The Atlanta clinic is wonderful. They were very easy to work with as I asked about how the process works and what exactly would be done. Every single person (front desk, techs, care coordinator, and doctors) were extremely competent and helpful. Now that I have started the hyperbaric oxygen treatments and have been on the brain power max for a couple of weeks, I am finally starting to feel better. THANK YOU AMEN CLINIC!

The Amen Clinics truly SAVED MY LIFE. Before discovering them, I was a mostly functional Network Administrator, thriving in my dream job at Interstate Warehousing. Unfortunately, I began experiencing severe depression, mood swings, brain fog, fatigue, and memory loss. My care at the VA Alvin C. York Clinic in Murfreesboro, TN took a disastrous turn when they prescribed SSRIs that sent me spiraling into psychosis for nearly a year. I was in and out of hospitals, lost my career, and was labeled with Type 1 Bipolar Disorder, yet I was never improving. Desperate for answers, I sought a second opinion at the Amen Clinics. Their holistic and brain-focused approach was eye-opening. They used science that I could literally see on my scans, showing how malnutrition and deeper issues were impacting my mental health. Through their evaluation and recommendations, I finally discovered I had Celiac Disease. The Amen Clinics identified what others had missed, which ultimately exposed the overmedication and mistreatment I had been receiving at the VA. If I had continued down the VA Mental Health path, I genuinely believe I might not be here today. The Amen Clinics stand out for their compassion, advanced technology, and unwavering dedication to understanding the true cause of each patient's struggles. I did do the recommendations with their vitamins and now am off 1 of my antidepressants and the other one I take as needed. I am happier and see a positive future. Yes I paid out of pocket for cost but was well worth it would suggest it for anyone!

5 Stars are not enough! I visited the Atlanta Amen Clinic and I was impressed from the first call I made to make an appointment, through the entire process, and the verbal and email follow-ups. This is an overwhelmingly professional Clinic with the kindest staff and physician anyone could imagine. Dr. Richason was my physician and she spent a full day on my case, which included phone calls from her for additional clarification hours after I left the clinic. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable, amazingly compassionate, and extremely hardworking. What more could I ask for? I was initially taken back by the cost for the visit, but in retrospect I am amazed at the value I received for the price I paid. I left the clinic with a detailed diagnosis and list of suggestions for actions to pursue. Within a few days I received a 50 page report which included many more suggestions for ways I could pursue being the best version of me. The volume of information for scan interpretations, computer and written testing outcomes, interviewing/personal history analyses, diagnoses, therapeutic recommendations, and helpful hints is a bit overwhelming, but staff stands ready to help you make application to your life in an orderly way. The overall Amen Clinic experience was so positive that I am recommending to my family and friends to schedule a wellness visit. We can all do a better job of taking care of our brain. As a mental health counselor I highly recommend the Atlanta Amen Clinic to my clients. My first call is normally to Jessica Olson when referring clients. She has been a huge asset in helping my clients determine the right Dr for them and help them understand the process as a whole. The psychological assessment is like none other. They are thorough and take their time getting to know every aspect of my client. In addition to their psychological assessment they use brain scans to confirm. No other form of psychological assessment offers this “no guessing” type of approach. It makes sense that we are scanning the organ that we treat. I also like that they can offer a traditional medicine route for clients who are looking for medication management in addition to the functional medicine route. They look at the whole person and not just the issues. I cannot recommend them enough. In addition to being a referring provider, I have also had the experience as a patient. Dr Chakra was so knowledgeable in going over my brain scans. He is very smart and also so kind and compassionate. I chose the supplement route for helping my brain and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the supplement line. I have felt much better after starting them. As both a patient and referring provider I trust the Atlanta team and I am so grateful to work with them both personally and professionally.

