We brought my 8yo grandnephew here 1/26 for info re his PCP/school 'Psycologist' label of ****. He had ************** during birth, leaving him with a TBI from lack of oxygen. Having always had the energy of 2-3 people, yet still being able to solve/overcome many of his issues on his own, he was put on the 'go-to' ADHD med(s), which didn't slow him down at all! After a truly saddening 1st day at the clinic, he went into flight-or-flight mode and wouldn't let the nurse inject the IV contrast for the scan. He's had many CT/MRI scans and was afraid of the possible noise, though there isn't any at all for a SPECT. The first day timed out for the process, and we tried for the second day, which was much more successful! We missed the first Virtual meeting w/ the Clinic by being on Amtrack going home, no WiFi, but was able to get it rescheduled for another date while we were still on the train. The entire process went as planned while there at the Clinic, excepting the first days' scan, and with the virtual meeting at home with Dr. ***** she was able to show us the *** in ADHD and we saw with our own eyes how his brain was way overactive, just as Dr. **** described in his book, THE 7 TYPES of ADHD, in the Ring of Fire... type 6 of ADHD, and how he'd actually been fighting AGAINST the ****** which are stimulants, and were making him WORSE!! You can't problem-solve and troubleshoot when you aren't sure of what's there, and can't SEE! Yes, there's a cost involved, that's to be expected for such a deeply technical procedure/outcome and number of professionals involved! We were NOT charged for the time, inconvenience, and SPECT timeslot wasted the first day...we could've been, though! The cost does have to be contended with, between your means and desired outcome for the rest of your life...it's a decision no one else can make for you. I for one, can only say that we NOW know extactly what that poor kid has been contending with! The right diet/supplements, healing begins!

I really appreciate the patience and time Dr. Karimpour took to visit and consult with us. I could tell that she knows from experience how to best help her patients. Her expertise allowed me to make changes to my routine and my medicine that helped me feel better about myself.

From the front desk staff, Hailey and Luis, to the Patient Outcome Managers Ashley and Makayla, to the Clinic Director Elle, to my evaluating physician Dr. Johnson, and my therapy counselor Paige. I have never been treated with such compassion, understanding and expertise. This team treats you with individual care and respects the delicate nature of brain health. I have never felt more validated, seen and cared for in any level of medical care in my entire life. I wish I had come to Amen clinics so many years earlier as it has made such a change in my everyday being. I always knew I had some element ADHD but learned it was more than I realized as I watched Dr. Amen and his wife Tana speaking about it on videos. After 2-3 weeks of being on supplements, I felt a calm that I had not felt before. Even without anxiety, I didn't understand that my mind was in the frantic state that I had become accustomed to since my teens (I'm in my late 40s). The calm was strange but peaceful and I am now able to finish tasks without thinking about what else I need to do or going in between different tasks at the same time. I am looking forward to "catching up" with life where it always seemed impossible and to starting a business that I have always wanted to but felt held back from because of my lack of focus.
The people working in the clinic are amazing too. It is so nice to be known by name every time I walk in. Everyone is so friendly! Dr. Momaya has been great, Elle is so helpful, Hedy is so sweet in HBOT (I love seeing her every time I come in), and I always enjoy chatting with Dr. Gattis as he answers my neurofeedback curiosity questions or having conversations with him about what affects frequencies in my brain and connecting the dots. It's so fascinating!
If you are considering coming in, I would definitely take the step to at least start the conversation and find out if treatment would be helpful because it certainly has made a difference for me and I am so grateful!

