been very apparent in hindsight. Yes their price is high when initially learning of how much it would be and it definitely had me nervous to an extent. I had simply reached a point where you couldn't put a price that I was willing to pay to have any answers. I have received far more answers in the past 6 months than I have gotten from any other doctor in the previous 10 years. With that considered, their price is actually far cheaper in the long run. I am very grateful that I was able to get in and all the help staying on track with the plan of action following the appointments, and would absolutely recommend Amen Clinics.