My family doctor is Dr. Ali--he is the greatest doctor we have ever experienced. His knowledge is beyond anything I have ever seen, and even more compelling is his genuine care for his patients. We started with Dr. Ali over 6 years ago. Both my boys were have incredibly difficult times in schools. One son had been in 5 different schools in 5 years. He always excelled in learning, but struggled with focus, emotional regulation, and not being bored. My oldest son had an incredibly high IQ, but couldn't seem to bring that into the classroom or with emotional intelligence among his peers. After we were diagnosed (I was diagnosed with CPTSD), Dr. Ali has walked a very hard, difficult journey with us for the last 5 years. He set us up for success--in the beginning both my boys had not gone through puberty yet, and so he guided us to supplements that could sustain their extreme ADD diagnosis through puberty in order to not put them on heavy medications while their body was still growing. Eventually when it was time, we allowed my boys to make the decision if they wanted to be on prescription medication. They have had seasons where they needed it, and then as they have become adults, they have also worked with Dr. Ali to create alteranative treatments to help them gain the skills to manage their ADHD. He always encouraged us to see counselors along with any medications or supplements. My ex-husband ended up abandoning myself and my children in the middle of our care under Dr. Ali. Dr. Ali has been the most amazing stabilizing force to go through the journey of grief and trauma while managing our other diagnosis. We could not have survived the last 4 years without his guidance and care. We have felt extreme care and concern for each of us as indiviudals, and I believe it reveals the kind of physician Dr. Ali is--each patient is their own person to him--he cares about every person's story. The staff have been wonderful in helping us manage our appointments and payments. I have recommended the Amen clinic at least 100 times to friends and family for the gift of health that they gave to us :)

Dr. Ali at the Amen clinic has been my husband's and my psychiatrist for probably seven or eight years now and we both give him five stars. He is exceptionally well-versed in both allopathic and complementary medication and treatments. He is supportive and caring, takes his time with us, answers emails and is generally all that you could want. The Amen clinics do the best job of diagnosing ADHD, PTSD and head injury effects of any clinic I have ever heard of. They use SPECT scans to pinpoint exactly what is going on in the brain in order to treat it effectively. Their assessment is more complete than any I have seen and takes everything into consideration including past emotional trauma and life history. I highly recommend them and him particularly.

DR. CHAKRA has cared for my mother for years now. My mother is a different person because of the AMEN CLINIC. Her doctor supports her in all ways possible. I’m not sure if she would be here without Dr. Chakra. Some of these nasty reviews can’t be by real patients that are committed to the support and advice or doing as they are advised to do. I think some believe that there is overnight, snapping of the fingers help. Superman isn’t real. There’s no such thing as immediate change in most cases. It takes time and commitment by the patient and family. Dr. Chakra is good to my mom. I know he cares about anyone he sees.

I cannot begin to say what an incredible experience this has been so far with Amen Clinic in Atlanta. Dr. Kaur has been such a huge blessing to me and my husband. The brain scans revealed the things we already knew about some past instances and a few other things that we did not know. Dr. Kaur's approach to wellness and brain health is by far better than anything that we have ever experienced with any Dr. She is kind, caring, understanding and treats me as if I am her only patient. She truly cares about my physical health as well as my mental health and prescribes only what I need in medication and supplements. My husband is ADHD and instead of putting him on medication that would put him at risk with his Lupus flaring up, she put him on supplements to try first. He feels better than he has in so long. His thinking is clearer, his mood is better, and his lupus is still in remission. The anxiety that I was experiencing is so much better and I feel better than I have all year. I can't recommend this clinic enough. We spent years of attempting to find the correct meds and dosages for my pre-teen and her symptoms only got worse. After her SPECT scans, Dr. Chakra showed us why the old meds didn't work and what she actually needed. We still made a few adjustments but without the terrible side effects we were seeing with other med changes. I'm forever grateful for Amen and all that these physicians do for their patients. Dr. Chakra has the most approachable bedside manner with these kids and explains everything to them first. Asking her how she feels about the protocol and if she will stick to it and give it a real try. She felt seen heard and understood and because of that was all in on the treatment. I would tell anyone especially a parent, this protocol is worth every penny. This is the most normal she has ever felt and it seems to be improving over time.