Dr Karimpour what an amazing treatment plan that was customized for my son and the care and time she put into answering our questions and putting forth a very comprehensive road map of supplementation, diet, potential school initiatives that we should look into to enact for his studies, and the collaboration with other therapists that we are working with as well. Very impressive of the care given and quality.
And last but not least, Elle Mollet the Clinical Director for the Amen Clinics, she is amazing, the field general of the clinic who has an amazing heart and soul and understands what we needed for this healing journey. Elle's care, empathy, and support is unmatched. She gets things done and was so proactive in getting my son what he needed from the initiation of tests, to supplementation, to connecting with him; where Cash had said, "Elle is really cool!" Incredibly supportive environment, great mental health experience
In this job you learn so much, but not in an overwhelming way. Everything is broken down into small steps and what you end up learning here is valuable and often fascinating. The management team is so nice and supportive. I have never once felt like I can't ask a question or give/receive genuine feedback. Co-workers are also all kind and always helpful. It really feels like a team here. If you don't like sitting at a desk for most of the day, this job is not for you, and taking calls back to back can get a bit repetitive. You will hear many real-life stories from around the world, so you will learn a lot of applicable information. Many calls can be emotionally charged as well, so it takes an empathetic and patient person. This job also requires good listening and good multitasking skills. This job includes monthly potlucks/catered food, the possibility for monthly bonuses, and the management team is always creating new activities to keep things light and fun. Biggest takeaway for me is the opportunity for professional growth and mental health experience.
The psychiatric care is personal, therapeutic, and competent. Everyone is friendly and caring, from the phone staff, to the personal assistants. Dr. Licciardi sets an example for what a knowledgeable and caring psychiatrist should be. Brittany and Anthony are fabulous assistants, always working to resolve any complications I may be experiencing. Also, their communication with the doctor is impeccable. I highly recommend.
This place is THE BEST! The brain scan process was easy, the staff made me feel relaxed, and the overall experience was worth it to me. Dr. Karimpour at the OC office is so wonderful! She listens, she's kind and honest, and she has made it clear that her goal is to take a holistic approach (rather than just pushing tons of meds) to helping me feel my best. Awesome Workplace with Purposeful Job!
Working at the Amen Clinics has been a great experience. Between the awesome coworkers, exceptionally kind management, and fun other benefits like monthly catered lunches and potlucks, working here for the past year has been a joy. The job itself can be a bit repetitive, and sometimes emotionally tolling, but the positive and fun work environment helps lighten things up when needed.
OK everybody so it's been a while and I have to say that I had to give them that extra star reason being that they have been extremely faithful in their follow up and the medication they recommended has worked wonders. I'm not saying that I'm 100% but what I am saying is that the follow ups have been very informative and very helpful so I would definitely recommend Amen clinics to you
I had Dr. Daniel Amen evaluate by SPECT advanced imaging scan, that scan was previously completed at OHSU in Portland, Oregon; his insights were helpful. Dr Amen encouraged HBOT sessions plus nutritional analysis with a future follow up. I wish HBOT was easier to get covered by Insurance
***** was the accepting patient at the front desk. I brought my 10-year-old son for treatment. She was graceful and thorough in making sure our appointment went smoothly. She was able to explain the procedure and what to expect. It was my first time, and everything went well, all on time.
I have worked with ************ since 2010 beginning with the brain scan for my 22 year old daughter. Since then I have referred many of my own clients to him, and now my daughter's daughter. I've always received information that has helped the individuals. His work is brilliant and the results have been life changing. Knowing what causes certain behavior issues helps to keep the individuals off medications, and understanding reactions to life-stimuli allows all of us to know how to live without the stress from confusion and frustration. His books have also been helpful.I would not know how to help these individuals without these scans, books, and expert guidance from ************ and/or his associates. I have been working for Amen Clinics for 7 months now, I can easily say that I've had a really positive experience here so far. Its been easy and enjoyable to represent a company when you agree with their approach and methods. Its a science based, natural and holistic clinic with a brilliant team of doctors and staff. The job requires you to talk to a series of potential patients from various backgrounds. You listen to their experiences and guide them to the best services that will help improve their situation. The management team in my department really cares about their employees and makes a constant effort to show their appreciation. The hours are great, time off request is fair, OT options available and pay is reasonable. The more work you put in, the better the out come for pay as well. I love my team and the staff remains professional. Overall I would say this is a comfortable and positive work space.
After two family members recommended the Amen Clinics, I decided to give it a shot. I couldn't be happier with my experience despite finding out what terrible shape my brain is in. The entire staff was very caring and compassionate and I really appreciate my doctors, Momaya and Plante. I had the most wonderful experience at amen! I felt very heard and understood when communicating about my struggle with medication and finding the right fit. I felt like I had been doing trial and error with other doctors for years who just kept prescribing medicine and told me I would probably need them for the rest of my life. I expressed to ************** that I didn't want to be dependent on a medication and I would like to understand what was going on and how I could best fix it. He was totally on board and explained in great detail what he noticed in my SPECT scans and what he thought could work for me. The then talked to me about my medication options and we picked one together. After a couple months, I realized the immense change in my quality of life for the better. He also created a plan to get me off of them once I find other solutions via different therapies or lifestyle changes. I couldn't be more grateful for my experience with the Amen clinic.
I am extremely grateful for finding the Amen Clinic, my experience has been nothing but positive. The team assigned to me was thorough, and comprehensive and showed genuine interest in me. I showed up at the Amen Clinic combating a severe case of anxiety and was reluctant to go on any medications. My SPECT Scan revealed some underlying issues that were detailed out in the final report. My scheduled phone calls and Zoom Calls all went off as scheduled. I Was evaluated and counseled along with the necessary recommendations to best treat my condition. I wrote out each and every recommendation and went to work, change in nutrition, sleep habits, exercise, nutritional supplements, removing copious amounts of coffee and sugar and grains from my diet, lost weight, I simply decided to take take 100% responsability for my mental and emotional health and the outcome has been nothing more than complete satisfaction. ********************** supplied me the necessary tools, but I understood that I needed to take control of my underlying external environmental conditions that was creating my anxiety. My final report sits on my desk I value it as a prescription, and I will review it from time to time to ensure I am dialed in. Do I have periods that I am challenged with bouts of anxiety, yes indeed, but ********************* had presented me with the proper tools in my tool box for me to live life now on my terms, no longer do I find myself with the inability to function through my day. Gratitude.
My father first came to Amen Clinics as a result of a TBI as a result of a terrible car accident. ***************** and the team at the ******* Clinic have been exceptional! As a result of this evaluation, my father was able to address other underlying issues and concerns he had been dealing with for a while. Whenever we had questions about medications/supplements the team was always pleasantly available and quick to respond. Needless to say, we have received excellent service and are extremely grateful!!!!
Ill be 100% honest - it seems as though wealthy individuals send their kids here to find out why theyre stupid... this isnt that kind of place. If you were stupid to start with, Will be stupid afterwards. This place is for people that have serious issues from TBI or what have you. Although I have not been able to fully implement the treatment plan that has been given to me, due to limitations... They totally understand what is going on and are making strides to make improvements in my life. I do completely understand if you cannot afford the service it might seem like a scam but I assure you ****% that it is not.
I've called Amen Clinics a few times to inquire about their program in the hopes that it will help our grandson. Possible bipolar. I am so impressed with the time that the young lady spent with me answering all the questions and addressing the many concerns I have. I'm expecting the innovative methods to help our sweet boy tremendously!! Will update soon as he is just starting his journey with Amen Clinics.