Melanie was born with a TBI which led to many complications from that injury and what had become a 40-year medical mystery. It is just now, since being seen at Amen Clinic, that her medical mystery is being solved. On one of our visits to the ER, the attending ER doctor said that I needed to find a local Psychiatrist to help with Melanie’s mental health issues as all her issues were mental health related. I called every Psychiatrist number they gave me, and no one would schedule Melanie for an appointment for various reasons. Finally, I was told to truly find the answers I should looking into getting a qEEG and SPECT scan. Researching the internet brought us to Amen Clinics in Atlanta. I called the information number to Amen Clinics and after a lengthy discussion with Eve, Melanie was scheduled to see Dr. Harkirat Kaur. Melanie first met Dr. Harkirat Kaur at Amen Clinics in July 2023; after her testing had been completed. When Melanie met Dr. Kaur she was in a wheelchair, as she had lost the ability to walk at that time. Understand, Melanie was a young lady who used to love to hike and take many walks. At that time, Melanie also had a peg tube as she would lose the ability to eat and take medication orally from time-to-time. She also came home with high blood pressure that she did not have prior to leaving home, as well as many rashes. Melanie’s left side was also very affected as well – she drooled from the left side of her mouth, she pocketed food on the left side while eating, and was unable to use her left arm or hand very well. When she was able to walk again, her gait was negatively affected from when she had originally left home. After a very long discussion of Melanie’s history and reviewing the test results with Dr. Kaur we produced a treatment plan. Our hope was for Melanie to begin to feel better and to find answers on how best to help Melanie become healthy and happy once again. Every letter or call that I made to Dr. Kaur asking for help in between our appointments was always answered. We no longer felt alone in this journey. The entire staff at Amen Clinics in Atlanta are extremely helpful and, more importantly, kind and accepting. Each patient’s situation is different, and everyone is treated with kindness. I have had the pleasure of speaking with other families while waiting to see Dr. Kaur and everyone has had the same experience with the support staff and physicians. Our Coach is Kennedy. She is always upbeat, cheerful, and ready to share her ideas in each session. Today Melanie is very different from the day she walked into the clinic in June 2023. Since being a patient of Dr. Kaur’s, Melanie has been able to have her Peg Tube removed; hypertension is no longer an issue for her; Melanie has lost 30 pounds; she no longer needs her wheelchair; and Melanie’s left side is beginning to return to normal. Melanie loves to take walks throughout the day once again and is so much healthier than we ever thought would be possible. Dr. Kaur, from the very beginning, has encouraged us to seek out opportunities that Melanie will enjoy since this will benefit Melanie’s overall health and happiness. Melanie is currently participating in Horsemanship Lessons twice a week and absolutely loves them. This gives Melanie the opportunity to be outside (which she loves), as well as getting to spend time with a horse named Luna. Melanie has learned a lot about taking care of Luna and in doing this, it has helped Melanie’s motor planning skills to increase. With the encouragement from Dr. Kaur, we will take Melanie to visit many state parks, botanical gardens, and various other mind stimulating activities this summer and beyond. We feel like Melanie’s life is just beginning at the age of 40. Melanie finally has the right diagnoses, and this allows her medical team to accurately treat Melanie’s medical needs. Melanie is a happier and healthier young lady and enjoys life each day. With Dr. Kaur’s expertise, we have many adventures waiting for Melanie.
Dr Kaur is the BEST. She is the most hard working doctor I know. She really goes above and beyond for her patients. I am super grateful to know her and work with her. When Dr Peoples left I thought all hope was lost- but Dr Kaur has been nothing short of amazing .

Working with the Amen clinic in Atlanta over the past year and a half has truly improved the dynamic of our family. Our story: For many years, our son has struggled with the symptoms of ADHD. While he is extremely talented in many areas and very bright, he also has difficulty managing emotions and with performing various other executive functions. It was a tough year when he reached the age of 11 and we had all run out of ideas of how to help my son manage his symptoms. His grandmother happened to see a PBS special with Dr. Amen talking about his immense knowledge of the brain and its various malfunctions (for lack of a better word). After learning about the clinic, I immediately did lots of research, praying and I read one of his many informative books that identified the 7 types of ADHD. After consulting with my husband, we felt a strong pull to make an appointment. From making appointments to general communication, the clinic is impressive. We can't say enough wonderful things about the staff - especially the nurse who administered the testing and made Levi comfortable enough to let him put the IV in his arm. I also can't give enough praise to Dr. Chakra for his detailed evaluation and his caring follow-up appointments. Dr.Amen's natural supplements along with the care plan for our son have made a miraculous change in my son and for our family. I visited the Amen Clinic of Atlanta in June 2023. It was a desperate reach for answers and help… I had a rough postpartum, depression had taken over, and none of the previous psychiatrist were able to help.. I walked down the hallway after doing the Brain Imaging, the staff had stated it would be a couple weeks before I could see Dr. Mathew.. Dr. Mathew’s assistant ran down the hall stopped me, “Dr. Mathew has an opening next week, would this work?” Dr. Mathew’s assistant was kind, understanding, and could see how bad I was struggling. I met with Dr. Mathew, I remember sitting on her couch and my anxiety was through the roof, my depression had stolen my hope, and I just prayed she could help me. I explained what I had been through, the scary thoughts I had encountered out of nowhere, the anxiety, and the insomnia. Dr. Mathew was compassionate, kind, and spoke in layman’s terms for us. I appreciated her empathy and her work ethic. She was determined to help me, I had not seen that from any prior psychiatrist. I remember thinking, “this woman barely knows me, but she truly cares about me and my family.” I went from rarely able to take care of my children because of my condition, to taking care of children full time. Dr. Mathew truly helped me and is currently still on that journey with me. I went from depression and falling on my knees crying and begging for healing to now living an everyday life with my family. For any moms or moms to be, I encourage you if you are suffering from postpartum or depression please speak up. Please don’t suffer alone, I found help through the Amen Clinic and Postpartum Therapy. What an an amazing experience my husband and I have had with Dr Kaur at the Amen Clinic!! Dr Kaur spent so much time explaining the results from the tests and functional scans and helping me understand what’s happening as we go through the tough diagnosis of dementia. We found some great, good, and bad reviews of the Amen Clinic... and we were told by our Mayo Clinic doctors that they would not look at those scans, because-the studies were just not "big" enough for Mayo. We were told by friends it was snake oil...we were desperate to help our kids. Fast forward several months -my oldest is smiling, has A's in school, a group of friends... things I would torture myself with at night thinking they would never have, or be able to keep. I have my child back, the child I knew they were inside, we just had to find them. Dr.Chakra is smart, careful, thoughtful, thorough, patient, kind, and speaks slowly so we catch everything. If you are thinking of going to Amen clinic, and specifically working with Dr. Ali , please read this review. I came to Amen clinic as a last resort. I have been suffering for the last 40 years with depression and anxiety of unknown origin. I had been diagnosed as bipolar by several psychiatrist and spent hundreds of hours in talk therapy, many different medications and nothing helped. So I came to Amen clinic got my brain scan, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Turns out, I have PTSD and not bipolar. Also turns out, that all the medication’s previously prescribed to me do not work with my genetic make up, I did not know this because no one has tested my genetic make up before, but Amen clinic did. After my blood work was done, it turns out I was deficient in many vitamins and minerals, and so I was prescribed some heavy duty, vitamins, and minerals to get me back to normal levels. This made a difference. Then I started in on my EMDR therapy, which I have to admit, was quite challenging, but after sticking with it for over a year, I can honestly say that I am a completely different person. I had so much success that my brother who has suffered from depression also went to Amen clinic in San Diego and got his scan done. Turns out he has ADHD and was prescribed a medicine he had never been given before and he has a story of a changed life as well. I highly, highly recommend this clinic. It is expensive and insurance paid for none of it, but I was able to put it on care credit and pay it off slowly. It was absolutely 100% worth it. Dr Ali treats the whole patient, he was available, and went over and above working with my limited $$, and I know he was on my team and wanted the best for my whole person.