We had a pretty good experience with the Amen clinic, however it does take ages to get the appointment with the integrative doctor. That is the case everywhere though. Jordan Moscow is the best coordinator and is always so prompt and courteous. Dr. Chakra is always patient and kind as well.
Yes. I went to their Manhattan office. I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. I did 2 SPECT (brain) scans and a psychological test. I am waiting to hear my results. Most encouraging is the out-of-the-box thinking to get me to where my brain will function optimally and hence the rest of my life. Yes, I will recommend Amen Clinics. I have an appointment for a very detailed medical and life history coming up, to culminate in the final detailed analysis of what is going on for me and, based upon their years of experience, how I can correct the problems/symptoms I have been experiencing once and for all! The Amen clinic and the Spect scans along with all the other supporting therapy and testing that goes into the final report has been the most cost effective and truly helpful package that we have received. I have to say it was a turning point in my life getting the results, feedback, and guidance on how best to move forward with not only my treatment and supplements but also the education into why I was feeling the way was. 5 star ? experience and 2 thumbs ? Up!
I was and am impressed with Amen clinic. They did testing and spect scans of my brain. They helped me to recognize what needed attention through their evaluation, recommendations, and suggestions. I implemented them and it has been life changing. They look at brain systems not just mental health systems. They provide what people need to know and do, to get better. A method that should be adopted by all of psychiatry.

I learned about this clinic via a family member and their process was much different approach than previous "professionals" I've been to. I didn't feel judged at all and I finally had a better idea of the issues I've dealt with and still was dealing with. They didn't just want put me on a bunch of pharmaceuticals and I didn't really understand why, they broke down their assessments of me and they recommended one along with some natural supplements specific to my situation. If I had it to do over again, I definitely would
My husband paid $4,000 for a three visit therapy, a few hours each visit,for our daughter who is chronically depressed. We were not impressed by the care given to her. Apart from her brain scan, they did little to help her. We paid to fly her out to Los Angeles where she stayed for the days required for her treatment. For the almost $5,000 we spent, I think it would have been better if she had received regular, traditional visits to a psychiatrist. She still suffers and as far as I know, there was no follow-up. In short, we were not satisfied with the ‘care’ they gave her. One thing, they were swift to suck that money out of our account, days before her visit. All in all, my daughter was not helped by Amen Clinic and we wished we had gone another route!
I don’t say this lightly: Amen Clinic saved my husband’s life. Well worth it to have my husband’s toxic brain injury validated through the SPECT scan. My husband suffered from chronic toxic exposure that no local professional knew how to treat. Amen Clinic Dr Emina and Bellevue-based Dr Chapek teamed up to provide treatments with supplement support that noticeably helped hubby feel better *immediately.It’s rare to have such highly capable, competent doctors who are humble and who take the time to listen and give clear explanations + superb treatment. Hubby is a compliant patient, follows Dr’s orders, and has his follow-up appointments. Dr Emina speaks in easy-to-understand terms, using analogies to help us understand the importance of compliance. Dr Chapek asks incisive questions and has done an amazing job providing an effective and powerful detox regimen. We will be returning for hubby’s follow-up scan. I really dont understand the negative reviews about AMEN clinic I have been with AMEN clinic in Manhattan for three years Dr *** and his secretary are completely amazing the whole place is amazing the opportunity to have herbs instead of medication the way they cut cost to make sure you dont pay too much the testing that they do they are completely amazing and a godsend I do not understand the negative reviews they do not deserve any of these at all because they are truly amazing I suffer from brain damage complex post traumatic stress disorder DID hypervigilance. And if it wasnt for them helping me I would be truly lost I praise God every day that I have them in my life that I can call them anytime day or night and they will always answer the phone Dr *** is my guardian *** and people should leave a great review because if it wasnt for this company. If it wasnt for Dr *** I dont know what I would do . Maybe people that dont have problems dont appreciate every single thing they do but Im telling you right now theyre amazingI would be totally lost and I am finally getting my sanity back because of them kind regards