I was recommended Dr. Amen's Clinic from my mother's friend and watched his videos. These videos were really informative and made me curious about what might come about if my brain were scanned. Well, it revealed several brain injuries and PTSD, which was a surprise to me. After receiving the recommended treatment plan, I started taking Total Brain & Body Max, Curcumin, and Happy Saffron supplements. I also completed 14 hrs of Infa-Red Sauna, 17 hrs. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and 500 mg. of NAD IV Therapy, which was in my treatment plan. They have all helped me with my healing and also helped me maintain a drug free lifestyle. I noticed after a couple of weeks, I no longer needed naps to get through the day. My energy level is coming back. I now practice self-guided meditation, participate in daily bible study, attend church, and offer my service to clean my church, play drums for my church, participate in community service (Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity). I have started CBT therapy once/week, as recommended in my treatment plan. I would not have known about these available treatment plans, if it had not been for Dr. Amen's Clinic. Dr. Kaur is not only knowledgeable, but is very helpful, supportive, and easy to talk to. It has been a great overall experience and has improved my mental health significantly. I am looking forward to seeing even more improvement as I continue his recommended treatment plan for me.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the life-changing experience I've had at Amen Clinic, all thanks to the exceptional care and expertise of Dr. Harki. The positive impact on my life has been nothing short of miraculous. From the very beginning, Dr. Harki approached my situation with a data-driven methodology, using a SPECT brain scan to uncover the root cause of my issues. This scan revealed overactivity in my frontal lobe, left temporal lobe, amygdala, and nucleus accumbens, as well as a rarely active cerebellum. I brought my son to Amen Clinics after exhausting so many other options. Doctors would never try to find the root of his problems - they only wanted to add more medication to the medication that was not working. This just added to his frustration and he felt like there was no hope for him to ever get better. After his assessments, Dr. Peoples gave us such a thorough explanation of what was actually happening, suggested some additional tests to confirm what she thought and put us on the correct path. She gave him practical ideas of things that he could do that would specifically address his needs and didn’t just say ‘let’s try another medication.’ She told us which medications would be most effective for his needs. I am 62 yrs old and have struggled for many yrs with ptsd, depression, anxiety, a.d.d, memory and sleep problems. Been to many doctors and been on alot of meds thru-out the yrs. I wanted answers as to why I felt like this for so long.. I moved to Atlanta from Massachusetts in Aug. 2022.. I was so very happy to see that there was an Amen Clinic in the city.. From the very first call that I made to find out all about the services they offer, to everyone I encountered in the process of having the testing and scans, were all extremely pleasant and very helpful.. I got the answers I was looking for and all my concerns and questions were heard and explained. Basically, my brain is on overload! Dr. Kaur is my psychiatrist and she is excellent!!!! She spent a lot of time with me explaining in detail what my scans and testing meant. I asked many questions and she took the time to explain each and everyone one. The consultation with Dr Kaur was overwhelming, because it was a lot to process, but I was so very relieved and impressed to find out that the zoom was recorded and sent to me, so I could go back and watch it any time I wanted, to go over anything I missed any time I wanted.. Also, after the scans, I was put on supplements to calm my brain and start feeling better, and that first week or so, I had some challenges with taking them, so I called the office several times with many questions.. Yvelisse Villafuerte, in the front office took a few frantic calls from me and they were handled with the greatest of ease and she relayed the message to Dr Kaur and she would get back to me asap.. Which was in a very timely manner and/or I would email them about something and get an answer the same day. That is definitely not something I was use to! I have been taking the supplements for over a month now and have definetly been feeling better!!! I have had follow-up appointments with Dr Kaur and she has been very helpful and gives good advice. I can’t speak highly enough about this place and I highly recommend it!!!

We were initially reluctant to use Amen Clinics due to the controversy surrounding celebrity founder, Dr. Amen; however, nothing of my experience supports this suspicion. I received a SPECT scan, and through interpretation from my physician, Dr. People's, much light was shed on my complex mental health issues, which years of therapy and medication have not resolved. I was sincerely impressed by Dr. People's evaluation of my scans. She was incredibly professional, well-spoken, and knowledgeable. This PLACE IS AMAZING.I tried this place out because I needed some help. My hope was lost honestly about my situation and what I was going through (and still am going through) and my mom and I came across this and thought that this might change my life. I came in to the brain scan result appointment thinking that they would say that there was nothing wrong with my brain and it was all for nothing. That was far from the truth. They took the time to tell me what a healthy brain looked like and then revealed what my brain look like. That appointment wasn't just a few minutes but two hours and actually recommended recording the conversation as there were so many details that would have been hard to remember. The staff for all parts of the process were incredibly friendly. The main doctor also steered away from recommending medication and instead recommended their supplements. They want to treat you that way way before they introduce a medication in (but they will do both if you want medication too). I just love that they aren't forcing you to go on medication like other places I have gone on. 10/10 PLACE TO GO TO. Worth every penny.Because of this scan and the program they set in place for me, I now have hope. Thank you. :)

We have been to Doctor after doctor looking for someone to treat my daughter. We couldn’t find anyone who really was familiar enough with what was going on with her to treat her adequately. She relayed the perfect combination of a technically detailed description of my results from my scans and computer testing, with real life, layperson easy to understand explanations of what everything means. I was terrified that my results were going to reveal something bad (propensity for early dementia/alzheimers), and she assured me that my results did not point to that at all. Our experience with Amen Clinics has been life-changing. Our family is finally finding peace after years of chaos. We received more information during the 1-month evaluation process at Amen than we learned in the three years prior. The process of getting a scan and evaluation was surprisingly . I fell asleep during both scans because I was so comfortable, no enclosed machine, no loud noise. The results were very clear and validating. I received protocol advice from an Amen M.D. that I will be implementing with my local neurologist. I consider the program "smoke and mirrors". We were entranced by the possibilities however disappointed. Once we had paid for the x-ray, etc we were/are at a loss as to what to do with the findings, as sketchy as they are. The follow up from Amen Clinic is non existent. Even when I contacted them afterwards for help, they were less than helpful, it was impossible to get past the receptionist! All I can say is shame on them. We are in our 70's, retired on a limited budget therefore it was a financial burden to, hopefully, help our adult grandchild, wasted money.

We have been working with Dr. Ali for over two years now and he is phenomenal. We started seeing him before Covid and we were able to establish a relationship, but if we hadn't did an in person evaluation and work up I strongly believe he would've still given outstanding care. Life Changing!!! Within 48 hours of beginning Dr Patel's plan, a calm came over my body and brain that I had never experienced in my life. The jackrabbit in my head that I thought was normal, left the building. Working with this team, my life, marriage and family will never be the same. 49 years of struggling and 21 years of medication, I have finally found the real answers. The team did a thorough analysis of me and my life upfront... and I mean thorough, in addition to the brain scans, gave Dr Patel what he needed to develop a custom, fit for me, treatment plan. Who in the world would have thought that eight things, like avocado, cinnamon, spinach, cashews, walnuts, tomatoes etc were causing my body to severely struggle. How has none of my high and low dollar psychiatrists not known that one of my meds of 21 years has actually been damaging my brain? I am on a custom, intensive detox and gut restoration the first 30 days before making any changes to meds. The scans of my brain clearly reveal significant struggles. During my life, however, it has forced me to develop unique strengths that have lead to the starting of 4 successful companies and adventures in countries all over the world. I've heard and read about Dr. Daniel Amen for awhile now and didn't think I would ever be able to go to one of his clinics and get my brain scanned (SPECT). I was able to travel to Atlanta and had the opportunity to get a closer look at my brain activity and bloodflow through this scan and have a deeper analysis of underlying cognitive impairments. This stuff is cutting edge psychology, neurology, and medical imaging. It is a little pricey, but price is well worth it if you are having psychological conditions in which you want deeper, medical answers for their causes. Staff was friendly, hardly any wait and very through with diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Highly recommend.

My husband was experiencing an onset of memory loss and anxiety attacks. This was so foreign to his identity. A neurologist diagnosed MCI... Mild Cognitive Impairment. He said there was nothing we could do but come back every 7 months and he would see if there was any more progression happening! We got to Dr Amen’s Clinic and found a much more thorough examination. The blood test gave meaningful answers. The questionaires and interviews were evaluated in detail. The 2 Spect scans made sense of all he was experiencing. Although the diagnosis was sobering it gave us hope with a proven protocol when caught early. We are coachsble. We are all in. We are impressed with the staff and ongoing “coaching” the clinic is giving to help us achieve success. The staff is very professional and at the same time, very invested relationally. Wonderful experience and VERY interesting to learn how my sons brain works and how what we have thought was the fix all this time for "his" ADHD (stimulant medication) has actually been making things worse for "his" brain and "his" combo of ADD! It's not.

My doctor, Muneer Ali, is a compassionate listener & knowledgeable about the different issues I face (PTSD, ADD, OCD). Hyper Active Kids I need some help with this .. if a child is Hyper Active shouldn’t there be some kind of test done before diagnosis of just prescribing Im saying what happened to the series of tests.. shouldn’t there be neurological tests done.. blood work done.. and more that can be done that I don’t know.. weigh in let me know..so I can advise someone who needs help. Thanks.
